Corrected reviewI would like to add when you book communication/text message was great before you arrive you do receive the text for the lock box but After having stayed 2 nights, here is my review. The cabins are run down the property is unkempt I feel they are only using the cabins until they are ripped down to build a new place The office is remote, they mentioned to call them. If you need anything, you have no cell service at the cabins, and you cannot text so you have to look for cell service if you are gonna call them. Also they mentioned some one is their at the office at 10 until 3 no one was. they also mentioned a housekeeper was there or around no one was any where. Here is my final honest recommendation is that you should look elsewhere for a place to stay you can always travel to the ocean. (I have added some other pictures from my stay. Also I wish I would have read a prior reviews about the Accommodations. When I stayed the Cabins the Blue Agate Cafe was closed the two days I was there. Also Roseanna's Cafe was closed it was opened the final day before I left. I would just say plan ahead. For food etc.Food & drinks: When I stayed the Cabins the Blue Agate Cafe was closed the two days I was there. Also Roseanna's Cafe was closed it was opened the final day before I left

We have been coming to these cabins for years! So disappointed in the quality now. When they were bought out a couple years ago, we were wary. But Joe was a FABULOUS host. Not only is he no longer there, but there is no on-site host. There s nobody to greet you, to answer questions, to help with any potential issues. There is a number to call, but there s no cell service! The days we were there, the supposed staff that was scheduled from 10:00-3:00 only stayed for an hour or two hours the days we were there. I was highly irritated that one of our credit cards was ran in the morning of our arrival without checking if it was the correct card to use. Also did not receive an email receipt. The cabin was not as clean as usual. The front porch was completely covered in sand, which we swept to one corner. The dumpsters were full and dirty on the outside. I ve never seen the grounds so neglected Although this has been our very favorite place to visit, we re sad and reluctant to schedule again. BRING BACK JOE!!! He was a huge asset!

Over 2022 and 2023, we stayed at the cabins 11 times. We came back because of the view and the on-site manager Joe (who isn't there any longer). Each time we visited, we noticed one more thing that was going downhill or broken. Our final visit was in May of 2023. The towels continued to get ratty, the front burner on the stove in 18 never worked over two years time, the front window cracked, the mattresses need replaced, etc. Our final straw was upon checking in for that May visit we were informed that the freezer in cabin 18 was no longer working. It had been out for several days with no replacement in sight. We came to go crabbing. The freezer was very much needed. In the evening of the first night, the fridge started smoking and putting a bad smell into the room. We had to unplug it. The next morning, we left even though we were supposed to be there 2 more nights. Joe told us it was replaced a day after we left. It had been out several days before we arrived. It should have been replaced immediately! We were told over and over that the buildings were to be torn down and replaced eventually. That's no excuse to let everything go. We had to fight through our credit card company to get our money back for that final stay. A refund was requested through management but it didn't come through. It should have been refunded immediately! What if we had been asleep when the fridge started smoking? We won't be back. Don't waste your time staying here unless you're willing to accept run down, not working conditions. It's absolutely not worth the price they are asking for a stay!Edit in response to owner:Yes, Joe was still there in May. I didn't say he wasn't. Upon check-in, Joe told us the freezer in cabin 18 wasn't working and hadn't been for 2 days. We should have been told BEFORE we left our house for this stay. We did not report the issue. It was already in existence. It was not replaced until AFTER we left (because it started smoking.) The comment about the cabins appearing outdated at times is ridiculous. Outdated means the coolers 3 are from the 70's. These cabins are sliding down the hill and falling apart. Things are broken and don't work.

Joe the General Manager is absolutely the most wonderful person. He handles everything and the Cabins are spotless! They have everything in them that you need.My husband's family used to own these Cabins and my husband had an Espresso shop there as well. We were treated like royalty! We spoke with other renters and they too had nothing but good things to say about their stay and about Joe.The restaurant there now has amazing food and the family that runs it are wonderful people. We highly recommend staying here an we will be back.We are so glad we stopped just for a look and wound up getting to stay. That was an extra bonus!

