For over 20 years we have used DuFresne s auto service for our automotive servicing. They have always performed top notch work. They are a honest repair facility with top notch talent. Unless the vehicle has a factory recall we use them for all our repairs and servicing.

I picked DuFresne's because they are a small business in my neighborhood and its a convenient place to drop off my vehicle for service. Their drop off hours were also convenient, allowing me to drop my car off before work. The technician who worked on my car gave me a call when my car was ready. Everyone was very pleasant and the service was affordable. I have no complaints!

We have 3 cars that cycle through DuFresne s on a regular basis. They are great, always going above and beyond to make sure we re taken care of. And, of course, Preston is a character and always makes a trip to the mechanic almost fun.

Only ever had positive experiences with Du Fresne's. They do great work, and do it fast. Never feels like you're being scammed, they're always trying to help you save money when you can. Feels good to have a reliable mechanic.

Finally I found the right mechanic shop I will use as long as I live in this area. They are very knowledgeable and do the business honest.I replaced engine coolant in other mechanic shop which is close to my work place. Unfortunately right after I pick up my vehicle the engine overheated after 10~15 min driving.I get diagnosis from the manufacturer dealership, and they recommend to replace water pump, radiator, and thermostat which will cost more than $3000.I gave the diagnosis report to Du Fresne's Auto Service. Du Fresne's Auto Service did its own diagnosis and find the real culprit. The culprit was air pocket inside radiator and thermostat . The final cost including the testing for diagnosis was less than $600.I am very happy to find trustworthy auto shop! Unfortunately it is hard to find auto shop that does the business in right way these days.

I went in to Du Fresne's for an oil change. The team was super friendly and welcoming. There was a convenient and flexible window for dropping off my vehicle.Marco was my technician. He was detailed and patient in walking me through what he discovered during vehicle inspections. The pros and cons of service options were clearly laid out without pushy upselling.

I'll definitely be coming here from now on instead of the dealership.Other highly rated shops in the area only offer drop off, so being able to make a waiting appointment here was great. I don't have to liberty of going without my car for the day, so thank you for doing the work quickly and helping me get on my way.I got an oil change, it was well priced and only took 45 minutes. The mechanic even vacuumed my car out, big thank you.I'll be back again, and again.Service: Oil change

Very happy with my new brakes and rotors! No more squeaky brakes! Better yet, I received free brake pads with my donation of a grocery bag of food! Friendly service as well. Thank you, DuFresnes Auto Repair!

I was a loyal customer at Du Fresnes for close to 3 years. After many services and thousands of dollars spent at this shop, I had a recent experience that left me feeling completely shocked and disrespected. The shop performed a faulty install of my front wheel bearing that caused me to be broken down on the side on the I-5 during rush hour. After getting towed back to their shop and being assured that I d be reimbursed for the expenses, the office manager, Nancy, refused to reimburse my full towing charge. To top it off she was extremely rude and condescending in her handling of the situation. It s disappointing to receive this treatment after the support and loyalty I ve shown. I will not be returning to a business that doesn t respect their customer, ESPECIALLY when it was their error!Note: I attempted to resolve this matter privately with the shop, however no one responded to my emails.

I would definitely recommend shopping around before choosing du fresnes. They charged me nearly $1300 for brakes and the the hourly rate is atrocious. They were able to do the job quickly, not a very busy place so that s a plus. I definitely felt like I got scammed and wish I wasn t in a hurry to get them done.

DuFresne's made a very thorough and accurate diagnosis of my engine (electrical) problem and got my truck back on the road even sooner than they had told me. (and, for less money than if I had listened to the tow truck driver). Thanks, Preston!!

They were amazing to work with. My rear brake pads was in a decent condition and they honestly shared it should be ok for another 9 months or so whereas BMW service center sounded like it has to be more urgently done. Dufresne also identified a faulty alternator, ordered a new part from out of state, fixed it and gave my car back ahead of their initial projection date. Will go with them for future services too!

