Great park, incredible location, friendly staff.Miles of beach are just across the street from the resort. A number of dining options even closer than the beach including upscale, Pelican Brewery (the original!) and a pizza place that's great for picking up to bring back to the RV.The marketplace next door has a good bit of space devoted to RV essentials as well as a good variety of food options including fresh a fish counter with fresh crab, etc.And most essential for a visitor from Seattle, there is a great local coffee place.10/10Do recommend. Will go back.Walkability: With so many dining options nearby we never needed to drive anywhere.Walkability: A+

Honestly very disappointed with front desk. They do not care and I feel could use some real customer support training! Policy just switched to min of 2 nights as of 3/1 and they had NO interest in renting to us for just tonight, even though it appears there is PLENTY of availability, AND I Shared w them that I was there to scope it out for our 100 member wedding party in Sept.

I want to post a wonderful review of this place, but we had a pretty disappointing experience. We originally decided to stay because they have an indoor pool. We were very excited about that so we paid the $115 for our spot and did enjoy the pool that evening. In the morning we wanted to have one more swim before checkout at 11. So we searched the paper we had been given as well as their website for pool hours. We couldn t find them but we saw that the attached store opened at 8 so we assumed the pool probably did too. Gathered our swim gear and kiddos and headed for one last swim. When we got there they had some sort of exercise swim going on and we would not be allowed to swim till 11, check out time. Needless to say we were a bit annoyed and the kids were very disappointed. We requested a partial refund since we believe that there was definitely some false advertisement going on. The attendant would only reimburse $10 of the over $100 we paid. Better than nothing I guess but we won t be back. Need some work on customer skills for sure- and clearly posted pool hours- Not just on the pool door!

What exactly happened to Cape Kiwanda RV resort? It use to be our favorite place. Now it's so expensive and you don't get the same experience. The pool wasn't even open when we got there and we were not even told that it wasn't then we were out of electricity for hours and no refund.

We love coming here each summer. The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, and the kids' park is fantastic. Our only gripe was the washrooms/ showers. They were filthy, empty of toilet paper, and soap. We were very disappointed by the state of the washrooms and are hopeful it was a staffing issue and that it will be better next year.Walkability: Minutes away from the beach.

Nice place, we've been going for years, my husband's family even longer.. the rv got new owner I heard.. took out a volleyball court and put in a mini golf course which was nice we loved it! But the worst part was the bathrooms and the lack of service and cleaning! We were there for 4 nights and not once was it cleaned.. stalls ran out of toilet paper and paper towel dispensers too.. they came and restocked it once.. then put a wet floor sign in the bathroom and didn't bother moping it up.. the showers were gross and weren't draining well. Really disappointed with the resort how little they care to maintain the restrooms.

We've just spent three days at the Cape Kiwanda RV Park in Pacific City, Oregon. The location is beautiful with the beach just across the highway and wonderful shops and food nearby. Our little Boston Terrier couldn't have been happier with so much to see and explore. Our experience at the park, however, was not what we expected, considering the cost. When we arrived at our space, we could not see the utility pedestal. My husband got out to try to find the pedestal and the neighbors, who were seated in chairs right next to their RV, kindly got up to reveal that the pedestal for our space was smack dab in the middle of their very narrow "yard." They kindly moved their chairs and explained that they had faced the same situation with their neighbors at the adjoining space when they arrived. The RV spaces on our row were very narrow, and having the pedestals in the middle of the "yards" rather than to the side (as we've found in every camp we've ever stayed in) splits the spaces in a most awkward manner. To make it worse, the electrical outlets are positioned so close to the ground, we were unable to use our power monitor/surge protector and had to just plug straight into the camp electricity with no protection. The neighbors expressed the same frustration, so it wasn't just our hookup.Another oddity was a deep round hole in the middle of our "yard" that had been filled with sand - bizarre! We didn't see this at any other site and have no idea what that was all about. There were sites in different rows that seemed to be set up better than ours, so it may be that it was just a bad draw for us.I was also disappointed to discover that the spa I was looking forward to soaking in was out of order during our visit. But on the bright side, the location is beautiful and the wifi was terrific. We enjoyed seeing so many families BBQing and enjoying the nice, cool weather. The Oregon coast is a beautiful place to be in the summer and Cape Kiwanda is absolutely gorgeous.

