Texted with Dan about cloning a Mercedes ECM. He responded quickly and said he could do it. I paid $199 on the website and sent my ECM and donor in. It was returned within a few days. However, the donor ECM was not cloned completely. The VIN was not coded, only the security hashes were coded. The car did not start.I texted Dan on five different days, November 17th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th. I was asking if he could complete the job I paid for. He never responded. No communication.He responds quickly to make the sell, but no customer service afterwards. I issued a chargeback with my credit card. I don't recommend doing business with this company.In one of the pictures I posted. You can see the original vin at the top read from the original ECM. At the bottom you can see the vin for the incomplete cloned unit. They are supposed to match. They don't.

I needed an expert to help diagnose an electric problem and they were able to when the dealership told me it was impossible. Karman Auto is fantastic! I had a problem with the communication between the dash and BCM on my GMC Canyon. Karman Auto fixed the problem when the dealer said it couldn't be done! Additionally, their turnaround time and communication are second to none. Shipped my modules to them from Ohio and they had them back in my hands in no time, and in perfect working order. I will be recommending to all my friends! pleasure doing bossiness with you Karman Auto.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 that had an issue with the airbag module which caused the light to go off and throw a code to the effect that the driver s side pretensioner squib was shorted to battery. All of my probing and testing with a multimeter revealed that nothing was out-of-spec. I ordered an identical module off of eBay because that part was discontinued in 2019 (Thanks a lot Chrysler!) and installed it only to find out that it was not configured for side air bags. I sent my original module and the module that I had just purchased to Karman, and about a week or two later, the module came back properly configured and worked perfectly with no airbag light.Service: Electrical repair

Great service, fast service on my replacement GM NAV radio. I live East coast and turn around time was good. Karman Auto did what dealership couldn't and saved me money in long run. Highly recommended!

KarmanAuto was my third attempt at getting my instrument cluster fixed and they did not disappoint. Due to distance and my particular service it took a few attempts at reprogramming my cluster. I dealt with someone who's name was Olga via email communication. Olga was extremely friendly and worked with me every step of the way. Communication was very fast and shipping was the same. It took some time for my cluster to get to it's final revision, however, the end result was exactly as I wanted. I'm very satisfied with the service. Thank you so much!Service: Electrical repair

It's been more than a month and no response. I sent in $1200 in Sprinter computer parts to be reprogrammed, following instructions on the Karman site. Confirmed they arrived. Paid $275 for the service. I have left maybe a dozen emails, texts, and voicemails. I just want a sign, but I may have to file a police report. EDIT: The shop did eventually send back the parts after 2.5 months. There was much rejoicing. The parts were marked "OK" with no other explanation or communication. They worked fine. Ultimately, this was a matter of poor communication and unacceptably slow service rather than a scam, which is a relief.Service: Electrical repair

They were able to help me out significantly compared to dealership. I needed a re-vin from a fried computer on my 05 Subaru and couldn t pass smog with it. They had it done promptly and no issues.

I would like to thank the team at "Karman Auto" for successfully programming my WSP/Key and DME. I would highly recommend there services to anyone experiencing control module programming issues. All you will need is patience with there team and they will get it done 100%... NOTE: You might feel they forgotten about you or not responding to your emails and calls but they are busy programming, not ignoring you. Remember sometimes difficulties can be experienced cause of a part that is malfunctioning and maybe that's why your vehicle is not starting or performing as designed.Great Job! I sure will use your services again.

I purchased an ecu off of ebay and sent it in for programming. The guys at Karmen Auto notified me that the unit was water damaged, and went above and beyond to help me prove it when the ebay seller denied my return. They communicated with me and are helping me get my new ecu in for programming from the data that they still have. It can be difficult to communicate with them, I had luck using the message option on their Google business listing and they always got back to me. Thanks for everything Karmen Auto, I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Quick, professional and extremely helpful in my experience.Service: Electrical repair

TL;DR - excellent services, terrible communication. I mailed in my ECU all the way from Ohio and I got it back in roughly 10 days (including Christmas in there). Called/texted multiple times to see if they were in the shop that week, and heard nothing. It's a little worrying to send your valuable stuff all the way out there and then not hear anything, but they did the job and did it well, so no complaints. ECU went into my 06 subaru outback and fired up no problem. Thanks for saving me a ton of $$ at the dealership!Service: Electrical repair

I was seriously thinking about using this business because their website talked like they could really do good work. But I looked at the negative reviews and it was kind of scary. I reached out to Mr. Stahl and he confirmed that he had not heard anything from the company. Although there seems to be some success stories it is not worth taking the chance that you might be one of the dissatisfied customers. Thanks Mr. Stahl for you honesty.