Fantastic people. They are friendly, responsive and easy on your pocket book. The premises blend in with the neighborhood. I passed it several times before I realized it was not a grocery store, or donut shop. This was my second time in for repairs and both times my wife and I were astounded by their service.

Amazing service done fast. Extremely detailed and went over everything with me in specifics. They had some good recommendations BUT I didn t feel pressured to do anything i didn t want to do. Just a great experience all around.

I'm so glad I contacted DuFresne's. I had taken my Durango to the dealership for what seemed like a bad starter, I got an assessment that just didn't line up. Preston at Du Fresne''s was willing to look at the images of the issue and give advice while the vehicle was still at the dealership. In the end it became quite clear that the repairs recommended by the dealership were not required. I had my vehicle towed to Du Fresne's and was very happy with the service, the attention to detail and the transparency. Quick to get me in, friendly, professional, and quick to get my car fixed. I loved that they called everyday to give me an update. First day they called to go over the bill and let me know the diagnosis, the second day was to let me know the fix was a success and go over payment and pickup. The quote was exactly what I paid.This shop was recommended by my coworker and I really liked my experience here. I strongly recommend them!

Took my car in because of a slow start, left with no solution and charged $160 for that. Of course, I understand labor costs money, but Preston told me on the phone his guys worked on my car for one hour in total. $160/hour with no solution. I had an engine problem and the dealership was a two week wait just to diagnose the problem. I had driven by Du Fresne's for years and noted it was always busy, with nice cars, so I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment on Tuesday for a Thursday diagnosis. They had the problem identified by noon, got the parts ordered, and I was back on the road by mid-day on Friday.Of course the nature of the problem helped with the timing. But the staff was very efficient and thorough so process from walking in for an appointment to driving my car of the lot was as fast as could be expected. I am pleased.

Du Fresne's is great, I've been recommending them to all my friends. They were fast and friendly. I'd been told that I needed my rear brakes replaced by two separate oil change businesses. The breaks seemed OK, but I was concerned. Du Fresne's checked them out, said they were fine, rotated the tires, changed the oil and were very reasonably priced. Everyone was really nice. Du Fresne's is great. We had been looking for a place to take our vehicles rather than continuing to over pay for service at the dealership. Du Fresne's was able to quickly get our vehicle in and evaluate what needed repairing. Mario was incredibly knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He explained what needed to be fixed and what didnt. I would highly recommend using Du Fresne's for your car repair needs.

Had another great experience at DuFresne's. Was able to easily book an appointment, Preston called me to let me know what needed to be done and how much, and was finished way earlier than expected. I've usually always gone to the Mazda dealership for regularly scheduled maintenance, but will be coming back here now. I brought my car for an oil pan gasket leak issue and I had to bring it back a week later since there was still an oil leak/drip.Although the first job fixed the oil pan gasket that I reported, the second source of oil leak was not diagnosed despite the fact that they even went in deep to determine that I had to change my timing belt. This same thoroughness should have been equally applied to find the second oil leak.So I had to come back a week later for the second leak -- not only do I have to take time off work to do this, I also have to spend new labor cost.And on top of this, there was an opportunity to change my spark plugs during the second job, and would have been a minimal added labor, but I was not informed of it until I was picking up the car. So now when I need to change the spark plugs, it will incur another significant labor charges instead of an incremental job cost. The labor cost are not cheap and I feel like I am being stringed along.As of today, it remains to be determined if the oil leak have been fully diagnosed.

My car was not getting cool and with the impending high temperatures I was eager to get this corrected. I took my car to another shop and they quoted my $2k. I took my car to Du Fresne's to get another option and they fixed it for $350. They were quick with getting me the quote and then completing the work. They also have loaner cars so you don't have to figure out other transport. What makes Du Fresne's above an beyond is that they called me a few weeks later to make sure I was still happy with the work and was not having any more issues. Not only did they only charge me for what really needed to be fixed they followed up and they were clear about what work was being done.
