John has been taking care of our family for many years now. He and his crew do excellent work at a fast pace. His prices are good and he will find a way to work with you. Since I bought my new car that came with new tires, he has repaired flats at no charge for me even though he didn't sell me the tires on my car. I highly recommend them.

I was impressed, and I can't say that happens often buying tires. I got some great tires for a great price, but I was really impressed with John and his employees. He remembered me after just a brief conversation the previous day, and told me how much he loves his job. Check them out!

This place saved my life. I was driving to work, really late when all of a sudden I get a flat tire. I called them 5 minutes before they opened. I am so lucky they answered because the closer I got to there shop, the worse my tire got. I couldn't make it and asked if they could possibly send someone. And they did!!! I'm not saying they do this for everyone but I am glad I got lucky. The patched it up and I was on my way. Amazing people work there!! Definitely going there from now on for tire service or routine maintenance.

I needed a lot of repairs done to my car and have been putting it off because I hadn't found a mechanic I trusted. This was an amazing experience. Really easy financing, the repairs took half the time I expected, and my car is running SO much better. All the guys there were super friendly and knowledgeable. I have officially found my new mechanic! Thank you!!

Away get friendly service for a good price, John's been keeping my cars safe and driving well. He also has been maintaining my parents cars for years with no complaints. I always feel I get my moneys worth.

Safe to say they have earned a customer for life! This shop goes out of their way to make sure your needs are met! The owner is very compassionate about what he does and his business. They will defiantly take care of your auto needs!

Came here with several nails in my tire convinced I d have to get a new one. We got helped right away and instead of just trying to sell us a new tire they checked to see if they could patch it and, lucky for us, they were able to! We also had our windshield wipers replaced and walked out of there having only spent $20! Great service, friendly staff, and incredibly affordable. I highly recommend Hillsboro American Tire. We will definitely be returning.

First time using Hillsboro American Tire and most definitely won't be my last! Courteous honest folks, offering quick reliable service. Every customer in the lobby had a smile on their face and a gentleman I chatted with reassured me that I was in good hands. Happy customer happy to help a local non chain business.

Excellence in customer service and the lowest prices in Washington County. Many used car dealers use them as they are priced lower then dealers. The owner John is involved with daily day to day customer interactions and is very sincere and nice. This shop is a well oiled smooth operation interested in total satisfaction. Well worth the trip and a great deal.

Took my 2001 Toyota truck in for 120k maintenance. The did all the required checks and only had the oil change that needed to be changed. The cost of this maintenance was far below what I was expecting. These guys could have easily say they changed other fluids and added time and money but were very honest. I took the wife's Mercedes in a couple months age for brakes/ rotors. Cost was very reasonable considering Mercedes brand usually brings costs up. The owner asked if I had a ride during Mercedes maintenance. When I said I would walk, He let me use what I believe was his own truck. Looks like I found my regular mechanic shop for my vehicles. Cheers!

Because of John's (owner) personable, friendly and honest manner, I only go to his shop. He treats you like you are the most important customer on the planet. He makes sure you are satisfied and goes above and beyond in helping, making suggestions and meeting your car needs. I wish more businesses were like his; he has a loyal and grateful following. His prices also trump everyone else's.

Bought a car off craigslist and the tires were bald so had to replace them. They didn't have used tires in my size. (Called every tire place I could google in the Portland metro area, turns out no one does.) But they did manage to find me the cheapest brand of new ones, so it wasn't too bad. Paid around $50 a tire and that included mounting them. They even checked my alignment problem and gave me a quote for it free of charge. If I find myself with extra money I might get it fixed. The owner war super busy, while ringing me up he had a phone to each ear (one conversation even in Spanish) and 2 customers at the counter. Despite all the distractions he still remembered me from when I called the previous day and got my tires fixed with good timing. As a young female who doesn't know much about cars I usually go in to service centers expecting to be cheated or manipulated into buying more expensive services that I don't really need. That was not the case here, I felt like they were honest/trustworthy and genuinely care about the customers, giving us the best value for our money. Which is good for people like me who don't have lots to spend. Would highly recommend them for all your tire problems.

This is by far the best place on the west side of Portland to buy tires. I have made multiple purchases and sent many friends here. We have all been very happy. The owner, John, works harder than anyone I have ever seen to provide the best service to his customers. The bigger chain stores have nothing on this place. I have been to other tire stores in the area and can sincerely say John deserves your business. He has the BEST prices and BEST service!!!

More great service from John Mendoza and his team at Hillsboro American car Care. I had a blowout. John found a good used tire for that wheel. Also told me two wheels were damaged and should be replaced soon. He's always busy because everybody wants his service.

