Excellent Machinists at the CarQuest Machine Shop. Andy made it an excellent experience and did just what was expected. He went out of his way to complete a difficult machining task in a quick manner. Fair pricing for amazing work. I Highly recommend them for any of your machine shop needs!

Great service, and if they don't have parts, have special orders arrive on time

Seven years ago Andy was highly recommended when I needed my heads rebuilt. I'm glad he did them - My 600 HP boosted engine has worked flawlessly since then. He also fit the floating diamond-like-carbon coated piston wrist pins in my titanium connecting rods, and balanced the rotating assembly. I know it's been awhile, but I was cleaning out files, found the old receipts, and wanted to check back in with a positive review. Thanks Andy and Carquest of Junction City.

I had a headlight go out and decided to stop here while I was passing thru town. Mike helped me pick some new ones for a good price. He even installed them for me, free of charge, even though it was raining and the store was closing soon. Thankful for the assistance, and great service from the employees!

I was a long time customer, but my most recent experience was horrible. I dropped off my engine for cleaning, inspection, and machining. The guys at the counter said the whole process would take 6-8 weeks. They had also asked if they were to source parts, to which I said yes. Seven weeks go by, radio silence. I call, and Teo explains that they were waiting for my okay, and that they had called. My phone log showed otherwise, no call or voice-mail. At this time, the work should have been finished. What was estimated time wise, ended up being three months, and four return trips. Two for incorrect parts, and two more because the machinist installed my press-fit cam gear BACKWARDS. I called the owner, who in person, did not bother to introduce himself to me. I then called a regional representative who talked up and down about how John (owner of this location) was so involved in his community and customers. After telling him my story, he didn't have much to say. Still waiting to hear back as he had promised, going on three months now.....The point of this review is that while the machine shop may perform good work, the communication between the shop and counter is TERRIBLE. You must keep on them or they forget. They are happy to take your money though. I will drive further, to another machinist, who values their customers, before I tolerate this lack of professionalism.

With access to the best quality parts, a machine shop, and having a staff with decades of knowledge, Carquest should be the only place in Junction City to get auto parts. After multiple interactions, being made to feel that my business is an inconvenience to the employees at Carquest, i'm now feeling compelled to leave a comment.I purchase most of my auto parts down the road at O'Reilly's these days, because the staff is friendly, attentive, treat me like my business matters, even if i'm there to find a twenty cent bolt someone will spend twenty minutes helping me find that twenty cent bolt.My guess is that the management at O'Reilly's knows that good customer service always pays dividends.

Great store, great selection of parts, counter parts staff is excellent... these guys by and large know their stuff inside and out. The machine shop is solid and they have gotten me out of plenty of jams with almost always a very quick turnaround. While the machine shop is not equipped to handle everything i've thrown at them, i'm usually impressed with what they ARE able to do and coming back with reasonable prices... All in all, a machine shop connected to a well equipped auto parts store is pretty cool. I just wish they bring back the soda fridge.

Not great. I am sure the machine shop can do great things but it took 3 different techs and a 15 minute wait to decide if my rotors could be turned. It was also more expensive to turn rotors than to replace them?? The counter staff in the parts section are also way less than helpful. If you ship here have a part number handy. Don't expect them to look anything up.

Came in with a bearing issue and the machinist came back in to work just to press it for me, on a saturday, how awesome is that customer service! 5 freaking stars!

Had a terrible experience at Carquest. They owed me money and told me to come back later for my refund. They refused to give me my original parts back Until I physically came into the store with my credit card to accept their refund. They actually sent me away without my parts requiring me to show up with my card to capture their refund.Super ridiculous. These folks will waste your time and they just don t care.

Broke down on my way up the highway and was forced to stop and try and diagnose/fix. These guys not only helped me with the finding the right parts or similar parts that I needed to try and make a repair myself but went out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of with any additional assistance I may have needed during my long break down. Thanks again guys

These guys are not only knowledgeable but a lot of these guys are mechanics. They stock things for any car I have and also the lawn mowers I have. I have been coming here for over 10 years and I have never had a complaint . That's not true of other places.

I dropped off a simple part to be machined three months ago. Andy told me it wouldn't be a problem to install bearing races on my part. I called after waiting two months and Andy told me, he hadn't touched it. I dropped by three weeks later and the part still hadn't been touched. Andy had lost one of my bearings, that was special ordered from Germany. He made no attempt to find it or offered any kind of apology.

Gary and Andy the machinists at Car Quest have done an an amazing job of intricate work on many different projects that I have had & I can say that I have known both of them for close to 30 years and have NEVER been let down! The amount of quality shops that take on big projects are rare these days its nice to see old fashioned service!!

Friendly service and they had what I was looking for at a much better price than the other 3 car part stores. When I worked for a local automotive repair shop, Carquest was always great to deal with.

Best parts store in the valley. The inventory is amazing from big to small. Customer service can't get any better. John knows what his customers want and the employees can and will figure it out.

I sent my girlfriend in to have some wheel bearings pressed out and new ones pressed in. I was told over the phone it would be $30 a side. After dropping off the axles I was charged a $120. I've been coming here for this service for a few years and have never paid that price. They told my gf some made up bs exuse why it was so much. She doesn't know much about vehicles she left confused. When I called the next day I was basically told it is what it is. Nothing we can do about that..I can say I will not be coming back here and will be letting everyone know how they take advantage of any customer they can to make some extra money. It's pathetic and morally wrong

Really the only car parts store worth going to, especially if you are rural and need farm/homestead type parts. The employees I have encountered are very knowledgeable.

Average prices. The staff had no idea what I needed when they didn't have my vacuum hose in stock and I had to fabricate a new one. I needed a double make coupler with two different diameters. Knekts had what I needed to make a new hose although the didn't have the proper vacuum hose either.

Good selection of parts but, the guy who helped me was really unfriendly. He seemed more interested in having a phone conversation and talking with the delivery lady then helping me with what I needed........

Way overpriced. Staff are always rude. No price matching. Double the cost of other locations for machine work. Not ever impressed. Only use them if I have to.
