Easy to do business with. Tesla Model 3, minor damage to rear bumper. Their estimate was in the middle of the 3 estimates I obtained and they were the only company that genuinely seemed to want to help. Courtney was friendly and professional. Excellent communication. Savanah, at the front desk, was very efficient and happy. Repair is top notch so far as I can tell as an amateur.

The whole Bob Thomas CARSTAR team made a frustrating situation bearable. Karen and Savannah were kind with excellent communication. The process of getting our Tesla fixed took a long time but they never strung us along with unrealistic expectations. They took great care of our car and we appreciate Jeff and his team immensely.

Recently, my beloved Miata was hit in separate back-to-back incidents by a pair of SUVs. Right when the whole collision and body work industry is hamstrung by the same pandemic-induced supply chain and labor issues challenging so many other American industries. Not to mention my car and I were under a deadline for a racetrack event.The professional staff backing up the craftsmen in the shop were also challenged by the insurance nightmare of trying to juggle two claims that by turns involved 3 insurance policies. To keep the repairs on track, they innovated procedures on the fly to expedite the restoration process.As usual, Bob Thomas s crackerjack technicians went above and beyond to ensure my car came back to me in better condition than it was before my Unfortunate Close Automotive Encounters of the Worst Kind.Perhaps unfairly, I m only giving them 4 stars because I wound up having to take a rental sedan on the Sears Point track instead of my 2-seat sport car.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Body & Trim

Nice shop that s certified to service Tesla vehicles. After 3 years of owning my Y we were involved in an accident. Little did I know how difficult a small bumper issue would become. I started calling shops and as soon as I said Tesla they would completely refuse to work with us. I drove to Tesla and was given a list of shops that are certified in the portland area. I went down the list and started scheduling appraisals at every shop on that short list every single one was booked out 3-4 months for the appraisal! And they said the repairs would take place a couple months after because they had to order parts.Bob Thomas gave me an appt only 5 weeks after my call and when we arrived 2 hrs earlier because we didn t write the time of the appointment they were very flexible and took us in after about 20mins when the first employees started coming in. They sent us home with the appraisal and we are waiting for repairs soon.

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They made the experience really easy and gave me the confidence that my car would be well cared for. The time estimate for repairs was spot on and the car looks perfect.

So happy to see my car sparkling and whole again after my accident! I was stressed because I had no rental coverage left on my insurance but because I still had full coverage they lent me a free loaner car saving me hundreds if not over a thousand on Uber and Lyft! Plus they cleaned my very dirty car and detailed it, which I was not expecting (otherwise I wouldn t have given it to them so messy) and fixed the trunk that wasn t popping open which I don t even think was part of the accident. And Savannah at the front desk is just the sweetest, so good at her job! Amazing, I will definitely come back if I need any future car servicing!

I cannot recommend Bob Thomas enough. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, my vehicle looks factory-new and was returned cleaner than I left it! They were extremely communicative as well and as much as I hope I don't need repairs again, Bob Thomas is the first place I will call when that time comes!

The employees of Bob Thomas went above and beyond to get my car scheduled and finished. They are very customer-service oriented. The work was perfect. After repair, you can t see any evidence of the damage. Looks like new, and they coordinated well with State Farm insurance. A great experience!

Excellent service. They replaced my bumper and running light on my Toyota Camry in less than two weeks and washed and detailed my car before I picked it up. Thank you Noah, Karen and Savannah. You made my Christmas!

Courtney and Katie are the best. Made this whole process so easy for me. My vehicle got in an accident and I was taken care of in such a timely fashion with the best communication. My vehicle looks and drives great. Even better than before my accident. I would highly recommend CARSTAR and will continue to use them in the future!

I would recommend going to any other body shop. My experience with these people has been rough since the beginning.I have been on their waiting list to get my car serviced for over 6 months. They first categorized my car incorrectly. They keep telling me it will be next month over and over again.Now they will not even provide me with a written quote for the work. It is impossible to deal with these people. I would recommend going to a business with a little more customer appreciation than they have shown towards me.For a business that has dropped the ball several times and hasn t done anything for me they sure think highly of themselves.

Absolutely, fantastic service. By far, the best auto service experience I've ever had. Katie and team are phenomenal. I highly recommend.Update: 4.09.24 - Savannah and team go above and beyond to get you what you need. Their customer service gets 10s across the board, but in this case 5 stars. I continue to highly recommend.

