I have been taking my 2007 Prius to this Prius Genius for a couple years now. He s replaced my hybrid batter, water pump, installed a light-bar and more. My Prius Princess is getting 47.1 to the gallon in this warmer weather. Installed a lift kit, recently installed a sweet stereo so we can use hands free and finally listen to music from our phones without static on our long road trips! Huy is the most honest, humble, genuine small business owner/auto body shop owner you will ever come across. One reason I decided not to get rid of my Prius was knowing I have someone I can count on to be there if something happens (really hard to come by ). Huy even has a loaner car you can use if your car is getting worked on. Wouldn t take my Prius to anyone else.i drive 45 minuets each way and don t mind it one bit for an honest knowledgeable mechanic.

I went to Envirocars based on reviews. I met Huy the owner/mechanic and instantly felt his passion for the Prius. His knowledge and honesty set himself apart from all other used car dealerships. This is not a flip-a-car and never come back again dealership. He is a master mechanic that specializes in Hybrids. I already bought a Gen 3 Prius from Huy and I plan to come back for all services and maintenance for this car. Thank you Envirocars for the best possible experience in buying my used Prius.

I wanted to hate it, I had so many judgements, mostly stemming from my grandfathers's extensive experience with car lots on 82nd in the 90s and 00s. I only went to look but Huy was too charming, I really didn't intend on buying this car but I love it. If you just want to buy a car maybe look some place else, if you want to buy a Prius you'd be a fool to go anywhere else. Where else in town can you find a mechanic that doesn't just work on one make but specifically on make and model? These guys are pro.

I recently purchased a 2005 Prius from Huy. I am absolutely 100% happy with the purchase. He is an honest guy who stands by his word. I had a issue with the battery a month or so after I got my car. Huy honored the 6 month warranty. Replaced the battery within a couple of days of me calling about it, and got me back on the road with no hassle. I will definitely be returning to him in the future for any maintenance required.The manager is a sassy 15lb Shiba. She s running a tight ship over there.

I bought a Prius 2010 from Envirocars and Huy (the owner) has been such an excellent dude. He's very knowledgeable on the cars (I'm a big 3rd gen Prius fan - it's great to find a Pirus enthusiast who's an expert + extremely knowledgeable on the Prius as well). He's also been taking care of all my maintenaces. If you need a Prius specialist or a looking for a Prius, then look no further. Again, I can't emphasis enough how great he is and how well he knows these cars. Great prices on maintnance/mechanic work as well!

I wanted to say Huy was easy to work with and got me a affordable and reliable Prius since my new commuting has put a strain on being able to afford filling up my F150 all the time.Now with that said, just for anyone reading this and thinking of coming here. These cars are not the same ones you will get when going to a big dealership where all they do is detail the car, fix some paint scrapes and slap a overpriced sticker on it then throw it out on the lot. The beauty of these cars at EnviroCars is that all the mechanical is inspected, fixed and made sure its reliable for everyday use with an awesome warranty that Huy provides on all his vehicles. Now, you may have to spend a weekend vacuuming and shampooing your new car or pay to have a detailer do it but in the long run, you know you're getting a reliable and working car for the road.

I bought a used 2008 Prius from Huy in 2020 with 186k miles on it. Within 2 weeks of buying it all of the lights on the dashboard were blinking and the car shut off. I had a warranty which stated that he would fix 100% of issues for 100% of the cost within X amount of time. In that amount of time I brought the car in for 2 or three major fixes within the engine, such as replacing all of the intake springs and valve (all of which were complete surprises to me. I'd seen the car fax and taken it into another shop to see what fixes it might need before buying). He would fix something and then that same check engine light would turn on within one week- one month. It was incredibly frustrating because it seemed he was replacing the shot parts with parts equally as shot. Finally, he ended up putting in a rebuilt engine when I'd only driven the car 4k miles.I drove the car very little, only when coming home from college for breaks, but had to get it towed and spend hundreds of dollars on fixing various parts in the engine multiple times. The main issue was a misfire in cylinder 1, a cracked ignition coil, and bad fuel injector and coil, eventually a failed three way valve, etc (all very expensive things). I drove it so little that I just surrendered to having the check engine light on (even with Huy's rebuilt engine that he told me would fix all of these problems) until I got out of school and could fix it "for good". And just an addition-- when I was away at school I had a family member drive it once a week as recommended to keep the battery alive and well.At 201K a rod shot through my engine block and unless I replaced the engine the car was done. In 3 years I drove it 15k miles, which is just a little over the amount an average driver in Oregon puts on in 1 year. Choosing to sell it to the wrecking yard, I ended up getting very little for the car because the Prius battery was the ORIGINAL one (Huy had told me when I was first looking at the car that there was a new Prius battery in there), the catalytic converter was off brand, and of course the engine was destroyed. This was incredibly disappointing. As a student I really needed that money.I don't feel Huy was honest with me about the state of the car when I bought it, and I definitely don't feel like he held up his end of the bargain on the warranty. As I said, his replacement parts never failed to fail which was not only an inconvenience to not have a car whenever it was getting "fixed" but made me waste a lot of money. Most of all it was awful to feel like my car was unsafe. I'm super frustrated by this whole experience and would absolutely not recommend Envirocars to anyone (especially a young person who might be easy to take advantage of.)

