By far the fastest and smoothest warranty repair experience!! The got my jeepish in the same day and the radiator housing replaced in two days! I ll be coming back for sure for all preventative maintenance and repairs!! Thank you Jonathan and everyone at Honest auto for making a highly anxious situation into a nice and smooth experience!!

I am SO grateful for Honest Auto. My car was vandalized and I needed a new steering column but the parts needed were backordered. Ryan managed to find parts at a salvage yard and and reassembled my steering column This was something that could have easily taken months but my car was ready in less than 2 weeks. I'm so impressed with their work. I know nothing about cars but Honest Auto has always taken time to explain what my car needs and listen to my concerns/questions. THANK YOU

I needed a sensor repaired on my Lexus same day and they were great! Dropped it off in the morning and they were very communicative throughout the whole process. Very nice people and great service! Highly recommend!

Honest Auto Repair is a fantastic shop! They not only repaired my 2011 Chevy Tahoe, but came in $200 under the estimate, dropped me off at home that morning but stayed to fix my transmission problem until 7:00pm on a Friday(closed at 5pm) to complete the repair knowing that I had only one vehicle. Plus they delivered my vehicle to my home around 7:30pm because I m disabled. I will definitely refer these guys to My family and friends.Thank you Honest Auto!Monte Landaker

Can't thank Honest Auto Repair on their great work on my daughter's Honda. They went above and beyond expectations and took care of the repair on her car in a timely and expert way. They kept us posted on what was needed and got it done. Highly recommend this shop!!!!!

When they say "Honest" it's definitely the truth!! My Volvo Xc90 has been there and they are always keeping in contact with me and letting me know everything! I will be your number 1 customer always!! At first I was worried cuz I never really went to a mechanic shop before and of course all the crazy stories people hear.. I can say for sure these people are very nice! I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

I had an antenna snap off of my 2000 Chevy Camaro Z28 going through a car wash. I took it to the dealer, who said the part is no longer manufactured and couldn't repair it. I called around and found Aaron at Honest Auto Repair who said he thought they could do it, but needed to see the car first. It turned out that by making a small part, they were able to put in the factory antenna, and even made it so the antenna could unscrew before going through a car wash where the factory one was fixed and could not be removed. Great effort all around by Aaron and his mechanics. Even though I live on the west side, it was worth the drive to go to NE 80th to get my car fixed like new. The price was excellent, and the word "honest" resonated with me when it was time to pay my bill. Great job, and I would go back for any other needed work in the future. Thanks Aaron!

I am not very car savvy and always feel nervous going to auto shops alone as a woman. I ve used this shop twice now and both times every one is so sweet, explains things patiently until I understand, and do every thing to make it as affordable as possible. Been using them for oil changes for my SUV (diesel) and my wife s (hybrid) so it s nice they can do both types of oil changes for us. Super great service. I believe they do their work honestly as the name aptly suggests. Nice people, very communicative, and fair price! Will use them for anything I need in the future.

I HIGHLY recommend this auto service to anyone and everyone!! The "honest" in their name is oh so true! I live 140 miles away from them and needed to find help with my car that I loan to my daughter. I had the car towed there and Aaron got back to me the very same day! Communication is great and straightforward! The repairs were done in record time and at the estimated cost! If I need work done on any of my cars again I will use their services exclusively!!! Made an appointment and ended up having to tow my car in a week earlier. They were super helpful and accommodating! After a day I got the inspection results and estimates via text (how awesome!). I had some insurance things to deal with and they handled it all very quickly! A week later I got my car back and it's as good as new! I needed a new clutch- the release bearing had gone bad and a new idler pulley. They were very friendly, efficient and quality work. Even comes with a 3 year or 30000 mile warranty on their work. I would absolutely recommend this place to others! Arthur's did a GREAT job Fixing up my 1951 Chevy pickup. Looks so cool, and runs better than ever. I've owned it for close to 40 years, but let it fall into disrepair. Veille Does everything from simple oil changes to complete restorations and custom work. I came in one day with my brakes making this horrible squealing noise for a month. I had already gone to the Mitsubishi dealership a couple times and they kept my car overnight and said that it was normal, they sprayed some brake quiet on and they said they didn't see a problem with it. That lasted about half a day and they started screeching again. I called them back and they said if I wanted to pay $150 they would keep my car overnight again and have a real good look at it. I was so frustrated at this point because I was out of a car the day before, when they were "supposedly" looking at it. I said forget it. It was so loud and embarrassing that I didn't want to have my windows down. Finally I brought my car to Arthur's Automotive and Veille thoroughly looked at it and figured out it in the first hour that it was just a brake shim that was rubbing and needed to be replaced. He replaced it for free and he saved me $150 and a huge headache. Even with my little problem, it was so nice to be showed so much compassion. Thanks again, Update 2024 Still Coming here and Happy with there Service. Glad to Have Trusted Mechanics

