The photos make this accomodations look somewhat cute, but they are much worse in person. It is not modern or updated, but also not old and quaint. The rooms have a foul odor and the room we ended up staying in had a broken toilet, which kept us up all night. It was obviously broken as you could lift the lid and see it leaking while making the noise and the management told us it was a fountain outside and was very rude about it. Also, old dirty popcorn ceiling, no staff on site. Walls are thin, you can hear the people next to you. The only plus is the location to the beach, but even with that I would never stay here again.

My family and I used to vacation here every year 15 years ago and it was our favorite place. However, our most recent stay will be the last. We had a horrible experience. The first night of our vacation we were all kept up all night due to a loud knocking noise in the wall between room 4 and 5. When we brought it up, we were told they didn't know how to fix it and the solution was to move rooms so we did. The new room had a horrible musty smell, and we ended up finding black mold in the bathroom. I have asthma and I'm allergic to mold and the few short hours that were spent in that room made me feel sick and I was having a hard time breathing. We ended up finding a different place to stay, and moved again. Spent almost an entire day of our short 3 day vacation just moving rooms and trying to get settled. The rooms are also very outdated, have only seen new floors in the 15+ years we vacationed there. The parking lot also has horrible drainage and was flooded. It's a shame a place with that wonderful location has gone downhill and hasn't improved. They have lost my business going forward. I'd rather spend more money, further away from the beach than stay here again.

Perfect location, but the rooms are honestly really bad-odor upon checking in, that did not get better after opening some windows. Also, original popcorn ceilings from the 1940s so there's likely asbestos present, which caused us to leave an entire day early out of concern for our health. We will definitely find a better place next time we visit Manzanita!

A magnificent and hidden gem. We found it by accident when our transmission went out and we were stuck in this amazing town. The lady at the front desk was so kind and allowed us an early check in with the situation we were facing. The room was magnificent, well decided with an old school feel. The front desk person (assumably the owner) checked on us several times, even arranged for a ride for me the next morning with an employee to get a uhaul and tow dolly to get my family home. The Inn is 3 blocks away from the beach and centrally located amongst all the shops and eatery. The town grocery store is across the street. I promise if you stay here, you will not be let down!

There were several good things about the hotel. The outside was very cute, and the window boxes of flowers were nice. The location was great; less than a five minute walk to the beach and close to the restaurants and shops. They did a nice job of putting restaurant menus, local information, etc. in a binder which was handy. The toiletries were nice and they have a DVD player in the room with a lot of DVD s you can borrow. Also we never used it, but they have a lantern in the room that you can take to the beach at night. On the flip side, I think the cleanliness was lacking and they could use some updates (and I don t mean in decor). The sheets and towels look a little dingy and worn. The bottom of the shower did not look clean. It may be just stained from sand. I don t know. Our room had an odd smell to it. I don t know if it was a cleaner or pet odor, but I could hardly sleep for 2 of the 3 nights we were there because the smell bothered me. I would have gone to the office to let them know, but I never saw the office open the whole time I was there. I could have called someone to come over I m sure, but did not know how long it would take and had activities planned for the time we were there and did not want to sit in the room and wait for someone. I know there is a shortage of help, but was surprised to never see the office open. Again, in fairness to them, I did not call so that part is on me.

The Spindrift is such a sweet place to stay, in the loveliest of coastal Oregon towns. We have been repeat visitors and will keep on going any time of year! The ocean is right there, the rooms are clean and super comfortable, and the management excellent. If I could give 10 stars I would. It's a place where you find beauty and good food and the nicest of people!

They have been advertising newly updated rooms and have raised prices but they really didn't update what needs to be updated and that is the uncomfortable beds! They put in new wood flooring and new comforters, however my pillowcase had some stains, and towels had stains as well as the sheets had ink marks. We do stay here though because it's a great location and is clean.

Disappointing in all respects. Bug bodies in the windowsill. Kitchen amenities are less that sparse. Cleaning better won t make up for this sadly dated motel. Manzanita is a relaxing seaside repose away from the tourist hub. Yet, this motel is a gross disappointment. Don t wast your money and time staying at the worst place by one of the very the best beaches in the US!

