My car battery was on the verge of dying. I was recommended Honest-1 by the mechanic at AutoZone, and I m so glad I took them up on it. My battery change was done jn less than an hour and all staff were friendly and considerate. I d come back here for all repairs in an instant.

Awesome service and fair prices. Their service team is very personable and willing to work with you to get your vehicle on the road. I would recommend this to all friends and family any day of the week.

We brought in our old 1988 recreational vehicle, which had failed a DEQ test. They had to pull a manifold which was leaking, and the bolts had a potential to break, yet they completely restored it, and took it to DEQ themselves to make sure it passed. And, they stored it safely while we were away. they were professional, kind, and the price was reasonable!

Come on down to 82nd Dishonest 1Where they do unfinished work for full charge. Don't miss out on the "Tony's full ego treatment"That's right, full charge half the work and it's all yours! Unfinished and all!!The perfect treat for your wife's vehicle! No worries on the engine light. They'll reset it , so you know the problem is still there two miles away.Tony will offer the husband a refund only to call the wifes phone minutes later and deny.....REAL WORK .....REAL MEN "What was the last thing said , Tony?Good Luck, was it???"

They told me they'd call me after the diagnostic but instead, replaced a simple switch and wanted to charge me 400.00. When I talked to them, they said "we were 50/50 on even touching the electrical" the best they could do is 30.00 off the part. Not very "honest" if you ask me. Being on the fence on doing a job doesn't give you the right to charge me even 350.00 on a 35.00 headlight switch. I'd have gladly given them the 150.00 for diagnostics and done it myself. I should've told them I didn't approve the work and had them put the switch but "honestly" it was a bad day already and I chose peace over arguing and bad vibes. Lesson learned.

They were very nice, replaced the main drive belt on my car today for a very reasonable price, and it was sooner than I expected. I went back this afternoon to get estimates on additional work that needs to be done in the future. I would recommend Honest 1 auto care. They are a reliable and honest repair shop that does good work in a timely manner for a reasonable price!

I brought my car to Honest-1 Auto Care on 9-11-23 and Tony assured me he d call 9-12-23, which he did, explaining what needed to be done and the approximate cost. I picked my car up on 9-13 and paid exactly what was quoted on the phone. Tony explained the problem (misfiring engine) and what I might expect in the future, since my car is older. I so appreciated this and the fact that this is a trustworthy auto repair shop that fixed my car without a lot of other problems cropping up, which has been my experience in the past. My car is now running smoothly and I will definitely be returning when my Volkswagen needs either a tune up or repair. Thank you Tony and Honest-1 Auto Care!!!!

Loved coming here for years when it was Arthur s Auto. Where the heck is Arthur?! Been coming to this shop for 6 years. It was always reliable. Now that it s a new shop I have not received fair quotes for services. I recently went in to replace my passenger mirror glass, which costs $35 online for the part. The man at the front said they could get it to me by Monday and quoted me at $115, saying it would be a super quick installation. I had already watched a video online and it literally takes 20 seconds to install the glass. It pops right in. In what universe is charging $80 for 20 seconds of labor fair or justified?!! The audacity and disrespect is comical! And they probably got that mirror for half the cost. So yea I just installed myself, but now how could I ever trust them to work on my car if they re going to overcharge that much money. Looks like I ll need to find a new mechanic. Arthur if you still are affiliated with this shop please contact me directly

My girl was quoted $300 for parts and installation on fixing her 4-Wheel drive mechanism on her 2005 Dodge Ram. After pushing her back weeks after they acquired her part they scheduled an appointment. We left her truck and tried to drive off but the mechanic said to stick around, the fix would only take a few minutes. She was charged close to $100 for the labor on an installment that took minutes, which is understandable, there has to be a minimum but when we were paying the bill he said that he was going to charge her the 8 plus dollars for the shipping fee on the part. We don t like to be upped after first given a bill. Plus the installation took them minutes which they charged over $100, Honest 1 should have ate that shipping fee because besides that, everything was fine, its just adding that charge Which upped her bill the last second Even though it wasn t much left a bad taste in our mouths. We don t mind paying lots of money for minutes of work, but don t add charges on to the bill at the end

Twice I have come here for different jobs and they have been super efficient and knowledgeable in their finding a in my car. First was a headlight change and the next is my battery issues when I thought it was a starter issue. They checked via diagnostics and was able to squeeze me in on a weekend to help me get going. Super awesome service always came in feeling better about my car in the shop.Services: Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

