Checkpoint Motors was absolutely awesome! I had some last minute/late notice repairs that I needed done before going on a road trip and the team there was able to get what I needed done in an extremely timely fashion! I greatly appreciate them and all their hard work. I will definitely be back and I recommend everyone to take their cars there for repairs! Thanks again to the team at Checkpoint Motors!

My first experience at Checkpoint motors was beyond exceptional. I was greeted with a friendly staff and treated as if I'd been a longtime customer. The staff here are very knowledgeable and were extremely easy to work with and around. They really helped me out and have made an irreplaceable first impression. I will continue to come here and refer everyone here. I implore anyone having vehicle trouble to come to Checkpoint motors. Fantastic!

Anytime I have my vehicle serviced with this team of people. The ONLY thing that I need to do is just GET IN & GO. There is no guess work and I know they take care of everything. Your peace of mind is quickly restored and back to business as usual and worth every penny! Thanks a lotGreat job

These guys really are the best. I wouldn't trust my vehicle with anyone else. They take pride in their work, genuinely care about their customers and it shows!I always appreciate that they take the time to explain not only what repairs are needed, but also why they are needed. This is specifically helpful to people who may not have a strong industry knowledge, to gain an understanding of the vehicle systems and what and why the they need to be replaced or repaired.Additionally, they explain the importance of proper vehicle maintenance and help you make a plan to prioritize your vehicle service recommendations. Took my daughters car in cause the brakes someone installed were installed incorrectly. (Drum) they fixed them and charged a fair price. Also installed set of swaybar end links at very reasonable price! Good to know there are a few good shops around still. Was quoted 160 bucks at another shop just to LOOK at brakes so thanks guys at checkpoint ya did me a solid and made my daughters car much safer!

I finally found a place that I feel I can really trust. And the customer service is great!I always took my car to the Toyota Dealership, but I always felt they were trying to sell me things I really didn t need. I will certainly be bringing my car back and will be telling my friends and family about them.

The guys at Checkpoint Motors are amazing! Brandon was the mechanic that helped me out with fixing my car (I had a check engine light with a error code P2422). He was very thorough and walked me through the process of fixing my evap system twice (two parts were worn out) over a period of almost two months while keeping the costs within my budget. He made sure to check everything before making the recommendations on which parts to fix and was able to have my car completely fixed before I had to take it in to DEQ for new tags. I'm definitely returning to Checkpoint Motors again and highly recommend this business!

Incredible work, Fair price, Honesty, timely delivery of vehicle and great customer service are all the traits of this shop. I don t do reviews much but I feel compelled to let the world know how much respect and appreciation I have for the team here at checkpoint motors. Single mom here sharing my experience at Checkpoint in Oregon City! I've been bringing my Ford Escape in for years and they have never let me down. They are priced fairly, they educate me on what needs to be done and they truly care! My top priority is having a safe car for my girls and they give me just that. Thank you everyone at the shop. I was having an issue with my car and stopped by checkpoint to schedule an appointment. I described the issue and they told me to just bring the car in first thing Monday morning. They checked the car and found the problem. They always treat customers as if they are family and I for one can attest to the care and attention they give.

Received a quote to replace the alternator on my 2006 Ford Escape. Quoted 8 hours plus required to replace with a new alternator sourced from the dealer. Quoted cost $1600.Received a quote from another shop in town. Quoted 3 hours, and I could supply my own new aftermarket alternator. Had this shop do the work. Total bill at completion was $390.

My 30-year-old factory ball joints were about as shot as shot can get. After calling several different shops for quotes I was coming to terms with the unsettling fact that it would cost not just an arm, but in fact my leg as well. Checkpoint Motors follows up with me in a text with a quote some 40% less than most others AND that they could get me in in a couple days and out same day. While it actually took them two days, it's because they went above and beyond and called in their welder guy to blowtorch the BEYOND seized fittings out! They didn't even charge me extra for added (extremely difficult) work. I really can't say enough about these guys. Great job and thank you. I'll refer anyone needing work to y'all.

The car was towed to the shop after hours. Gordon worked it into the schedule the next day. He was very responsive and thorough in the diagnosis and explanation of the mechanical issues. I've had great work done here. They always let me know what needs done in understandable terms, and get my ok before doing it. Also, I'm usually surprised about how much the cost of service is. For example, I have a rough idea of how much it'll cost (from a history of previous service at other shops) and it's MOST OFTEN TIMES lower than I expect. I ve been a customer at Checkpoint Motors since 2013. I keep coming back because of their customer care and integrity. I have always found Gordon and his team to be honest and straightforward diagnosing the issues and costs for repairs on my older model Vehicle. Last week my car needed some major repairs to prevent a catastrophic failure. Gordon explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. Checkpoint had me and my car back on the road in a timely manner. As a single woman, Checkpoint Motors is a valuable resource for me. This most current repair, I mentioned my wiper fluid reservoir was badly leaking, not holding fluid. This was causing a safety issue. When I picked up my car, I was told the wiper fluid system was working with no problem. I have a sneaking suspicion the reservoir and or hoses was replaced but I was not charged for it. :) This is just one example of the extra mile by Checkpoint Motors I have experienced throughout 10 years of doing business with them. Thanks to Checkpoint, I m a satisfied customer.

They are very professional and honest and don t try to upswell things you don t need. They give you a list of what needs to be done and the urgency and they let you decide. No pressure. Have already recommended them to a couple people

You can t go wrong with Checkpoint! My truck was ready when Gordie said it would with all work completed to the highest standards. He was clear with his description of the work performed and it cost what was quoted. Prices are very fair.
