I am a former BMW tech, and I went with my friend at her request to pick up her car after a major repair job to listen to what the service advisor had to say. I was very unimpressed with this guy, he clearly seemed to want to talk to her and not me, someone who has knowledge of the repair process. My opinion is he was playing off her ignorance to make more sales. I asked very detailed questions about why certain repairs were charged to her, and not as part of the extended warranty repairs and he just gave us the runaround. Even the shop notes from the technician are basic and don't mention the necessity of the repairs. I asked if he could put that in the notes so we could attempt to reclaim those funds, and he was dismissive and said he already sent it off so he doesn't want to change it. This lack of detail will make it harder to actually claim the required repairs from the warranty company. Eventually he just ended the conversation by saying he has more customers to attend to without actually doing anything to fix the issues. I would not trust these people with my own vehicle after listening to him. 2 stars because the vehicle was fixed correctly.

Slimy. This is the stereotypical 'money grubbing service department at a dealership'. I've never been upsold so hard on unnecessary services before they even looked at my car. Tried to ask the service rep questions and he just kept parroting the same sales pitch. Appointments are hard to get and meaningless, they'll just tell you to leave your car regardless. Avoid if possible.

Consistently poor customer service. I came in today with an appointment and waited half an hour for a service rep to speak to me. One employee (older man with a white beard) looked me in the eye and ignored me when I said "Excuse me can someone check me in please". If this is the way you treat your customers, you don't deserve to have any.

Typical big name dealership. Brought my E60 in for a waterpump warranty issue as they replaced it less than 2 years ago and I was told there was a 2 year warranty. I explained that the waterpump turns on when commanded by scantool, but coolant doesn't circulate. Service advisor scheduled me and I had my car towed from 2 hours away. It took 4 days to diagnose, I was told that they will not honor warranty because there is oil on the pump. Just a poor way to do business. Clearly they have a steady stream of BMWs needing repair and don't care about customer satisfaction. If the pump failed because of oil contamination, it would effected the electrical motor. This motor audibly kicks on when commanded, thus leading me to believe it's a failed shaft or propeller. Long story short, I now owe $225 for the diagnosis, and I get to tow it 2 hours home. Sweet deal! Thanks bmw Typical stealership.**Update**My invoice states that the oil leak caused the coolant leak in the water pump. I'd love a physics lesson on how thats possible. Avoid this place at all costs. Warranty is a joke, and a scam.

This is my first visit to this service center, and I am trying to get them look at the window squeak issue I've been facing on a brand new SUV. As soon as I arrived a nice gentleman greeted me and walked me to the main service lobby. The experience so far has been positive until I met Chris. I gave two star because he failed to observe and fix the issue. I was disappointed when he said the technician failed to reproduce the squeaky noise despite the fact that it's reproducible every time. I offered myself to join the technician in an attempt to convince him of the issue, but I was turned away with a reason - 'We just drove your vehicle and we didn't hear the noise as described'. From there I'm convinced this service center isn't the one I should be sending my car for such service. There's no work statement issued and so I don't even have a record of what the actual diagnosis carried out. I'm pretty sure I won't be getting a survey from BMW regarding this service and so I decided to write this review.

Am so very disappointed. Took X5 in for recall wound up spending almost 2200.00 and the same problems are still happening. Not to mention my back up camera mysteriously stopped working my adviser was the worst. No communication. Will be looking for a new dealership.

My experience is not over a week later... and I am only receiving front break/rotor replacement and an auxiliary battery swap. Will update when I receive my vehicle back. Thank God they offer you a loaner vehicle and were willing to increase my mileage allotment from 50 miles a day. I use my car for work and being without it is a struggle. I may need to go back to a vehicle other then BMW that can be worked on in a more timely manner.

I really appreciate the help from BMW Portland! I was on a road trip from WA to Mt Hood and my tire was punctured by a nail. Even without an appointment, BMW Portland managed to replace the tire within 2 hours so that I could continue my trip! Thanks to Sean Riley and everyone in BMW Portland! You were my saver!!

Was quoted 250.00 for a ecu reprogram. Showed up at appt. Chris from service quoted me 1064.00 insane. Work turned out fine. Customer service was fair. Quoted a 6hr job for something I could have done in less than 1hr if I had the mapping program. Not a very fair business practice.

Just be ware, they are really expensive x2 to x3 market average, also they are pushy with extra services and give out misleading info. Also they take a long time to do your service. Tl:dr Very expensive and Slow.

I'm sure their service is fine, but they have no express service options. So if all you need is an oil change, you need to schedule ahead and leave your car all day.

Bad communication and expensive. BMW used be a good company but getting more expensive with more electronics problems and service isn't great.