Tried contacting first of December. Never heard back. Decided to try again and then saw all of the ratings. Decided it was better to pay Toyota $600 then have to take a chance with Karman. I don t want any of his karma

Here is a belated thank you for saving us at least $1,500 in repairs on our 2009 Forester. We had almost decided to junk the car rather than pay the dealer an outrageous amount for a new ECU. But we ended up paying $98 for a used ECU on eBay and sent it to Karman to be programmed for another $150. We were half expecting it not to work, but as soon as we plugged it in and turned the key, the old gal fired up and is running like a top. All warning lights are now off. You were very helpful from the beginning when I wasn t sure if the replacement part was even the right match for our car. You were prompt in replying to my questions and the turnaround time was surprisingly fast. Keep up the good work.Jim Hicks2009 Forester

I needed an air bag module reset for my Audi. I purchased the service and shipped it off. It took a couple months to get it back in spite of me calling and emailing multiple times (almost no response). I got it back and it had more errors than when I had sent it out. I decided to press my luck again and finally got them to respond. They said to send it back and a couple months later and more ignored attempts at communication it finally showed up and to my surprise was actually fixed! I wouldn't recommend them as far as mailing something to them goes.Service: Electrical repair

I would love to be able to give them five stars at this time but as a poor communication and misunderstandings about time and mailing dates tracking number and mis-hap at mailroom, and days not responding to emails and phone calls not returned and just a short text days later (sorry can't talk now) is all I got. Still haven't received my ecu back or help finding it. I guess I'll pray about it now, hope for the best

I wouldn t really recommend this company on any shipping items, because poor communication I shipped my ecm is for reprogramming. I ve gotten no response on the progress or when I could expect my ecm to arrive back. They re probably a great local shop but sending them anything feels like a scam because they ll never answer or respond to text/call.Service: Electrical repair

Recently sent them Mercedes-Benz ecu for cloning service. They performed service within 24 hours and Shipped back my ecu fast. Installed everything works. Problem fixed. This guys are true professionals. Fast service, easy communication, fair price. Highly recommended. Thanks

Karman Auto is legit and reliable company! I came for alignment, they did excellent job on that of course. More to that, they actually pointed to critical parts on my car that required attention to prevent a future breakdowns and headaches. The easiest parts they point, I fixed myself, but for professional help I did look around. Got some estimates here and there, definitely around my budget. But eventually I'm glad I came back to Karman auto. In a first place, It was affordable, professional, and very kind customer service. They explained crucial issues, what has to be done. But I let them do it. And they did excellent job. No more lights on dashboard and I'm very happy! Problem solved! Nevertheless, afterwards my friends told me, they actually always go there for whatever they need. I should of ask them in a first place, but I searched the internet. They actually told me, they have; ECU, cluster, SRS, or ABS problems. They found It's most affordable and reliable place they ever knew. I definitely will go back to them if I'll have any issues with my car. Especially car electronics. Highly recommend it myself, It was a pleasant service and experience. Thank you guys, I'm very satisfied with the results! 5 stars for sure!!!

I was skeptical but it was worth a shot as the shop estimate for a new ECM and programing was $3900. 2001 Mercedes C240 with only 92000 miles on it. Original ECM was water damaged. I purchased a used ECM on Ebay for $40.00. I purchased their service for $180.00 and sent them both ECM's. I received them back in less that one week and installed the clone and the car fired right up without any fault codes. Quite amazing. Thank you!!!

Recently sent them a VW cluster to clone. Got it back and it s worse off than what it was when I sent it. Tried to get a refund or at least an excuse why they can t refund my money. I ve called, sent texts, and left messages. No response what so ever. I have never gotten anyone to answer the phone period. They did respond to a few texts but only when they would benefit from it. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! Not sure how they re still even in business.Service: Electrical
