I have had three car issues in the last year. I was nervous every time, and I do not know much about cars. Very honest folks there. That is key... Excellent mechanics, reps, everything. I am not just saying this. Please always consider all of the Green Drop garages!!!

I hate having to do any kind of maintenance on my car. Green Drop makes this deeply unpleasant task as pleasant as possible. Very friendly and professional and prompt. I easily booked my appointment online and they sent me a detailed but easily understood breakdown of all the issues with my car for me to approve or decline. They had my car ready for pickup a day later and had vacuumed the interior. Great job

Green Drop literally saved my Christmas!I got a flat tire and needed it resolved before I could continue my roadtrip to a family Christmas. Jack was able to take is in just after business hours. After further inspection, we really needed all 4 tires replaced for safety reasons, and Jack proactively contacted me and made this happen. Even after I had a missing wheel-nut key, Jack went to pick one up from the manufacturer-dealer to finish our service within 2 days(mostly due to parts needing to be shipped, since parts on my car are less-common). The fact that they were able to get us on the road within those 2 days saved our family Christmas, since our car was "Santa's Sleigh" this year.Throughout, Jack was both a proactive communicator and problem-solver. I really wish I wasn't from another market, otherwise I'd have Green Drop take car of all of my car needs.

Two years ago go, asked Greendrop for a tune up on my toyota 4 runner, after getting it back from them, the motor seized up and was a total loss.I can't conclusively say it was due to Green Drop's work, but they were the last people to have worked on it.

I would highly recommend not going here. I dropped my car off for an oil change brakes and tires. After their initial inspection, they called me and said my brakes are fine but new brake drums are needed, an alignment, and tires. I was suspicious about their assessment of my brakes, since I knew they were bad, but gave them the benefit of the doubt since I m not a car guy. They said they had the tires are in the shop, and it could get done that day. Quoted $920 for everything with the membership. $21 a month. I said sure, sign me up after they explained the details and savings. But they didn't include the activation cost of the membership in their spiel which was annoying since they proceed to charge me more than they said. After giving them my information for the membership, they called back ten minutes later and asked if I just signed up for another membership again under another name. I said no, they said weird someone named Dwayne signed up with your vin and license plate. I asked for them to look into it and they said they would then never called me back. That same day I got notified by my bank that fraudulent charges are being made. I had to cancel my card.I tried calling back, no answer. The next day, they called me and said after further inspection, I do indeed need new brakes, I also have bad struts and my water hose needs to be replaced and quoted me an additional $1,400. They proceed to tell me my spark plugs and exhaust need to be handled too. But unfortunately they don't have the tires and will need to keep my car another day. I pulled out cash, showed up unannounced demanded my car back and just paid for the oil change as it was the only thing they did.I took my car to two different mechanics and both said water hose, alignment, brake drums, struts, exhaust and spark plugs were all fine. I printed out Green Drops quote and the pictures they took and one mechanic said the struts they had in the quote weren't even the same struts on my car! 1,000% do not go here! You will pay for it if you do. I went to Leschawb and got Tires, Brakes Rotors for $800. ABA Auto in Hillsboro, deep, but highly recommended was the other shop that looked at my car.

Quoted me $150 to remove four tires just to remove them, nothing else. Actually laughable. Don t go somewhere that charges $150 for a 10 minute jobEdit: in response to the snarky unprofessional reply from the businesses google account manager; I have had work done here, and I am also aware of the management s grime first hand. It is my takeaway from plenty of first hand experience with this company that their target audience is people who don t know any better mechanically so they can charge exuberantly for a subpar service.

I like these guys services, they take pictures of everything they see and get you quotes via text or email. I love being able to see what needs to get done and what to expect. I also want to share an experience I had:I had taken one of my vehicles into Green Drop that has been nothing but a disaster from the start since we got it and it had an oil leak that needed to get fixed. Green Drop took pictures of the leak and got me a quote to fix it which I approved. After I had taken the car home the next day I started the car and the oil pressure light came on, I also noticed that there was oil in the road. I called Green Drop and they took the car back immediately and were able to assist me to properly correct the situation. I have started taking all of my vehicles there because I trust in there work and once again like seeing what needs to get done, not just believing in someones word. They also offer great maintenance services and even have a subscription that is very reasonable. All of this makes me want to take my cars here from now on. Bye bye Jiffy Lube.

