I had a flat tire replacement in the morning of 2/7/24. The work was done properly. The spare tire was put back without an additional charge. This saved the dirty job for me since the spare tire is under the car. I walked by to check my car and saw a worker was inflating my spare tire to a proper pressure. Excellent job. The check in process in the lobby is also nice and professional with high efficiency. Thanks.

Made an appointment to get new tires installed, showed up 15 mins early as requested. I was told it would be 2 hours, b/c there were appts ahead of me. What's the point of having an appt if you can't work on my car at that time? At the 2 hour mark, I walked over to the bays, and there was my car, just sutting there done. They must have seen me, b/c 60 seconds later I got a call telling me my car was ready. Such a frustrating experience, what a let down Costco!!!!!

Not enough staff. Tire center is separate entity from Costco. Classic case of right hand not know what the left hand is doing. Three separate visits and two appointments later and still no new tires on my car. SMH

Service sucks .took an hour to simply buy a battery off the shelf wasn t even asking for install, simply wanted to take away and install myself, stood in a line, which made no sense to even have a line, as the one guy working the counter kept asking for online appointments which apparently have a higher priority over a customer patiently waiting his turn. When I finally got helped, the apparently over worked employee had to take three steps away from his counter to hand me battery and as he was printing up invoice asked if I had a core battery . I said yes and told him I had to walk out to truck and get old battery for 15$ credit. So, I naturally assumed he wouldn t charge me core credit on first invoice. But I went ahead and paid for everything thinking I ll just walk back in and get my credit. But no, went through whole waiting game again as people behind me kept getting helped before me and my simple credit. I finally lost it and said to the new guy who walked in whats it gonna take to get my credit and asked why I was charged when I told the first guy I had my core, he responded that he figured I would not come back with core, so apparently he assumed I was a thief. I guess what I m trying to say is if you want to buy a battery off shelf make sure you have your core on hand during first transaction or will be pushed to the side.

*** Parts will fall off your car if you let this shop work on them ***The tech put my wheel cover on wrong and it fell off during driving that day. For a month I've dealt with a headache of a claims company that I was sent to bc of this. Today I called b/c the claims wants to pay me less than half of what the wheel cover costs. The tech that I talked to talked to his managers who said to take care of the customer but also it's in claims so they can't do anything. He then said the manager thought it was odd that the wheel cover was there when the tires were changed and there after they tightened the bolts (they told me come back after driving 25 miles to have them tightened) so basically it's not their fault. It seems like simple logic to understand that if those wheel covers never fell off in the years they've been on and suddenly fall off the day that a tech rips them off to tighten bolts, then it is their fault. It's dangerous to do business with people and companies who refuse to admit they messed up and refuse to right their wrongs.

Worst tire experience. Bad customer service. There s was no one at the register for 15 mn. I finally got my car checked in and I waited for over two hours and my car didn t move from the parking spot. I couldn t wait any longer so I left. Costco, get it together!

Don't bother,; go to Les Schwab. Took 6 weeks to have the tires shipped to the warehouse and to get an appointment for them to be mounted. The appointment took over an hour just to check-in for due to a line at the tire counter and it ran almost 2 hours over. The unavoidable construction nail in Summer was the last chance for a positive customer interaction and they don't even answer their phone. I finally called the Costco admin team after 2 days of trying and there was no surprise, no apology, and no way for them to reach that department by phone either. I was told someone would walk down there and find someone to call me back to see if they could fix my flat before closing (I called 5 hours before closing). That was an hour ago and still no call, so, never again. I would like what I paid for so back to Les Schwab.

Very poor experience, ordered my tires online 2 week prior to appointment, arrived and my tires hadn t shipped yet and they told me to just book again, I declined that option, and they figured something out. Sadly they installed the tires wrong and my car shakes at highway speeds, attempted to go last Friday to have them fix the issue, and was told itd be hours. Tired to call but they wouldn t book me an appointment for that.