My family and I visited over spring break. The staff here was really kind and friendly. The park is very well maintained, the pool is in good condition, and everything is very clean. We had a really comfortable stay in a place that had a nice family atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in RV parks up and down the Oregon coast and many other states, and this was one of the more expensive places we have stayed. This park seems to be poorly managed, with the new owners. Our site was covered in chunks of toilet paper from somebody s hose, popping off of the sewer, connection, there were several pieces of garbage in our site and blowing around the park. We did see several staff members drive by our site on golf carts but we never witnessed them enforcing any of the rules or taking care of any of the garbage or dirty sites.

My family and I just got back from the RV resort for the week of Thanksgiving (weather was fabulous minus one storm that we used to swim at the indoor pool/hot tub). This is our 3rd time staying here, first time with access to the pool and new ownership. The location and amenities nearby are amazing. There is a market/grocery store at the entrance of the RV resort, plus a coffee shop, pizza place and three other restaurants. And the ocean is literally across the street with a sandy beach for miles and only 5-10 min walk to the sand dunes and rocks/caves for exploring tide pools at low tide. You can also walk up the mountain/woods behind the camp sites and see an amazing view of the beach. The bathrooms and shower onsite are fine, def wear shower shoes, but they are kept clean, just older. The showers at the entrance are barely lukewarm and I m told by another camper this is an ongoing issue. The one very annoying con is the Wifi. It just completely kicks you off and disappears at times, not even showing up in available networks. Makes me wonder if they shut it down if too many people are accessing it? But the RV resort was maybe 15-20% occupied during our stay. I think the best spots are around the playground/volleyball court, especially during the summer. We will be back because even after 3 different week long trips there is so much to explore in Pacific City and the towns around here.

We have been coming to this rv park for years. Apparently it has changed ownership and it appears to have gone right down hill.Non existent wifi, took over an hour to get this page open.Sadly we had to book for two days.Cable for hook up is so badly corroded, it does not work. ESP for the evenings like tonight that are wet and cool. Will make sure to take this place off our trip list and stop passing it on to others to stop at.

Really loved this place, but went to book a fall weekend and it's cheaper for us to stay at a hotel when you consider fuel prices. California prices on a small town of Oregon coast. I understand things cost more, but $125 a night is insane. I hope the new owners reflect on their new investment and what made it one of the best private campgrounds in Oregon, because at these rates I better get T1 internet and free continental breakfast. Camping doesn't need room service, I hope y'all reconsider these boneheaded moves.

Made reservations in Nov 21 for Aug of 22 price quoted was higher than price paid. Very helpful employees. Park was clean and well maintained. Very close to beach access and the bunnies were a favorite of the grandkids. We would definitely go again. 5 stars from us

Literally every phone number I tried to call did not work. Luckily someone was there when we got there around 5. People who work here seem nice I just wish I could have a way to call. Nobody was there at the little hut when we tried to check out at 8am but luckily we caught an employee.Pretty nice place to stay great location you need to bring your own sheets and you need to bring your own towel so it was a cold night and there is heat in the cabin but there was no AC so on a hot day you probably just use a ceiling fan. It cute and close to the beach. Good showers and bathroom in the cabin.

Great place to stay on the Oregon coast. They have RV and tent spaces, a variety of cabins, an indoor pool right across the street from a beautiful beach. For me importantly they are dog friendly and my granddaughter loves the playground. Across the street right on the beach is a great restaurant brew pub.

The visit was TERRIBLE!!! I made the reservation months in advance. I reserved 5 cabins. When doing so I specifically asked for them to all be together because it was a family/friends get together. They assured me they would all be together. When we arrived they said again yes all your cabins are together. We were spread out all over the place. The staff was rude with us and snapping at each other about paperwork instead of focusing on getting us checked in. The "bed" was nothing more than a VERY tired futon. My back is still aching from that "mattress". I am more comfortable after a tent camping trip with my bed roll on the ground. The bathroom had a cleaning checklist that was signed by the cleaning crew every few hours but yet somehow one of the two toilets stayed clogged and overflowing with feces for a day and a half during our 3 day weekend. The water main was broken and took several hours to fix. Of course things like this are out of anyone's control but it just added to a level of discomfort during our stay. The playground area was littered with trash. I have already stated it but I just want to point out again for emphasis that the staff was just dismissive and rude at every turn. Except for a maintenance man that was in the golf cart. He was polite when we asked about the lack of running water for showers, bathrooms and the like. I STRONGLY recommend that if you are reading this review that you rethink your choice of staying here. The last time we did an Oregon beach trip. We rented a huge beach house that was ON the beach not a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach for less money than the cabins cost us for the weekend. I definitely will NOT be back to this location EVER again. Stay here at your own risk.