It used to be better but they do still get the job done. The last few years, they will forget to do something basic that is in the car care membership, like replace the wipers, change wiper fluid, look at a basic issue I am concerned about. More recently they replaced my brakes that were the least worn down at 4.0mm instead of the ones at 3.5mm when I asked them to replace the old brake pads. A minor thing, especially since the front brakes were the ones replaced and are arguably more important, but it was still bothersome as I'd have preferred to get full usage out of the existing 4.0 mm ones. They would typically take pictures of issues or measurements as well, but have since stopped doing so. These aren't huge issues, but there is always something missed and that simply isn't worth $21 a month and the issues are certainly noticeable compared to 3-5 years ago. I have since ended my membership.

I used to deliver parts to Green Drop so once I bought a car, I made a point to only bring my car to them for service because every single interaction was great. Honest, friendly, transparent service! Green Drop has 100% earned my business.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenanceServices: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Be careful. You will be overcharged. I will never use them again after my experience due to their massively inflated prices (2-3x). Be forewarned.

At this point I just wanted to share my experience here.I had brought our car in for leaking fluids at the end of April. They fixed the issues (6500 for engine reseal + timing and all) in a very timely manner with good communication and everything.A month later I had different issues that I thought may be related to the repair they had done previously. Turns out I was right and they had not put a part back on correctly. It took 2 weeks for them to tell me they need to do some more diagnostics. And I would have to pay if it was a different issue. Than a week later they finally admitted it was at the fault of there shop. They would order parts and get it fixed. No we are a month with out our car and being told it will be at least another week.Definitely can t recommend this shop to anyone at this point. I appreciate them owning there mistakes but this long without a car and bad communication is not great.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Thorough pre-purchase inspection of a used car. Unfortunately they could not tell me where the coolant leak was, I understand they cannot do everything but I told them ahead of time that was of primary concern. Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful and the inspection was highly detailed. I did not buy the car because of a rear main seal leak, always get used cars inspected before buying.

Recently the quality of service has really dropped. After a routine oil change, all inner trim pieces were loose and screws lost. Do not sign up for there monthly maintenance offer. There is no value in it. Disappointing..... Update: no response after writing to the email address in the response below. Have cancelled my membership.

Over-priced, untruthful and poor customer service. Do not go here and definitely do not sign up for the membership. I had my rear brakes and rotors replaced elsewhere the day before bringing the car to GD this week yet on the inspection they noted my rear pads were down to 5mm (impossible!). At a previous inspection they noted brake pads were at 3mm and due to replace immediately (for $388), but I took the car elsewhere and was told they were at 5mm so I got another year out of them and paid $180 to eventually replace them there. Seems like outright lies from Green Drop to me.Prices for their work are well over the same job at other shops, and you do not get better service for that premium. For example, there is no review of the inspection results with me until I call and eventually manage to get someone on the phone. They noted a noise but didn't investigate it or offer any suggestions for next steps. The person at the desk is very curt and unpleasant. When I called to discuss these things the GD employee (presumably the same unpleasant guy from the shop desk) his response was "and what do you want us to do about it?". He offered no explanation or corrective action. I told him I want to cancel my membership and never come back.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

After getting my oil changed, I noticed a lot of oil in my driveway. I took it into Green Drop Moreland to check for a leak and they said other than the expected buildup , they didn t see anything. Next day, my oil and engine light go on. I call to ask what type of oil they used and explained my situation. All the front desk guy had to say was a dismissive comment to make sure we use this expensive type of oil they used when refilling my engine. Not the time to brag about your oil when you might have ruined my engine, buddy.Later that day, I check under the truck myself. Once I took the plates off, I noticed oil had sprayed everywhere and my oil filter came right off after rotating it an inch to the left.I call the front desk guy again saying as a manager, I would want to know in case there s a pattern of this happening. (Replacing engines isn t cheap!) Again, no apology or thank you for bringing this to our attention . Thankfully I was proactive and caught the problem myself but they would have totaled my engine and refused to own up to it based on the poor customer service I received.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

