Dealing with a mechanic or auto shop can be a hassle- especially if you're not really mechanically inclined- however, my first time at Molalla Auto Works was an exception.They diagnosed my daughter's vehicle for us and repaired it quicker than we had anticipated- and unlike other shops in the area, they weren't booked out weeks in advance- although with their top notch service, they should be!I'll definitely be returning for any future repairs to any of our vehicles. Thanks guys, you really knocked it out of the park for us!

Even though I kept missing my appointment I know how the owner feels about that, I must say when I first got my challenger I needed the brakes done and a lot of other mechanical problems looked at and they exceeded My expectations. They will give it to you straight with what's wrong and the prices are more than reasonable, greatly accommodating and will work with you. HIGHLY recommend

Ohhhh what to do .what do?You take it to Darryl thats what you do!My 05 xterra kept over heating, and my husband had already replaced the aux fan ourselves. This fan never shut off because the engine never cooled down as Darryl found out after testing!I was in a panic as I was afraid I d have to replace this car and I am not in a financial position to do so, who is?Darryl spent many hours test driving and Diagnosing my enigma of a car as it wasn t behaving like it was supposed to! Bad car! Go to your room! He was more than fair on pricing and in fact, took a hit on a damaged radiator after delivery.He told me my water pump didn't need replacing when he could have easily done so and charged for it. I d have been no wiser.This shop is honorable, fastidious, and is super involved with their customers. Darryl has made several update and follow up calls.I now have a safe car to ride and no fear of being stuck somewhere in the middle of no where!I cant say enough good things about the professionalism, integrity and personal attention to both my car and my emotional state while stressing over it!They have a customer for life and I have only fantastic things to say about them!You've made more than just a customer, you've made a friend!Now about that Massey Ferguson tractor . Good local shop. Knowledgeable people work here. especially the owner. Does things the right way all the way down to the specs on your lug nuts. The guy really cares about customer service and doing the right thing and that s hard to find in the current auto industry we live in.

Very professional techs! I have a Ford Explorer and the Service light came on in the dashboard. I called and set up an appointment immediately and Darryl and his team Dan and Zach were very good to work with. This is the 3rd time I have used them and I will not take my vehicles any place else. With various rigs, I have gone to the larger shops in the surrounding areas but Molalla Auto Works has my business as they are really honest and efficient. We are so lucky to have them in the Molalla area. Thanks guys!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. They were honest in their assessment of the problems with our car. The diagnostics was a reasonable price. We did not get our car fixed since it would have been a total engine rebuild but will be back when our next issue arises.

I brought my jeep in for an intermittent problem I was having. The tech did a really thorough job diagnosing the issue and even did a bit more than I would have expected. The price was fair, no surprises. I will take my car back to them if needed.EDIT: I wanted to write a new review but it brought me back to this one. So the problem ended up revealing itself (do not misinterpret this as an indication that they didn't inspect the car properly at the initial assessment. THEY DID A VERY THOROUGH INITIAL INSPECTION and our course of action made perfect sense). Darryl and I had discussed that it was probably the best course of action to wait for the problem to return rather than throwing a bunch of money and time at it when everything was working fine (initial review). So anyway, Brought the jeep back for a pretty big job. They started when they said they would and finished the job quickly. Darryl really took the time to run through all the options for the fix and weighed the pros and cons of each option. I"m no certified mechanic, but I have been working on cars for a long time and everything he told me was true, which is always a good sign! He wasn't trying to 'upsell' it was really just about getting all the information so that I could make the best decision for me. This team really takes pride in their work and you can tell that they really want you to get the most bang for your buck. The techs/mechanics did a great job. Every thing is working great. I will definitely go back for any jobs that are too big for me to handle.Service: Engine repair

I highly recommend this local automotive garage, living in a small town people are very personable and friendly. Darryl and his team have taken care of my family's cars for many years. He will offer you his recommendation and honesty about any questions you might have about your car. So if you're looking for a great garage that will take care of your car you have to take it down to Molalla Auto Works.

I had a weird car problem (weird to me because I know nothing about cars) and I was able to get a rough estimate over the phone before having to have my car towed over there. They were super kind and helpful and even explained to me the work they did on my car. They were very affordable and I had my car taken back when there was another problem. I m so impressed with their work and customer service! I WILL and already have recommended this shop to my friends and family in my area!

What a great shop ! They scheduled me in right away and were finished with my truck a day early, wow! Their safety inspection found that my back brakes were metal on metal and they were even able to fix my electrical overdrive switch. The front office kept me informed of their progress and findings throughout the job. They did only the work that I requested and did it very well. It runs and drives like new ! We Highly recommend to all.

One of the best experiences from a local shop and Will use them again.Definitely ran my oil low on my Cadillac and thought it was a much bigger issue. They diganosed me properly and I had them do some maintence repairs that I knew were coming. Brakes rotors, they even replaced my bearing which needed it badly.Price was fair and reasonable and nothing can beat having a shop finish your car in a timely manner.I would suggest them to anyone local or traveling. This review is long overdue. I have a long history with Molalla Auto Works. In all of that time, they have been fair and honest, going above and beyond to answer questions about how my vehicle works, and what caused any current issue I m having. Danni always does her best to fit me in the schedule in emergencies, and is always friendly and professional, even when I m stressed. I don t drive the most fancy cars, and Ben always help me prioritize my next fix by what will keep me safest on the road when I don t have the money to take care of everything at once (and he occasionally sings for me when I come to get my vehicles- bonus!). They also repair my mother s vehicles, and she has shared that Darryl has taken time he doesn t have as a busy owner to pray with her, and for her, through some of our toughest family moments. They re a professional crew whose priority is good business. They don t employ people who are dishonest, or incapable of doing quality work. When I refer people to a good mechanic, it is always to them. Thank you, Molalla Auto Works!

