This place will rip you off! Beware!!.. brought my van in because it wouldn't start..Came in the next day and was told the engine was shot and had no compression...my mechanic friend came and we towed it out of there.. after 15 mins my friend had it started and running..turns out all it was is the engine was flooded with gas..They charged me 150$ to do absolute nothing..If you wanted to get oakie doked for a few hundred this is your kinda place..

I am waiting on a diagnostic right now, same-day, Saturday morning, I have been searching for a mechanic I can trust, so far no one has been easier to talk to or so willing to help without a bunch of fees, or trying to sell me services before even looking at it. So far five star. After the work I will do another review. I'm confident I will be happy here. I think I have finally found my new mechanic.

I have only been going here since 2019 three of my cars have only been repaired by D and his crew. My current car has needed everything from a new engine to the AC unit to the converter to you name it he does it all at the best prices for the best work. I only recommend this shop. I won t even get an oil change anywhere else. YOU WILL NOT REGRET COMING HERE! They will save your car and your wallet!! Everyone is so nice and understanding. Come here for any problems! They will take care of you!! Even a Prius is no match for the shop.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, Air conditioning

As good as it gets. Cheaper than most shops. I've taken my cars here for years. My family has also made this shop their go to repair shop. They are honest and considerate. Great service at this shop, reliable and trustworthy. I always recommend friends and family here. Last time I was there my Chevrolet Tahoe had an A/C issue that no one could fix. I took it to D's Automotive and it's going on two years without any issues. It's important for my cars to be reliable for me and my family. This shop keeps them running 100%. Dimitri is a honest reliable mechanic with the best prices in Portland. My car had some really hard to fix issues and it was all fixed within two days. I will never go to another mechanic. Wow! Amazing service! Our friends bought a used car in Portland then right away they were in an accident near D's. They graciously fixed them up the same day! And they stayed there fixing it until 9pm so they could drive the car back to Washington. Sounds like a great group of guys work here. Thanks so much for taking good care of our friends when they were stuck out of state!

The initial repair was incorrect, which gave me great pause. However Dimitrio sent his own tow truck to bring my car back. In the process of this adjustment, another part got knocked out of whack! He took it back again, drivable this time. This was around 4 p.m., imagine my surprise when he brought it back that same evening! This time in perfect working order. Anyone can make a mistake - even two! But it was the honest straightforward way in which he handled it will have me back. Plus, my car runs GREAT!! Thank you D!!!

Demetrio and his staff fixed an ongoing problem with my Check Engine Light. This was preventing me from renewing my '99 Nissan's registration and tags. I had been taken advantage of as a long-time customer at another repair shop for weeks to the tune of $1,500. As it turned out, they had only been guessing after checking the codes, what to work on and kept stringing me along.I found Demetrio's work to be methodical, knowledgeable and he himself, a kind and honest businessman/mechanic. I was at my wits end when I saw a referral to him from one of the Japanese Auto repair shops and thought why not, after looking at the reviews here. I got my tags finally, on 3/1/23, one day after they had expired and because of his work, can keep the car for another 2 years.I think they truly enjoy their work, helping people and solving puzzles that engines and other issues can present. It's a real relief to find someone who can help me because I do have an old car I want to have last as long as possible.My only hesitation in writing this recommendation is that he will become so busy I won't be able to get an appointment.Thank you, Demetrio!Service: Engine repair

DS worked on my radiator because it was overheating. I had a new radiator and fans put in not by him but I went to him because I had Steve was my mechanic on Stark and 1 62nd Ave. he was fabulous..So Steve told me to go see DS automotiveSo I took it to him. I bought the water pump and the thermostat and the hoses to go on when I picked it up they broke the latch to fasten down the hood. They kept on hanging it and then they turn little indentations on my hood today. I drove it today is Tuesday march 14. I took it to Winco and it overheated so I came back home to open up the hood. They broke the hood latch inside the car so I had to get a pair of pliers to open it. I am highly upset with this type of business and performance do not take your car there, they are very bad mechanics. They don t treat your cars with respect or dignity like you would like any other Mechanic probably would. Steve would ve never did this to my automobile.I will let Steve know that he needs to find someone else to take over for him because these auto mechanics are lousy do not take your car there they re terrible they don t care and they charge me in labor over $800 for the lousy work

If I could give this shop more stars I would. I have been coming to d's for quite some time. He is knowledgeable, he cares about the car and getting it fixed first the right way.I used to have my Tacoma which was a engine rebuild , amongst other things. He had it back to me on a half the time other mechanics would take because he cares about his customers.y. Sonota now.... Great car and continues to be good for me because I have a very good mechanic who hasn't broken the wallet . Will continue to talk cars to him and his outstanding team

Got my VW Jetta Wolfsburg back on the road. Demetrio runs a very busy business with all manner of cars there.They helped change the cat, driver side axle, ball joints and ti-rods.My car drives as it should and I have a grandmother and aunt that have gone here for various car troubles. Highly suggest this place for any car repairs!

Communication over phone was very helpful with the work that I have done in past on cars and asking questions through other people's knowledge. I have worked on older motors not newer. Plus I have been dealing with IBS issues and can not do the stuff with confidence or remember things. I also took my HHR SS too mechanic close to home. I told them water was mixing in oil. Too my knowledge it would be headgasket. They charged me$2800 for water pump and timing chains. They said they tested the headgasket and it was fine. I asked them what else we could do to make sure that was the problem. They said we can drop the oil pan and the oil for metal flakes. Ok, let's do that. They said it was good, so that is why I went though and did the water pump and timing chains. Four months down the road, did the same thing it started to act up again. I checked oil. No water mixture but noticed rainbow effect in my coolant. Since under warranty I took it back. Now they say it is the turbo for $2700. That's when I said I will figure it out myself and know that I needed too that anyways.

Demetrio is a good man, and an honest mechanic, with really good prices. He really focuses on finding the problem and keeping it cost effective. He went further on my van than anyone else. If you need any auto work, this is the place to go. My 2010 Volkswagen Jetta check light came on as well as an I discovered I had an oil leak. I was referred by a friend that I should take my car to D's Automotive so I decided to take their advice and much to my pleasure I was able to get my car repaired during a busy time of the year (Christmas)! Not to mention they were fast and efficient which was awesome given I have a tight work schedule. They first inspected the oil leak, ran a Diagnostic test for the Check Engine light and called me to go over what they discovered and advice of the cost before starting the work.