Aaron the manager at Honest Auto Repair, seems to be an honest and fair person. He took my coupon for repairs of 499.+ giving me a nice discount of $47.00 off. He easily could of probably of excluded the use of the $47.00 off coupon and only accepted the $17.00 off for repairs between $99.00+ - $498.99, due to the coupon exclusions for not including the tires that I had bought through him, that he must of surely noticed!? Plus also I was supposed to mention the coupon at the time of booking the appointment with him. I really didn't even make an appointment then, due to being towed in on short notice... But Aaron decided to be very flexible with me when I suddenly needed two front tires and a special European car full synthetic oil change, which the coupon wouldn't cover, due to my Volkswagen Jetta requiring a very specific full synthetic oil change,(#5200-#5400) synthetic oil and oil filter made by Wix oil filter company.So if you want Honest and Fair service, Go to Honest Auto Repair company in Portland and see Aaron the manager. You surely will be more than satisfied like myself!

They provide great service, and it's honest. That's why they're the last honest mechanics.I took my Ram 3500, and my Chrysler 200. They do great work.My oil housing needed replacement in my car. I needed an oil change in my truck, and my auxiliary gas tank removed as well as some old diesel fuel removed in it.Highly recommend.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

My first time going to this shop. I had been putting off brake replacement. They got my car in the next day, had a quote and detailed list of suggested services for me to approve or deny by the end of the day. Two days later my car is out of the shop and no longer a death trap. Happy with the service and speed. Not complaining about the price either. Work was done for quoted price and there was good communication throughout the process. I brought my dad s truck to the kind folks at Arthurs. I felt comfortable when sounding out certain issues and when explaining the budget and the goals we had for the truck we were able to figure out a good plan. Their app allows you to pick and choose through repairs so that you can see how it impacts the overall cost of repairs. They assessed the truck and it s problems for free. Very easy process.

DON'T GO THEREThis shop is the biggest upholstery rip off joint in Oregon, run and managed by amateurs.I took my car Lincoln Town Car 1987 for a vinyl roof replacement...well, after a few days I get the call to pick up the car.On site, I found a mess! New vinyl was laid bare with new glue coat on the old unprepared roof, missing the foam left overs from the original roof, resulted in many bumps and valleys, and to make it worse, he glued the vinyl joints (instead of stitching them)!Lee did not take my legitimate complain well.. he is the owner/manager, and he supposedly the 'last honest mechanic' according to sign outside the shop, he arrogantly told me to take the car as is...because simply, he refuses to work on it to finish the job, so he kindly kept $150 for himself and refunded me $250 out of my $400 deposit. The actual written job estimate was $750.Now, my car has a glued vinyl piece that need to be replaced with some moldings in the trunk and some of the pieces completely missing...Now, I am looking for another upholster at greater $cost because of the mess and much more time wasted trying to find the missing pieces out in the wrecking yards!And that was the 'last honest mechanic' !Ten days gone by...I have made same complain to the BB Bureau, they are seriously looking into it...My claim is far from over Sir, I am waiting for the car to be finished, so I can furnish full cost/pictures/report of the whole Upholstery job by the professional current installer.Mr. Vielle Arthur emailed me on Sep 7th. offering to repay the $150.00 he allegedly kept for a miserable 'repair' on the glove box. Actually, he, also ruined the glove box, he drove multiple, visible SCREWS in it instead of gluing it!Photos speak volumes for anyone to see.It is not about the $150 anymore, my cost is a lot more now, and what comes into question, is his craftsmanship, customer relations, carelessness of customers' properties and overpricing... but craftsmanship tops the lot.BEWARE of 'the last honest mechanic' in Portland!Mike

