After losing power twice this winter in our electrically heated home we decided to add a second heat source. We met with Chris (owner) from True Gorge Stoves & Spas in his shop to select a model suitable for our needs. Chris was informative and helpful in discussing our options. We settled on the Green Mountain 60 woodstove for its excellent rating and great looks. Chris made a visit to our home to help in selecting the best place to install our stove. He answered our questions and educated us on pros and cons with each location I asked about. We were able to select an install date (also without issue). Even when I had questions about what impact weather had on the process, I got clear info and confidence about their capabilities. When it came time to put the stove in, our installers (Jayce and Jovani) later showed up as scheduled. They were polite, quick, and also answered any questions I had during the process. They also gave care to limit the mess and cleaned up when leaving. We are extremely pleased with the whole process, start to finish with True Gorge Stoves and Spas. They offer good selection, helpful skilled staff and talented installers. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing the services they offer! Oh yeah as you can see....it looks great too!

We purchased a modern STUV 21-105 fireplace from True Gorge Stoves and Spas. They did the installation as well. I am happy with the process. The front office staff is knowledgeable and provided valuable materials that made it easier to finalize our decision. Chris visited us before the installation making the required measurements and making sure that the installation would not have problems. He also gave some ideas about finishing options, installers do not do any finishing work but could connect to other companies. The ordering process was smooth and a team installed the fireplace on the promised date. Two installers - Jayce and his helper were knowledgeable, professional, and friendly and did an excellent job - and this fireplace is not easy to install due to its size and weight.I hope that we truly enjoy our new toy during cold winter days.Based on my experience I would highly recommend True Gorge Stoves and Spas for installations and repairs.

When my gas heating stove died in the middle of winter, Greg, the technician, was willing to come to my house in the boonies where it's hard to get service, got to us within a couple of days, and did an outstanding job of fixing the problem at a fair price. He was quick, polite, friendly, and as a single woman, I felt very comfortable having him in my house. I'd highly recommend them. Thanks, True Gorge!

Hugely disappointed with their spa service asked their service guy to come out and assess my hot tub he came out told me what he thought it needed.$1600 later never worked for more than a couple days and quit working .A lot of parts replaced it was not fixed and the owner told me to cut my losses was a huge bummer for me and $1600 later I have to haul off a hot tub instead of telling me they couldn t fix it I wasted a bunch of money I would never take my business there again. How about you refund my money and you cut your losses.

We were so impressed with our True Gorge experience. We wanted a Mitsubishi split installed at our small home. Rather than the common wall mounted unit, we wanted a floor mounted unit. The owner of True Gorge came to our house, made all sorts of great suggestions, answered all our questions, and provided us with a detailed proposal. There was no doubt that he thoroughly new the product line. A few days later, the very professional installers arrived and they had been made completely aware of the details and constraints. The installers respected our home including protecting the hardwood floors where they were working. They buttoned-up the project completely: Covering pipes, filling any holes with insulation and foam, and vacuuming the area. After the job was complete, we received a phone call to update the final invoice amount. The owner told us that, even though we might not notice, they hadn t needed to used some parts in the proposal and he wanted to refund some money. This was a great experience and we highly recommend True Gorge.

Dear True Gorge Stoves & Spas.We can't thank you enough for coming through with our wood stove installation just in the nick of time (Dec. 23, 2015) despite the adverse weather conditions and a crazy driveway and an even crazier roof pitch. We lost power the next day, but had heat!Chris and John were friendly, professional and worked quickly and efficiently, and we greatly appreciate the attention to detail (screws in the collar to keep it from being pushed out when we clean the pipe, perfect paint on the pipes, perfect placement of the stove, careful loosening of the jammed flue lever in the stove.)All in all it was a great experience to do business with you. We will recommend you to our friends and family, and we'll be back!Thanks again,Steve and Sandi De'ak

Very great communicating, the tech guys who came out were super pleasant, professional, and made sure things were working as they should. Highly unusual that the fan on our brand new gas stove did not work. They were Johnny-on-the-Spot getting a replacement ordered and installed for us. Highly recommend them! The stove works GREAT.

