They always take great care of my SAABs, Randy and the whole staff are very passionate about these cars and it shows!Their prices are also very good, comparable to an independent shop but with OEM quality.

Great Place to buy a vehicle. Long time German car owner and Saab Admirer. Now a proud owner. The entire team at Garry Small was a pleasure to do business with. In the best way imaginable, it is not your typical dealership experience at all (coming from someone with over a decade in the car business). The store is a love letter to a great brand and truly has a family-owned environment.

Garry Small Saab did fantastic job on getting my son's 2001 Saab 9-5 Aero road trip worthy. They even recommended a Saab service in our destination city.

Nearly 1 year since I purchased my 04 Lexus GX470 from Garry. Price was right even though it needed some deferred maintenance which I've done myself over the year. I keep my eye on these cars and firmly believe the value has increased. Every time I drive the car, I am amazed at what a great vehicle it is! Hard to believe that it has over 225,000 miles. Garry treated me fairly and even replaced the timing belt and water pump at our agreed upon price. I flew in from Spokane and was picked up by Garry's son in law. I enjoyed a personal tour of the dealership, the "car show" .... Garry's treasured cars and his son in law's custom Camaro rod. I appreciated seeing Garry's machine shop too.I've owned over 80 vehicles in my lifetime. Dealers in Spokane are the worst. From my experience, I'd say that Garry Small Saab is a gem. I hope you Portlandia people appreciate them as I do.

My SAAB 9-5 had the filler neck damaged by a Gas Station. They had the damage that occurred on their cameras so paid for the repair. I didn't have to ponder too long on which Dealer or Shop I wanted to use for the repair. I contacted Garry Small SAAB and spoke to Randy Small (Service Advisor). He helped me with the insurance claim paperwork and ordered the parts without having to look at the vehicle. I took the car in for the repair and they got the job done during the day. I picked up my car after work and everything was perfect. The new filler neck installed, looked great, and was secure. The old one always was a little loose. They showed me the old parts and it looked like a difficult repair with all the evap hoses to deal with and all that had to come apart. There was no evidence the car had been worked on except it was fixed, meaning the Technician obviously had a lot of pride in his work. That is so difficult to find these days. They said my car needs some other repairs done but I haven't received an estimate yet. Anyway, these Folks are all SAAB and have the most experience in the area, or Northwest, for that matter. Thanks for getting my car in quickly and doing such fine work. I will be back.

I've been a customer at Gary Small Saab for many, many years. I bought a used car in the late 1990's, a 1988 Volvo 240DL from them and have had it maintained and parts replaced since then by them. It started with 110,000 miles, now it has over 400,000 miles! Their service is excellent and the mechanic I've worked with over the years really knows his stuff! The parts are high quality, whether original or aftermarket, and the work very well done. They are top notch, so do charge accordingly, but you get what you pay for, and so if you want quality work and parts, then I highly recommend them!

I am so impressed and grateful for the detailed care and many repairs made on my 2008 Saab 9-5 ... which I was sure was unrepairable. Garry Small Saab has another customer for life! Thank you!!

Parts Dept: Joe is a ROCK STAR! I have called the Parts Dept a few times trying to get advice on DIY projects (brakes, headlight bulb replacement, air filter, decals), and Joe has ALWAYS provided honest, thorough and good information. You can tell that he's not trying to upsell or make a sale, but to help Saab owners take care of their babies.Service Dept: I went in for an oil change despite the cost being about $25 more than other shops because I wanted an experienced technician to inspect my car (2000 9-3). I rarely get it serviced, so as it ages, I am more worried about what can go wrong. No upsell. I asked about various issues that previous shops have identified, but they explained that they were not a problem that they notuiced in the inspection. They also went into detail as to why and when these issues occur, which was helpful. I think they recognize customers are cost-conscious and that loyal customers are better for the business in the long-run. My next visit hopefully won't be until my 90K check (knock on wood).

When I take my vehicle into a mechanic, sometimes there is a modicum of defeat; I am still deficient in being "the master of my own stuff" But there comes a time when the neighbors look at you dirtily from behind their windows, roused from their morning domestic bliss by your rattling engine as you peel out, late for work as usual. Garry Small and especially Randy in the service department were able to diagnose and then, more importantly, explain to an amateur(myself) what was going on, what it took to fix, and gave me options to keep in line with my budget. If you have a classic 900 and you're stumped, you can trust that at Garry Small, the service you pay for comes from people who know these cars and like to see them on the road. And that is worth driving your wife's KIA for as long as they need to keep the car. Thanks again!

I was very happy to find a full featured Saab exclusive dealership still out there. They had my heater hose while every parts store was empty handed. Will definitely do business in the future!

After having my 2010 Saab 9-3 for six hours, Gary Small Saab was unable to diagnose an issue resulting from their own work on a previous visit. Unsatisfied, I brought my car to another shop (Saab specialists close to Portland) who readily identified the problem. I immediately called Gary Small Saab (where I was directed to the voicemail of Randy Small) hopeful that they would offer to resolve the problem caused by their own work. After not hearing back for some time, I went ahead and authorized the 2nd shop to do the work. Randy Small finally returned my call, six hours after I left a message. Bottom line, the other shop was able to identify the issue, repair, and return my car in less time than it took Randy Small to return my phone call.

To: Gary SmallI wanted to let you know the excellent job that Ashely In your service department did for me last week. I live in Corvallis and had brought my car in for an oil change the day before I was to fly out on a trip. My engine service light was lit and I was informed of a few issues that needed attention. Ashley took me to my hotel, called me during the following week with an update and made arrangements to come in on the following Sunday to deliver my key. She really extended herself to meet my schedule. I appreciated her personal service. She refused a tip, saying that it was her job. Good on Ashley. Thanks for the service. I hope Saab delivers new and great cars to you soon.Pat Lampton

I have a 2000 Saab 9.5 wagon and it generally has gone to Gary Small for repairs since it was new. I have only had one minor complaint, not bad for 14 years, and they generally have done excellent and timely work. I would recommend them to any Saab owner.

Took my car in for a recall campaign, and car got stolen due to their lack of security. They didn't offer me any form of compensation not even a rental car. My car was totaled from the damages. Their lack of accountability, communication, and service has been appalling. If I could give them zero stars I would.

They've got the best quality on 82nd and it's not strictly Saab. Ask for Jim, he's quick and thoughtful, and he makes a deal that leaves everyone satisfied.

The crew at Garry Small Saab took care of the issues I created in my attempt to program a spare key for my Saab without the proper equipment. I somehow disabled the ignition and door lock functions. So glad they were there to save the day.