We love the spindrift inn. It's our go-to spot when staying in Manzanita. Very dog friendly and super easy check-in. My only complaint would be the lack of curtains on the windows. The lights outside can be very bright and the blinds don't always cut it.

Reasonable room at a reasonable price in the center of town, but off the main road, so quiet. Mex restaurant in same building very good. Room serviceable, not luxurious, but clean. Everything worked, after a small toilet issue. Neighbors were quiet. I'd stay there again.

I've been staying here for years, but haven't been back since the remodel. I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. There was sand in my bed when I pulled the blankets down the first night (before I got in it!) like the sheets hadn't been washed. I had a dirty toilet seat...I wiped it off and there was residue :-( The bed is sagging in the middle. All for over $100 a night in a very rudimentary room. This occasion I'm staying in room one, which doesn't even have any windows. So without AC or taking the safety risk of leaving the door open to the parking lot all night, it gets VERY hot in the room, even in the evening. I've raved about this low-key place for years, but after this experience will not be returning. Quality has gone down hill for sure.

The doors lock automatically so if you accidentally leave your key in the room when you go out to your car, you get locked out of the room.....and the manager doesn't answer the phone or return calls. The office was only open from 4-5pm so we waited for a return call about being locked out but never got one (this was around 6pm). Luckily, we had opened one of the windows for fresh air and we were able to pop out the screen and get in the room that way. We never did get a return call about our lockout. There isn't an option to keep the door unlocked so make sure to ALWAYS have your key in your pocket or you'll be locked out of your own room with no management available to help!!!

Room was clean and quiet. There were ceramic mugs- not disposal cups in the room. Micro, fridge, blow dryer all worked fine. The front desk closes at 5, but they sent info on how to get into my room if I got there after 5. I arrived a few minutes after 5 to find the front desk still open and the person there was very friendly and checked me in. A short two block walk to the beach.

It suits my needs nicely! I ve stayed here a few times and find it quite comfortable. It s located within walking distance to great shops, coffee and restaurants that I enjoy. The staff are friendly and very helpful and they have a lot of good books for occupants to read!I plan on being a repeat customer!

We went here for Cinco de Mayo and the guy behind the counter was very nice. Anything we needed, he was willing to get. Our room had a beach theme and I appreciate the little details that went into making the room feel different than a stuffy hotel. The beds are very firm (at least in #2 it is) and overall, I look forward to coming back to this place. It's conveniently located by several restaurants, coffee shop, bar, and of course, the beach where you can catch a beautiful sunset and play in the sand. Oh, and the price was very affordable. :-)

Great, spacious room; clean, simple, better amenities (more soaps, washcloths, towels) than many comparably priced hotels. Easy walk to beach, food and coffee - what more do you need?

Room was good enough and it's right on the strip. However, we had the room right next to the front desk and the wall was so thin we could hear conversations through the wall from the front desk. We had the cheapest room so I guess we couldn't expect much, but hopefully they weren't all like that.

Pro's: Central location, very clean, pleasant staff, recently renovated, newer bedding. Con's:. Internet did not work (their brochure said it was sometimes "weak"--I found it non-existent.). Paid around $150, all in, which seemed high for what it is. No amenities such as hot tub or breakfast. Next time I would try the place closer towards the beach.

We loved staying here on our coast visit all while cleaning up the beach in Manzanita, Oregon. This is a relaxing location to stay and easy parking with trailer. Food right next door..

The room we got was small but very reasonably priced. Location is right where you want to be if you're staying in Manzanita. Also when you're in for the night they have a great selection of movies

Great stay in one of our favorite towns. Contact-less check in and check, walk to the grocery store and wine bar. And water pressure in the shower to be jealous of! Thanks for a great night stay!

My favorite place to stay on the coast. Quiet clean and a stones throw from MacGregor's! Be respectful of the town and its people while you are here, biggest complaint you hear is about rude outsiders.

Great location, cute updated and clean rooms. One block from the beach, and in the midst of shops and restaurants. My only complaint is the additional fee for each guest over two.

Very nice basic inn. Spacious rooms, free WiFi that works, nice DVD collection, clean, little kitchenettes, one block from the ocean, and in the middle of downtown Manzanita. Walk to the ocean, shops, and restaurants.