I was trying to get away from doing expensive business with some of the more "National" brands around Hillsboro and Hillsboro American Tire was recommended to me. What I expected: A quote and a let me know when we can schedule you. What I received: a genuine interest in making sure I found the right solution for my custom brake job. From day one John made sure that I was feeling taken care of. The customer service is exceptional, and the work is not only fair priced, but quality. Even when the distributor and manufacturer made some errors, John made sure that it was made right and I was a happy customer. Will be bringing back all my cars for all of my automotive needs.

Great service! Have been in a few times for flat service with minimal to no charge. Came in looking for a full set of tires. They confirmed current tires were nearing EOL and starting to crack on the sidewall. Gave me a really good deal on tires and installation. In and out in about 45min to an hour. Highly recommend.

I have gone to this place twice for car services and so far both have been entirely frustrating... The first time, I was getting new wheels. I ordered the wheels, made an appointment and came back that day on time. I was then informed that they had not come in. Why they did not call to tell me this I do not know but I wasn't upset. I made another appointment, came in that day and when they went to put the wheels on the car, found they were the wrong ones. Again I had to make another appointment. I came in the third time and John gave me a discount for all the trouble and I got the new wheels and left.My second time I was told I could come in at 3pm for a tire rotation and alignment. I spent an hour and forty five minutes waiting for my car to get done. I did see it go in the garage but then half an hour later they took it out and no one updated me to tell me what was going on. I have spent my last time trying to reconcile my first bad experience with this tire company. Their customer service great but their time management is terrible.

I'm always satisfied and happy with the help and service. I was having a belt issue and they could have gotten away with charging me for a full new belt and labor and I wouldn't have known. Instead they readjusted my belt and sent me on my way. Good hard working honest people!

Pros! Expert service. Top level management. They worked on my truck as if they owned it. If you need something done, go here. If you think you want something done, go here. Thanks HAT team!Update:I went back in for tires on my car today (3.4.19). They really care about their customers and treat you like a friend. Thanks! I highly recommend this tire business!

Best auto care in Washington county! The owner, John and his team will treat you with honest and trustworthy work. You will never hear John say "no", always "yes"! I've been coming here for 10 years and will never go anywhere else.

Hillsboro American Tire is the only place I go for all my tire needs!!! John is simply the best in all the land. Not only do they do tires, but they also do a wide variety of mechanical work. The staff is always professional and very friendly. They explain everything thoroughly and have always treated me with kindness. Plus, you can enjoy free popcorn, coffee or nice cold water while you wait.

John got me in last minute, I was going to order a Lyft back home (Beaverton) and he arranged an employee to take me home instead. I really appreciate the service they provided to me. I really feel like my car is in good hands. John kept in contact with me the whole time and gave me the best deal he could. I ll pick up my car tomorrow or Friday and I m sure it all be in top notch shape! Glad I found this place.

Absolutely fantastic customer service, excellent value. John was extremely friendly and remembered me every time I called or came in. He even ordered some tires for me, trusting that I knew exactly what I wanted at risk of having to return them to the distributor if they wouldn't work for my application. I knew they would work but he did not and I appreciate that he trusted me enough to place the order. The special order tires came in right on schedule and were a perfect fit. They are large tires and balancing them was probably a nightmare but his crew nailed it, after a 1000 miles not even a hint of vibration. When I came in to pick up my old wheels I wanted to pay to put it on the alignment rack to get some baseline readings and not only was he able to put it on the rack that second but he would not even let me pay for it since I bought those custom order tires. Five stars is not even enough. Thank you guys!

The owner, John is a legend. Do not go anywhere else for tires, brakes...etc. John will go above and beyond to help your needs. I have more than four transactions with John on my 2015 C300. Extremely professional.

I have been going there for 20 years, john is a local legend. His prices are fair, service is great, he even towed my van the day it died. I would never buy tires, brakes, batteries from anyone else. Honest service and just the best. Also all the tires are made in America. Not imported. John is a local and knows everybody. Whenever I need advice about car van maintenance repair or any kind of skillset I do not have I called John and ask for a for a reference.As a woman I've had lots of bad experiences and Carland and over the years. John fixed all that

These guys are the real deal. Professional, polite and got the job done. None of the usual 'leave it here and we'll call you'. This is my new tire shop. The owner and team all took great care of me and my Mercedes. I'll be back!

Needed to get my front brakes, rotors and Calipers replaced and ended costig way more than expected. John was so understanding and price matched Les Schwabs quote for me. Great customer service!