They were great and they go the extra mile for their customers. There was a replaced part that went bad from a CARSTAR in Washington state post accident and after having moved to Portland, they were able to work with that Washington location and get them to pay for the replacement when Hyundai refused to. They get a gold star from me!

CarStar Bob Thomas provided excellent service, from providing an estimate through the day that repairs were completed (a few days ahead of schedule!). CarStar handled all the communication with my insurance company and provided me regular updates on the status of the repairs.The repairs were thorough and I am happy with the results. The staff and estimator were so kind and professional in handling my insurance claim. They explained the process while letting me know what they could commit to under my insurance policy protocol. They made the waiting period pleasant by being sensitive to my experience of an insurance total loss valuation. And explained what that meant. I didn't get a rental car, but they assist with that if I would've needed one. I would recommend them and I am grateful they had a space for me as they are very busy.

Both lady's at the front desk I delt with were absolutely Amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, and competent.They were extremely quick with getting me in on the fly and I really appreciate them.The Actual work done was Top Notch! The mirror looks amazing.The only issue with the company is JEFF the Estimator.I have Honestly never been verbally attacked in a place of business. Where I was coming to spend a few hundred dollars. But never the less there is Jeff. Rude, zero customer service skills. No hello, no good morning. Accused me of trying to commit insurance fraud? On my first trip. Like Really... but the office lady set him straight and explained he didnt hear our conversation right. Yet... No Apology. then on second trip harassed me about payment. As soon as he seen me he says ( Your paying for this right )No Jeff I'm giving you the keys to my truck in hopes you'll give them back once your finished so I can run out and run away in my company truck that we do business with you with... come on man work on treating people better!AND the only reason I spent the time to write this novel is because I work in customer service! And if I did this to a customer my company would immediately fire me. The is no excuse to be Rude. DO BETTER JEFF.

Came here because it was listed as a recommendation from State Farm. They originally told me my car was going to be 7k to repair. Made me wait over a month to get in there and then longer so they could order parts. Took the car in finally and was told by a woman that works there to not call and to email her because she doesn t respond to phone calls? Pretty strange customer service. I then heard nothing for over 3 weeks. I finally call them after hearing nothing and they tell me it s gonna be almost 15k to repair and it was actually a total loss. Took another week for them to send proper report to insurance to move along claim. They don t seem to have much concern for peoples time. Wasted mine.

Fantastic service start to finish. I d recommend them to everyone who needs body work done to their car. Super transparent about time, cost, and everything else associated with the repair, plus they had my rental car set up the day I dropped off my car. Not a bad thing to say. I suffered damages to my car due to another party s fault and Carstar was on the preferred list of shops with the liable party s insurance. The quality of the work is great I appreciate the care they took to repair my vehicle properly. My vehicle only had 10k miles on it, and they went to great lengths to make sure I got it back in the near-new state it was in prior to the damage. The staff was always super nice and responsive when I called.The only constructive criticism I would offer is that I would have liked to see more proactive communication from them. There were several unforeseen delays in the work (parts did not arrive as expected, etc) and they never reached out to me to give me an update. I had to resort to calling them every day to get status, and most times all they could tell me was well, we are still waiting on parts . I am a professional project manager, and that would never fly in my industry. There is no reasonable scenario where a project/repair has an infinite timeline. The insurance company didn t pay for my rental directly, so I was saddled with a bill and reimbursement process that didn t provide the luxury of a weeks long timeline.It would have been great to receive the daily call with an update rather than to have to take that on myself.Overall, I m happy with the work and the staff was great.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Can t recommend them highly enough. I m a repeat customer. They re ethical, and do great work. Brought my old CR-V in to get an estimate on repair to some water seal trim - they gave me the real world estimate to replace the trim, then did a *complimentary fix* that will do the job without replacement. This company is great. What impressed me the most was their attention to detail. In all my business with auto-body shops this was the first shop to detail my car. They vacuumed and polished up the interior and even took the time to organize the stuff in my trunk and put it in a nice box. My repair looks amazing. They even aligned my brand new tires. Communication however was spotty in terms of updates and it took two months to get my appointment and after a month my car was finally ready. I don t blame CARSTAR for this. I blame the current complications and delays associated with the pandemic. Overall Randy did an amazing job. If and when I need future work I will be returning to Bob Thomas for business.
