My partner and I reached out to Courtney for a next-day pre purchase inspection on a used vehicle we were looking to purchase. Courtney was communicative, quick, and very thorough! He helped us understand the anticipated maintenance on the car and some points to discuss with our dealership. Amazing service and would recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle inspection!

Highly recommend. Courtney and Lou were wonderful! Prompt response to my inquiry about repair. Provided same day service. I needed a new hose and they went to multiple places to locate the hose and returned to install same day. Explained the repair to me and what caused the issue. Reasonable price. Professional. Friendly. Dependable.

Amazing response time and true expertise. They got to me within about two hours of receiving my call and fixed a heavy duty problem with the axle. My car was fully operational within about four hours of contacting them. Highly recommend.

Courtney and Lou rock!! Courtney was helpful and patient in coordinating times with my busy schedule and the holidays. Once on the job, they were able to diagnose and fix an electrical issue that previously left me stumped on my 88 bronco II in an afternoon. I d recommend them to anyone and will definitely be reaching back out for future car needs.

Had a great experience using mobile Pdx. Normally I use a different mechanic, but I was lucky. My guy couldn t get my vehicle in for a week. But mobile Pdx was able to come out the day of calling them. Got my spark plugs swapped out and cleaned out my PCV valve. All within about an hour and half. My car was up and running smoothly. And they came to my location. They kept my repairs fairly inexpensive. Definitely recommend. Courtney and Luke are a great duo who know what they are doing. Amazing job:)Service: Engine repair

Courtney and Lou are the best!! They are great mechanics, but also good and kind men. My partner and I had been stumped on an issue with my Honda CRV, and they were able to come out within a week and diagnose the problem(s). They came back out several times to help finish the job and even gave us a couple parts on their own dime. Once we got the car working we all did a celebratory hug, it was the best! I also really appreciated how they explained everything to me that was going on with my car in a kind, non man-splaining way :)I really trust these knowledgeable fellas, and I d recommend them to anyone. So much appreciated and a job well done. Ps, thanks for teaching us that cool handshake that s one for the books.

The line he used "Was under promise and overperform" The reason for their 5 stars is the "overperform". 7 of 8 wheel studs had somehow sheared off the divers side rear dually on the RV while driving. On the road and in Cascade Locks, miles from anywhere that could fix it. Ya cant move it, last one could snap. Courtney understood the danger, gave the best explanation of scenarios that might occur, drove the hour+ to us and on the roadside removed, repaired and replaced the rear wheel hub and tires. There was more, he drove with the ladies to the next town to have the tires replaced and to make sure all was well. I was 3000 miles away, in Alaska, from my girlfriend who was driving. All done by phone and a certain amount of trust in a man, his word, and his crew, who may sound a little gruff and direct but who's word is bankable. Father and son team, extraordinarily skilled mechanics highly knowledgeable masters at the lost art of troubleshooting. These two come to you and are quick to diagnose just as fast to repair and stand by their work. Impressive. I highly recommend mobile pdx. Love these guys. Why go anywhere else. ?Some people are in business for profit and personal gain, this father and son business model is simple, provide a valuable service for your community doing what God gifted you to do. I personally witnessed Courtney as he fielded incoming phone calls. Women and people who are in vulnerable situations are never turned down. Very noble team and well worth all of our support and business. This is my personal endorsement and it is my pleasure to do so. Courtney was the only car inspection company in Portland to answer on the first call. He was very knowledgeable, responsive and available quickly. The dealership was familiar with Courtney and felt he was very thorough. Besides a sticky door, the car has been perfect and I wouldn't have been comfortable traveling 3 hours to buy a car sight unseen without the double check. Most other places didn't even return the call or called to say "no". I'm very grateful to Mobile PDX.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I want Courtney to literally be my life coach and advisor for all things! I found him to be easy, direct, and super efficient. He is good humored and spoke to me with respect and thoughtfulness despite my lack of car knowledge and a lower end car. He provided me a detailed review, gave super accurate time frames and documentation, and even answered a follow up question. He never spoke about others with disrespect or pushed a single service on me. While I may be shopping with some rougher dealers, he made me feel confident about my next steps which is empowering and worth ever penny.

Courtney was amazing to work with. I called and left a message after hours requesting to discuss a pre purchase inspection for a vehicle, and he was very prompt in responding. He ended up coordinating the inspection with the seller and completing the process in less than 24 hours from when I had originally reached out to him. He wrote out a checklist with the major details from the inspection and sent it to me, then called and verbally reported the highlights, potential concerns, additional details, and his opinion about the vehicle, and also allowed me to ask any questions that I had (I live out of town so particularly appreciated the clear communication). I called Courtney in the morning about an acceleration issue with my car, and he arrived at my location within five minutes to look at the problem. By the end of that same day, he had replaced the fuel pump in my car. They provided excellent service and are very kind people! I could not recommend them enough!

