Ken Scales Automotive, before ownership changed hands, and after have always been awesome with our vehicle repairs! They are professional and caring, trustworthy and competent, skilled with just about any issue we have had with our cars. And anytime the vehicle being repaired had a problem after being worked on, they immediately took it back and rectified the issue.Prices always fair and reasonable. Would HIGHLY recommend them, they are awesome!!

I called Ken scales before going down for my serpentine belt. They said it shouldn't cost anything if it's just the belt and shouldn't take no more than 10 minutes to look at. I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday to come in. Tuesday comes and check myself in with the front desk. The guy said it will take an hour to fully look at it and see what's wrong. They didn't offer acourtesy ride, and my girlfriend and I had a walk all the way back to our house 5 miles away. Then we get a phone call when we got home that our jeep is looked at and ready to be picked up. When we got back to the shop they told me that my coolant was leaking on to my belt (which I looked myself prior to going and after there was no signs of coolant leakage on or near the belt.) The same guy Jeff I checked in with told me it will cost me almost $90 to settle. I told him that's not what I was told over the phone last week that it was supposed to be only 10 mins and free just a look.He told me "Well, I can't feed my kids off free." So I paid the shop, and left. I will never suggest someone to go here due to the rudeness, inconvenience this was brought apon me and my family.I figured out myself what was wrong it was the belt itself was just bad.* Bottom note I highly recommend going else where due to the amount of disrespect after they take your car in. They will misdiagnose your vehicle and make you pay to get your car fixed.

Very incompetent repairs and diagnostics. I needed replacement of front brake pads, and after the vehicle was ready and I received it, I immediately noticed horrible noises coming from underneath the front end. Returned the vehicle, they drove it and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. To me the sounds persisted and they put it on a lift and inspected the vehicle. Still these people found nothing wrong. I ended up taking it to another shop and almost instantly after a test drive they noticed the unnatural noises that were driving me crazy. After an extensive hunt for the source of the noises they discovered the passenger side front brake caliper had two loose mounting bolts, that were 3 full turns from being properly tightened. They put everything back together and the problem was solved !! So happy to actually have mechanics in this valley that are competent they probably saved my vehicle from catastrophic brake failure on the right front side.

I was a customer of this shop back when Ken Scales was the owner/operator. He is now retired and sadly his legacy does NOT live on. I took my truck in for a simple oil leak. Cost me $1100. 2 weeks later i took it back because the leak was even worse....$1300 and 4 days in the shop. Got it home- still leaked all over the driveway. 2 monthspass and its getting worse. I ask a friend to help me. We get it back to Scales shop where im told the truck is old and probably has leaks everywhere....all i want is for them to do the job that ive already paid them to do...twice!. Well, 3rd time- $500....and this is what my driveway looks like after the THIRD time AND $3000 DOLLARS later for an oil leak! Only now its not a leak, its a downpour. So its time for my community to know that this business does NOT honor their work, and they WILL take advantage of their customers and run up the bill if given the opportunity. I think Ken would be disappointed in what his business has become.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance, Oil change

This shop has been nothing but good to me. They have taken care of my 2017 F350 for the last few years. They always take time to explain what the issues with the vehicle are and give me options with how to fix it. They're very professional, punctual and integral. My vehicles will not be taken care of by any other shop.

I have been very happy with the service from Jeff and Mike and their team at Ken Scales and I highly recommend them. They are honest, experienced, and very competent (unlike many others as I just found out) which enables them to properly diagnose and fix issues. They will go the extra mile to get your car repaired quickly and properly at a fair price. Their expert service recently enabled me to repair my SUV and avoid purchasing a new $50,000 SUV.I recently had a noise coming from the front of my older well-kept luxury SUV. It was late in the day and I couldn t get in same day at Ken Scales so I took it to the local dealership near my home to see if it was safe to drive as the noise was getting louder. A few days later the dealer stated their expert mechanics used their diagnostic tools and determined my car needed a new transmission for $5000+ and some major engine work in the not distant future for another $10,000. I was shocked and frantic as I wasn t planning on buying a new car now. However, putting that amount of money into my older SUV didn t make sense. I rented a car for a week and started shopping for a new SUV and soon found out I was going to have to spend $45k- $50k for a SUV given the sky-high prices right now.I talked to Jeff at Ken Scales to get his opinion and gave him the report from the dealer. He said he didn t believe the diagnosis and asked me to get the car to them to look at. He called the next day and told me there was nothing wrong with my transmission or my engine. He said the only issue was the front wheel bearings and some related parts which needed to be replaced for a total cost of $1200. I was obviously ecstatic about the good news and very relieved. My car is running great. I had a new car ready to buy and Ken Scales saved me nearly $50 ,000!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Made appointment with them because this shop used to be so great. No longer. Was going to get fog lights installed with light bar, the guy said no problem. That evening I was told most maticuluos guy in middle of. I paid over 1000.00 just to get brakes and when I arrived they told me lights were too difficult. They did no lights at all. They lied on phone and overcharged for brakes and kept vehicle for 2 days with appointment. They do not wear masks at this business either. Will not recommend or return.