We were able to get a room last minute. It has been awhile since we have stayed at the cabins - about 2 years ago. We have been coming here for years. We love the location and the quaint town of Oceanside. The cabins are old but have personality. We are so impressed with how clean it was as well as how great the new management is - Joe is awesome! His customer service is outstanding. This place is so much better now. I hope the new owners and Joe stay.I gave 4 stars because the cabins are really old and could be updated--5 stars for the location and management

Super cute little room, literally steps to the beach, free parking and exceptionally clean! My only complaint is that there is no door to the toilet (save for a shower curtain).Noteworthy details: Exceptionally clean! Bathroom, kitchenette, floors, were spotless.

Cute basic place with a very good staff managing the place. He made the check in very simple as we showed up late. Oceanside is nice and remote town with picturesque beaches. Check out tunnel beach. Very basic accommodations but nice to have 2 bedrooms and the restaurant next door does a great breakfast. I loved the crab cakes and eggs!!

Amazing place to be! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the location couldn't be more ideal, and the cabins are so cozy! Well furnished, some have tiny kitchens, and the cabins are pet friendly! After years of saying "We'll stay there sometime", finally did it, and we'll never stay in any other place. Truly wonderful, love these cabins.

These were the cutest cabins I've been in a long time, can't get any closer to the beach and the view is beautiful. Service was wonderful, even when off duty the manager was still available if needed. Cabins clean and kitchenette stocked with everything we needed except our food. It all made for a cozy, relaxing getaway from the rest of the world.Thank you so much Joe! You made it what it was.

We chose this due to the state park yurts being closed, so in comparison an upgrade. We liked that the keys were in it an open for our use as soon as they had it cleaned. Our biggest joy was the huge front porches. They stayed dry even with significant rain all day.It was very kid friendly, the porch was mostly enclosed, there was nothing to break or knock over in the cabin which added to our feeling of peacefulness while we were there. The beach is so close making it is easy to come in, eat snacks, warm up and dry off.The beds are sturdy and equal to comfort of the yurts.

Our RV broke down as we were coming to Oceanside on our vacation. The hotel manager was so helpful, and kind beyond measure! It just so happened that he had a cancellation and we had a place to stay. We had no cell service so Joe let us use his landline to call for mobile repair. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to break down. The room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view and roar of the ocean. We will be back here for sure! Driving our car next time!

Nice little cabins only 50 yards from the beach. Be sure to check out tunnel beach! The cabins are definitely showing there age but that's to be expected. Joe at the office is amazing, definitely will come back.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED our stay at the cabin. Yes, very rustic and not your typical hotel type setting. Every min was so worthwhile as you trade in the typical hustle and bustle of a large hotel for a very private, quaint and rustic cabin. We could not believe just how relaxing it turned out. We are now fully committed on making the or new "norm"....

I had accidentally left a review for these cabins a couple days ago and left a bad review. When I'd realized it was the wrong cabins I took it down. My apologies.I've stayed here before and absolutely loved them. My Brother and his family stayed in one and I'd stayed in the other. They're fabulous & clean and I will absolutely come back here to these cabins.

We consider these cabins our home away from home on the coast. Joe is so kind, professional, and just a genuinely awesome person. The cabins are very clean and each one is different, our families love that we all can have our own cabins. I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance!

I ve long admired these little cabins, Oceanside is my favorite beach, but this summer was the first time I ve stayed. My family rented four cabins here for a little reunion on the beach and it was perfect! It was really nice to be close to one another with our own space! The rooms were amazing, the pictures do not do them justice. Everything was very clean, the management staff was beyond friendly and accommodating, the views of and sound from the beach where soooo soothing, and the location is perfectly situated in the tiny little town. And the prices are unbeatable! I can t wait to come back for a girls trip this fall or winter.

Hidden Gem! I have lived in Oregon since '75 and had no idea this place existed so I'm super happy it was recommended. Staff is awesome, cabins are spacious and clean, and the beach is right there! This is my new favorite place and I will be returning.

