Recently bought a used Volvo from Jim Fisher. The easiest car buying experience I have ever had! Price was right, trade in price was right, no negotiation needed. I was financing with my credit union, they never pressured me to finance with them or to pull my credit. The finance manager Conner went above and beyond, with sending POs and communicating quickly. He even installed my cargo cover a few weeks after when I came to get it! Dale was the salesmen we went through and he was great. I will definitely come back to Jim Fisher in the future!

Wonderful service department! We bought our 2007 Volvo V70 new & drove it for 16 years & 176,000 miles. Rich was my service lead all those years & always provided good advice & service. Everyone has been friendly, respectful, & kept us safely on the road. Highly recommended! Driving gratefully on :)

At first their wait time for a service appointment was unreasonably long (over 3 months out), but after scheduling an appointment with another dealership 90 miles away and then having that appointment cancelled due to weather conditions I tried calling Jim Fisher Volvo again. They were able to get me in the next day for my now overdue 2 year/20K mile service appointment. The appointment went well and I have no complaints. Still not 5 star worthy due to the hassle getting an appointment in the first place.

My wife and I purchased a vehicle from here recently, and I found the customer service to be on par with TSA. Maybe it s me being a Mellinal, but waiting for a salesperson to stop watching football in their office (several minutes) to show me a vehicle is nonsense, especially if they are making a commission. The salesperson (different from the football fan), completely ignored my wife while she asked questions and told me all the specs; my wife is an engineer, and this quickly became a game of telephone where I had to ask the questions to get answers to her questions. I consistently get a better and more professional experience at the gas station 3 blocks up the street.Had there been a similar model closer than the east coast we would have gone elsewhere. Other than the key batteries going dead after a month the car is amazing.

Had a really great experience working with Dale on my recent car purchase. The main reason is because I feel like he was honest the entire time. You are either going to find a car with the features you like or you arent. I never once felt like I was getting fed some kind of line or random fees thrown in just because its Thursday. Ultimately, I got a great car and the price was in my budget. If you are looking for a Volvo I would highly recommend Dale at Jim Fisher first.

No haggling, just got exactly what we ordered, for the quoted price. Not even one attempt to upsell dealer extras. Everything first class and transparent in both sales and service. Would definitely purchase another car with them, and will continue to use their service department.

I came for parts for our XC90 and overall good experience. Lots of new and pre owned Volvos! Nice showroom too and charge stations for EVs. Great prices on genuine Volvo parts too. Parking is pretty lousy though.

I have been buying luxury vehicles for decades and this dealership is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. The buying experience was poor, acting like they were doing me a favor by selling me a vehicle. The service department is the worst I've ever encountered. Every single time I've taken my XC60 to them, they've spent more time trying to explain to me why I don't have a problem than they do actually searching for the cause of the issue I brought it in for....and in the end all they simply say is "I guess we can reload the software". In addition, scheduling appointments with the service department is a joke. "We are currently scheduling appointments 4 months out". FOUR MONTHS! I get that staffing shortages are an issue that every business today is struggling with, but that is simply ridiculous. I love the styling and handling of my vehicle. But this experience has certainly ensured that I'll likely never own a Volvo again. I most certainly would not recommend using this dealership.

Jim Fisher Volvo is the most amazing establishment in the whole Portland metro area and even in the whole state of Oregon for that matter. The staff here always is so friendly and honest. When I call or email about anything, they always answer immediately with a solution for anything Volvo or even life problems :)I have a Volvo XC60, who I named Betty and Jim Fisher is the only place I will take her. The very first time I went into this wonderful place, I had a minor issue with a notification that I couldn t turn off from the instrument panel. Nick answered the phone and when I had explained the issue he told me to just come in. Not knowing what to expect, I arrived he had me park the car. Immediately investigated the issue I was having, and fixed just like that. Not only did he correct what was going on but he showed me what it meant, whether it needed to be addressed or not, when and why. He went through each step with me and showed me how to get this back to normal since there was no problem, just a tire calibration message.I have since had my car serviced with my oil changes and brakes replaced. When I called in with an emergency because a dear friend of mine had a stroke and I had to reschedule, not only did they accommodate but Jennifer who helped me address the issue helped me get through this difficult time I was having, who was there with her support, listened to me and even cared to follow up, which means the world to me. . Jennifer is truly a hard working and extremely compassionate person who I now call my dear dear friend. Trust me when I say you will feel loved and taken Good care of, the moment you walk in the door. Every time I get my car back from whatever service it had, it s always clean and more beautiful than when I brought it in. I highly recommend that you take your Volvo here and no where else if you are into goodness and excellence, which is so so hard to find these days.Tawnya

