My transmission went out and they had a tow truck tow it for me and also gave me a good deal for break pads I needed as well. Everything was fairly priced and seems like they did a good job since the car now moves which it did not before. And a little advice for anyone thinking of buying a ford edge just drive the pos of a cliff right when you buy it and end your misery before it starts anyways that is all. I would recommend this place.

After buying an older Subaru from someone who lied about previous work that had been done on it (obviously was not aware at the time), my car died and I had to get it towed to the shop. They quickly got back to me saying that I blew a head gasket, in addition to needing a new water pump, timing belt, spark plugs, and front brake pads... all things I thought had already been done as preventative maintenance by the previous owner. I knew the head gasket alone would not be cheap, so was really nervous to hear the price to fix everything, but they worked with me to get a reasonable price for parts and labor. When I picked my car up, I found out that I also had a bad wheel bearing they replaced for free, and that one of the mechanics took my car for a longer distance test drive to ensure everything was working well. As soon as they started up my car and backed it out for me to leave, I could tell that my Outback's engine was happier and healthier. I couldn't recommend these guys enough, they're all very genuine and kind. Thank you so much once again! :)

Once again, Alpine Auto Repair went above and beyond in helping me with new tires for my Mercedes Benz!!!I am incredibly thankful, grateful and happy that I found Alpine Auto when I moved here a little over a year ago!!What a wonderful thing to have piece of mind whenever I need to have anything done on my car!!I will never go to any other repair shop!Hama is so courteous and easy to work with, and all the mechanics are great, especially the senior mechanic!Hama always gets me in quickly and the work gets done quickly as well!The prices are very reasonable and the work top notch!!I recommend Alpine Auto for all of your auto repairs and maintenance!Thank you Hama!!!

I visited three different garages but was unable to get a solution to my car's problems until I went to Alpine Auto Repair. The father-son family business was incredibly fast in identifying the issue and now my car is in better condition than ever. They maintain full transparency with their customers and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I took my wife's Prius C for repair of a tire we thought had a slow leak. After dropping it off, I recalled it was time for routine oil change/lube service, so I called. They added it to the service request, and got it done by the end of the day. Excellent service!

SAME DAY FIXA Friday night of November a deer had jumped in front of my car causing damage to the front right corner of my bumper. My cousin had recently taken his Audi to get worked done at Alpine auto repair and had expressed how satisfied he was with their job so I gave them a call that same night. Hama and his crew were able to squeeze me in their schedule the upcoming Monday to be quoted. He gave me a fair quote, saving me money in my pockets and said he s give me a call once the part had come in the shop. Since I was going to be wrapping my car anyway, I did not require him to paint the bumper white. Wednesday morning came and the new bumper was ready to be installed, I dropped my car off at 7am and was ready by 2pm. Hama and his crew carried out this job professionally and in a timely manner.In no doubt I knew that I had left my car in greats hands!Service: Body & Trim

Minus 5 stars for being unreasonable when I asked to have a conversation with the owner about a reasonable request that I had about making an alternative payment arrangement for services. Because they refused outright despite ample evidence that I can and will pay, and me being an honest and trustworthy member of our neighborhood communities, I dug in my heels a bit to try to get them to get the owner on the phone so that I could discuss things with him. This was perceived as unacceptable from them, and so they escalated it to the point of refusing to take my payment, impounding my car behind a barbed wire locked gate, lying to me and the police numerous times about one of them being the owner/not being the owner, forcing me to delete videos I took (permanently from servers as well) to ensure my safety, threatening to sue me, and calling the police on me. Having remained calm throughout most of this while they became increasingly aggressive and loud, I welcomed the police who immediately understood the situation and my attempts to communicate with the owner, de-escalated, helped me by getting the workers to allow me to finish the transaction without further harassment over my reasonable attempt to conduct business in a way they didn't understand (aka while being a woman who wouldn't bow to their vindictive authoritarian approach to doing business). Plus one star for the initial experience where they gave me a loaner car for the day while the service was getting done. Minus one star for the intense level of rudeness and disdain that I experienced there.

Fast, fair and affordable! The service was great. Was informed about problem, cost and time frame of repair needed. True to their word was done in time they said and cost was exactly what they quoted me. No surprises here. Just good quality service all around. Recommended 10/10. Thanks Hama!

