A great experience (multiple, in fact) at Precision. Mark, and Juan have been helpful, informative, honest, with good communication and competitive pricing. Very happy with multiple projects through them on my 68 Camaro.

Transmission failed less than year after having my transmission rebuild done here. Brought it back to get it diagnosed & fixed. Of course they took no blame & refused the warranty claim. This business has really changed along with the new workers & management. They used to be more reputable, not anymore.I would not trust them for anything other than a simple oil change, especially if your a Women or don t understand the mechanics of cars. Btw, had it fixed at another shop & it 100% confirmed the transmission rebuild was done incorrectly by the mechanics at Precision Automotive in Newberg.Yes, I absolutely have the right Precision Automotive in Newberg. You rebuilt my Manual Transmission, new Clutch & Flywheel etc. $1400 worth of work that didn t last a year. Nevermind my original clutch lasted 120,000 miles. I know what happened & gave you chance to make it right, instead all I was offered was to redo the job at the same cost. Thanks but NO THANKSService: Transmission

They were amazing. I took my Nissan 370z to the shop cause multiple misfires were detected. They diagnosed my car and found out that the fuel pump wasn't working correctly, so they replaced it, and the problem is now solved. Also, my car was ready the next day I took it to the shop. 10/10 recommended. Some may think the prices are not low, but let's be honest, it depends on the car, make, model, and the car's problem/s. For me, it was worth what I paid for the diagnosis and reparation.

Brought the used car I just purchased for an inspection. They told me my transmission fluid was red and new. I drove the car around for a couple weeks and noticed hard shifting on vehicle. I took it into Tyler's Automotive and they told me transmission fluid was burnt and low. I then leveled it up on jack stands and checked myself (it doesn't have a dip stick). Apparently, the transmission fluid is burnt, low, and causing shifting issues that is damaging the transmission. Super stoked on Precision's assessment of "red and new" transmission fluid and them trying to sell me on dumping $1,800 into a new ABS unit for reasons beyond the scope of this review. We take our company vehicles here, I do not know why.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This shop is great! I called because my HID light needed replacement. On my old car, I would have just done the change myself but it involves removing a bumper on my current vehicle, a task that is a little much for my skill set, and the part wasn't in stock locally. I called that a.m. and the gentleman who answered ordered the part from Portland and quoted me a very reasonable price for the replacement (dealer wanted to charge double), and he also was able to fit me in that day. The best part was, the bill was $25 less than expected. Great shop and will definitely use them again!

They emptied all the coolant/water from the radiator and drained the oil and also left the screws out of the air filter component in the engine. They didn't bother to put the truck back together before I drove it home. They may have destroyed the engine.They also diagnosed that I have a blown head-gasket (a $2400 fix), but they didn't even check the lines or the thermometer. I know this because there was still pressure in the lines when I took the thermometer off. Also, there is no indication that the head-gasket is blown - there is no fluid cross-contamination.Absolutely disgusting what they did. They misdiagnosed the problem and send me home dry and in pieces. There is no excuse for this.

I have to say, FINALLY!, I found an honest mechanic. Juan has been upfront and a great person to work with from moment one. Even when a mistake occurred, it's how it was handled is what matters. I have mixed opinions on this place. I was refered o them from another shop that didn't work on my vehicle. They had refered because this place does good work. I was concerned about Precision and if the diagnosis was correct. My regular mechanics told me 'not to worry, Precision would confirm what was wrong and go from there.'Well Precision didn't, but had me pay for a 2,400.00 part up front. As it turned out that wasn't the issue. It was something else and they made me pay for a reshelving fee of almost 300.00. Yes to simple put a part back on the shelf it cost me 300.00! All because they didn't do their homework and inspect the vehicle first, I got stuck paying for their mistake.In 'the day', they mechanic would have absorbed the cost for their error. But not todays world. A two hour job turned into a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Monday job, as they required the car to be dropped off a day ahead of time and don't work weekends. My husband said they aren't worried about customer satisfaction because their so busy.So if you're not in a hurry to get your car and aren't concerned about reshelving fees, feel free to go to Precision...I wont!

I loved this place. They are honest and ethical as well as compassionate and kind customer service. They did a great job fixing my van. I would highly recommend Precision for all your repairs.

Just had my two cars worked on by Mark and his crew and they have to be the best automotive service shop in Yamhill County. From finding and fixing the problems to very fair pricing and scheduling to fit my schedule these people are great to work with and to go back to whenever needed. Kudos to Precision Automotive.

Horrible experience would be an understatement, I was referred by Gales towing and told that it was a Sensor. They over charged me for the part and charged me $175.00 to take off part and another $175.00 to put it back on and $75.00 for the part for $425 they miss diagnosed my car, and turns out was not even the problem because my car did the same thing the very next day. I even noticed the next day after oil change they added 63 miles on my car and I was livid once they denied to come pick up car once the car did not start the next day so they could look at the bad service they provided. they up sale any & everything they can, they over charge any chance they can, bad service, unprofessional if you call using your car to drive to go get lunch, or errands done on your gas and $$.

My Subaru was towed here at the recommendation of the tow truck driver. I can see why! Precision Automotive worked hard to find out why my car was acting up. They didn't want to charge me for unnecessary repairs, instead continued to try and pinpoint the issue. Since my car has been running fine ever since, I am guessing that their diagnosis was correct. Thank you!

Yes I would recommend Precision Automotive. Very fair prices and timely turnaround. I've had two different cars they have taken care of for me. Water pumps, timing belts, tensioners, radiator replace, head gaskets, took care of engine light errors and brought it up to DEQ compliance. I always get a call if a worn part or cracked hose or belt is discovered before they proceed. Thank you Precision Automotive!

They were able to get me in quickly to fix my radiator, change the oil, flush the coolant system and change the cabin filter. They also looked over the whole car and made a laundry list of repairs.When I picked up the car it was close to $700 after being quoted $500 and there was no conversation about the additional cost. I later realized that the other fluids were not topped off with the oil change either. After looking at the list of proposed repairs, I realized that they estimated $100 multiple times to remove all the parts to get to the water pump and again charged $100 to put them back on. So with a 3 page estimate, the labor was over $2400 and parts were over $1000 and they are marked up. After pricing out the parts from the auto part store, they'll all be under $500. I'm going to do the work myself at Gearhead Garage in Tigard.Update 6 weeks later: Office manager called to discuss review twice. After 2nd call and several minutes of discussing why the estimate was fair, she said that marking up parts is part of their business. Auto repairs businesses are ssrvice oriented, not marking up retail auto parts that they get discounted and mark up 3x.

Took our car in to repair a sensor on one of our tires. Lady at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. Took a look at the job afterwards and they had used zip ties to reattach the sensor, and the error light came back after a day. Ended up taking it to another shop, didn't want to have to deal with the poor customer service and terrible quality of work again.

After a lot of shops that screwed me over a friend recommended this shop to me. Off the bat the owners are awesome and the guys at the shop know how to properly take care of a car like mine. Highly recommended.

These guys know their stuff and pricing is very competitive. They're also willing to do some of those jobs (like regearing axles) that other shops either butcher or refuse to do.
