Great guy!!! I haven't had to take but one vehicle to him but it was outstanding, honest service. He did the work for probably half the cost and saved me money cause my breaks didn't need to be replaced when another local, very well known car dealership tried to tell me they needed to be, I would recommend him to anyone. I feel he is very honest and fair with his pricing. Keep up the good work. Him and his wife (used her flower shop for my daughters wedding) are very sweet, honest people

Wonderful experience, knowledgeable staff and quick turn around time. We had the timing belt and spark plugs replaced and felt like Mick was very honest and fair with the diagnosis and following repair.

I gave mick Reed (the owner) $7200 to replace the engine in my Camaro more than 3 years ago. Every time I call or stop by, he manages to duck out the back door, or he's in vacation or something. I actually cornered him about 2 of 3 months ago, and I went in to look at my car because I wanted to tow it to another mechanic and have them do it while I take Mr. Reed to small claims court, but the car wasn't even road worthy. There was no possible way to tow it out without a crane and a flatbed so I left it and gave him 30 days to finish the job... still nothing. Either way, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS GUY!!!! HE WILL KEEP YOUR CAR AND NEVER GIVE IT BACK!!I've started the process of dealing with this guy through the courts, but I'm gonna end up shelling out another couple grand just to get what's rightfully mine.

I remember Mick Reed from years of growing up in the Bay area and always knew he had a good reputation. I had moved back home to Coos Bay/North Bend a few years ago and recently, my 2012 Scion XB Turbo started acting strangely, idling roughly and wanting to quit. I thought about taking it into the Toyota dealership in Coos Bay, but also knew they charge an arm and a leg for service and repair, plus they were almost 3 weeks out in scheduling appointments, and the Scion is my daily driver. I had researched mechanics in the local area and saw that Mick Reed was still in business. I also saw that he had consistently great feedback and reviews. I gave Mick a call (leave him a message. he WILL return your call). Mick was able to get me in within 2 days and within only a few hours of my leaving my car with him, he called me back, had diagnosed and fixed the problem and said my car was ready to pick up! Turned out to be an an electrical issue which caused my electronic throttle body, which was also gummed up, to reset in the wrong position and confuse the fuel injectors which caused the rough idling. He cleaned out the throttle body and ran a check on the system and fixed the issue. The Scion now runs as smoothly as ever! He didn't try to get me to do any other services and the bill was absolutely reasonable and straightforward, no BS. Mick was friendly and businesslike. I have found my mechanic and it is Mick Reed! I wholeheartedly recommend him! Five Stars!Service: Electrical

I can t say enough good about Mick. We came to coos bay from Medford in the middle of the night having to evacuate the fires down there. My place of employment had just burned to the ground and I had a car full of scared kids that didn t know if they had a place to live anymore. I noticed on the drive over our oil pressure was going up. I tried a few places around town and told them our situation and nobody would even look at our car for 3-4 days. One of the shops said they didn t work on domestic vehicles and recommended Mick Reed. I called him right away, I could tell he was very busy but when I told him what was going on he told me to bring the car down and they would get it figure out. It was a Friday afternoon and they got my car fixed before the end of the day. We are so thankful for good people like him. We don t live here but we do visit family a lot and if we ever need anything again he will be the one we call (hopefully we can just schedule a regular appointment next time). I am a mechanic in a Harley Davidson dealership and when we have people come in that are traveling they take priority and we stay late to get them back on the road if we have to. It s not very often the tables are turned but it s nice to know there are other people out there that will do the same thing. I can t tell you how much we appreciate you fitting us in.

Mick has been my mechanic for years. Through several cars and teenage drivers. He is one of the most honest, efficient, affordable mechanics I have ever dealt with. He never tries to up sale me with things I don't need. When he is busy he still takes the time to discuss necessary issues to help me make informed decisions. You can't find a better mechanic!

This is our mechanic!! He really knows his stuff and he is honest!! Last time he worked on my car the part was a bit less then what he quoted me,He could have not said a word and kept the extra money, but that is not Mick. He only charged me what it cost. Integrity!

Mick is a one of a kind mechanic. He does excellent repairs at an affordable price. He fixed what needed to be fixed and didn't try to talk you into other repairs. When he found another needed repair he called first for approval. Thanks Mick for being there for all of us.

1-3-22.. thought my truck needed a alternator /starter expecting a $500 bill. 4hrs later Mick informed me it was a bad battery cable. Diagnosis/cable/installed.. $57. Could not be more grateful. Thanks Mick
