If you are looking for a shop to build you an absolute terrible transmission that only lasts 1 week that is the shop for you. I paid $5,000 for a transmission and it lasted 1 week. Then they said they would need to make payments to me if I wanted a refund. I never saw a penny of that refund. 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

The pictures are of my oil pan 6 months after a $2100 full transmission rebuild by Jim.When I called I spoke to Jim and he claims he can't find my repair order and won't look at it unless I can come up with the repair order.Even though I called back and provided bank statements of receipts from me paying for the transmission rebuild he still refuses to honor the warranty.Pete's certified transmission will leave you stranded.Jim sounds like a nice guy when he's diagnosing your vehicle and trying to get money out of you but he's a crooked mechanic. Go somewhere else.Service: Transmission

My experience with Pete's is outstanding! Jim bought the business from Pete and the service is very professional and thorough. I would recommend this shop for transmission work and general mechanical repairs. The don't let the rough look of the building turn you away. This shop is honest and will do the job right! Their head mechanic is a master mechanic with high integrity and skill.

This place is top notch! In today's market its very hard to find a honest person in this industry. These guys were upfront and direct. I was amazed at the knowledge Jim had. Not only was he able to get me back on the road the same day but he also went out of his way to make sure to answer every question I had. I had a few questions on performance upgrades and he explained the weaker parts of this transmission and why those upgrades were not needed but recommended correcting a few common failure points. Sure enough a quick Google search showed he was correct. Its nice to find someone both knowledgeable and honest for a change! I will be recommending them to anyone with a transmission issue from now on! Thanks again for the great work!

Honest friendly owner..provides knowledgeable advice...gives you repair options ...work completed promptly at a reasonable cost. The ONLY general auto shop I would touch my 4runner, Tundra and Dodge van. They have capable staff and equipment to diagnose and complete much broader work than just transmission repair.

My wife and I were on vacation driving south through Oregon on I-5 down from our home in Alaska in late April, 2012. We had just passed through the Medford area when we heard terrible noises and felt thumping under our Chevrolet Suburban, which we were towing a 17 foot camping trailer with. After getting the truck off the side of the interstate, we located Pete's Transmission Services in Phoenix as the closest shop. We called and a tow truck was quickly dispatched to bring in our truck and camper.Once at Pete's, we were treated with extraordinary courtesy and given great attention. Our repair was fairly complicated- essentially the transmission had locked up internally, blown apart the rear end of the case, and caused our driveshaft to twist off right behind the front U-joint. There was also damage to gas lines and the gas tank was knocked out of its mounting straps. Ultimately the repairs took six days to complete, a large portion of which was spent waiting on parts. Pete's never overpromised as to the time the repairs would be completed and, as the days went by, stayed in close touch with us as to the status of the work that was underway. The owner and employees were also helpful in getting our camper to a delightful local campground in Eureka: Holiday RV Park, and transported us to and from the shop several times. When we took off after the repair was was completed, we felt like the truck had been thoroughly checked out and that we didn't have to worry about any surprises. That has proved to be the case, as the remainder of our 15,000 mile trip went by without incident, and the repaired transmission has continued to work as if the truck was new.We would recommend Pete's to anyone needing a major transmission repair without hesitation. We were charged a fair price for the work done, and felt after it was all said and done that we had new friends in southern Oregon.

Just visited the shop and had such a wonderful experience. Super kind and honest owner who did a free diagnosis, including riding around in the car with me to assess the problem. He took his time asking me all the important questions and when it came down to it, said he didn't think I had a transmission problem after all! I would recommend this shop to anyone!

My dad went there with some transmission problems. The guy said "you're gonna need a new transmission" my dad asked how much that would be and the guy said around 2,000.My dad paid less for the car and turned him down.My dad then changed the transmission filter and fluid and his car ran like new.Maybe the guy didn't know what he was talking about, or maybe just trying to hustle my pops.

I am very thankful to Petes Transmission for checking my transmission issues. I was traveling on Interstate 5 and suddenly my car stopped due to transmission issues. Petes Transmission is the only company in that area that told me to come in for a check, even though they had many clients to work on. I would recommend Petes Transmission to everyone. They have the fastest service and best customer service. Thank you James and Jim. GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Honest. Which is everything when it comes to the automotive industry. Little slow on the work time, but when they missed a fix they should've seen, they honored the repairs @ cost/no labor. That's winning.
