I live in Montana, but might continue to call and visit Chase and Dan at Broadway Import Auto Service! It's rare to come across such honest brokers, who take the time to explain all aspects of the work. What's more, they continue to help me with decision making about the right car for me and what I need to do with my current vehicle to suit my needs. I can't recommend them more highly.

Saved us $3k! UPDATE 1/9/2024: the Mazda dealership quoted my wife over $3000 for a busted heater core and struts, but after getting a second opinion from Broadway we found out that none of that work was needed. Save your money and bring your car here where they will be honest with you. We will only bring all our cars here moving forward. We appreciate the amazing customer service!ORIGINAL REVIEW 2019I moved to SE and was looking to find a new auto shop. Based on reviews I gave broadway auto a try. They were able to fit me in for an oil change and also changed the transmission fluid and did a great job! I ll be looking at using them again in the future. Their customer service was also top notch! I definitely got a vibe that they cared about their clients. My only criticism is that their prices were a little higher than I was used to. For example my last mechanic charged about $10 less for an oil change but when it comes to my car I m willing to pay a little more if I know the quality is there.

I have had my oil changed here twice and found their services to be friendly, thorough, and professional both times. My VW requires a little bit more knowledge than other auto service places might have and the staff seem to really know what they're doing! I trust that the people here love these cars and care about doing things the right way.

They always give us the strait answer about what is needed and they never try to upsell us. They really do a lot to create loyalty by doing the simple things well: communication, courtesy, charging fair prices, and doing things on time.

A toe hitch impaled my car when I rear ended it and they were able to fit me in and get my radiator, ac, and the bumper support bar replaced within 2 days for very reasonable pricing. A friend recommended Broadway Imports to me and I'm glad he dide. I called them to get their opinions on a strut replacement today. The guy I spoke with was very knowledgeable and honest. When I called the other auto shops they only gave me a service quote and did not really educate me. But he spent a few minutes explaining general characteristics of the suspension system on my car and gave me a few good tips to determine when to replace.

This was my first time using Broadway Import Auto Service and I was very impressed. My car started overheating while I was nearby so I gave them a call and they let me drop it off immediately shortly before close. They diagnosed the issue the next morning, ordered parts, and had it fixed two days after that, well ahead of their initial estimate. Additionally, they proactively repaired a moonroof draining issue and did their best to rid the car of as much accumulated moisture as possible, a problem I hadn t thought to inquire about because my normal shop would not even accept an appointment for it. Derek is awesome. Did a brake flush here not long ago. They were fantastic. Very friendly and professional. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. They checked the car out and everything looked fine.The little things matter too like when they park your car face forward after they are done so you can just drive straight onto Broadway instead of backing into traffic or waiting for traffic then backing out. I took my Hyundai into the dealer last summer after it developed a problem with stalling. I had to leave my car for three weeks only for them to service it but not fix the problem. The stalling worsened over the past few months so I made an appointment with Broadway. I described the problem and they correctly diagnosed and fixed it in about a day. The price was very fair too. I recommend Broadway Import Auto Service to anyone looking for a fair and honest shop for their import auto. I replaced my radiator and not only did they charge me a fair price ( not like a few other shops in town) but they did it in a timely manner. From the moment I dropped off my Audi, Derek and the rest of the shop were friendly, professional, and forthright. I took a car that I bought used in for a once over since I had vague maintenance records. I felt like they told me exactly what I needed. They could have taken advantage of my lack of history on the car and loaded me up with unnecessary services. The price was 1/3 of what I had been quoted at the dealership.They were fast and courteous. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The good: Scheduling was easy. They were able to get me in next day. Pricing for my labor was considerably cheaper than what I was quoted at the dealership. Excellent communication when they found an additional issue that needed to be repaired.The bad: one of the fixes did not work - air bag connection under the passenger seat. Codes were reset and the warning light removed. But, the next day when I started the car the warning light was back. I phoned Broadway to let them know and they asked me to bring the car back in to make it right. Nice to have them stand behind their work.All in all, a very good experience.