Boo. It s really a Zero. Having high respect for mechanics, as my father was a mechanic and owned a family-run auto parts business, I offer my experience with the new owner/s. Several months ago I took my old car into this convenient neighborhood auto shop. My daughter also lives in the neighborhood and had taken her car there with the old owners (at least they were pleasant, so now she s done with the new owner s too)! I needed an assessment of necessary repairs to sell my old car to find out if repair costs out-weighted benefits. Repair costs were too high for the return for me. The mechanic knew why I was having the assessment, and I paid for his time. He was outright rude when I told him I wouldn t be doing the repairs. I understand wanting the repair business, but his attitude needs an overhaul! When I need work done on my shiny new car, it won t be there, no matter the convience. I ve asked them for air in my tires a few times over the past couple years and he was equally as rude (I have severe back and knee issues, and as a result, am considered disabled and await surgery, so self-serve is extremely difficult for me). My tire pressure sensor went on yesterday, so today in my new car, I stopped for air he was equally as rude and wanted $5.00 to do it. $5.00 wasn t the issue, it was his rude attitude. I would have waited or returned at a time convenient for him. I then drove to the Chevron on 17th & McLaughlin to do self-serve where an attendant standing nearby, quickly came to my window and cheerfully asked if he could air my tires. If you re a service station and can t take time out to air customer tires, I understand but get an air pump outside for the customers you make your money from and be kind. If he had offered, I would have waited or gone back at a more convenient time for him.

Great, fast and friendly service. I brought my F250 in for a Synthetic oil change and they were busy with several cars, but they still got my truck finished quickly and cost less than anyone else around. Poor customer service. Extremely rude owner. We arrive at 9:30am for our set appointment time, they tell us it will be 30 minutes for the oil change. We go on a 45 minute walk and return and the car hasn t even been touched. The guy then has an attitude and refuses to service our car because we asked why it had not been taken back. Extremely shady location, poor customer setvice, and the owner has a childish attitude.

They were able to get me in super fast for an appointment when I had desperately needed one. They are honest, fair and really great people! Outstanding service at a honest and very reasonable price. Helped us get our Air Conditioning back in service in the middle of a cross country move in July. If we lived in the area I would use Alpine Auto again for anything needed on our car!

Do not take your vehicles anywhere else but here. I recently bought a lemon from PDX Motor Cars in Beaverton. In less than a year my engine started making a loud noises. The dealership gave me the run around. Luckily I decided to take a chance on these guys. They walked me through everything that was wrong with my 2011 Subaru Forester. Ended up ordering a rebuilt engine. Being that this was my first vehicle purchased from a dealership and having the dealership take advantage I was skeptical at first. They took their time to reassure me everything would be fine. Even fixed my brake pads that the dealership mechanic installed wrong. My Subaru has NEVER driven this well. It sounds great, drives great, I am a loyal customer now. It s been a couple months now and drives like new. These guys are the best in PortlandServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Battery

What a gem! My Subaru Outback broke down and after being incredibly unsatisfied with the two dealerships I have visited in the Portland area since moving here, I looked up where I should take my car to and saw that this place had really great reviews. When I called initially, I explained to Hama what was happening with my car and he knew exactly what was wrong with it! Once my car was at his shop, I asked if he could also change the oil but he said let's focus on the valve body first, which made me feel confident that he was going to work on getting my car running again first, instead of telling me everything that was wrong with my car. Hama was upfront about how much the repair would cost with labor from the beginning so I was not surprised at all when I came to pick up the car with any extra charges. While he did let me know that there were a few things that will need attention in the future, he said that it would be about $600 to fix, a stark contrast to the $10,000 a certain dealer quoted me. I drove my car home yesterday and it drove better than ever! I will absolutely be taking my car back here for maintenance!Service: Transmission

Five million stars. Everyone who works here was very kind to me right off the bat, which as a woman and especially woman of color is difficult to come by with mechanics around here. Happy to support POC mechanics too. As long as they handled the car well, and did they? Absolutely. Alpine diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and replaced the fuel pump unit, and my car was back within four business days. Would have been fewer if the manufacturers had sent the right part first! And they communicated about that with me too. Lastly, I brought my car in slightly after they closed on a Saturday and they were not only relaxed about it but still around and ready for it when I arrived in my tow. Thank you so much Hama and Baber (?) for your service, much appreciated, 1000% recommend

After insurance totaled out my car Alpine took on the challenge of not only fully fixing my car for significantly less that other shops but also was willing to install aftermarket parts to improve my car. I drove to Seaside, Oregon from Vancouver, BC and the next day my truck would not accelerate and the engine light was on. I got it towed to a mechanic in Seaside and they replaced the throttle body.A couple of days later I drove to Portland from Seaside and had the same issue with my truck. I got it towed to Alpine Auto Repair and they diagnosed and solved the issue before I had to return to Vancouver two days later.Alpine Auto Repair was able to diagnose and solve the issue in a day while all other auto repair shops that I called in Portland had no availability for 2 to 3 weeks.They saved me money, time, and a family trip. Hama was great to deal with and would recommend this shop to anyone. I would give this shop 10 stars if I could.

Old Toyota Corolla was making more noise than usual and was running sluggishly; took it to our regular shop who told us that it's just a natural progression for "sludge engines."The engine light came on one day, and unsatisfied with the old assessment, I checked for other shops around, saw Alpine's positive reviews, and was able to have the car seen early the next day. Hama was quick with his diagnostic, was clear and forthright about the cost and timeframe, and when the check engine light lit up again, they prioritized getting my car in and out to replace the O2 sensor.
