We love the location of the hotel. The room is cute. I did not realize we would have the smaller room. Room 19 is a bigger room. We were cramped but made it work. I was told first floor were dog friendly, room 19 is bottom floor But we were told when I called the front desk clerk that it is no longer pet friendly. The girl who checked us in I felt like I was bothering her evening. When I called directly to the hotel to make the reservations the person I talked to you was amazing. The room was decently clean except for the dishes not being put away and my grandson found a dip pack on the floor. To be fair we moved the bed over. They just need to move stuff to clean it once in a while.I was told there were no managers on the weekends which makes it hard to get any help:(Rooms: Beds are comfortable. Full kitchen but bring a bigger pan and some of your own knives.Nearby activities: Walk through town, catch a sunset. SunriseWalkability: Directly across from the beach

I like this place, it's a gem. The pool is amazing, I only wish the pool stayed open a few more weeks into October. I appreciate so much that there is still an affordable place left to stay on the coast in this incredible location with ocean views and the sound of the surf from the open windows. The staff is great and the rooms are clean.

It is a little dated. But the rooms are clean and the view is amazing from most rooms. Parking is pretty tight but we would stay here again.Rooms: Large and clean.Nearby activities: Easy to walk the beach or a few little shopsSafety: Area seems safeWalkability: Easy access

The room and location are nice, but the lack of 24 hour staff was a bummer. One of the neighbors was playing loud music with a guest at 2 in the morning making it difficult to sleep. As I didn t want to walk to the room, we planned to call the room but realized we didn t have a phone (despite the sign saying there would be one). Maybe bring earplugs if you decide to stay here? It seems talking to drunk guests is the most that can be done, and will fix the situation for 20 minutes. On a side note, one of the thermostats and the drain cover were broken making it a bit cold and a pain.

On the ocean... so much better than nearly all places in town. Great little town, too. Only sand for beach here.Rooms are a little aged, but this place was pretty cool. It has a heated pool, we didn't use it, but it was clean. We enjoy the coastal cruise and stop to look for places just like this!

Rooms are a bit run down but for the price it s great. Nice views, we have stayed here 3 times now and I will definitely be back. Such a cute little town. Love that they have kitchens and there s a very nice little grocery down the street. Not too many restaurants in town so it s great to have the option to make your own meals especially for longer stays.

Smallest hotel room I ve ever stayed in. Old. Horribly loud- every time the room next to us turns the water on or flushes the toilet it drowns out the TV.Walking distance to beach and restaurants (although most every place to eat closes early).Would not stay here again. The lady at the front desk was pleasant.

This is a fabulous motel on the water. Stunning sunsets and the sound of the sea never disappoints. I'm so grateful I travelled this road. Many thanks Walkability: Cross the road and walk on the beach from miles and miles.

I stayed in a dog friendly family suite in the Budd building (south end). The room was clean and the view from our room was amazing! Our couch looked new, hard surface floors, bedding was good, and very comfortable beds, I will be coming back for sure. I was a little concerned by a few of the negative reviews I saw before I stayed here, but I think those people may have had the wrong expectations. Either that or maybe the other buildings/smaller rooms are a different situation. This is not a fancy pristine upper end hotel, but if you are looking for decent accommodations in a fabulous location this is probably the best deal on the coast. I especially recommend the family suite- two rooms, fire place, and kitchen are hard to find!

When we checked in, our room had a heavy fragranced. Yet, the linens were all scent free. We decided it was room spray. As the room spray wore off we figured out why they used it! The bathroom smelled like a dive bar bathroom. It was awful! We had to turn the fan on and keep the door closed. Upon check out I told the front desk about the issue, they offered no apology at all! They just said they would let housekeeping know. I messaged the managers and never received a reply, guess they don't care! Whatever you do don't stay in room 203!

This was an ideal and affordable spot to stay in Manzanita. The location cannot be beat. We did end up with the smallest windows, most of the other rooms we saw had a large ocean facing window, ours was much smaller, but still an ok view of the ocean if you were sitting at the table. The room was comfortable and large. We had a simple single queen room, though glancing in the windows of other rooms there appear to be a lot of rooms with kitchenettes. We did have a microwave and refrigerator. We were walking distance from nearly anything you'd want in the town of Manzanita and a short drive from tons of great hikes. Literally feet from the beach.

We stayed one night June 1st 2022 a Wednesday,we asked for a view we ended up upstairs with a great view. Open the refrigerator door big crack and a hole on the shelf on the door totally unacceptable, the top of the fridge would sweat with moisture. The sponge on the counter in the kitchen was very used and dirty every guest should get a new sponge. This place was not real clean went to take a shower in the morning ran the water for 15 minutes was barely warm when I went to the counter to check out and complain the woman laughed and said it eventually gets warmer or hot that was her andwer.I paid $210 a night I don't think it was worth it even with the view

Beautiful views terrible rooms. I was so confused by all the positive reviews as opposed to my own awful experience. There is a newer section and an older section. I can speak for an older upstairs room. THe SMELL of musty mold was AWFUL and prevented us from being in our room expect when absolutely necessary. We couldn t get out of there fast enough. We had to leave the windows open and crank the heat. I can t even describe the smell. It was that bad. As much as they want for these beachside rooms, they could afford to rip out the sad, nasty carpet and purchase new beds/bedding. If you must stay here, ask for one of the newer rooms. Otherwise, prepare for a miserable night!

Pro - ocean front, VERY affordable, and clean. Staff was also courteous. A BARGAIN with 2 queen beds, a basic full furnished kitchen & partial view for less than $175/night.CON- the shower pressure was BAD and I questioned cleanliness due to very dated, worn & faded towels & bed linens. Also it smelled musty and floor could be cleaned better.

Not so good. Crumbs on carpet in several places. Crumbs in refrigerator. Water and mold in sliding glass door rail. No hair dryer. Bathroom sink plug did not operate, (linkage came apart). We did not shower because no hot water! Ice machine is located two houses down the street near office. Very drafty.Mattress is extra firm.Good ocean view from 2nd floor. Easy access to beach, restaurants and shops.Stayed here 4/12/2022

More than a little dated inside. Bathrooms and decor looked like it needed a refresh 10-15 years ago. And the design should have the walkway in the back so people could open doors/windows in the front to enjoy the ocean views without having people trudge past. But the location is great, the view is beautiful and the prices are reasonable.

Great staff and a superior location! We had a family room with an extra bedroom and balcony on the 2nd floor of the corner property just steps away from the beach Incredible views! Easy walking distance to many of the shops in town. We had and excellent stay all around and would book this hotel again. An "under the radar", very affordable gem!Our stay was during the week before Memorial Day and many shops and restaurants in town are closed on MON & TUE in off/shoulder season - plan accordingly.

Fantastic location, we could walk to restaurants and had an ocean front room. We could watch the sunset from our balcony. It's clean, the bathroom needs a bit of an update and there's no pots for the stove top..not that I am gonna cook but I wanted to boil water for tea.