Service was friendly but they estimated 1-1:30 hrs and it's running on 2 1/2 right now. It's a good thing I didn't buy ice cream or have anything else planned for the day

They could not help me with a tire that was losing air that was under warranty and asked me to come back tomorrow, but they couldn t guarantee they could help me even if I left the car there all day, and their next appointment was two weeks out. What is the point of a warranty if they can t help.

Had a set of tires put on. They took a set of almost brand new tires off. Would have thought they would have saved them and put them in my car. But NO! I was NEVER asked if I wanted my almost new tires disposed of. So basically they stole 800$ worth of tires from me. Was told it was policy to dispose of the take offs.I will never buy another set of tires from Costco .

This place sucks. Avoid at all costs. Come here only if you are willing to waste your entire day. Passing this on to corporate.

1. The 1-1/4 hour tire installation appointment took over 2-3/4 hours.2. They did not re-initialize the tire pressure monitoring system.3. When I returned the next day to get the TPMS corrected, Nick told me there was nothing to do I just need to drive it enough it will self correct.4. That was wrong. After driving 1000 miles, the TPMS was still reporting errors and blank or incorrect readings.5. I took it to another Costco, and they scanned and initialized the TPMS correctly.A lot of wasted time and driving after spending $1000 on new tires.

Prices were great, service was good, but if you have an appointment, make sure you have another ride to pick you up. There is no waiting room. They have a small red bench, but no waiting area. I was a little under the weather when I went and the bench was already taken. So I had to stand for an hour and a half and walk around the Costco store until my service was completed. Not a great experience. Don't schedule an appointment hee unless friends or family bring another car.

They always do a great job. They are slammed and about ten days out on appointments. I had one for today and arrived twenty minutes ahead of time. They were done with my four tires in less than thirty minutes. Awesome! Have bought all of our tires for all of our vehicles for the past twenty five years.

My son and daughter in-law had a flat near this store. They were in the parking lot, took tire off and took it in to them to fix at 1 pm. Waited until 3 pm to check on the repair. They told him it wouldn't be ready until 6pm. They are traveling through. Not sure it's worth buying tires here if that's the kind of service they have.

As we were driving into Portland for two day stay we had one of our tires explode. I first thought if this was going to happen anytime how perfect as the hotel we were staying at was only 9miles from this Costco. that evening I went online to look at the tires options they might have and it first thought how perfect! They have some decently reviewed tires on sale but the sale expired that evening so I ordered them online hoping they would have the stock in store. I called up the next morning to see if they had them in stock and I could get them installed that day. I tried calling half dozen times and finally got though after an hour + of trying ! The person I finally talked to confirmed they had them in stock and said it would take two to four hours to fit us in that day so I headed over. When I arrived I found out my online order could not be used and I would have to purchase them again! I was also out the sale price initially as it expired the night before. After talking with supervisor they still wouldn't honour that sale price and I would have to take it up with Costco online. I gave up and just as I was about to pay I noticed the sign behind the counter that said they were still on sale! That some how qualified for the supervisor to give me the sale price(why he wouldn't just do that at first I have no idea). The other issue it took Costco online almost 2 weeks to refund the online purchase and in that time the exchange rate had changed so drastically that I was out a bunch of currency conversion fees on my credit card. What a terrible experience that at so many points could have been better explained and rectified. What a customer service nightmare from both Costco online and this Costco tire shop!

I ve always bought my tires from Costco and usually had pleasant experiences. Recently came in with a flat and they told me with an attitude to come back in 5 days to get it patched. No thanks, I ll stop by my local Schwab instead

Poor service at the counter, Several customers waiting and only guy named Tim working. He spent more time joking and socializing with one customer and ignoring everyone else. No acknowledgement was made to the other customers. No apologies. Finally another guy showed up so I could buy a battery which I was ready to buy. Waiting nearly 20 minutes. Unacceptable. This is why I buy my tires at America's Tire. they know how how to treat customers right.