By far the best ocean motel/hotel/vacation spot period. No continental breakfast lol but they are furnished with fridge and cooking area so bring your own milk and cereal, or make waffles in the morning. Either way you won't find a more relaxing place to stay. Showers are hot also, huge plus in my books.Enough about the cabins though because the real reason these cabins top my list is the people!!! First off the guy who manages the place, Joe, is one of the most friendly people persons I've ever met. He always has a smile and always makes you feel like a VIP, even sitting in my room I overheard the way he greeted the other guest, and that alone made me smile lol. So shout out to Joe at the OCEANFRONT CABBINS, thank you sir for a wonderful experience. And for the second person, Echo, the housekeeper there. Thank you for taking the pride in your work that you do. My cabin was spotless, and being a little cabin by the sea I was expecting a sandy stay, hell even the big hotel chains have a sand floor. But not here. I mean I'm impressed on how clean everything was. Even the sink was free of water spots. Truly makes the stay that much better when you don't have to worry about who used the room before you. So to sum it up I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU TO JOE AND ECHO at the oceanfront cabins in Oceanside Oregon for the best vacation retreat I've ever stayed at. Will return and will recommend over and over again! Much love y'all!!!,

Location couldn't be better. Nice little cabins with views of the beach/ocean. A little warn down and outdated but makes up for it in affordability! They also welcome pets. I would definitely consider staying here again if in the area.

We highly recommend these cabins ! These cabins are clean and have character you can't find in a hotel chain. Also the view is amazing from every cabin. The owner made sure we were comfortable and Tony gave us tips of where to go for great hikes. We'll definitely be back !!!

In a positive way the saying "you get what you pay for" is being applied here.Cons: blankets smelled absolutely unwashed, mold in the bathroom showers and the door mechanisms locked us IN AND OUT it took everything we had to jiggle the doors open with the room key. At least 5 minutes unlocking and a minute to open the door from the inside. Also there is really no where to eat not a bunch of choices.PROS: the room was very clean besides above notes issues. Sheets were crisp and clean floors were clean toilets were clean we didn't use dishes or any of the appliances but they had looked clean peeking in app the cupboards. View was absolutely breathtaking. A big tree kind of blocked it but it was still amazing. Tony Serven is a kick ass hotel front desk keeper and made the experience that much more amazing. And best thing about it all, the rocks. We got so many mesmerizing beautiful rocks and gems from the beach I'm sure my car came back home 200 pounds heavier.

I have been staying at these cabins for years. Last month I called to make a reservation. After not getting a call back the next day I called again the following day and complained a little about not getting a call back. When I finally reached John, the owner, he was very rude and said he did not need my business. I am an easy renter, no cause but a very strange interaction.

Small and cozy. Clean and acceptable. Bathrooms are super small. WiFi was not optimal at all. Would be nice to have a pull out couch instead of two chairs or better yet a high seated breakfast nook in the front area so you can actually see outside while you're sitting indoors.

Its a simple little cabin. Nothing spectacular in the place itself. What is worth writing about is the view from the front porch. Having a covered porch is a must on those rainy Oregon days. Oceanside is one of our families favorite beaches in the Oregon coast and these little cannons are just a few steps from the water. Don't mistake these cabins for the ~$300/night vacasa rentals that line the hills of oceanside. This place doesn't have a dishwasher or washing machine, and the refrigerator sometimes vibrates loud enough to block out the sound of the ocean. But for a much cheaper price, it's a wonderful place for a short stay for the family.

It is hidden gem right on the ocean. Super clean, beautiful area, and run with professionalism and friendly on-site manager. Service was really great and went beyond expectations for requests.

Went there a few years ago and it was fine. Booked two cabins for a trip in March 2014, for us and family coming from out of state, and called to confirm our reservation 2 weeks ahead of scheduled. We were advised that we only have ONE cabin reserved, a tiny one, not suitable for 4 people and that the other cabin we were supposed to have has been reserved now by someone else. Owner advised he is not responsible for the mistake (more accurately, that we LIED about booking two rooms because they charged a booking fee for one) and it is not his responsibility to make it right. Cancelled our reservation, now waiting to see if they actually refund the booking fee. Owner has not discovered the internet, no way to book on line and they do not send email confirmations. We would have seen THEIR error right away had they sent a confirmation.

Fit the need for an impromptu getaway. Cabin a bit outdated but very clean. Conveniently situated near a couple of quaint shops and eateries. My fav was going down to the ocean, thru the tunnel, taking pics and finding pretty rocks.
