Hello all! I just want to say the services I received here were great! Recently, my car had broken down, and as a result my transmission began to fail. I then took my car to a dealership, and they told me that I would have to repair it for $10k. I was taken aback by the expensiveness, but then was referred here instead. Later, I had met with Dillon, who was very helpful and offered me a better deal. And so within a few days, I came back and they resolved the issue quickly with my car looking brand new. I m very happy with the staff, and the services provided, as it was done in a timely manner, as well as the price which was less than $3k. Very cost effective. I highly recommend this shop. And out of a 5 star rating, I d give it much more!

Great work done here!!! Had new headlights installed, but there was a manufacturer defect in one of them, had to re-order, and then go back to the shop. They were very accommodating and fast! Highly recommend will definitely use them again.

The staff are totally transparent in their prognosis. The pricing is high but with this outfit you get what you pay for and it is extraordinary. The lady at the front desk has a lot of knowledge about cars and is a joy to talk to. I highly recommend this repair shop for your automotive needs. This is my GO TO shop!!! Kudos.

I had good experiences in both Orenco and downtown Hillsboro locations.Most recently, I visited Total Upgrade Automotive in Downtown Hillsboro. Taylor and team professionally fixed the problem and helped me to save a lot of money by avoiding unnecessary fixes suggested by others.I will definitely visit them again.

Great auto shop! The whole team was friendly and fixed my problem quickly. The tech even stayed late to make sure I got the car back in time for an important appointment. Kudos to the team here! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this shop! My car wouldn t start so I got it towed here and they determined the issue and fixed it all one day. They gave me a reasonable estimate for the service and kept me updated and informed throughout the process. My car is running smoothly now and I m thankful for their fast, quality service

*Update Still amazing*I have gone back for more work on my car since this review and honestly they have won me over. What a great shop with the right attitude. I needed my upper control arms replaced it was done and I was back on the road feeling safe. I had my breaks done about a year ago, in that time something happened to the rotors where they were worn and making quite a bit of noise. I was able to bring the car in and work with their team to make it right.Thank you to the team for keeping me safe on the road!I called, got a quote and it was exactly the amount once the work was done. The employees didn't try and sell me things I didn't need. They replaced my rotors, brakes and brake fluid for under $500. I went in for a squeaky serpentine belt after changing my alternator, they tightened up the tension for me and I was out of there in five minutes. Everyone I spoke to was super nice and helpful, would definitely recommend them to anyone

The technicians at this place are the reason it is a 5 star shop. Had glow plugs replaced about 2000 miles later one glow plug threw a code the fixed it with their warranty and then as I was leaving a problem popped up that hadn t been there before I dropped it off. Several of the techs came out and fixed it on the spot before I left! That s why I keep coming backService: Electrical repair

I've been turned away before from other shops with my Subaru because it's lowered. However Total Upgrade Automotive was able to straighten out my steering wheel and was able to setup my camber and toe per my request (with reason). Great value for my request and I plan to use them again in the future.

The team at Total Upgrade Automotive are absolutely amazing! Any time that I need to make an appointment, it is a very easy and smooth process, not to mention how quickly the services are completed. They are very knowledgable and are able to answer any and all questions. There was a time where I was looking to get my windows tinted (a service that they don't provide unfortunately) but I gave them a call to ask if they could recommend a place. They gave me a call back within 5 minutes with a recommendation.I highly recommend this team and will be back for any future services needed for my car!Services: Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

My family was visiting Portland when our car started having engine trouble - stopping our road trip. Thankfully these guys were able to make room for our repair before the weekend. The people I talked to were smart, kind, and more helpful than any place I have been to. I am super grateful for total upgrade. I love their communication via text with a link allowing me to see everything un a helpful and convenient way.

Dillon and the rest of the crew are amazing! They took my car in right before closing and took the time to talk with me. They had my car done the next day and went above and beyond what I expected. I can t recommend them enough. They can do any type of automotive work and are very reasonably priced. If you need your car, truck, suv, van anything. GO see them! Went to the Hillsboro location and can't believe this place has 4.5 stars. They just throw parts at it they don't really diagnose and they aren't honest! Stay away!!!

Working with these guys was great! Dealer tried to rob me with a seemingly simple fix. I called Total Upgrade on the spot, got an estimate and it was 80% LESS than the dealer quote! No, that's not an exaggeration. Serviced within days and the final fee was even less than the estimate I was given to begin with. Great professional service! Highly recommend.I took my car to the JIFFY LUBE down the street and they connected my battery terminals backwards and blew my alternator. I brought my car to Transmissions Unlimited and they were attentive to my car. They also helped prove that Jiffy Lube was liable for the damage to my car and I got a nice big, fat check back from Jiffy Lube! Very very grateful! They were very communicative during the process and quick to respond. Very helpful and good customer service.

This is an amazing family-run shop that I've gone to for everything from a transmission replacement to oil changes to new tires. The whole team here listens to you, and doesn't try to upsell you on services you don't need. Definitely a highly qualified shop with strong customer-first approach, and fantastic techs. Highly recommended for any kind of car or truck.

This place is better than a dealership. I took my car to 3 other shops and they couldn t find the problem or fix my car. Total Upgrade Automotive found the problem and fixed it under a day. Highly recommend!!

We had a great experience at this shop! We needed a car inspected immediately. Called Transmissions Unlimited. Right in the middle of the day. No problem. They told us to come on by. So, we did. Warmly greeted, they took the keys and got started. We went to get some lunch. They called when it was done. They provided us with a detailed report of the condition and things that the car would be needing. It included pricing. Perfect. When we went to pay, we were thrilled that their price was extremely reasonable & less than other places! Also, when we contacted them with a question the next day, they took care of it right away. Excellent customer service and communication. We highly recommend this shop.

I've been a customer at Transmission Unlimited for about 3 years now. They always provide the best service of all kinds at a reasonable and cheaper costs compared to other automobile service centers. They always check on me after the service to see if everything is fine too. TU has been a great shop to take my vehicles too. Dillon is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional mechanic. His team does quality work and he has worked on my minivan and my campervan. Both are driving much better after the work he and his team has done on it. Ryan has worked on my car for roughly 4 years now, and let me just say there has been A LOT OF WORK. Recently brought my vehicle to Transmissions Unlimited for a few basic things and like always my vehicle was repaired flawlessly.The 3 most important things when having your vehicle repaired are quality of work, honesty/transparency of issues or repaired needed, and fair pricing. All of which you will receive from this shop and these people.You are treated with respect, understanding, and you are given honest answers. One thing that stands out most for me is their ability to prioritize your repairs for you so you have a clear understanding of urgency and pricing. I've never felt overwhelmed or helpless.I'd recommend this shop to my family and friends. Not only for the amount of time the repairs take but for the quality of work and my trust in the technicians. Beyond grateful for Ryan and his team and will continue to have my vehicles serviced here.

They are a wonderful group of people that will take care of your car. I recently had a clutch, flywheel and turbo replaced. The seal ended up being bad on my turbo and they got a new one in there quickly. Don't hesitate to have them do work for you.
