I am so happy with the service from European AutoWorks! Modi was excellent to work with. My Q5 had a few "quirks" I wanted checked out. He was upfront about costs. His crew found the same issues the dealership pointed out to me back a few months ago, but it was a relief to get them taken care of for a fraction of the dealership prices. My car drives SO much better! Thank you EAW, I'll be bringing the Boxster in after the holidays!

I usually do my own work but got burnt out of working on the Audi 2.7T. I had this shop replace my water pump, timing belt, tensioner, idlers and cam seals. Fred did fantastic work. They did the work quickly and used quality components (continental belt). I will use them in the future if I need work done on my Allroad!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Fred is an excellent mechanic. Fast, friendly and well priced. He gave me a lot of options when I d came to fixing my cars issues- which is certainly rare for my Audi.If you have an European car, he knows it inside and out. Wouldn t trust anyone else!Thanks again Fred.

We took our VW Passat here for what we thought was a radiator issue and ended up being a line of things wrong with the car. Modi and the team did a fantastic job, he was upfront and honest throughout the entire process. Even with all the extra steps they got the car back with quickness. I would highly recommend, thank you!

I had an amazing experience with Joe and his assistant in the office. I had to cancel due to Covid and he was genuinely concerned if he could help me. I was impressed by the compassion and interest he took asking after my health. He took care of my car in a couple of days. He was fair in pricing while educating me. I am thankful to find him and the shop. Since my last mechanic did not follow though on services for my car. I was surprised how much he wanted to help me. His prices are fair and amazing customer service which is hard to find in todays society, So give him a chance and check him out. He is my new mechanic for my BMW. Honestly my first time coming here wasn t terrible but i didn t walk out happy either. I took my Volkswagen in to get it check for an electrical issue causing my car not to start and they asked me how much I d be willing to spend. I without thinking responded 1K, he asked me is he wanted to call me if it goes over that amount & I told him no, could you call me when you figure out the issue and give me a estimate on how much it ll be to repair and he said okay "no problem". Couple days later I get a call saying my cars all fixed and I owe $863 .They replaced my ignition cables, and my coils and also filled up my engine with fluids like oil etc.they unfortunately backed me into a corner, instead of clarifying first if I wanted them to proceed with fixing my car. Probably won t be coming back just for that reason, wish they communicated better because they just lost a customer already and probably will continue if not fixed in my opinion.Service: Electrical

They began neing my go to mechanic because of the great work they did for me 2yra ago with my 05 A4, so I returned with my 2016 VW Tiguan and picked it up on Tuesday the 28th and they did great work with timing chain, thanks guys for back to back great prices and service and in a timely manner, thanks.

GO HERE IF YOU HAVE AN AUDI. Fred is one of the nicest, most honest mechanics I've ever met. I'm really embarrassed to admit I didn't change the oil in my Audi Q5 & ended up blowing up my engine. I was told by everyone that it would be $4-6k to fix & take a month's. Fred fixed it in a few weeks & was significantly less. I honestly don't want to say what he charged because I don't want to encourage people to go & lowball him. Just trust that he is honest & has a good heart & there is no one more experienced in Portland to work on your car. Whatever he charges you is well deserved. He is an EXPERT in Audi & BMW engines. He is committed to his craft & so so so good. I'm so thankful.

They really know about Cars and especially European.I was hesitant to buy a BMW at first because the repair bills are so high, I am very glad I found these guys.They really focus on getting the Job done and it s a lot less expensive than compared to the dealer, but same knowledge! Fred worked in Germany for a couple of years and really knows about these Cars!

Shout out to Modi!Very professional. Called around shops about three months ago for a leak that I assumed was from my oil pan gasket and a bad wheel bearing for my BMW 2009 M3. Modi did not hesitate to give me a decent estimate over the phone but still wanted to diagnose the vehicle for quality assurance. After the diagnostics, he notified me that it was not my oil pan gasket but it was my oil filter housing gasket that was causing the leak. He took my car in on Tuesday and got it done by Friday evening (less than a weeks time) to repair and replace oil filter housing, wheel bearings and waterpump. When I say "Very professional" I absolutely mean it.Throughout the week he would send me updates and great quality videos in details of what's happening and where the issues are occurring. To me, that's extremely important. Keeping in touch with your clients while work is being done is crucial. Most shops just fix things and don't tell you while they add more hours and more work you pay for. Needless to say, if your looking for a euro mechanic for bmwsModi and his crew at European autoworks do an amazing job.Keep up the great work Modi!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection

This guy misdiagnosed my Audi Q7. I had a bad cable coming off from Alternator. I already had replaced an Alternator and this shop told me it was a bad new altarnor. I replaced it for a different one again and it didn't solve the problem. Replaced the cable, and all problems went away

Fred is as honest as they come and better yet, he LOVES people and German cars! His knowledge of my particular vehicle gives me great confidence in him, and I m happy to bring him my business. Convenient location and a good value made my experience all the better. I recommend this establishment without thinking twice about it.