I am the proud owner of a 2nd gen Prius I bought at Envirocars, LLC.Before I stopped in to this dealership and repair center, I had spent a month shopping around various car lots and services like CarGurus, but overall I really didn't see anything I liked. I figured I would have to settle for something disappointing.I was actually at a different dealership, about to buy a 2005 1st gen Prius that I was feeling unsure about. At the last second I decided to run up and take a look at the inventory at Envirocars, LLC, mostly because I liked the name.When I took a look around I saw a lot of nice cars at reasonable prices. I thought to myself I wish I could try them all for a test drive. Huy the owner was there and we talked extensively about the various cars and he answered all my questions. It became clear that this is a dealership that genuinely cares about what they sell. Huy is very knowledgable about Lexus and Toyota hybrids, which I believe are the only types of cars he deals and repairs. Because he knows so much about these cars he can answer any questions from a nervous-nelly like myself who knows little about cars and was nervous to trust any used car salesperson after I had spent time at other dealerships and private sellers in my quest for a good hybrid. But let's not talk about all the shady dealerships and sellers, let's talk about Huy at Envirocars, LLC. With him, I felt confident I was going to get a good car and not get ripped off, and I was right. Huy seems like the kind of dealer who will only sell very good cars in very good shape. I am so lucky I stopped in and got something affordable and that I love. Even more than all that, he made the process fun.It's been great driving my hybrid around and saving on gas.Thanks again for the very reasonable deal Huy, you gave me my money's worth! I plan to keep my Prius for a while, but if something should happen to it, I plan to come to you next time I am in the market for a nice used hybrid.

I bought my prius from him a ways back and it is a great car. He s honest about what you re getting, and offers fair prices for quality cars. I also more recently got an oil change from him and it was fast and he communicated with me through the process on what other things needed to be done. In the process he replaced my air filters and rotated my tires. He didn t take long at all, and while you wait his adorable dog keeps you company. I plan to return for future maintenance or hybrid car purchases.

Hui is model business owner. He is knowledgable and his passion for the Prius is infectious. He stands by his work and is a valuable resource to the neighborhood. Really glad I started taking our car there for oil changes and maintenance. He is honest, does good work, and turn around times are speedy.

I bought a Lexus CT200h from Huy in February, I adore my car and have not encountered any problems since having it! He has very reasonable prices and I felt comfortable buying from him even with this being my first true car purchase (and as a young woman). It was an out-of-state car and there was some delay in getting the title, but he remained consistent with communicating the status of the situation with me. On top of this, he might be the only person I would trust with any work I will need for my hybrid in the future. I would send anyone to Huy and his pup for a great investment and buying experience!

I discovered I had a flat tire and pulled in to the first auto shop I saw--Envirocars. They immediately pumped up my tire and directed me to a nearby tire shop to have it repaired properly. I very much appreciated the friendly (and totally free) service and advice.

I found this place when I was looking to buy a used Prius. (note, I never thought I'd want one until I drove one). Huy had the perfect car for me but I didn't realize it was such a good deal. Even though I had to buy a Prius elsewhere due to timing, Huy has taken good care of it and done my maintenance at good prices. He has a friendly mechanic on hand and is very familiar with Toyotas. I really regret not buying my Prius here (DO NOT GO TO BROADWAY), and will be buying my next one from Envirocars instead. Portland is lucky to have a place like this.