Yesterday, the lights in my car started to dim, and some of the electrical accessories started acting up. I thought my alternator was failing, so I called around to a few mechanics to get a quote and check their availability. A few shops didn't have availability for almost a week.Honest Auto Repair was able to help me the same day I called, and tested my battery and alternator while I waited for about 15 minutes. They diagnosed that the alternator is fine, but the battery was old and no longer working properly. They were able to have a new battery delivered within 45 minutes and they performed a basic inspection while I waited. I was out the door for $167 total. Cheaper than a new battery from AutoZone.Overall, I'm incredibly satisfied with my first visit, and I will definitely be back in the future.

I was referred by my brother-in-law, Rick Fox. The oil change service with the discount coupon was the Best deal in town. I regret trading down on my jeep patriot for an older car...but i put my trust in Honest Auto Shop 100% for a good deal in the future. Truthfully,R.P. I have been here multiple times in the past year or so and have been treated well. I like the after hours drop off ability. It works in my schedule. All the work done so far (wheel bearings, replace front shocks.) has been affordable and quick.

Went there because the engine light was on. Had my car there all day , got charged a few hundred dollars for them to tell me it was a few bad wires that are now fixed. The next day the light was still on so I brought it back, car was there the whole day again. Got it back and was told they missed a few wires, but it s fixed now and they re going to do me a favor for not charging me extra. Drive away but the engine light was still on, I called them back and they said that it will go away soon. It never did, it been months now. Going to a different mechanic

I was in and out with my car repaired in under an hour! It was a minor issue with the headlights, and it was fixed super fast and for a very reasonable price. They are really honest and upfront when it comes to the true real issues of your car and explain it throughly to you so you actually understand ehars truly the issues or what actually needs one not sum other things just to make a dollar of customers. I love this place and will continue to come back to Honest Repair as long as need things done to my Car. Appreciate the service and honesty. I had a my catalytic converter stolen a while back along with some mysterious electrical issues to fix. I'd been to several mechanics who charged me to say "beats me". I took it to the guys at Arthur's Automotive and they had it sorted out in amazing time for a much more agreeable price than I had been quoted elsewhere. Not only do they know what they're doing but they're also very kind and neighborly folks. I appreciate them so much!

I hesitated writing this review because I used to live close. Last summer, summer of 2021, I came in with one of the tubes going to my radiator having a gash in it (I had to wrap tape around it so I could drive it home). I asked if they could replace it and the other one--I figured if one bust, the other could probably used to be replaced. They were luckily able to help me pretty quickly. While they had my car they mentioned seeing oil and coolant mixed in the oil change and recommended I replace the head gasket for the engine. Personally, I work on fixing semiconductor manufacturing equipment and appreciate when others give me their opinion on what I should do. It was a 1999 Buick Century at about 125k miles, but I figure okay sure it's time I guess. $2.5k bill, but whatever if I need it, sure.So I get my car back and everything seems fine for about 2 days. On the third day, my car is having difficulty steering. Like... as if there's no power steering fluid times 3. I dangerously coast my car back to the shop, gripping and yanking onto my steering wheel just to get my car to turn a corner. I explain that I just had my head gasket changed there and that I can barely turn my car. They take a look at it and say that I now need a new rack and pinion and it's all messed up. Strange I had no issues with it before the very large amount of maintenance I had on it. I also asked about my check engine light and was told it was my gas tank cap and they "they just threw a new one on for me" and charged me over another $1k to rebuild the new steering system which again was completely fine prior.After even all that, I started noticing that my engine would choke out after being warmed up, being turned off and trying to turn it back on again. I figured this was the air intake valve or something but when new issues arise twice just after paying someone else to do some maintenance on it, you don't go back and I ended up just selling my car than trying to deal with chasing other's mistakes.They're local and relatively kind, though so for that they get 3 stars.