I have gone there for a few repairs on a few vehicles. An audi and vw tiguan. My latest repair was my vw tiguan for a timing belt service. Work was done correctly but returned with a stripped oil pan plug. Now let me say that my husband has done out oil changes on my vw since the purchase for 5yrs and we have never has a problem. When he went to check the oil and it was black looking he went to change the oil. For his peace of mind and the head of the bolt was stripped and he could not get the tool in that he had ALWAYS used. We went back to the shop and they blamed my husband for stripping it. Weird. And they HAMMERED the bold off. Hence causing damage to the oil pan that now leaks. This pan now needs to be replaced and they are still causing a blam game. We won't go back. Ps when they 1st returned the vehicle the oil sensor began going of I took it back and apparently it was returned with black and low oil level, pretty much why he wanted to change the oil but could not, accountability depends on who you talk to in this business.Service: General repairs & maintenance

PLEASE GIVE THIS FAMILY ESTABLISHMENT YOUR BUSINESS,THEY ARE AMAZING!This review is long overdue, but better late than never! My family VW station wagon was having horrible trouble and was dying. I brought it to Fred and he and his son worked their magic and brought it back to life. These men are experts at what they do and are patient and generous with their time. They took the time to SHOW me what was happening inside my engine and EXPLAIN exactly what needed to be done. They worked with me on the pricing because I had a limited budget and made me feel like they really cared about my satisfaction. This kind of service and attention to detail is rare these days and will never be found at any dealership. Thank you Fred, she's still running great!Cheers,Bob

This place is great! I have a 2000 Audi A6 that was in dire need of repair. I happened to need my timing belt replaced so it was a good opportunity to tackle the various issues.The cost of parts and labor was comparable to what I have researched, in fact a little less than what I was expecting to pay. In the end, with the cost of the extra repairs, they charged me a very reasonable price at just a little over $1,700, they even gave me a discount of $340!These guys have a ton of experience with European autos, particularly German vehicles. I highly recommend these guys!

Fred! I can't express how grateful I am for the service you have provided me!! If i could rate the quality and passion of it I would rate a ton more stars! I came into the shop hoping for a miracle that someone would make my Audi Q7 quattro run like new and Fred got to work, investigated the problem using a system like any Audi dealership would use, and communicated in great details of the issues! He dismantles the engine cleared out all of the oil leakage that was making my car idle like crazy and even replaced a few parts! He is highly skilled and what he does and his passion for caring for European cars (which we all know can be a challenge) far exceeds 5 star quality! It is hard to find someone like Fred! Highly recommend!

Had good luck to run into Modi who helped diagnose the exact issues needed in my bmw. He did not try to oversell me anything and even showed me issues walking through the car.I will come back here for future repairs

Hands down best Auto shop in town. Oil was leaking out of my car called the shop spoke to Modi brought my car in the following week. Even tho they had to order a part to fix the car they still got in done in a short time. I m very very pleased with this service will definitely be coming back for any more car issues. I called some of the top euro shops in Portland and after speaking with Fred I knew it was the right place to go to.I own a tuned 2009 c63amg. I came into EAW and showed Fred that I needed my valve cover gasket replaced on both sides. Fred reassured me that he would give me a fair price and would get the work done by the next day.He worked fast and communicated properly. Not only that but he topped off my fluids to get me ready for my long trip. He has all the right tools you need to get your car fixed, tuned or not tuned, you can actually sit down and have a full convo about your car and get full reassurance that he is taking care it.

Very nice people, exceptionally fair pricing. Helped me replace radiator mounting plate. Even though he didn't have to, he replaced seals for me so coolant wouldn't leak. 100% would recommend!

The best and most affordable BMW mechanic in Portland is my opinion. Fred is super friendly and has a lot of knowledge on BMW. If your having trouble finding someone to work on your car, look no further, European Auto Works is the way to go.