True Gorge Stoves & Spas is my go-to for fireplaces. I have bought 3 fireplaces from them over the years, even while living at the coast. I can't find anyone who compares to their knowledge and service. I have recommended them to friends and neighbors who have all been extremely satisfied as well. You guys do a great job!

From start to finish the True Gorge team has been nothing short of spectacular. After visiting the store, we were able to effectively communicate our choice of product and install location via email. Super easy. Chris was outstanding in helping us understand the process and product. We purchased a J�tul F 3 CB. It's small but mighty and warms our 1200 sq. ft. home in Stevenson, WA like a champ. The installation went smoothly and was a fun experience. I had questions along the way and they were all happily answered on the spot. This is our third home in the Gorge and was the first without a wood stove. After enduring loss of power for 4-days during the brutal icy winter of 2016-2017 it was apparent that adding a wood stove needed to be a priority. We chose to have it installed in a pass-through type of room that sits in the center of our house. The J�tul anchors the space as if it was always meant to be there. We are thrilled with all aspects of our wood stove purchase from True Gorge Stove & Spas. I highly recommend this team. We are beyond satisfied and impressed with everything they stand for.

I was really impressed with the crew that came to replace the old 10" flue with a modern 6" one in a 1965 vintage A-frame cabin. Not only were they courteous but, did the little things that weren't required. As an example, as one prepared the existing stove for chimney cleaning (I didn't realize they would take this precaution) the other cleaned the glass door and the the exterior while he was waiting for his next task. It looked better than when it was new! Typically the helper just stands there, waiting. And of course they spread protective drop clothes everywhere.They were concerned about the process so as to not get soot and ash everywhere. Really a professional crew! And friendly too.

We were looking to replace our wood burning stove with a gas stove. We went to "the other place" in The Dalles and werent really impressed (not to mention they have terrible reviews), so we decided to make an appointment with True Gorge. We met with Chris and immediately we knew we made the right decision. He is so knowledgeable and guided us to exactly what we wanted. The install was really quick and the two guys sent out to do the installation were AWESOME!! Chris and his team are very professional, fun, and easy to work with. I cannot say enough good things about True Gorge. If you want a great product, for a good price and installed on time and done correctly, True Gorge is who you call. Thank you Chris and team! You guys are amazing!! :)

Chris and the entire True Gorge team did an outstanding job and were a pleasure to work with. We had a complicated mini split install at our 1912 house with four indoor units due to our unique room configuration. They made multiple extra visits to ensure the location of each unit met our aesthetic criteria. From Chris s initial visit to discuss the project and measure it out for a bid, through scheduling and installation, this team was professional, kind, and very skilled in their work. We would absolutely use True Gorge again and highly recommend them!

Chris and the Staff here consistently went above and beyond to help me out during a chimney/hearth/stove replacement during a remodel. They helped me find the right stove for my needs, then hardware and guidance during my DIY install of everything. Extremely happy with the end result and with everyone here for their expertise, helpful and friendly service.

GREAT EXPERIENCE START TO FINISH!!! True Gorge did an install at a previous home and did a great job, so I knew who to call when I had an issue at a new home. Chris helped identify my problem and found the most reasonable solution to get my fireplace back up and running. Their integrity is beyond what I expect in service and sales. They really care about helping their customers!!! They were prompt and precise with communication made it out to my home in very challenging weather conditions. They were very clean, professional and efficient. True Gorge Stoves and Spas will be my choice for any project like this.

What a wonderful experience it was to work with the team at True Gorge!!! Customer service is excellent!! Chris walked me through the options we had for a wood burning insert and expertly narrowed it down to the one that would fit in our existing space--it turned out to be the most beautiful and the one that most closely matched our architecture! The installation process was not an easy one but Chris and his team did an expert job with great attitudes! I can not recommend this company enough. We are extremely happy with our purchase!

