If I could give a zero I would. However! They were very nice and funny when I was there. Saying I needed 2 cats, and the 3rd was just fine, they put a camera in there and saw it was ok. Fast forward a month later, my car was fine, all of a sudden it started losing power, I had to have it towed home. At this time, I thought well it can't be the cats cause I just had them replaced. So I figured maybe my motor is just gone. We aren't mechanics by any means, but we do have some ideas of motors. I thought well, it sounds the same, kind of acts the same as when the 2 cats went out. But it can't be! They said the third one was fine!So I invest in a new to me motor, take it to the mechanic..he said, they must have been stupid, his words not mine, the third cat blew out, destroying the 2 BRAND NEW 800$+ worth of new cats! Not only am I now locked in for 4,000$ in a motor, but also $1200 in 3 new cats! 2 of which these guys installed a month or two ago. Saying the 3rd cat...oh it's fine they said.Not fine!!!! I lost the 800$+ I gave them, plus I have to pay ANOTHER 1200$ for new ones...again! Maybe because I'm a female and thought if they replaced 2 and I came back with the issue again, they could rip me off for another full set! So I would buy not just 2 cats, but come back and buy the 3 additional cats and the pipes!Don't let them take advantage of anyone! Especially females!! Like me! Myself nor my family will ever be back to this untrustworthy business and people

Amazing service fast turn around. We called multiple shops and got quotes for our flex tube repair. Not only was he very competitive on pricing he fixed it very quickly. He also found the issue that caused the flex tub to break in the first place. Very happy with the work they did. Would highly recommend them. If you re looking for an honest place to get any muffler repairs then look no further. Master muffler and brakes in hillsboro is the place to go.

Even though it was not a muffler issue or exhaust issue. They were very kind and didn't overview of my car and had a great suggestion to take it to another mechanic for repairs. I would recommend them just because of their thoroughness of looking at my vehicle

Brought our project 68 cutlass in needing full exhaust from the headers back. Was given an estimate that was more than reasonable, and had the work done. It was completed quickly. I was immediately impressed with how great it sounded and looked. It was exactly as promised, and if anything beyond what I had expected. I have recently taken the car to another shop for some other unrelated work, and the mechanic doing the work approached me out of nowhere to tell me how nice that exhaust looks, how masterfully the welds were treated. All I can say is these guys will have all of my exhaust business in the future.Service: Exhaust

Very straightforward. They got my car up on the rack and rewelded a cracked resonator. Very fast and reasonable price.Update Sept 2022 - just like they said the resonator would crack again (amazing to see their weld held and where it cracked was just outside). Time for a new resonator and was in and out of the shop in 45 minutes and paid a very reasonable price for parts and labor. I'm super happy once again!

Rolled up to the shop mid afternoon to finish up an exhaust kit install that wasn t fitting just right. They got the truck up on the lift, game planned a solution and had at it. Total time there was 30 minutes tops! Great service, friendly and priced right!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

I took my 2022 Subaru Outback Oynx XT Edition to them. I want it wanted a deep throaty sound, nothing loud and obnoxious. They are very creative; from the CAT we went with 2" pipe into a glass pack mounted in reverse, then into (2) Magna Flow SS mufflers.It sounds awesome, everyone ask how we got that sound!I can't say enough good things about Master Muffler! Had a great experience with Bart at the Sherwood location. He gave me a good price to replace the exhaust on my 2002 Ford F150 and it looks and sounds amazing. Changed my stock exhaust to dual exhaust after market . Feel like I got overcharged job didn t even take a full 2 hours and he charged me 300 for labor . And then In addition I asked him to keep my old exhaust so I could sell it but he put it in his scrap metal pile for his scrap guy to come pick it up didn t even set it aside after I told him I d be by for it later . Exhaust sounds good but service wasn t that good in my opinion . My friend had his dual exhaust straight piped for 250 so not sure the reason for mine being more expensive since I had all the parts alreadyService: Exhaust

I had an adjustment done to my 1996 honda civic exhaust system earlier this year. I had bought a catback exhaust and a catalytic converter to go on my car. They said they would adjust the system to sit closer to the frame because I was scraping on inclines and speed bumps. I also asked them to weld my new catalytic converter on. They did all that work and I was satisfied with the work at the time. Now a year later I did some work under my car and realized that the cat they installed is not the one I originally bought for my car. I m absolutely appalled that these so called professionals would steal parts from my car for later use. Never coming here again

Worked with Wade over the phone and gave me an honest quote for my request. Then upon arrival he immediately got me on the lift and informed me that I didn't need what I originally thought because I already had it (piping size) and instead of a full Catalytic back exhaust with larger pipes, I only needed a straight pipe (muffler deletion, basically take the thing off) and I also had him install a muffler tip, and it looks and sounds AMAZING!! Big ups to Wade and this shop. I'm 100% heading back and you should check them out. I was on and off the lift in like 30 minutes with a whole new throaty sound. Awesome stuff man.