I had read good things online so I was excited to try Green Drop garage. Sure, $80 is a little spendy for an oil change but the website makes Green Drop sound amazing. They check and replace everything in the car, etc. The Unlimited Services membership price is $249 for the first year and I decide it s worth it.It took a couple weeks to get an appointment. They re busy, so they must be good. I thought.Dropped my car off at my appointment time. I mentioned I was interested in getting the Membership and he merely replied, Yeah. I said, I see that headlights are included, that s great because mine are very dim. One bulb was dim and the other was glowing but not shining light. He asked when I needed my car back and I replied No rush, but in a reasonable amount of time. Green Drop Guy responded Takes an hour, maybe an hour and a half. So THREE HOURS LATER I still hadn t heard anything. I called Green Drop and asked if there were difficulties since I had not heard from them. Green Drop Guy says Oh, no difficulties, it s ready. We sent you a text update. Maybe it didn t go through. We ve been having internet issues. Okay Had it been ready for two hours?Green Drop Guy (who never told me his name) on the phone continues, Your battery is leaking some acid and it needs replacing. And the battery terminals need cleaning. There s also a minor oil leak somewhere. We have a special dye we use to find the leak. That s all he says about it. No mention of prices for these issues, doesn t ask if I want them fixed. Yeah, so your car is ready any time. I started the 20 minute walk back to Green Drop. Ten minutes after the phone call I received a text message update on my car, three hours and 15 minutes after I dropped the car off. Interesting that the text went through after I called to ask what was up. The text has a link to follow but now I m halfway to the garage so I ll just hear it from Green Drop personnel. When I arrived, the Green Drop Guy asked if I still wanted to get the Membership. I said No, I wasn t expecting this to take three hours. Yeah, it usually doesn t. But we ve been having internet issues all day. Why didn t you call me on the telephone to tell me my car was ready? Green Drop Guy #2 pointed at their cordless phones in their bases and chimed in Our phones are internet! We ve been having to use our cell phones! Both guys hold up their cell phones.Green Drop s main business phone is internet only? That seems odd. So no customers have been able to call your business all day? And Green Drop can t contact their customers all day? It s after 2:30pm and that seems bad for business. It s also interesting because when I called on my telephone the Green Drop Guy answered right away. And why not call me using the cell phones instead of parading them in front of me as proof their store phone is down? This seems like basic critical thinking. So Green Drop Guy turns his laptop around to show me what needs service. Battery, terminals, cables, oil leak dye. Total would be an additional $333.00 total if I wanted those services. On the plus side, there was zero pressure to upsell me on these services because the Green Drop Guy never mentioned the prices to me on the phone. If I had been told these issues and prices hours earlier when my car was done I would have told them to go ahead and do the repairs, but they didn t tell me.Green Drop Guy gets me my keys and I ask Oh, were you able to get the headlights replaced? The website indicates those are included. Oh, no, we only replace those if they re completely burned out. He might have mentioned that when I asked them to replace the headlights three-plus hours ago. Within 48 hours the glowing bulb popped and burned out.Oil change cost: $80Services Green Drop lost out on $582 ($333 in repairs and $249 for membership) and any recommendations from me.Service: Oil change

JUST DONT. This is the worst shop. They have awful customer service, are incredibly hard to get a hold of, didn t test drive my car after fixing my power steering. Took it to a dealership, turns out greendrop installed a broken part. Told them they put in a bad part and Greendrop kept our car for another 5 days and were never able to replicate the issues and didn t do any work. ummmmm excuse me, my car has not had power steering in almost a year and they know it and have been giving me a run around this whole time. Anyway, I pick up my car and it magically has power steering. I m happy I can turn the wheel, but they took no responsibility and gaslight me about my car.

DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE. Believe what the other customers are writing. The local home boy does good emails from Farhad are a farce, don t get lured into thinking his words have anything to do with a reputable company. I was a member for almost 4 years and the last few repairs things started to take longer and bizarre excuses for why my car wasn t ready or why the parts weren't ordered by them. Final straw was getting tired of the less professional communications and dismissive attitude of manager. So I quit and when I had car issues a few months later, turns out the $1880 I paid for them to remove and replace EGR valve and seat heater switch while they kept my car for 3 days was actually for nothing! The new shop took photos of the used EGR valve that Green Drop installed in my car which needed to be replaced. Green Drop gave some sham reason why they did what ey did but never fessed up that they are actually crooks.DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!I have kept all my information, written records, and notes on conversations with them. There are better, honest mechanics on town, find them.Service: Engine repair

Sharing on behalf of my mother Geri Miller who I do not appreciate being taken advantage of one bit. "I brought my car in for a diagnostic test for a missing cylinder 4 misfire, Green Drop's rate is $150/hr. After a couple of days, I received a text stating what they had done thus far; they confirmed the cylinder 4 misfire, checked the gap, ran compression tests, and told me cylinder 4 was getting proper compression, they also checked my injector, and recommended replacing my spark plugs which I okayed at that time. At this point, they wanted another hour of diagnostics to remove my valve cover, to check valves and cams, and diagnostic fees at this point were $300. I called and explained that I couldn't continue to pay $150 an hour, diagnostic fees were going to be so high, I wouldn't be able to afford to fix the car. I was told we were still at the $300 mark and he felt he could have an answer for me by days end. This was Saturday. That was the last I heard from anyone UNTIL I was FINALLY able to get someone to answer the phone on Tuesday, I was told my tech had been out sick for two days, and that nothing had been done on my car. I asked why someone hadn't called me to let me know this and was told it wasn't my business that the tech was out. He asked what I wanted to do, and I said I wanted the work done that was supposed to be done on Saturday. He asked if I wanted the spark plugs replaced, which I told him I had already given the okay on. I heard nothing the next day either so I assume the teach was still out sick. My car had been there for 6 days at this point, in speaking with some friends, they felt I was being taken advantage of and not being treated right. They recommended that I call the dealer to see if this all sounded right, because both my friends (and the dealer when I called them) pointed out several reasons why they wouldn't need to check things like the valve cover if I was getting proper compression like they said. I spoke to the service manager at Weston Pontiac and he felt I was indeed being taken advantage of. He said that they RARELY have to take two hours to diagnose and he felt confident he could have an answer for me within an hour. So after several days of dealing with Green Drop, I finally decided to pick up my car and take it elsewhere. When I arrived to pick up my car, they again showed no effort to rectify the issue, no diagnosis, and felt fine sending me on my way with horrible customer service, and my money unfortunately lining their pockets. Never replacing my spark plugs, by the way. They did however go on to say it was most likely coming from my computer or my engine. When I took my car to the dealer, I had a call back within 45 minutes and his tech knew what was wrong just by driving it a bit. Coil cover was the issue. Why was my car here for a week without a definitive answer? What kind of mechanic do they have that can't figure this out in a week? My car spent more time in the parking lot then in the garage. I would not recommend Green Drop for your automotive needs, the level of customer service here needs to improve drastically. They took advantage of me, and charged me $300 for nothing. I'm also sure when they read this review they will try to clean it up as I have seen them do in other reviews. I will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau as well.

I started using Green Drop, Moreland location 6 years ago. I have lived out of state for a couple years and when I returned, I signed up for the Maintenance membership. They have replaced lights and also windshield wipers at no charge with the membership. Recently, I needed tires and a major gasket replaced. This last visit was going to be expensive no matter where I had it done. Joe and James helped me set up the appointment and arranged for the after hours drop off. Their courtesy and communication was stellar and I feel they took the time to identify and complete the work that was necessary. I was informed of another gasket issue I may have but it was not as time sensitive. I would recommend Green Drop to anyone who is not mechanically inclined but cares about the maintenance of their Not So New vehicle (like mine).Services: Tires, Engine repair, Oil change