RIP OFF!!!!! If you are looking for honesty and quality service, STAY AWAY from Ken Scales. They are only looking to make a quick buck, not concerned with customer service!!!!!I was referred to Ken Scales by a few people to look at the suspension in my Jeep due to rattling and also requested they check my brakes. When I called, they scheduled me for an 8:00 am appointment. I told them I suspected loose bolts. After 1 hour of "inspection" I was shown loose bolts in the front and rear suspension, just as I suspected. My Jeep was already up in the air. I was told they didn't have time to tighten the bolts (approximately 6 bolts) and that I would have to take it to Les Schwab. I was then told I owed $65.00 for the inspection... to do nothing... except confirm what I already knew... loose bolts... and send me to Les Schwab and again be charged.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Really happy with the crew, the quality of the work, and the cost. I had a few major repairs that I had already solicited prices for from two other "popular" auto service businesses, and Scales Automotive was notably lower priced. Also, the quality of the work was immediately obvious when I picked up my vehicle and drove it off the lot. The performance and handling improvements were a treat. Much thanks to everyone at Scales Auto. See you again, Respectfully, ANDO

Highly recommend Ken Scale Automotive for their professionalism, friendly staff, and quality work. I've taken one of my cars there twice and they've always been fairly priced for their labor and parts. From my experiences they use OEM parts (if available) which will often run you more money but have less chance of failure (in most cases). If you need your vehicle worked on and are willing to pay a fair price without the risk of being ripped off I highly recommend Ken Scale Automotive.

I have taken both of our vehicles in for repairs. Both times they determined the best option of repair and even let us know what else they saw that was needing attention. They don't pressure you into anything and do a great job and letting you know the issues. I would have no problem going back in the future or recommending them to friends.

I ve takin my 1990 F150, 1995 Tacoma, 1985 Toyota pickup and my 2002 dodge 1500. Every type of truck and year they ve never had a problem diagnosing or fixing any problem I ve had.

These guys have been fixing and maintenancing our vehicles since we were in high school.(About 16 years now).Ken Scales has always been honest and only fixed what needed repair. They don't ever push or upsell things that your car doesnt need. This alone, is so appreciated. They have very fair pricing and always get us in right away for repairs. We usually work with Mike, which is GREAT at his job. He is very knowledgeable and always calls us ahead to let us know what the problems are and how much it will cost before they do the work. No surprise totals, which is nice to be able to prepare for ahead of time. Mike has even taken the time in the past to show us our parts after the repairs were complete, to see the condition they were in. Its so nice to have a company in the valley who is this honest, backs their work and has great customer service. Ken Scales is a perfect example of how businesses should treat their customers. Especially in the automotive industry. Amazing service with a great crew. So grateful for the peace of mind and affordability. Krissy C.

This family ran business is as tight as all of their work. They have all the connections needed to commit to the service they recommend with the customer regardless of the work required to get your rig up and running. They are very timely and accurate with actual diagnosis, I highly recommend Ken Scales to all.

I love Ken Scales..being a woman it is really easy to be manipulated by automotive repair shops.I took my car in for a steering column repair. Parts had been discontinued so they offered to look for salvage parts. My car is up and running for 1/3 the cost of going thru a dealership. I highly recommend Ken Scales especially for women. You won't be sorry.

If I could give 10 stars I would! We ve been taking our cars here for a couple of years and these guys are the most HONEST and INTEGRATIVE mechanics we have ever dealt with. My husband used to hate taking our cars to auto shops because he didn t fully trust them-not the case with Ken Scales Automotive, we know when we take our cars in we will get honesty and quality work.R&G Smyth

I've used Ken scales multiple times and I've never been disappointed. Always willing to answer questions, even just over the phone, and I've always super appreciated recommendations when things are wrong outside of their wheelhouse of knowledge. Great guys!!

I was traveling thru when my truck broke down. Ken Scales was able to work me into their busy Monday morning, replace a radiator hose and serpentine belt, check the rest of the engine for any other damage and get me on my way by 2:00 pm. All at a very reasonable price - they even arranged for the tow to their shop and got me a good deal on that.

Jeff and his team worked diligently to diagnose and fix a very rare issue with my vehicle, requiring tedious research and great effort. They figured it out and my truck has been running better than ever. After being told my another shop and Ford that the truck would likely need a new engine, these guys got to the bottom of the issue and saved me a ton of money. I'll never go anywhere else!

I have been coming here to Ken scales automotive since moving to southern Oregon in fall 16. Ken and Mike are both honest and hard working guys that take pride in their work and in their faciliy. The technicians are also young, hardworking and dedicated individuals. The environment of the establishment is comfortable, relaxed and efficient. If you are looking for a quality mechanic who quotes a fair price, go in and meet them or give them a call if you have any questions.