I had nothing but a great experience here with Wade today! I went in to get my catalytic converter put back on my car after corrosion rusted the pipe and it snapped off. I thought that I was going to have to replace the whole thing but they were able to weld it back on for me! If I could rate this place I would give it 10 stars!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Wanted a resonator added to my exhaust, they were able to order the part within minutes for a next day installation. The actual installation was also very quick, barely spent 15 minutes on the rack. The price was reasonable, and I'm very happy with how my car sounds. All in all, great job and I'd have no hesitation coming back for anything else I need done

Fast service with a great bang for the buck! They even went the extra mile and painted my pipes to match my black theme. Highly recommend. Truck sounds great without being annoying. I took my handicap Dodge Caravan into this shop and needed new hangers for my muffler. Wade and Lyle did an outstanding job. I was in and out in under a half hour and the price was very reasonable. Fast, efficient and friendly. Just what the doctor ordered! I will go back again when I need more muffler work done.

Did a great job on my exhaust installation. Only thing is the day I brought in my car I was in a rush that day(very busy day) and I wasn t thinking and handed them my whole key ring. When I got back to pick up my car I had two safe keys missing from my key ring. He didn t seem to try and look very hard... and it s a bit unsettling knowing they also have my home address with my safe keys missing. Besides that my exhaust looks greatService: Exhaust

I took my car in after attempting to put together exhaust parts from different manufacturers to create a full exhaust system. The parts were not aligning, vibrating against the undercarriage, and the twin tailpipes where far from level. The guys at the shop were able to get everything aligned great! And did so fairly quickly. Recommended.

I called in for a quote to get some mufflers installed and got quoted $75-$100 per side (so about $200 total). I show up, sign the paperwork and hand over the keys when the guy tells me it s gonna be $300. I explain to him I was quoted $200 max over the phone and he says the best he can do is $275 waste of a trip, why would you quote over the phone and give a different price in person?

Called them up just to cut off my original muffler and throw on a Borla for my 2008 Silverado. They said come in whenever so I went there asap! I showed up and they pulled me right in the bay and up on the lift. Off with the old and in with the new in less than 30 minutes! Super friendly guys, & very experienced. Great overall experience! I went in yesterday muffler was damaged and hanging off. The guy took my car in within the first 5mins of me being there. fixed it and added extra support and pipe. They are friendly, funny and have unbeatable prices. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS

Master Muffler & Brakes installed a catback exhaust I purchased elsewhere. Unlike other shops, I did not need to schedule an appointment in advance. I came in when there was little traffic, and within minutes my vehicle was on a lift. Even with the complications of a single-piece factory exhaust, and an electronic exhaust valve, they completed the job very quickly. Their sight-unseen estimate was significantly lower than other shops (both in time and money), and was completely accurate. I highly recommend them, and expect to return here in the future when my brakes need servicing.

This shop is amazing! No matter what it is, on what kind, or type of vehicle, these guys can handle it. I've had multiple exhaust/muffler jobs as well as headers done once and have always had a great experience, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always have the customer in mind. This place is a No Brainer, got a problem? got a question? Show up and you'll get what you're searching for. Thanks again guys.

Lyle and Wade were very friendly and straightforward. They operate on a first come first served basis (though you could probably make an appointment if you had a custom install job in mind). They got my Subaru up on the racks immediately and diagnosed my rattling exhaust right away; they had it fixed in 45 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, fair prices and would come back again.Covid-19 related info: they had good signage about their mask requirements and max occupancy in the lobby. There is a plexiglass barrier at the front register; however, I would have preferred they wore masks when talking to us as well, but they did keep their distance from us. I also would have liked to see him sanitize his hands prior to entering my vehicle. (But I'm not removing any stars from my rating because it's not related to the actual services they provided.)
