Needed my Hyundai Accent checked w/an oil change, and he fit me in quickly. Shared his opinions of anything else I needed and did the work in a very timely fashion. Price was very reasonable. He s got my business.

If I could give someone more than 5 stars, it would be David. My car overheated badly on my way home from work the other night. I luckily called David the next day, since he just happened to be the closest mechanic to me at that time. I have never been so happy with car help in my life. His prices are insanely reasonable, he worked quickly, and made sure I was safe to drive. THANK YOU David. You have just gained a lifelong customer.Services: Auto water leak repair, Auto maintenance

My husband and I are new to the Vancouver area and had a bumper problem come up. We took our Mazda to 2 different car shops before Dave Owens. We should have gone to Dave first! The other shops said we would need to get a completely new bumper and it was going to be very costly $$$, but Dave was able to fix it for an amazing price. Very honest and reasonable. He will always be our #1 choice from now on when we have car issues! We highly recommend him to anyone!

David is an honest, no nonsense guy that doesn't charge for unnecessary work. This isn't the closest shop but I've been taking my vehicles to Dave for routine maintenance and more complicated repairs for over a decade.I appreciate that he's honest and straight with me about what the problem is, what needs to be fixed, and also what is less important but worth keeping an eye on for repair later on. It's great to be able to ask a trained mechanic "What would you do if this were your car?" and know he's not going to take advantage of me and replace parts that aren't broken.

My 1993 Honda Accord was leaking oil and getting smelly. Dave figured out I needed a new oil pressure sending unit switch, and the car was done in a couple hours for a very nominal price. :)It runs a lot quieter now and the smell is gone. I think Dave is a good and honest mechanic and I feel lucky to have had his help.

Dave is friendly and experiened like no other!He repaired a few of my vehicles and is great at what he does, he is very knowledgeable and has affordable rates.I highly would recommend Dave to family, friends and anyone that needs repair done to their vehicle!

It is great having a skilled mechanic you can trust! My family and my extended family have used Dave for years. He communicates well and does not overcharge. I recently moved my family to Idaho, but on a recent trip to Oregon I schedule the visit so Dave could look at our truck. I wish there were more like him!

David worked quickly and efficiently to get both of my sons back on the road safely. Both kids had their cars broken into, and David sought out local replacement parts, installed them immediately and affordably. I would definitely return when I need work done!

A friend recommended David to me for repairs on my 2013 Nissan Sentra. David was fairly priced, efficient, easy to work with and most importantly knowledgable in successfully repairing my car. Dave is a great mechanic and always at a fair price. Very patient, explaining options, or even recommending order of repair urgency when spreading out work based on budget available. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone in need of a great mechanic!

My wife and I were in Portland last Tuesday and Wednesday.Wednesday evening, on our way out of town, our 2001 VW Beetle began lurching uncontrollably, with various warning lights showing up on the dashboard.Not wanting to push our luck, we pulled off I5 north at Jantzen Beach and decided to spend the night in hopes our car troubles might go away by morning.Of course that didn't happen, so after a quick online search my wife found Dave Owens and contacted him immediately. A couple hours later, we were pulling into his garage not a mile from where we were staying.A couple hours after that, we pulled out of his garage and headed straight up I5.Our experience with Dave is that he's patient and attentive. It didn't take long for him to settle on a course of action, and he was forthcoming about what his efforts would and wouldn't do.For the work he performed that got us home to Seattle that afternoon without any problem along the way...he charged well under what we expected given how catastrophic our car had been behaving.More than fair.Some time after we arrived home, my wife's phone rang.It was Dave making sure we got home safely.If you're in the Portland area and you need someone to take care of you and your vehicle, we highly recommend Dave.He took care of us.:-)

I ve been going to Mr. Owens for more than 10 years now, and have had nothing except exceptional service. He has always provided reliable, honest, thorough, and efficient service, and is a man that stands by his work. We have numerous big chain services less than a mile from our home, but he is always worth the trip. If you are looking for a mechanic to trust, Mr. Owens is the one.

David Owens is a great mechanic who will help you any way he can, his location is a bit tucked away so if you have been referred to him consider yourself lucky; it is hard to find a mechanic that isn't interested in ripping you off and provides a great service for a fair price. David Owens is a master mechanic that doesn't have to charge for all the extras the dealership has (owners, salesmen, pushy service writers, marble floors in the bathroom ect.).

The best service and honesty I've had from a mechanic. Us out of towners needed the AC fixed for a cross country trip and he did it same day. Highly recommended.

I just called to see if they were open today. They guy who answered was rude from the start . I couldn't believe it. When I said I was gonna call another auto shop because he was busy unless I brought my car in immediately he told me nor to bother coming in and hung up on me. Do Not Give this jerkkk your money. Support local business that care.