I was new to Molalla and my Camry started having issues with the brakes. Luckily Molalla Auto Works was walking distance from my house and could get me in really quickly. Everyone was super nice and they really know their stuff. Shortly after getting the brakes done I noticed my brake light came on and wouldn't go off so I called and they got me in that same day to inspect it and they found that during the brake work a small bolt didn't get put back on tight enough and they took full responsibility and didn't even charge me!! This is the only place I will bring my cars!!!

I stopped by today with no appointment to see if I could have my thermostat replaced as my vehicle was running poorly for awhile because of it. They took me in immediately, and also let me know my sticker was just past due for an oil change but made it very clear they were not pressuring me to do while there, was just bringing it to my attention. I decided to have it done anyways.Their pricing for my repair, and oil change was very acceptable! There was no run around. Just cut and dry which I appreciated very much.The staff was welcoming and made you feel like a friend! Daryl (the owner) is someone I felt in my heart was an honest wholesome man. And the technician (i believe his name was Dan) was very knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me on a single thing.When I picked up my vehicle I was slightly nervous because we all know there's always some sort of bad news you hear after work is done. "This needs replaced asap, thats broken and will break down if not replaced soon" and quotes are prepared before you even show up. NONE of that occurred.I wasnt targeted to be upsold on a single thing. I didn't get the typical lecture of needing to spend hundreds of dollars in the near future. Dan told me everything checked out well, ran my payment and they both wished me a great evening!I came home and told my boyfriend if he ever needs work done he doesn't want to do, to take it there.I had the most pleasant experience and I cant thank the staff enough for making me feel like I was leaving my vehicle in great hands!I will be coming back!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Darryl is a longtime family friend and businessman in the community. He knows his stuff when it comes to cars, automotive repairs, and maintenance. He saved me $500 on a shocks/struts job when compared with a Salem dealership. He's also been outstanding when it comes to diagnosing problems and offering cost-effective solutions. You can't beat Darryl and his team at Molalla Auto-Works, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great attitudes, customer care, and the most affordable you'll find for quality work.

My car was making a terrible noise. I was told it was the water pump at the oil change place. Molalla auto works was busy and appointments were more than a week out but they determined a bearing was my problem. They ordered the part on the spot and worked me in a couple days later. Fixed iit in 20 minutes and had me on my way. They have done other work for me and they were always correct on the diagnosis and efficient on the repairs.

I have been going to Molalla Auto Works since Darryl has taken over. He has always been upfront and honest regarding all my repairs. It is so nice to have a local auto repair so close to home that is trustworthy.

We just moved 2000 miles away from Molalla, but you know what I can't get off my mind? Yes, I miss my friends, and the river on the hot days, but it's Darryl and Danny that make me wistful. Danny immediately recognized the desperation in my voice (I bought a busted car that needed to be packed and placed on a ferry to Alaska in 24 hours), and took me in (right before closing!) Darryl spent the better part of the next day custom fabricating the needed part because it was four-days-out at the dealer. They were kind, informative, and had good humor. He brought me and my daughter into the shop to show me how and why he was doing everything, helping me to relax despite the stressful terms! Not only did he get the job done with excellence, he restored my faith in humanity. Thank you, Saint Darryl!

I got a quote from another place and it was over $600 and I called molalla auto works not only were they over $200 cheaper but they we very polite and professional I will recommend them to everyone. Plus they are a 10 min walk from my house. Thank you so much

Had my car in to this shop 3 times and was jacked around and lied too about what was wrong with it. They replaced thing that were not broken and told me that was my problem. After the 3rd time and them not honoring their warranty on their work, I took it somewhere else and found out everything they did and aactually got the correct diagnosis to my car problem. Do not ever take your car here!!!! Auto tech NW IS AMAZING!!!

I'm not exactly a car guy so I don't know much yet, but regardless everyone that works here is very nice and they give detailed explanations of anything I ask about and I'm very appreciative. Would recommend for anyone.

I have been taking my cars to Molalla Auto Works for about 5 years now. The staff is knowledgeable, clean, and courteous. It is great doing business with an honest and affordable mechanic.

My 2005 Toyota Prius hybrid started having electrical problems so I took it to Molalla Auto Works. They diagnosed that the big, expensive "hybrid" battery had problems. They ordered a replacement, installed, and presto the car now runs like a new car. I no longer drive all the way to the car dealers, but take my vehicles to Darryl who is one of the best mechanics around!!

We simply will not let any other shop touch our vehicles. Finding good honest mechanics is like find a needle in a hey stack. This place is that needle! As long as we live in Molalla, Molalla Auto Works will get our business.

Honest and kind. Two words that don't often come to mind when thinking of a mechanic. In this case it absolutely applies. They are thorough but efficient and very pleasant. I would and WILL continue to bring my vehicles to them for both minor and major repairs.

The fact that they are christians really shows. They informed me of the work needed on my vehicle in a ranked system of priority based on safety and did not try to upsell me anything unnecessary. I will be a customer as long as I live in the area.
