We called Burback Motors looking for a pre-purchase inspection for an older used BMW we were looking at. They were super nice on the phone and went out of their way to be helpful. We brought the car in and they look one look at it and told us it wasn't worth paying to have them inspect it because they could tell right away it had a number of issues which would likely make it expensive to own. Grateful to them for their professionalism and for saving us from making an expensive mistake. Highly recommend.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Amazing shop with incredible people operating it. Honestly the only place I would trust the Benz with. Feel so incredibly blessed to have them in Portland. No hype just pure honesty and love for what they do.

Apparently an old 1950 Hudson, was randomly in the opening door of the German automotive mechanic shop, Burback Motors, in Southeast Portland.I briefly visited the shop, a couple of days ago and talked to the original husband and wife owners.Our grandfather, [our mother's father] had the same identical car in the mid-to late 1940s.I have photographs of it with the family standing in front of it

I was referred to Burback by my mechanic, who works on my truck since he doesn t work on Mercedes very often, nor diesel motors; which I m looking into purchasing in a fairly uncommon model. When I called Burback simply to ask if they would work on this type of vehicle (just so I know there is someone reputable in town to service it), they didn t just say no; they took the time to explain to me why not. This was beyond helpful because they educated me about a particular issue I was unaware of. After talking on the phone for ten minutes or so, I thanked them and went about my day. About thirty minutes later, Linda from Burback called me back (I didn t even leave her my number!) after trying a few numbers before she found me. When she eventually reached me, she explained that she had been talking to one of their technicians, Mike, who wanted to further bring to my attention potential issues in the particular vehicle I was looking to buy. Mike and I continued to talk on the phone for another twenty or thirty minutes, with him sharing invaluable knowledge and experience, and us trading stories. Frankly, I m a little speechless. Linda, Mike and the rest of the Burback team, you ve got a customer for life when I finally track down this rig. Thank you for just being kind people who want to help!

I was referred to Burback Motors from Derek Slemp and I couldn't have been more happy to hear of what Ryan said after I had purchased my C55 AMG. I'll be scheduling another service here. Thoughtful people and a wonderful business

Honestly, one of the best experiences I ve ever had with an auto shop. Friendly and kind from the beginning to the end, straightforward and decently priced. Whether it be the front desk to the fellows who actually worked on my car, everyone is actually human and treats you the same way. They were able to squeeze me in their schedule and drop my car off then pick it up later that day, ready to go. Seriously, if I ever have any more problems (which I will, it s a BMW), I m going here again. I m also going to be referring friends to here as much as I can.

Honestly your business is the only place I trust to bring my car to get fixed. Everyone is nice and I have never had a problem with anything that has been repaired here. You all do great work and I am thankful to do business with honest people.

They were great about explaining everything great atmosphere couldn't complain about anything definitely recommended!! Especially if you have a Benz the price was definitely right

Been getting my vehicle worked on here for 10+ years. You'll get no better a result in town and Mike's brutal and endearing honesty will not leave you hanging.