Fantastic! We Keep Coming Back!My Family stays here every year; often more than once. The amenities and location are amazing; convenient, fun. Walking Distance to Beach, Dunes, Restaurants, Pub, Market on Site, Pool, Great Playground. But the people make it the best. Absolutely great staff that actually care and do what they can to help make the stay fantastic. We love this place and will keep coming back again and again!

Unfortunately the new owners are running this place into the ground. My family has enjoyed coming here for the past few years. After quoting us a price for a cabin during Spring Break, 5 days before our trip we were emailed a price increase of an additional $103 per day. After calling them to inquire about this bait and switch tactic, we were informed there is new ownership now.We cancelled our reservation due to the unethical price increase. Not the best way to run a business, but a great way to lose money and customers!

We love this place! Cape Kiwanda is our favorite little beach town in Oregon. The RV park is directly across the street from the public beach. The location is AMAZING. After seeing how hard it was for people to find parking, and then walk along the highway (with no shoulder) with all their beach gear and kids, I was so grateful we were staying at the RV park. No hassle with the parking or access. It is simply fantastic. The shop/store has a deli counter, a fudge shop, ice cream, beer/wine and the store is well stocked. Everyone was very kind and super helpful. This is our new 'summer' place. There are several great places literally next door to the RV Park- a coffee shop, a taco/burrito stand, the pizza place, and the brewery. It is the best summer vacation we've had in years.

My family has been coming to Cape Kiwandee RV for over 25 years. I reserved 6 sites on 10/25/2021 for a week in June. I received a call less than a month prior to our vacation stating the prices had increased. For the 6 spots the increase was $3100. There was no negotiating as well as no time to find another place to stay. We supported this place through the pandemic when there was no pool or playground by still coming to stay. I was told there were improvements to the cabins by adding 2 bikes and a barbecue. I could buy a lot of bikes and barbecues for $3k. The new owners have a monopoly on Cape Kiwandee nowso they can charge whatever price they want. It is sad to see a family tradition of ours end. Needless to say, we cancelled all 6 reservations and our family is now without a summer vacation.

Booked spring break vacation. In January. One week before arrival I get an email that the rates have increased by $30 dollars a night. New owners will not honor previous rates. This is BS. Plus their pool needs a heater parts that they are waiting on. So noPool and raised rates a week before arrival. Needless to say I canceled my reservations. I have heard others are doing the same. Don t stay here.

The Campground is nice and waking distance to the beach. The bathrooms were not cleaned and stocked regularly, but we would stay here again. There are some small tree stumps that need to be removed.

2 years ago - Great place. Don't go there though. It is getting too popular.Update, just spent a week there. New owners apparently. They quote you a price when you book the stay and then a month or so before you go, they raise the price. The park has actually gone down hill, the grass is dead or its just dirt, apparently they don't use the sprinklers anymore, so when it rains, your site is muddy. The best part is when checking in, there is a grumpy lady working the booth that is not pleasant at all. they let some people check in before 2pm but not others. Weird. Will not be coming back after many years staying here. RV spot $89 per night..

Nice location. Nice beach. Customer service is awful, construction going on the entire time we were here, RIGHT NEXT to us. Outside of the insane noise, NOT safe for kids in any way with the equipment, construction workers walking through our site. Called into customer service to ask if they knew about it ahead of time - they did with no heads up, lied to me outright and then kindly told us to screw off, no compensation whatsoever.Don t waste your money, or your time here. Worst management I ve ever seen.

This place used to be great until the new owners raised the prices. Booked a family reunion in October for June called us in April to let us know that they were raising the prices, almost 1000 dollars more for the entire week per family. Completely absurd. We stay every year for the last 10 years or more. They have lost our business and it s sad because I grew up going here.