Once again, the Jim Fisher Volvo of Portland has gone above and beyond. Special thanks to Nick, their service department and technicians for replacing my failed tire on a short notice.

Purchased a used XC90 from the sales team in December. Process was easy and seamless. Couple of things stopped functioning soon after, the steering wheel buttons and the 12V battery for start/stop. Was nervous about making an appointment given the review history of this shop. However, Rich called to confirm my appointment well in advance. Dropped the car off on a Thursday going out of town and picked it up on Wednesday. Not only were all our issues resolved, the car was detailed inside and out. Additionally there was a small piece of tubing that had come loose and was just banging around the car. The team, without prompt, put the part back where it belonged. Obviously not a huge task, but nice we didn t even need to ask and make a big issue about it. We are impressed.

I purchased a used XC 90 that came from Jim Fisher Volvo. Recently my SUV was in an accident. Upon impact the air bags deployed. The steering wheel was poorly designed and the emblem exploded sending pieces flying. The triangle piece of the logo lodged into my hand (that wasn't on the wheel.) I ended up needing hand surgery and have some long term nerve damage. I thought Volvos were supposed to be safe in an accident but I don't buy that anymore. These weren't the only injuries but are the only ones caused by the steering wheel malfunction.

Used them for service the last five years or so, and within the last two years we ve gone through them their lack of customer service by the service reps, lengthy scheduling issues, and seemingly willing to do the bare minimum while punting on real issues. Used to think this was the place to take the car you cared about to.

These guys consistently disappoint when I call. They are booked out months for safety recall work (making my car undriveable, it will overheat and catch fire if I drive it... XC90 coolant hose is dumping coolant on the cat converter. They won't give me the $100 in parts for me to do the repair (policy, I understand that). They have no loaners. The parts guy wouldn't even give me a discount on parts they are supposed to install per NHTSA requirements! He said, "Service isn't my department. It's their fault." Guess what? You're all Jim Fisher Volvo to me. I love these cars, and really won't ever call this dealership for any reason again. They simply don't care about anything except maybe selling new/used cars!

Hands down the best car buying experience we have ever had. We worked with Mark on getting Volvo xc60. We made some mistakes on our end but he was still able to accommodate us and get us the vehicle we wanted. I think the actual car buying process took 60 minutes. That was with him even walking us through setting up the car and how to use some of the functions. We will definitely but here again!

I stopped in today to look at new SUV s . After a few minutes of being alone in the showroom I was greeted by an aggressive salesman who did not like the fact that I wanted to look at gas and electric versions. Luckily one xc90 model was open in the showroom and I was able to check it out. When I went over to his office and asked him if I could look at other models ,he grabbed a few keys and walked outside ahead of me to unlock them. He then pointed me in the general direction of where they where at , said which 2 models he had chosen to unlock and went back inside.I gave them 2 stars instead of one since the rude salesman left me alone when viewing the electric cars outside. The xc60 with leather was a good looking suv but it was locked up so I just drove away instead of seeing that guy again.

The best experience buying a vehicle. Very nice people. No up selling. In and out under in about an hour.

Jim Fisher's customer service was fine enough but the service team here is useless. I took my vehicle in here to fix a misfire and they told me it was because of "after market spark plugs" and charged me to replace all 8. This did not fix my issue as my spark plugs were entirely fine and were of quality. When I took my vehicle back in they made up some other issues and still could not fix my issue. When I then took my car to a private repair company they immediately knew it was my coil pack and told me the Volvo dealership should have the same tools they have to access a vehicles issues. Never take your car for work here ever they will do nothing but be useless, make up fixes, and overcharge you.