Bought a fantastic and legendary IS300 from Huy for a GREAT price. After a day of driving off the lot I noticed a slight hesitation when pulling away from a stop, after trying to solve the problem on my own and failing I brought it back to Huy in hopes he would be willing to help. Huy spent his own money and time helping me fix the car and go down the list of what might be the problem. Yesterday we finally figured out the problem and he promptly fixed it up, using his own parts, free of charge to me. The car is running at 100% and feels like I m driving a race car!!! I couldn t be more happy. I ve heard of countless experiences of people getting ripped off from dealers and I m so happy to say this is NOT the case when buying a car from here. Huy is honest, dedicated, fair, very knowledgeable on cars, and has a great sense of humor. On top of that he has a cute dog named Kada who will sing you gospel anytime you like! You heard me correct! I might just have to go back to hear her again. I will always recommend Huy to anyone and will definitely return if I ever need work done on my car. Thank you so much Huy!!!!

We purchased a used Prius here last year and have been very happy with Huy and EnviroCars. Almost immediately after purchase our car had an electrical problem with the dash (seems to just have been poor timing that it came up so soon after purchase). Even though this wasn't covered under the warranty, Huy fixed it for us charging only for the parts. More recently, our catalytic converter was stolen, and he installed a new one with a shield for a much lower price than we expected--we appreciate that he is trying to help out folks who've had their cars vandalized, rather than take advantage of them further. Huy seems like a good guy, and we are happy to have him in the neighborhood and to keep going to him for our mechanical needs with our Prius. Thanks, Huy! --Lindsey & Vanilla Ice

Thank you, Huy! We bought our Prius almost a year ago and wanted to wait to leave a review to be as accurate as possible. 25,000 miles later, I can confidently say this car rocks. It s a 2013 plug-in Prius, perfect for our lifestyle and budget. Huy really listened to our story, and we bought the car he put us in. We grow happier with the car every day (and every time the gas prices rise)! We couldn t have picked a better car. Thank you for all your help and amazing service every time we come in. We appreciate you, your dog and all of your employees. We would definitely buy from here again, and are in fact considering it now.

A couple of months ago I was in desperate need of a new car and on a tight deadline- and I feel so fortunate to have found Envirocars. This being my first car purchase and not living in the area I was stressed, but somehow I was able to get a loan from OnPoint CU and purchase my 2012 Lexus CT from Huy in one weekend. He was so flexible and straight forward. It really all just somehow came together so quickly. As I was driving home to the Tri Cities my check engine light came on- I communicated with Huy and it ended up working out that I could drop it off when I was back in town. He fixed it for free in less than a day and since my mpg has been fabulous and I've had no issues. I really do feel so grateful that this all worked out. The car feels so solid.

I highly recommend! I bought my Prius last fall and had a great experience shopping with Hui who is clearly passionate about the work he does and is very experienced in his niche. He is honest and has great integrity, honouring the 6 month warranty even for the routine maintenance required on my 14 year old car. If you are considering buying a car, especially a Prius, going here is a must!

We are very happy with the two vehicles we purchased from Huy. His prices are fair and both cars have proved to be very reliable. Our first vehicle was a plug-in Prius. He sourced a new charging cable, went out of his way to familiarize us with the vehicle (our first ever Prius), took a trade-in, and gave us a generous deal. The second car was a purchase for our daughter. She was in self-quarantine after arriving home from an overseas flight. With Huy's cooperation, we shopped for her via Facetime. We appreciate his flexibility and sense of humor. Great result!

Bought a Prius from this guy. He s hilarious and not pushy. He knocked a $1000 off the total price because my dad bought a Prius from him as well.His dog sings Christian music.One month of having the car I realized the car phone charging/lighter box wasn t working so I couldn t charge my phone.He fixed it in 15 mins on my schedule. I cannot recommend this place enough! I was referred to Envirocars by a friend who raved about their excellent experience both buying their car and getting affordable maintenance done, and now I know why. Huy was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! Since this was my first real car purchase, I was nervous about getting a fair deal and having the space to really consider. Huy was so genuine, and I never once felt pressured or smooth-talked here I received honest and genuine communication. (And not to mention rad dad riddles and a ridiculously adorable singing dog). Huy was happy to teach me the specifications with hybrid engines and car, and gave me a fantastic deal on my dream car! The warranty provides an extra feeling of security. I ve since talked to several hybrid-owners who all get their tune-ups done at Envirocars because the quality and price are unbeatable. I am so over the moon about my experience here, and it feels so vital to support honest, small, locally owned businesses in this time. If you re considering buying a Prius/hybrid or finding a better garage for your one s repairs, this place is where it s at!