Summary: They will try to charge you more than double what any other shop will. They will take advantage of you if you don t know much about cars.I originally went to Green Drop because my car was making a lot of noise. They told me the day I brought it in what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. I brought it back a couple days later to get the problem fixed. They told me it would likely be done before the end of the day. It was done two days later. While they were fixing the original problem, they found a code from the engine light telling them cylinder 4 was misfiring. I asked how much it would cost to fix that, and they told me before they could say anything they would need to run a $160 diagnostic test. It seemed steep, but because I knew the problem could be serious I didn t want to drive it to another shop. I told them to go ahead and run their test. It took them five days to do it. Then, they come back and tell me it is my spark plugs and ignition coils, and that it would be an additional $947 to make the repair. That s over a thousand dollars for the diagnosis and repair for a simple spark plug/ignition coil repair on a 2011 prius. They wanted to charge me $572.56 for 4 ignition coils and $94.60 for 4 spark plugs, in addition to $280 for labor. 4 OEM ignition coils from almost any other shop add up to anywhere between $300-400. Spark plugs are $10. They claimed the job would take two hours, accounting for the $280 for labor, but when I called around and looked online, I discovered the job should take only an hour even with a novice mechanic. I looked at the numbers for my exact car. When I asked why they were charging me twice what other shops would for parts and labor, they told me, We have bills to pay and a shop to run. So do the other shops offering these parts and services for half the price. I took my car to another shop. They were able to look at my spark plugs within 15 minutes of my arriving (for free), compared to Green Drop s $160 and 5 day wait. They also had the job done in less than an hour (remember Green Drop tried to sell it for 2 hours) and charged me less than half what Green Drop tried to. I never believed the stereotype that car shops will take advantage of you if it looks like you don t know anything about cars. Green Drop proved me wrong. Do not go to this shop if you don t have someone with you who knows about cars. They will take everything they can.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I have been extremely happy with my service from this shop.I see that there are a few reviews claiming they will take advantage of you don't know much about cars and I can definitely attest that this has not been my experience. I know next to nothing about the mechanics of cars, I had an issue of my car making a strange sound upon acceleration and Joey explained the issue to me and also made sure I knew it wasn't a safety issue or something that needed to be urgently addressed, also that there was a chance the manufacturers recommended service could cause me to need a more expensive repair. I opted to have the work done anyway and when I took my car in for that work to be done along with an oil change and tires rotated I was called and informed my car didn't seem to be making the sound so they didn't feel the work needed to be done. They easily could have claimed they did the work and charged me for it as it was true the noise was no longer happening and they would have gotten away with it too because it's now been four months and I've never heard the sound again. I am so thankful for the Moreland location of Green Drop Garage and I highly recommend them. I have experienced ethical business practices and the only thing that has ever been any sort of bothersome is wait times or inaccurate estimate of when my vehicle will be ready. I think it's possible their business grew a bit faster than they had anticipated and that has understandably left them a bit short handed for the time being. If anything this speaks highly of their service and I will continue to recommend them to my friends, family, coworkers.Thank you so much Green Drop. I value the work you have done for me.

These are my guys. I have always felt welcomed and never talked down to about car matters, I feel comfortable asking questions and I know they care about the work and the community. The membership option has been a lifesaver for my ADHD brain, keeping me on track for routine maintenance and knowing I have people to call on in emergencies

I wish I could give 0 stars. Brought my new to me 2008 Subaru in for a spark plug change. They did change the plugs, but when I brought it into the certified Subaru mechanic for a Comprehensive Inspection, they found that the plugs were not tightened down. Looks like no permanent damage occured, but it could have been catastrophic. I would not recommend this garage to my worst enemy.

Very helpful staff that s always taken care of us. It s easy to schedule appointments and they ve helped me out when I needed work done quickly. I really appreciate that they give honest quotes for the work that needs to be done without any bs. They know their stuff and don t talk down to their customers. I have been using Green Drop Garage for several years and enrolled in the monthly service plan to have my oil change as well as have any issues looked at with no costs outside of a no cost membership fee. The membership fee costs less than if you went somewhere else and they do a much better job then anywhere else I have been. If things take longer than expected they will set you up with a ride. I have always been happy with them and recommend anyone to use their services. Couldn't be happier with Green Drop Garage. They can fix any issue with my vehicle and will not try to up charge or play games about doing it.
