Great experience! My pickup broke down while heading over the pass to see family. Called Santian Towing to come rescue us. They arrived promptly, got my vehicle picked up and towed to a service shop. Would highly recommend them if ever in the unfortunate need for a recovery and/or tow. Thank you.

Christmas Day 2022, my car breaks down by the side of a nameless farmland road 20 miles east of Salem. I call AAA and am told it'll probably be a couple hours before they can let me know if they can find somebody to help me. Long story short, Phillip from Santiam Towing was at my vehicle within half an hour. Absolutely amazing response time and equally impressive service. I needed a tow back over the pass for my barely running truck, Greg showed up promptly on a Saturday afternoon with an awesome attitude and a hand shake. He was professional and personable, had my truck loaded and heading down the road in 10 minutes or less. Thank you for the fantastic service STR!

I highly recommend Santiam Towing & Recovery, they are awesome! My car broke down and they were very quick, professional and friendly. Tim was so incredibly helpful and really professional, I cannot say enough good things about this company. I really felt that they care about their customers and want to make sure to provide top quality service, highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Not only were they professionals but they were also friendly, kind, and fast responders. My husband and I got stuck into a ditch going to Opal creek and we had no idea if we were going to be able to get out. Robert with his expertise and his judgement was able to get the car out of the ditch safe and sound. We were able to drive the rest of our road trip safe and sound. We cannot thank them enough for being able to work with us and getting us out of the deep ditch. I definitely recommend them being called first then anyone else around. Thank you for all your hard work!

Super fast friendly were able to recover and tow me to where I needed to go. Very professional would highly recommend. Mike my driver got me to where I needed to go and was extremely kind during the entire interaction.

The people who run this company. The drivers. And the woman who answers the phone are all scam artists and liars.. You will be lucky if you get the service you paid for.Was linked up with this company through triple A. A driver named Tim showed up to my crash site with excuses on why he couldn't get my vehicle with the truck he had. Also went into great detail about how ODOT was informed that he was dispatched and my truck would not be towed by anyone but him until the following day. Even went as far to tell me and my ride that he himself is the only driver odot calls to remove vehicles from hwy 214. The next day, after more excuses as to why they couldn't come on time like traffic,and fog(which there was no fog for miles around the crash site.) I finally get the text they are there at the site seven hours after the original time. I get a ride. Go over there. No tow truck. My vehicle is gone. I call odot. They had another company Keith's towing in Mt. Angel remove it. And now when I call santiam, they try telling me that their own driver Tim never told me any of what he did, because the system that he explained to me about how odot knows if a vehicle is being dispatched to doesn't exist. Oh and the real kicker aside from Tim lying to me so he could get his hours of drive time, the other company that did take my truck at odots request did so with the same style flatbed that I was originally told would not be able to retrieve it.

This review has been a long time coming! About a year ago STR rescued our family from HYW 22 on 4th of July weekend! The owners had given their staff the weekend off and actually responded to our breakdown! We were a family of 4 headed to Eagle Crest and Bend for the holiday weekend. Our vehicle crapped out east of Detroit and had very spotty cell coverage to call for a tow.Long story short, STR went above and beyond calling in an extra passenger vehicle to assist our young scared stranded family get back to safety. We can t thank you all enough for your kindness and compassion, yet still providing the essential towing services! We will never forget your kindness and compassion. Our trailer blew a tire on highway 22. We were stuck in a pretty precarious spot and needed some help to be safe. STR arrived quickly and was nothing but courteous and helpful! We are really grateful! Thank you STR!

This company was a great towing experience for us!!!! Rachel was sincerely nice and polite over the phone. And helped us with a 197 mile tow from oregon to washington right when we needed it. The driver was extremely trust worthy and professional! Would definitely recommend to friends & family. Thank you guys soo much, we appreciate your service!

Dan at Santiam T & R is one of the most professional and helpful employees in the service industry I have ever encountered. Our car broke down today (Christmas Eve). No day is ever a good day to have one s car break down, but on a holiday as you re heading see family, even worse. Dan s demeanor, and professionalism helped to take a bad situation and make it much better than we could have expected. I want to add...the inside of the vehicle was clean AND smelled good. A first for me as a passenger in a tow truck :) I mentioned this to Dan. He said something to the effect that when he goes to pick up people who have been stranded and/or in need of roadside assistance that he wanted them to feel comfortable and welcome, not further stressed. Need I say more? Thanks Dan....my husband and I are very appreciative.

My car was stolen and a couple days later it was found. I was at work at the time so I couldn t pick it up. So it was towed by santiam towing. So I m expecting to pay about $150-$180 no this place wants to charge $550 to get it out. Even though it only sat there for 8 hours if that. So not only did my car get stolen once but now I m being robbed again by this tow company. It s not right. Anyone that gets towed better pray it s not by this scandalous company.

Last night I was driving over Santian Pass when I slid off the road and ended up almost completly on my side down an embankment. When I called to get towed out I was able to talk to a very nice man that new exactly where I was at, with the very little info I could give him. They sent a man named John to tow me out and said he would be there in 30-45 mins. In about exactly 45 mins in the heavy snow and the ice/snow packed highway John arrived. He appoached me with such a warm and calming presence. Not only did he talk with me and explain everything he was going to do, but also reassured me everything would be ok. John treated me as if I was a friend and not a customer. John pulled my car out with such skill that there was not even a scratch *luckly* from the accident or from him having to pull the car out of such a awkward spot and angle. After he was done dealing with my car he made sure myself and my little dog were ok. I also was intouch with a gentleman named BJ that took care of all my AAA paperwork and he was just as great as John. Between John and BJ, I was back on the road in no time. I can not say enough about John, he was a very nice man and is excellent at his job. I would recommend this towing company to anyone, they were so proffesional and nice.

Needed recovery on Sunday morning in a no cell-phone area. OSP called these guy. By the time, tow truck arrived cop had left. Driver got pissy with me for cop leaving. Thought he could recover vehicle without cop on sight. Well, whose the professional? Obviously, he wasn't. He looked like he just crawled out of bed. Very unprofessional, rude. Smoked a cigarette the whole time. If you can, stay away from STR Santiam Towing and & Recovery.

Santiam Towing and Recovery merits more than 5 stars from us! We were involved in a 3-car collision on Santiam Pass. The response from STR was prompt, professional and compassionate. After towing our vehicle from the scene STR owner Mike provided his own truck and driver Jim to drive us and our possessions to PDX. When no rental truck was available? Mike and Jim granted our request to drive us the additional 200 miles to our home in Snohomish, WA. We're profoundly grateful to Mike, Jim and Ray, "our crew" from STR. Had our car towed and when we went to get it back don't know what the hell they did but the hood was all scratched up and you can see where they tried to buff it out cuz well it didn't work scratches still there plus whatever was left on there I had to wipe off. Looking in to legal action my car was in there possession and I believe they should be responsible for the damage.

Towed my car off Hwy 22 before I could even call someone for help. Tow company for Progressive said $480 to my home in Albany. When I called this company that had towed it to Lyons & quoted me $1036. And would be adding daily storage.