Super glad for mobilePDX. I had car issues during snow and I was working. Left keys with a friend and car was fixed for me while I was at work, and a cheaper solution than i had originally thought . Thanks for coming out in the weather, and honesty.

Courtney responded promptly to my message asking for a presale used car inspection. He was able to set up and get the inspection done quickly. I talked to the seller after I purchased the vehicle and they said that Courtney was thorough and professional. I will recommend Mobile PDX to others as well as call on them in the future.

Courtney of Mobile PDX is THA MAN!!! I called him from out of state in the hopes that he could squeeze in a used car inspection-- same day-- that morning, even (ridiculous, I know!)-- so that I could beat out other interested buyers in a car I'd found in Portland. I called at just past 7am and Courtney picked up and next got right back to me to let me know that he could in fact squeeze me in. I was STOKED! Next, he made my inspection the first appointment of his day and the inspection he did was very, very thorough. The seller even noted this! What followed was, lucky for me, a glowing report from Courtney on the car I wanted, and he sent me his completed checklist and also went over with me on the phone all of the things I needed to know in order to make an informed purchase. He even gave me recommendations for different sized tires to accommodate the off-road use I asked about. All in all I am 200% satisfied with Mobile PDX's work! Not only did Courtney do a fantastic job that enabled me to make a decision to buy this car with total confidence, he came through with the timing I needed to make it happen. Incredibly friendly and fair. Worked directly with Courtney who came to my car and evaluated whether he d be able to do the job effectively and at a price less than the dealership. Although I was referred to the dealership for the work (specific circumstances), I was given his expert opinion free of charge.Will absolutely be returning to them in the future. Highly recommend.

Unless you re a mechanic, I think it s crazy to buy a pre-owned vehicle without an inspection first. I had found an SUV I wanted to purchase from a dealership. I was fortunate to have selected Mobile PDX (based on their 30 years in the business and their reviews) as my first choice to perform the inspection. Courtney, owner of Mobile PDX, was quick to respond, and fortunately was able to fit me into his busy schedule on a Saturday afternoon.He was thorough, employing computer diagnostics, physical inspection of everything, and a test drive. He was detailed in explaining to me what his findings were, and what I might anticipate in the future based on the vehicle, its age and his overall findings. I did buy the SUV that day. The money spent for that inspection was well worth the peace of mind knowing I was fully informed about my purchase.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Courtney was straightforward and to the point. He communicated clearly and promptly when I called him while on a cross country trip from Michigan to Oregon to look at my daughter's Ford Escape in Portland. He provided his professional opinion and advised us as to how he would deal with the issue, and provided all of this without charging us the ridiculous amount local garages charged to just look at the vehicle. My brother recommended Mobile PDX to me to get an inspection on a used Mazda CX-5 I wanted to buy. Spoke with Courtney and he asked for the dealership and the vehicle information and immediately called the dealership and set up a time the next day with them. Next morning I got a text that he got the inspection done and I paid for it over the phone and shortly after he sent the receipt and his notes of the inspection. He then called me to discuss the inspection and was very honest and thorough and gave me tips on how to maintain the car long term. Loved working with him! I definitely recommend him for pre-purchase inspection. Would love to continue to support this small/father-and-son business!

Courtney has helped me twice in the past year. The most recent was replacing the alternator on my Subaru when it had failed and my car had died. Courtney came out on a Sunday evening no less and was able to diagnose it and order the replacement alternator for next day. His coming to me saved me the hassle of getting it towed to a shop on a Sunday night without knowing if I could get an appointment etc. It's incredibly convenient and just like last year when he replaced a dead battery on another car for me, he again was friendly, professional, and charged exactly what he quoted. I will definitely use him again, whenever I need a mechanic.

Courtney was absolutely fantastic - I was so panicked when my car started smoking and not only did he come out after he d closed for the day but he was very encouraging! I called this company to set up a Pre Buy Inspection for a car I was interested in buying. I was 2 hours away and had never seen the car in person. I did not even know this type of service was available until I called them. They explained everything they would check and how the process would work. I did not end up needing them because the car sold before I could arrange the appointment. I will definitely use them before I even look at my next car purchase. Highly recommend. As all the other reviews mention, Courtney is amazing. Clearly communicated what he was going to do, came out to the dealer late the same day when no one else would, test drove until 7pm+ and then gave me a detailed rundown on his findings and what I should be bringing up to the dealer and why. Knows the biz and his craft, and is honest and upfront - will be using and recommending Mobile PDX as a mechanic going forward.

Wonderful experience! Last month, my car's catalytic converter was stolen. I wanted someone's opinion to see if anything else was damaged and if my car was still drivable, so I could take it to a shop. Called up Mobile PDX and Courtney was out to help me a few hours later. It took just a few minutes and he was so kind. He referred me to a shop to help me get it fixed the next day. Helped me have the best possible experience from such an annoying situation.