Top notch service! I don't have a local service center nearby so I drove about 750 miles to Jim Fisher and it was worth the trip.

Jim Fisher Volvo is our favorite car dealership we've ever dealt with. Our first experience, several years ago was the lowest-pressure car buying experience I've ever been a part of. Our most recent purchase was not quite as smooth due to a genuine miscommunication. The headline is, that they worked with us until we came to a solution that everyone could live with. If you're in the market for a Volvo, look no further. Stop in and talk with Dale. We have made 3 purchases through Dale. He is an endless reservoir of Volvo knowledge, as is Rich in the service department!. John, the sales manager is rock solid too!

Well located for folks in the city. The myriad of no left turns when approaching can catch you out if you've not plugged it into Maps. The staff here are professional and in line with what I would expect when evaluating luxury cars. The show room has an air of ease about it. It feels nice.

I bought a Garmin Navigation system through Volvo when I bought my car 10 years ago IN MA. It stopped working. Bought a new battery. Still didn't work. Three other dealers didn't even want to look at the problem. Nick said bring it by. They got out the diagrams of how it was wired in ten years ago, discovered it was a fuse and replaced it. NO CHARGE Guess where I'll go the next time......!

I came into the dealership to buy a few items for my car. The first salesman I spoke to was nice enough to direct me to the parts department and the person in the parts department was also quite nice and very professional. As I was leaving, I spoke to a different salesman because I had a question about a feature on my car. When I asked for his help, he responded you gotta talk to the guy that sold you the car buddy . I responded really ? He said, yup . I walked out and decided on my drive home that I ll be taking my business to Herzog-Meier Volvo from now on. There was no reason for his condescending attitude and it seemed apparent he was not interested in customer service.

Salesman was very condescending, constantly challenging me on the motives for me wanting to buy a C40 all electric SUV in front of my wife. The sales people (even the highly experience ones like the one I got) need people's skills.

We just got hung up on while on hold for scheduling a routine service maintenance. And last year we had our service it took 4 times longer than they said due to "unforeseen shipping delays" on a part. We kept getting the run around of "it'll be here tomorrow" for weeks. When asked why they said along the lines of "it happens a lot right now." Why were we not told we wouldn't have a car for well over 2 weeks if happens A LOT? We should have been given a rental at that point for free. Ridiculous.

When my car is in for routine service appointments at Jim Fisher Volvo, I appreciate the personal attentiveness and thoroughness of my service agent, Rich. He makes sure to ask and listen to my responses on why I've brought my car in for service; explains what items the service department will be working on/taking care of; asks if I need a ride (they have a shuttle service for customers), while also letting me know that there is a full-service waiting area available; and he follows up with a phone call (if I am not in the on-site waiting area) to let me know the progress and/or if there are any other issues that are discovered and asking if I would like to take care of those items while the car is in service. Rich is always personable and professional, and doesn't pressures me to make a decision - he is sure to explain things thoroughly so I can make an informed decision. Great customer service = loyal customer.

Jim Fisher Volvo is among the most upstanding and easy to work with dealerships out there. No markups, no games, just straight talk and high levels of customer service. I worked with Dale Neely in sales and would recommend him to anyone.

Fun to drive loaner cars while getting repairs done. I feel confident in the work performed and that they'll stand behind the work they do. I love my Volvo, especially now she's all dialed in. Since Covid people have been keeping their cars and appointments can be really far out - 6 weeks or more... good to have a backup plan in an emergency repair situation.

I brought my Volvo to Jim Fisher for service and was so pleased with the customer service. Originally I came in as another mechanic told me I need d a new timing belt; Jim Fisher service said "noooo" and gave the Volvo a thorough look over. The timing belt was fine (which saved me almost $700.) Marvin was extremely kind and helpful through the entire process. I was able to get a rental car through the dealership which was helpful as I don't live locally. I'll honestly never go anywhere else again! Thank you so much. Highly recommend.
