This business is more than a Tire Repair shop. They have also helped us with oil changes and ignition coils! The owner is polite and professional and they seem to always get us in and out the same day! We appreciate their work and great prices. :)

Had a low tire pressure sensor, filled it up and brought my car in to patch the hole in my tire. They told me that they couldn't find a hole in it and the tire was fine. The next day when I get in there's a low tire pressure sensor light again and I could literally hear the air escaping from my tire. So now I still have a hole.in my tire that needs patching but instead of having it taken care of already I have to wast my time to go to a tire shop again because there's clearly a hole in it. I'll be going to a different shop this time.

Paid Gateway a visit for the second time since moving from Wisconsin 3 months ago. I've had bad luck driving over screws. Both times they've fixed my tire up quickly and with kindness. When I get new tires in about a month, I'll be purchasing them here. They're honest and straight to the point but don't push a sale on you. I can't recommend them enough!

Paul helped me get a used tire on my car for a better price than anyone else. He was kind and quick and didn't even judge my messiness. I will definitely be coming back here - Highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing! We were en route on the Hood to Coast relay race and got a nail in our tire. John patched the tires in 6 minutes!!! And had us on our way & back to our next race stop. We are SO Grateful!!! Excellent!

I have been going to Paul and the crew for years. They are fast, fair, honest, hardworking, completely transparent, and affordable. I have had a series of Volvos with more than their fair share of problems and have had Everything successfully maintained and fixed here.Solid!

Poor service I would not bring your car here,if you do this was my experience my airbag light was on he was confuse next thing I leave now my radio would ot come on paul claim he had no time to fix.paul is the worst mechanic I've ever met. Paul repair my brakes which squeaks I explain to paul about my front brakes he ignore me not a good place if you want your car fix.

We got a flat tire on our way out of Portland, heading home to Boise. It was later in the evening, but luckily, Gateway was still open. They got me in for a tire change right before closing. Everyone at the shop was courteous and helpful, the tire was changed very quickly, the price was great, and I'm pretty sure they popped my dented rear fender back into place! I didn't noticed the fender until a couple of days later, and I don't know who else would've done that. So, that was a welcome bonus for sure.Highly recommended!

Very professional and great experience. I was given constant updates as they were working on my vehicle. When it was taking longer than normal, they let me know why. When they finished one job, they let me know they were starting on the next.I also saw how they interacted with other customers. Taking time to explain what work was being done and how long it would take. It was a nice moment when I saw them assisting an older couple and offering them a ride home after informing them it would be several hours before they could complete the work on their vehicle.I'll certainly return and recommend them to others.

With so many different tire shops in the PDX area I would pay triple the amount to go elsewhere. This place is a dump.

I'm not normally one to post a review but I had a really great experience at Gateway Tire World. They were able to get the exact pair of tires I needed and put them on my car in less than two hours. I also really appreciated that they didn't treat me as though I knew nothing about cars just because I am a woman. Very quick and professional!

I've had Paul and the crew work on three of our cars. Repairs are always done right and completed in a timely manner. Communication is very clear, and their prices are very fair. When you drive an older car, it's nice to have the peace of mind that you have a good honest mechanic in your corner.

Five HUGE stars for this place!!!!!! If you want excellent customer care and quality mechanic, ask for Paul. He fixed my daughter's Honda Civic and now it runs great! He has character, honest, and went out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction. Highly recommend this place!!

I asked them to do brakes, and they gave me an honest assessment of the condition of front and rear pads, and replaced for a very reasonable price. They were able to get started right away. I like this location for being close to Lloyd district so I could drop off and get to work. Despite being a tire store, they are capable of many categories of repair.

Great service Paul was able to do alignment on multiple trucks for me that I had done elsewhere first closer to my home in Gresham. Paul fixed their mistakes and still gave me a great rate. Also sent my in-laws there and they walked away very happy with the deal they got on tires. Absolutely worth it to drive to Gateway Tire World and get honest work done on your car!

Been going to this shop for over a year now for alignment and tires for my car. I recently needed a set of tires for my daily TDI. Owner-- Paul, recommended the most appropriate tire on a budget and saved me some money. Great group of people to ask for advice regarding tires and alignment, thank you so much.

It's NOT OK to try to sell expired tires to the public. This is a SAFETY HAZARD.The place isn't a total slum. It's why I decided to give them a visit. They do seem to be organized compared to other shops where absolute squalor usually dominates the space. I see lots of good reviews here, and that's great, I'm sure folks have had decent experiences here. But...I understand some reviews aren't totally fair. But I gave one star. I think it's fair. Why? Because SAFETY, that's why. The pair of tires I was inquiring about were severely expired with a DOT code of 3408. The DOT code is the manufacturing date. 3408 means the 34th week of 2008. The rubber was dry, brittle, splitting and cracked. Hardly safe. They had no qualms about sending me down the road like this. And to top it off, they wouldn't go below $40 a tire which tells me they're capitalistic tendencies ran strong.Personally, I'd steer clear. But if you MUST come here, or to any used tire shop, check the DOT code! It's recommended to get a tire 6 years old or newer.Thanks for reading!

Expensive but he get the job done he not only have this shop he have another shop where he could do a lot of mechanic things to your car and he's very good sometimes it's a long wait but I really appreciate him

Found this place in 2014, totally great and honest guy! I have sent a couple coworkers here, they all said the same thing- great guy and trustworthy! Paul is honest and I would not hesitate to come here!

Went in last minute for a tire patch which was accomplished and appreciated. Took forever, no one was masked even in our presence, so waited outside but there was a rat running around in the parking lot. Came back in, still no mask with a blaring tv. Plus it was the most expensive tire patch I have ever paid for and the tech did not even put the paraphernalia away that is with the spare tire.

I had some serious issues with my brakes for a few days. This place was recommended and I can honestly say I was impressed, wonderful people, fantastic service. Love the fact that I can finally break without fear! Definitely recommending to others.

Today at 10:55am, my alternator died in the middle of Grand Ave, right across the street from Gateway Tire World. Paul and another technician went out into the middle of traffic to charge my car enough to move it out of the middle of the road. They then did diagnostics and confirmed it was a dead alternator, quoted me $260 For parts and labor and put a new alternator in my car in less than 2 hours.I went online to look up fair market value quotes for a replacement alternator and this is what I found:"The average cost for a Mazda Protege Alternator Replacement is between $262 and $400. Labor costs are estimated between $88 and $111 while parts are priced between $174 and $289. Estimate does not include taxes and fees."I feel very lucky that my car died where it did and that I was able to get superior service at a great price with Gateway Tire World! Thank you guys so much! You made a rough morning turn into a blessing.
