New situation is not efficient. The mopey guy that used to be there had a better turn around time and his work was just fine. Will not be using their services again.

One of their workers thought it was a good idea to wire wheel every surface of my aluminum cylinder head including the cam journals and the cam cradle mounting surface. How to destroy a perfect head 101. And the final price was higher than the quoted price

I cannot stress enough how great of a job these guys did on a tired and damaged pair of LS heads I brought in. The turn around was much faster than expected and quality of the work was excellent. Dans Cylinder Head is the most awesome machine shop I have ever seen. They do absolutely fantastic work. I have had engine mechanical repairs completed several time throughout the years and I have always had more than a 5 star experience. The staff is curious, kind, respectful. They are the place for everyone! I will be returning many more times. Thank you guys !

This is hands down the place to go to bring your head in to get a resurfaced and inspected. The staff here is very knowledgeable. You get what you pay for it's not the cheapest place in town but it's definitely an honest outfit that does not cut corners and those things the right way the first time. This place been in business as long as I've been working on cars and as far as I can remember back growing up as a kid.

Alway's a professional job quick turn around! Was recommend here by a professional mechanic years back and have been coming back for my projects ever since! Recently tried to get my intakes cleaned but no one would do it. Dan did it for a very reasonable price. I even offered a generous tip for cleaning them but he declined and just said he wanted my business. Wish I met more people like this!

I've used Dan's for the last 5 years and He's great. He's a real guy that quickly becomes a friend. Excellent work, fair prices, great service. Always good for his word, and what more could you want than that.

Took a set of 1965 Ford 289 heads in to be rebuilt about 10 years ago. They did excellent work, in a timely manner, charged a very fair price, and when i picked up the heads they looked like new. Good customer service.

They helped me out with a small unorthodox request. I had two screws that were broken off in a fiberglass hardtop that I needed removed. Dan was able to drill them out and remove them for me at a very reasonable price.

I had a stainless exhaust header that had a warped flange on it, so I called the shop to see if they'd be able to fix it. With no hesitation he said, of course! Took it in this morning and he skillfully straitened out the flange using their huge belt sander. Great service and company.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Went to Dan's Cylinder Head for a motorcycle project I'd been having trouble with for weeks. I had gone to 2 other shops in town and they couldn't help. I called Dan and he told me to send pictures to his cell. Within minutes he called back and told me to bring my cylinder head down and he had an idea about what could be done. I brought it down the next day and Dan set to work to remedy the situation. It took about 30 minutes and my cylinder head was fixed (resurfaced, cleaned cams, honed down Cam journal scoring). Can't say enough good things about the level of service offered here.

Just dropped off an aluminium head so I don't know the final result yet, but Dan was very clear on what would be done and the outcome possibilities plus the pricing was reasonable! Will update when done.

Dan is awesome! He's been doing repairs on cylinder heads in Portland for decades. They work on all sorts of different heads, helpful and knowledgeable, they will square you away.

Very knowledgeable people work here. When you need your car repaired then you want 1) very knowledgeable people and 2) quality parts. You get both here. Approach these guys as geniuses in their field, cause that's what they are.

I drove 2 hours to get a set of Toyota heads resurfaced. They resurfaced my heads in short time. Geat helpful service and affordable. Will definitely go back.

i took 2 powerstroke 7.3 diesel heads too Dans and he did a GREAT job ! , i have not put them on the block yet the machining looks great, i would have liked them to be a bit cleaner, i assumed they would have been dipped in a hot tank or something, but i guess not, there is some grease in the nooks and crannies that got painted and all over my hands, but other than that a good job. i will post more when they are on the truck and running.

This is worst machine shop i have ever seen.I called to ask about getting some valve guides replaced and they were completely condescending and hung up on me.I would rather scrap my car than take any part of it there.