I wasn't sure what was causing the problems with my car but when I called Broadway Import Auto Service was able to schedule me within a few days. I dropped it off in the morning and received a call within 90 minutes outlining the work they proposed. I okayed the plan and my car was ready to pick up that afternoon. I can't attest to value because I didn't check around but the service was excellent, prompt and professional. I have several friends who have used them for years so that gives me confidence related to value. I will use them again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Battery, Oil change

Broadway Imports has been taking good care of my vehicles for over 20 years. They are honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and dependable. Derek and Dan will take the time to talk about repairs and maintenance, fully explain any work that needs to be done, and never do work that isn t necessary. I trust them to do good work at a fair price and they have never let me down.

I bought an aged Honda CRV for my 16 yo daughter, and Broadway was so helpful to get the car checked out and gave me a very fair assessment of what was needed. They helped me at short notice on a couple of occasions with small repairs that fixed the problem immediately, without recommending non-urgent and superfluous repairs. The reviews here all speak for themselves, Broadway is differentiator as they won t gouge you with unneeded services versus the dealer. Great guys and honest work, take your business there. I'm new to Portland and my catalytic converter was stolen recently for the third time. My housemate uses Broadway Import Auto Service and recommended them to me for the repair. It was a lovely experience! Derek was super patient and empathetic and took the time to answer all my questions (I had a lot). He even gave me tips on how to work with my insurance better. I've been taking our vehicles to Broadway Import Auto Service for more than five years now for all of our maintenance. The team is friendly and I trust their recommendations. They've always been straightforward about what my vehicles need and haven't tried to oversell me on strange, unnecessary services. AC stopped working. They found the issue and it was an inexpensive repair. They checked other systems and found the air filter was in need of replacement as well as transmission fluid flush and refill. The pricing was great and the service was completed on the same day as drop off. I am so glad we tried them. They re now our go-to repair shop for our Honda. Thank you Derek! Broadway imports is beyond fabulous. I've been a customer for 12 years and I love them. Their work is excellent, I trust them completely, and they're easy to work with. They also have "extra" services that are really helpful. I buy used cars, and they will check them out for a modest fee. In addition, their mechanics periodically buy and fix up cars. I bought one of these cars - for a great price - and drove it for years. In summary, these guys are great, and I recommend them as highly as possible.

These guys are great. I called them with an emergency auto breakdown two days before the Thanksgiving holiday. Every other auto shop I called told me they were going to be at least two weeks out. As I do deliveries with my car I needed it back in action as soon as possible. Broadway import was very upfront saying they would do their best to get me in and out in just a day or so but it may take longer. Much to my surprise they called me the same day to tell me that figured out what the problem was and had parts on order for it and should be able to get it back to me the very next day. As promised they called me mid day and got it back to me at a lower price than I anticipated. They called out a couple other things that they saw wrong on the vehicle but did not try to upsell me or otherwise encourage me to do them. I very much appreciate the honest, courteous and professional service. I would highly recommend the shop and I will gladly use their services again when I need it.Service: General repairs & maintenance

At the vehicle s dealer I was given a list of recommended services totaling almost $2000, after paying almost $700 for plugs and valve timing at 100,000 mile service.The recommended seemed like too much, even for a 100,000 mile car so I found Broadway Import Auto on Google and took the car in to be inspected. For a $65 inspection fee I was told that none of the recommendations needed to be done, and he could not find any evidence of two of the problems cited. I have two Toyotas and have been working with Broadway Import for about five years and I am very satisfied. Derek and his crew are knowledgeable, efficient, fair, and never recommend work that does not need to be performed. They always call to get approval of work and the bill is fair. Plus, they are always good for a chat when you drop off or pick up, just the way a neighborhood business ought to be. I used to go to the dealership for service but now I go here. Dan (I think) at Broadway spend 30 minutes checking the voltage in my Honda Fit's battery and alternator and diagnosing why the battery had gone dead after just 2 days without use. This was a fast and reasonably priced repair. It was a wiper hose replacement (chewed through by rats). They did the repair in 1 hour. That s pretty good considering you ve got to remove the wheel and part of the bumper to get to the hose. Derek and his crew were great to work with and went the extra mile to make sure the used car we purchased was safe and ready to go. They also replaced the timing belt and the repair was done in the time he said it would and it came in less expensive than the original quote. He was super direct about any additional repairs needed and gave us a good idea of whether it was necessary or could be done later...definitely no unneeded upswell on anything. We finally feel like we have a trustworthy mechanic and shop! I would send all of my people to them.Service: General repairs & maintenance