We hired True Gorge for several projects... move a wood stove, install a mini-split heating system, and consult on an upcoming install for a modern fireplace system. From start to finish, the level of communication from Chris & his team was exceptional. The design ideas they shared were great. The quality of their work was perfect. I am not a person to write reviews, but our experience with True Gorge Stoves deserves it! Our entire experience was great, from the office staff, to the in home consult with Chris to the installation of our jotul gas stove. The installers did such a professional job and completely cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was very friendly and it was a great experience

I m a first time spa owner. We decided to buy local with the hopes of excellent customer service. We have had a few hiccups with installation and fine tuning the spa. The Staff at True Gorge stoves and spa have been excellent. Quick response to any question or concern. I felt no pressure to purchase as we were in the shop many times comparing choices. Tiffany and everyone else have been amazing and supportive. The spa is beautiful and we are enjoying it more than I ever expected.

This is the second gas fireplace/stove my wife and I have purchased from Chris at True Gorge. Four years ago we remodeled our house and replaced our fireplace with a gas insert from True Gorge. We picked out the style, but the contractor worked with Chris.This Fall we decided that we would like a free standing gas stove in our bedroom. We were very happy with our fireplace insert so we went to True Gorge. Chris worked with us to pick out the type and size of stove for the area. We had a lot of questions and Chris patiently answered all of them. The stove was installed last week and we love it. As mentioned in other reviews, the installation crew were friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of our house.Two days after the installation there was an issue with the remote receiver on the stove. I called Chris after hours and he set up a time the following morning ( Saturday, his day off) to come to our house and fix the problem. Customer Service.I highly recommend True Gorge and Chris Welvaert

Chris took us through the entire process himself and the install was well communicated. The cost estimate was also spot-on. We re thrilled with the Jotul stove and look forward to an excuse to go through the process again. Years and years of enjoyment and warmth ahead.

Stupendous work! Chris and his team were incredible, from beginning to end. They helped change out an old vent-free propane fireplace in our rental cabin. Chris selected the perfect model that met all the requirements, including which one would require the least amount of repair work. His selection and their meticulous installation was so good, dry wall repair (a possibility) wasn't even needed. As a bonus, Chris was even able to redo the stone tile around the fireplace. The team was very clean and professional, and they were even able to finish all the work in a single day. I can't recommend True Gorge highly enough. I will certainly be using them again in the future when the other fireplace in the upstairs needs replacing.

True Gorge was the only dealer in the Gorge where we could find a Victorian-look gas fireplace insert for our historic home. They had excellent reviews, so we spoke with Chris about the model we were interested in and he offered to come look and see if it would fit and how it would look inside our mantel. He visited us, measured and made suggestions and we scheduled an installation time. Snow came and we got postponed several times, but every time we spoke with the office personnel they were courteous and calls were returned promptly. When installation day finally arrived, Jayce and Alex arrived on time and got right to work. They were very friendly and took time to answer any questions we had, and they worked in an efficient and professional manner. Jayce scaled a 30 ft. ladder to install the chimney pipes and cap and seemed fearless. He took time to explain the workings of the fireplace and remote control. We had to have a backing plate custom made and he offered to come by and help install it if we needed help. That is great service.We are very happy with our new gas fireplace and would recommend True Gorge to others as it was a pleasant experience and the work was professional.

True Gorge Spas has been great. Worked closely with Tiffany on spa selection and installation a year ago. Since then she and others at True Gorge have helped me to maintain proper water quality and better understand my spa and what I need to do. Overall, great quality product and service!

The service was great from start to finish very happy with all the staff as well as Chris. Even post my installation I had a troubleshooting problem "Kids flipped a switch" my stove wouldn't come on and I was in a panic. I happen to be on a very cold late evening and I was able to get a hold of someone after hours late evening and they were so helpful and walked me through step by step to turn it on !!!!all by phone which was amazing to get that kind of help so quick and helpful. So glad I went with their business. It's been a year with my original purchase and I have had questions and needs for up keeping as well as maintenance on my stove and they are always very helpful. I recently had another stove. My pellet stove service from them and they did an amazing job to get it running. This was not a stove purchased through them but they helped me find the part and service this to get it up and running. They are so helpful.

We purchased an amazing Regency Excalibur wood burning stove - and for 7 years it provided very efficient and trouble free heat with no smell. To keep it that way we required service and maintenance. True Gorge Stoves and Spas used factory materials and got our system to 100%. They were timely, focused and professional. We would certainly recommend them to friends and family members.
