This music store is legendary. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I have been coming here since I was in high school and I have never regretted it. Do yourself a favor and don t let some amateur install your car stereo system a lesson I learned the hard way.. take it to Lagrande Stereo and thank me later.

I have been enjoying the Grand stereo and music for over 25 years. It is about a 45 minute drive and well worth it.

Was in there 5 years ago, got a new stereo, tweeters, subwoofers and back up camera. Got a great deal and the staff was very helpful. Went there yesterday, had a problem with my back up camera. It stopped working. They were right on it. Got a great deal on a new one. They was very understanding about my situation and treated me great. I will definitely go back there again.

Took my electric guitar in to repair a tuning peg. Marshal did an excellent job of replacing the peg with parts from the original retaining the exact look of the other pegs. I was very pleased with his workmanship. Thanks Marshal.Stu was also very cordial and fun to talk to.

These guys have been my one and only for 15 years now, they have everything I ll ever need and have been more than reasonably eager to order anything extra they don t have. At a place like this you really can feel the love for music and art! They have fair prices and knock my socks off with the service!

Used to buy cassette tapes back in the late eighties and early nineties, still has the same great feel! Recently stopped in with car stereo issues and Stu jumped right on it. Had me running again in no time. Much appreciated! Thanks!

Terrible service. I purchased two compact subwoofers in 3 years and neither would be warrantied after they failed. Needed a third. Was told I needed to make an appointment because they were busy. I did for a week out. Showed up on time and was delayed several times so they could assist other people without an appointment. Spent an hour there with less than 10 minutes of attention. The entire team needs to learn what customer service is. I would not recommend this business.

Used to go here as a high schooler 30 years ago. It is still running strong and has instruments, music (LPs and CDs), and car audio. Neat to see them going strong!

I bought a pair of 6 x 9 s for my car and had them installed. The customer service was great until the installation. It took them 4 1/2 hours to put two 6 x 9 s in my car for my rear speakers. When I got the car back both speakers rattled because he only put two screws in one side of each speaker. When I took the car back he told me that was very hard installation and the screws wouldn t fit. He also tried to put off the rattle of the speakers to distortion. (When you pay to have a job done you expect it done and done right.) He finally put the car back in the shop and in about 30 minutes had four more screws in the speakers so they were fastened securely. It was not done right. By my observation, he didn t care about his work or how good it was he just wanted to get it done. Also there is a problem with the sound with the speakers he installed. I will deal with the problem myself, I will not take my car back. Very disappointed!

Great staff and great guitar techs. They know what they're doing. Very personable, nice guys!I think it's rare to find such guitar tech expertise in a somewhat small and out of the way place,that's reasonably close to home. Marshall and Stew set up my MTD 5-string perfectly. I don'tneed to take it anywhere else. Thanks guys!

I just went in there once, to buy guitar strings, but the guy there was very friendly, helpful, and appreciative of my small bit of business. The store was clean, but well stocked with all kinds of different items. Seems like a great place to get your music stuff.

The technician was very welcoming and immediately solved an intonation problem with a guitar that I really liked that was on there shelf that I wanted to play. I came into the store with intentions to trade or purchase a new guitar with trade on my violin. The owner looked at my violin and as soon as he heard me say trade walked off to help another customer and ignored me completely even though I had plenty of money to outright buy any guitar I wanted in that store. Mister owner you could learn a thing or two from your very courteous technician who helped me with a standard not knowing my intentions of trade or outright purchase never judge a book by its cover.

Very friendly and willing to give great deals. Good selection of guitars and accessories as well as lots of other music related offerings. Very happy with the guitar and amp as well as several accessiries purchased here. Have recieved excellent service from the owner and the various employees.

Took over 4 days and 6 different phone calls just to Schedule an appointment. Got treated terrible once I got there and had to wait about 5 hours for them to work on my car even though I had taken all the panels they needed off of my car and most of my wires already ran. I was there till 10:45 at night when they finally finished my car. On my way home my stereo had worked awesome. The next morning I had a dead battery because of a bad remote wire. I did not have a good experience at all and will not bring my car back again.

Greatest music store this side of the moon. I have long since left La Grande but have been back to share this special little spot of the earth with my kids. This will always be my go-to music shop!

Awesome! Was able to purchase a new acoustic youth guitar for my son. And the Men were nice enough to drop the price Alot compared to the original! We are overly satisfied

Every time we go to La Grande, my husband has a great talk with the employees and ends up buying another ukulele! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Great selection as well.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The person that answered the phone is lucky I wasn't standing there face to face and was on the other end of the phone. Rude and horrid customer service. I wouldn't buy anything from this place ever now and I will be sure to tell every human being breathibg oxygen on this planet not to shop there. I asked 1 simple question and was treated like I was a nuisance and I was asking an absurd question like how dare I. Pathetic excuse for a customer service rep. I am so angry I seriously can't wait to walk in there and meet him face to face.

I had LaGrande stereo put in a JVC system. It was loose in the dash after I picked it up. I had to go back myself and fix it right. Foolishly I took it back to have speakers put in the dash and they told me if I did most of the labor, they could install them. Cost of the speakers, $89.00. Labor, $250.00

I've been a customer of Mikes way back when his store was on Adams Ave (1970s) bad business owners don't last that long. Mike has always been a honest,honorable man, I'm living in Florida for the last 5 yrs, when my grandson who lives in Lagrande called me and expressed he would like to learn to play guitar, I knew who to call, I called mike and he set him up that day, with encouraging words from Mike my grandson is on top of the world today, Thanks Mike ! Nice to see your still the best shop in the 4 county area, very good man,business owner, Damm good picker too!!!

Below satisfactory experience. Sadly this will be the last chance I give you Lagrande stereo and music. They sold my mother a broken mandolin for my birthday and when I went to their store to make it right I was met with a wave of denial and refusal for cash refund and a complete lack of accountability for the product sold to us. Was forced to take the floor model mandolin to replace it. If I have the same issue when I get home to the other side of the state I will just take it elsewhere for repairs and maintenance.

Had a backup camera installed and it looks good works good but it's only been a few minutes since he finished it. Price was great!!!!!

Found all sorts of vinyl a harmonica for the boy and a new Primus CD for myself. Friendly helpful staff was quite attentive. Though I wasn't in the market at the time I realized they have electronics which seem like quality equipment.
