I took my car here to have my windshield wiper linkage and arms replaced, after getting a quote of over $900 (using generic parts) at another shop. Dave quoted me $300 with Toyota parts. The work is done and the price was exactly what he quoted me. After unfortunately trying a couple of dishonest shops that had really great reviews, I'm so happy to find an honest one. Did a great job on the cooling system of my 1971 LTD. Car runs spectacularly and I can drive it daily now. Communication sometimes was slow but they are just 2 or 3 guys and they have a lot of work, and I can see why. Ill be a repeat customer when I have another repair need. Thanks guys

I would 100% recommend Dave to anyone looking for a no-nonsense, straight forward answer to their auto ailments.Dave was also very upfront with cost of parts and labor and called to reconfirm the agreed upon amount before he started work.Dave's been in the community for a long time and I hope he stays for many more years.

We live out of the area but have had our older Suburban break down twice in the last few months while visiting Portland, once for an alternator failure and once for a broken water pump. Each time, Dave and his team have been able to fit us in, even when we had to drop by the car last minute near closing one evening. The service was excellent and the prices very fair. We were very impressed and appreciated his hard work. He is reliable and trustworthy and I highly recommend his auto services.Services: Electrical repair, Auto water leak repair, Engine repair

Not the worst service but definitely not the best. Owner and staff were short with me sometimes, and did not communicate very well. Very hard to reach on the phone. Car was done late and I missed an appointment because of this, and they were very unhelpful around it. Also one headlight was supposed to be repaired and came back with the other broken. Also charges seemed high, but in fairness I did not take for a second opinion so I can't say for certain. Would likely recommend somewhere else simply for communication and customer service.

Dave is amazing! We arrived on his door step before opening, our truck was having issues on our roadtrip home. He was very nice and took a look right at it and helped us get on our way. We are forever grateful to Dave!! Thank you!

My family and I have been taking are vehicles to Dave your over 15 years and he has never let us down. I refer him to friends and even stranger who need an honest and fare experience and again Dave and his crew have never fallen short on quality diagnostic and excellent service at a fare ( often more than fare ) price. If it s not broke he won t try and fix it at the expense of your pocket book. Old school quality service that won t disappoint. Recently bought a motor home and we needed a honest reliable mechanic to take a look under the hood. We asked around and a good family friend told us if we wanted a fare shake to go to there long time RV mechanic.... You guessed it Daves place. These guys do it all! Thanks Dave. The Porter Family!

TERRIBLE!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I went to Dave's to get a fuel pump put on and instead he charged me 400$ to do something to my electrical an now it doesn't start normally. Not to mention I had to pay another 800 to him to have a fuel pump put on when that's all I wanted in the first place. And I paid him up front and it still took a month to get my truck back.

I was in an accident on my way to work - I called Dave's shop as it was the closest. It was early but he called me right back walked me through everything and got my car right in. It was affordable, quality work and done the same day! They earned a customer for life!

Honest and fair. Jobs big or small. Dave is top notch and knows his field well. I'm an industry where its hard to find all of the above listed qualities, Dave's Auto Care is a gem and a relief in a situation that could be very stressful. I trust him with any of my vehicles and would highly recommend to anybody that is looking for regular car maintainence or has any issues with their vehicle.

Dave saved me from an unfortunate car with his pre-purchase inspection. He looked at it for 10 min after running the diagnostic codes and told me the car had been hit REALLY hard. He showed me how the entire front end had been replaced, the engine had been completely removed and reinstalled, and the tire treads showed both overinflation and that the car was VERY out of alignment.This car had an accident-free Carfax as well, so I had assumed it had no major issues. On top of it all he does pre-purchase inspections for free, some other places charged an hour of labor. I'll be back.

I had a terrible experience here. The men were extremely rude to me and weren't wearing masks at all.I always try and give my business to Sellwood neighborhood businesses whenever I can, but take your business elsewhere if you're looking for any amount of customer service at all.

They are slow as molasses. Dave called one of his other mechanics an idiot. I wish I could leave a good review, but I have given him too many chances to make things right.

Thie guy ripped me off big time had my car just short of 3 months put a fule pump in that i didn't need now my gas gage doesn't work 870.00 he charged me thief