Don t normally leave reviews, but I chose this place because of the positive reviews so I figured I needed to pay it forward. Definitely no where near my house, but I am glad I drove out of my way for the folks that work here. They were all very kind from coming in to make the appointment, the short wait for diagnosis, them handling the call with my warranty company and getting me back on the road. I appreciate the patience, honesty and quality work. I ve have no issues and I plan to come back for my 60K mile service. You won t regrets doing business with these folks.Service: Air conditioning

Tony was great. Really nice guy & you can tell he is an honest guy. I have not had good experiences with mechanic shops or car lots, but I feel like I am in good hands & I think this is where I'll be getting all my repairs done now.

Want to preface this review with I have only been once and it was almost a year ago now, but I figured I'd review after learning more about my car and it's specific problems since then.Essentially I had a bolt that had been put in the wrong place and loosened and fall out in my rack and pinion which caused me to not be able to steer. Luckily I was in a neighborhood trying to take a simple turn at the time so I just had to get towed somewhere and given it was a weekend at the time, I remember most places I called couldn't help until after the weekend or weren't open. Then I found Honest-1 Care and they accommodated me at the time perfectly. That is until it came to pickup my car, I had approved the work before hand but when I came to pickup, my steering wheel was completely upside down, and when I asked about it I was given the answer of "We don't know exactly, we'd have to go in and check and figure it out and it would be atleast 1-2 hours of work, and potentially parts." Absolutely ridiculous given all you needed to do was makesure the steering wheel was facing upright when you FIRST connected everything with the old or new bolt, or when you realized you hadn't, go and do it again! I've gone the past, atleast, 6 months with an upside down steering wheel, it's not too inconvenient but my blinkers rarely shut off when my wheel is straightened, and even shut off when I am in mid turn, and seeing my dash information isn't the easiest with the new obstruction.Wouldn't recommend to go here unless you know auto mechanics to a decent degree as they will take advantage of you and try to charge you extra for work that couldve been prevented/done without issue.

We took a car from Eastside Auto Sales for a pre-purchase inspection. They told us that there was no major issue with the car and that everything looked good. However, after two days of driving the car, the engine completely broke down and the only solution is replacing it (which would cost more than what we paid for the car). We then found out that they didn t even do a car diagnostic test (that is, they didn't connect the car to a computer) because there we no lights in the dashboard. All the issues with the engine would have popped up if they had done that. And we would have saved a lot of money and time (we were stranded in the middle of the country without a working car). DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE (especially if you are coming from Eastside Auto Sales).

Wouldnt replace my battery cables without replacing the battery also; not sure whether that was necessary but not beyond possibility from a liability standpoint so was deemed acceptable. Price slightly more than expected but not unacceptable. Time from drop-off to completion was reasonable and very grateful was able to drop it off the evening before with no issues

He yell to me , insult me,Just because I asked why he was charging this much with out even getting the gas for my AC . That was the reason I drove my car to the shop to begin with. For you own safety don t go to this shop. This guy has serios issues. You won t be safe. He was rude even with my wife over the phone.

The location on SE 20th and SE Stark is closed. There was a fire but damaged the building they may reopen. That's the second building to catch fire on that block. And there's only three buildings on that block. Updated on 2/1/24 there back open. Yahoo

I brought my van into Honest 1 on 82nd a couple years ago when it was running poorly. They gave me a full tune-up, which didn t help at all, but they still charged me. We tried a mass airflow sensor after that, which also didn t work. No charge to try that out, but I wish they would have checked their work from before while they had it there again! For the two years following, I went to a handful of other mechanics, telling them it must be something else, and throwing money at other unnecessary fixes. I went back to Tony at Honest 1 last month, and asked him to please take one more look at it, and he refused me service altogether. Told me to leave and that he wouldn t work on my van again, and frankly embarrassing me in front of other customers. So I went to Expert Auto Repair (highly recommend!) and they told me I had a bad plug wire the whole time. Installed by Honest 1. I went back to Tony again to ask for a refund for the shotty work that had resulted in 2 years of wasted time and money for me, and he said no way. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.Service: Auto engine tuning