I've found the overall cost to purchase and install a set of tires is significantly less expensive than other stores in the area, especially if you're looking for a premium brand tire. For the cost savings, you definitely sacrifice convenience and customer service.A few things I've learned about dealing with this place include:Don't expect to get your tires the same day. Order them ahead of time. The best way to do this is online. You can also schedule an appointment online. Do not waste your time calling or talking to them in-person. They won't get your tires any faster and probably won't answer the phone. They don't like working on tires you bought elsewhere and will always try to steer you towards purchasing a set of 4, even if you don't need a full set. This is not really a full service shop. It's main function is to install tires purchased from Costco. When it comes time to install your tires, expect to wait in line. A lot. They usually have one employee at the desk who is responsible for checking people in and out, along with selling tires and batteries. The line is almost always really backed up. Expect 30 minutes to drop off and pick up. The actual installation time does not take too long though.Lastly, realize that the employee behind the counter will likely be incredibly rude and will display a level of arrogance that any paying customer should be offended by. If you have Jules as your service advisor, good luck. He is the worst. We will probably continue shopping here because I like to save money and value having good quality tires on our vehicles, but decide for yourself if it's worth the hassle.

Took my car over New Years Eve after my tires got slashed right in front of my home. I tell them I'm worried about leaving my car overnight in their parking lot for that reason, and I'm glad they say they can take care of it today. They say they'll call me when it's done, maybe around 7, and they ask for my phone number, which the guy there working says "ah, got it right here on this paper." Cool... I go home. It's getting close to 7, so we head over there thinking they'll be done soon, and when we get there, my car has new tires and is just sitting in front of the tire center, but everything's closed--like, the tire center and the main building--so I can't get my keys back. Apparently, they closed early for NYE. Anyway, I had to leave my car there overnight because I didn't have a spare key and wasn't able to get one the night of New Years Eve. This is not a safe place to leave a car overnight, and for someone who just had their tires slashed, I found it especially stressful. They were also closed the next day, so had I not been able to get ahold of my car keys Saturday morning, my lil' ol' car would be sitting there all Saturday day and night.I finally went to get my keys back Sunday, and I basically had to beg for an apology. They were adamant they didn't screw up, but I trusted them, and they fell through for me. They said they called the number, but the number they had is not the one I told them. I have no intention as of now of ever returning to the Costco tire center.

So I bought batteries for my truck back in December of 2019 and installed them myself, Costco doesn't install batteries. So any way the batteries stopped taking a charge. I took them in and they replaced them free of charge. Great service! Thank you Costco.

They do have great tires. But. I recently ran over a nail about 2 miles from them. While waiting for a tow to them (as they were the only place open) i called over a dozen times with no answer. After calling the main store and being transfered i got an answer asking to please hold. I was then disconnected. So i called back a half dozen more times to no avail. Once i got there i was told that they could repair the tire and that it would take about 15 minutes. I told them that was fine. They then told me that they would not repair it because they did not have time because they only had 2 and a half hours till closing but they would be happy to air it up for me. So i had to find a screw and screw it into the hole in my tire so it would hold air long enough to limp my car home. By far the worst experience i have had at a tire center.

Was planning to have tires installed here until they told me it would be a minimum 2 week wait for an appointment. Unbelievable. Staff were also completely unhelpful on the phone. Going to Discount Tire instead where I can get tires at the same price installed same day. I absolutely love Costco and was really disappointed with this poor experience at the tire center.

NASCAR - 4 tires changed in 11-15 secondsCostco - 4 tires rotated in 1hr and 19minI know it s apple to oranges. But over an hour to move around 4 tires?Counting all the hours I sit at the tire center for rotations, I m not sure the money I saved was worth it.

If you're a Costco member then you should ALWAYS utilize what services they offer. Whether it's optical, pharmacy, hearing or the tire service. The best time to get service is during the evenings in the week due to the fact they get bombarded by Washington members avoiding taxes on the weekends. Waits on their busiest days are 1-2.5 hrs for "walk-ins." The saving grace here is the ability to schedule an appointment. You can even order the tires online and have them notify you when they arrive. The crew is helpful, quick and efficient. They take their jobs very seriously and realize the importance of solid installations.Compare prices and you'll see Costco members get coupons almost continuously on the tires. Michelin and Bridgestone.Try 'em out!