I have know Huy since September of 2018, and I have been meaning to write him a review for some time. I'm glad that I have waited, though, because I feel like my experience with him goes back far enough now to provide a substantiative recommendation.I came to Huy when I was in the market for a used Prius, based on the recommendation of a friend. He showed me several cars and gave me all the time I needed without the usual pressure. I ended up deciding to purchase elsewhere because I was looking for a model with lower mileage (more on that later).Based on the trust and rapport I had built quickly with Huy, I brought that car to him for an inspection. He did a very thorough job, even taking it on the highway with me to make sure he could get readings under different conditions.I have since brought the car back to Huy for all of my regular maintenance, and he has continued to earn my trust and respect as a mechanic and as an ethical businessman.Here are the highlights of why I love having Huy as my mechanic.-Huy is a funny, kind, and interesting person, and I like doing business with him. Don't believe me? Just ask him about his gospel-singing dog!-He's a good communicator, and always responds to texts, which makes things much easier for me.-He has a loaner car for you to drive if you need to leave your car with him. Just plan ahead with him to make sure it's available if you are going to need it.-Huy is honest. He won't try to sell you things you don't need. He will actually take the time to explain things he's doing, what parts he is using, etc.-His rates are very reasonable.In the end, I really just should have bought my car from Huy. The one thing that he found wrong with my car in the pre-purchase inspection was a damaged AC compressor. The seller told me that they had fixed it when we finally made the deal, but their repair only lasted a few months. I took it back to Huy, who did the job right. He even made a trip to Salem to find me a used part at a reasonable price.I don't often write reviews for businesses unless I feel like they really deserve some recognition. This is one of those cases. I would absolutely recommend Envirocars if you are looking to buy a used Prius or if you need any work done on your Prius (or any car, really).

Huy is the man! I bought a Prius from him last October and it has been a great experience. he's always friendly, my phone number is from Vermont so he always greats me with a big Mr Vermont!! He's super knowledgeable about all things Prius and really takes care of you once you get to know him. He offered a warranty with my car for the hybrid battery and transmission. A couple months after the purchase I had a coolant leak and my heat wasn't working. Even though this wasn't part of the warranty he gave me, Huy fixed it for free! He's able to take apart batteries and fix them one cell at a time so what may cost you $3000 from a dealship will be less than a grand with Huy. Stop wasting your time at the dealerships, this is a reliable real, personal mechanic that can fix your Prius for cheaper. He's always available and when I did have to get my coolant fixed he gave me a sweet Lexus loaner. I'll be getting all my service needs taken care of here for the life of my Prius.

I bought my second Prius from Huy at Envirocars today. I wouldn t go anywhere else in town. It s clear that Huy loves the cars he sells and knows them inside and out. He s easy to work with, does not gouge, and stands by the cars he sells. When some fiddly thing didn t work on our first one after a month or two of driving (I can t even remember what it was now) he said bring it back and fixed it while we waited for free.He s not hungry or pushy; he seems to have a loyal customer base and knows his products are fairly priced. Huy works alongside his mechanic, and they re a fast and efficient team. I can t recommend Envirocars highly enough.

Super easy transaction. Huy made me feel like he knew the cars from top to bottom. No pressure from his end and a great price on a used Prius made this the easiest car I have bought. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a Prius.

I just purchased my first used 2009 Hybrid Prius at 150,000k from them. I got this vehicle to save on gas for a cross country road trip, and Huy as been a major help in finding me the right Prius for my Budget and making sure it's ready for the long Road Trip ahead. He also taught me some user friendly stuff about the car, because I am used to a standard transmission and not always having to rely on hearing the idle takes some getting used to but overall I love the fact that I get to save a gallon or two at a stop light or in traffic. I also purchased some upgraded lights to make the trip safer visibility wise, and some oil filters so I don't void the warrant for my oil changes with a spark plug change quick same day service. The service I got from them is insanely good, and I also got to visit some food shops while my car was in service and a full belly is always a happy one. With the saving I saved in gas.