Was not honest. Bought a 2005 Ford F150 from Eastside Auto Sales whom had the engine replaced by them and rear differential and after I bought it I heard whistle from the front of the engine.Eastside Auto Sales said to bring it to them because it was under warranty. I brought it to them and they yes it's under warranty and that they would take care of it but I would have to pay for the part not for labor because anything that was engine connected was covered through the warranty (intake manifold valve cover gasket).I looked up at the part and it was only $29.99 right down the street at Autozone at the time and no more then $40 anywhere else online/in town. Well I get there a few days later and they called and said it was ready but my bill was $201.When I got there I asked why it was so much after I showed him the parts wasn't that expensive anywhere I looked and his response was "our price is different when we get it from our distributor."Call me crazy but don't shops get a discount and are usually getting it for 30%-40% cheaper to be able to mark up there prices to get it as the price and over local and online prices? A gasket for $201 on top of them?So pretty much they charged me for partial labor and the cost of the gasket.Don't trust anyone with the name "HONEST" in there business title.Service: Engine repair

I am so disgusted by the way that Tony and his associates have treated my car and myself. My 2013 Toyota Rav4 sadly, needed an engine replacement. After having it inspected by the dealership and another auto mechanic, Tony, at Honest one, gave the best price. Also, my father has had work from them and said that they were actually pretty decently honest. So, after the replaced the engine, they also said they had re-charged the air conditioner. Great! Although, it was working just fine when I dropped it off.I drove it for a couple of days and not only did the air conditioner not work, but the car was making a clunking noise every time that I turned the car on or made wide turns. I opened the hood and there were literally missing bolts and rusted parts on the "new/used engine".When I called Tony, he said that it was no problem. I could bring it by whenever and take a look. When I mentioned this to my friend, he was appalled. He didn't even tell you to stop driving the car? Because of that advice, I stopped driving it and brought it back in. I heard back from Tony, who said that the car was fixed, but the air conditioner had to be replaced for $700.I told him that I couldn't afford that right now and why was it working before and not now?I went in to pick it up and Tony and his mechanic co-worker were extremely rude. They said there was no way that they could have broken it in the engine rebuilt, but that if I didn't get it fix, and it affects the engine, it voids any responsibility for them. He said this with a smile.I am so insulted by the way that they handled this whole thing, particularly their lack of "bedside" manor. They were actually ganging up on my and saying that they couldn't explain anything to me because I was too condescending. Now, I am contacting a lawyer. I'm afraid to take it to them to fix, but also afraid that if I take it somewhere else, they will say that they do not hold any liability for the engine.Services: Engine repair, Air conditioning

This place seems to be a very well run business. They quoted a certain price and met that price quite well. They fixed something on the underside of my vehicle that had been dragging for a while without charge. The one star lost was because I mentioned it needed an oil change but they didn't offer or do that at all. Other than that this business will probably get more of my business.

2015Near my house which is a big plus. Mechanic was knowledgeable about vehicle. Was able to diagnose all issues. The work I required was easy - change belts, flush coolant, change oil & replace oil pan gasket. They did a good job and got it done in good time. I will go there again.Update 2017.I am changing my review. I do not recommend this place. Last time i went there i asked them to replace my window. The car was full of broken glass. I had to clean out the vents in the dash and on the floors. When i called i was told by the owner he uses a service and it was the service workers fault. He did not offer to make amends or clean up the mess. I do not trust the fit and finish of this company.

They deserve negative stars. One of the guys there brought their dog to work in mid 80's temperature. Some kind gentleman went and gave the dog some water but two of them came out and dumped the water out. Kept the dog on a short leash in the sun. Horrible people

My car had a water pump leak and fuel pressure relay out. And it was all covered through warranty, but of course we all know when it comes to warranties they all try to find an excuse to not cover for any parts. Anyways long story short guy name Tony was very patient with me and after a straggle of me trying to get an approval for repairs from the warranty company Tony stepped in and handled it all and it just made felt good to have someone beside you to work with you and understand your situation.Services: Electrical repair, Auto water leak repair

I have gone to them twice now and both times I've had less than pleasant experiences. The customer service is non existent, they're seemingly inconvenienced by your presence or questions, and are unpleasant when addressing anything other than giving them money. I had a diagnostic this last time and took it elsewhere and was told it wasn't as many issues as they had said and was about $500 less than they quoted. Giving two stars instead of one because they did it same day even though it was an appointment so it isn't super impressive. All in all, I don't recommend this location at all.
