Amazing! Well worth a visit. The most beautiful, perfectly restored collection of old cars I've seen! The planes were awesome, too! With a couple of interactive displays and videos about the history of flying. The volunteers are very knowledgeable.Planning a return visit soon!

Highly recommended museum to see tons of planes, cars and stuff from the 1900s to 2000s. Trucks, Army related stuff and many items are on display. The owner is very handsom and explains everything. Loved it and was a really good stop.

We went for the Model T driving school which was awesome. Getting the opportunity to drive one of these old cars was a treat. The museum is spectacular, everything is clean and well cared for. They do a great job. I highly recommend stopping and looking around.

I am so sincerely impressed with our visit today. Every single employee or volunteer was cheerful, helpful and inviting. My son loves all things plane, train and automobile. So I kid you not when I say he was more excited to come here than when we went all the way to Disney World! Second Saturday events are awesome. The whole facility and all the displays are clean, well-arranged, and in great shape. It was a joy to participate in riding in the older vehicles. And beyond all that, prices for everything were great from the entrance fee, to lunch, to souvenirs. We spent less than $70 for 2 of us. Thank you for a great time. We will be back. And will we bring others!!

A bit overwhelming at first. This place is big and keeps getting bigger as you go along. A wonderful staff and gift shop. A highlight was the roaming (scooter) volunteers. These guys are a wealth of information and stories. Just when you think you have seen everything, there is more around every corner. Plan on sending at least two hours or more. Most of the collection is road or air worthy making it a special museum. Most everything is housed under 3 acres of building and very comfortable. Restroom was clean and they even have a snack bar. What a treat on a wet spring day. Definitely worth a return visit.

Visited Hood River during a very cool, rainy period for the month of April 2023. Struggling to find things to do during inclement weather, found WAAAM on Trip Advisor. We are not particularly car people but found this museum and all the volunteers who work there delightful. With more than 3 1/2 hangar acres of antique and classic cars, planes, motorcycles and more, there is so much to see. One thing that makes this museum unique is that all of the vehicles are operable and are used periodically for special events and parades. Consider going on the Second Saturday play day when a few of the airplanes, cars and other motorized vehicles are taken out, rides are given. We spent 2 enjoyable hours there before we here on overload with all to see. Included a few photo favorites we saw during our visit.

We were in town on a little over night visit and stumbled across this museum. This was the highlight of the trip for me! I ve been to several auto, aerospace and airplane museums and this is probably my favorite. Joel was a real treat, popping by on his scooter with tidbits and information. This place is huge, so give yourself plenty of time and definitely check out the super car wing!

LOTS to see here and everything kept in immaculate condition by an army of dedicated volunteers. Anyone who appreciates antiques or machinery would love this place. This is not a hands on museum so if you have kids who are used to children's museums you'll be chasing them and saying "no, stop touching that!" A lot. Plus you have to pay to get in so if you're just looking for a quick and easy place to let your kids run out some energy, keep looking.

I was talking with a friend about automobile museums in the US and remember enjoying this museum. It was quite a while ago. I must had forgotten to leave a review. I remember there was a lot to see besides airplanes and cars. I am glad I made the trip. The museum is huge.

Today we visited WAAAM for the first time. Despite a brief and fast go through we all were indeed thrilled to see the wonderful collections with well maintained display. Simply Great! Congratulations to all those who shaped this wonderful museum and appreciate all - the Chairman, Committee Members, Volunteers and every contributor. Thanks.

Very amazing volunteer ran museum. I cannot wait to go back with more time! The donated pieces are just magnificent, and the attention to detail is incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would say fun for all ages, if you like vehicles. Big gift shop, cool items just everywhere. There was even a small vintage sectionw ith some neat model planes. The restrooms were clean. If you ask nicely you can take a ride in a few of their model t's. Donations appreciated, please donate if you are able to. Tour was available as well, was on a poker run, so casually perused the museum. Will be back. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

This museum is located in Hood River, about an hour and a half east of Portland and is maintained by enthusiasts. It houses many old aeroplanes, automobiles and bikes. You can see some of the older steam engine cars that are still in good running condition as they are regularly serviced. It's like candy land for car and aeroplane lovers. I was excited to see a Wright Brothers Glider. Some of the aeroplanes have documentary videos shown right in front of them for context. There is a pretty gift shop too.

Fantastic, fine time touring this large facility filled with awesome antique aircraft and autos. Attractively arranged with these items were other antiques of the day. World class exhibits spanning 100 years. Small settings dotted the museum with chairs in front of small TV sets running programs that gave details about the nearby displays. If you know a little about the times, you're going to know a whole lot more when you are done. So very worthy of your time and money to enter. I'm sure you will be glad you visited. Gift shop is full of items that you know are chosen for the theme of the museum.Cost is a small factor considering how much you gain. It's easily an all day field trip. Bring a sack lunch. Drinks are there in a vending machine where they have a lunch table you can use. Restrooms are available to wash up or use as needed.Volunteers are wonderful. They roam around on their electric trikes and ask if you have any questions. Knowledge they have, you should ask. They were a blast to chat up, they came around one at a time. Enjoyed them all, five or so men on trikes in the big hangars. Then there were the women in the front who took our entry fee, also gave us a map of Hood River with places to eat as we had stopped in before lunch and worked up an appetite during our nearly two-hour tour.Displays on the walls tell many stories of men at war and women who were part of the action as well. It's so big you need to allow at least two hours or you will be promising to come back. Parking lot is big. Outside of the place belies the awesome things awaiting inside for your viewing pleasure. For sure, tis a great place to spend a rainy day.Friendly awaits inside. History entertains the imagination, as always when pondering the power of the people who lived before us. We hurried through, relying on our photos to help us study the details. We're already making a plan to return.

We spent at least 3 hours here and could have easily spent more time. The volunteers were full of knowledge, friendly, and happy to talk. They were also helpful when we asked for restaurant suggestions. We were there on a day that you could ride in some of the cars and that was amazing! You can come and go all day on a pass so make sure you plan plenty of time. We will definitely be back to visit again.

Soooo cool!!! Great for families with children as well. They have a hands on kid area where they can sit in a sub, climb in a plane and much more. Must see for a vintage car and plane lover. Very friendly staff. Super neat displays. Cost was decent. We went on a week day when food wasnt available but they do have a little cafe, and clean restrooms. Totally recommend for all ages.

Definitely worth a visit. Besides airplanes and cars there are many other interesting collections. Have two nice sitting areas for you to take a break if you would like. You can purchase drinks and snacks from vending machines as well. I would start in the far rooms and work my way back next time. Great gift shop too. Just incredible and beautiful. Very helpful staff and volunteers.

Definitely worth a visit, although I would have preferred some hands on exhibits. Even being able to sit in some of the vehicles/aircrafts would've been cool. That said the vintage automobile collection had me swooning. All vehicles are fully operational apparently which is super cool, volunteers are extremely sweet. I spent precisely 2 hours here but you could easily spend half a day if you wanted to and are interested in aircrafts/automobiles
