I had stopped recently for an alternator issue and the mechanic immediately accommodated me as I was traveling south through town. He adjusted my belt, tested battery, and jump started me all without charge. I even tried to pay him something but he wouldn't accept. A shop's bottom line is based on time spent and I found that very generous and kind. Highly recommended!!! Erik, Portland, OR

Rick is my new car "guy"! After I received a few recommendations for Petra I went in & chatted with Rick. He was honest & said he was backed up right now. I do give a lot of flexibility because I want it done correctly but the next week my SUV was running like a raped-ape! I needed a tune-up & idiot light was for the throttle sensor. No more idiot light! It did cost more than expected after my research BUT for honesty and a job well done... worth it to me. Thanks Rick! Billie. btw: discounts for recommendations? lol

Very honest and repairs done right. If they make a quote but find out the repair costs more than expected, they will always let you know. Vehicles differ model to model, and many variables come into account when working on cars and trucks. Don't be fooled by YouTube mechanics saying how easy it is to DIY. Oftentimes there are things YouTubers don't know or don't tell you. Best to take your vehicle to an actual repair shop that's ASE certified, like Petra Automotive.

These people said they would do my struts and springs for just the labor for 300$ with the alignment as well too. Then they say the next day that they want 785$ because they looked into doing the job more trying to say that it would be a 6 hour job for them to do it. I looked up on YouTube how to do it and it's only like a 2 hour job that I can do my self. 5 bolts for every strut how hard is that. These people don't know what they are doing at all. Complete garbage for real!!. If it wasn't for having to post this I wouldn't put any stars but you have to put one just to post something.

Something went wrong with my car while family trip. Thanks to them, my car was repaired and I can continue family trip. I was really impressed by their kindness, service, and friendly smile. Thank you tremendously~~!!

Not to pleased with what is advertised as alignment specialist. They didn't know if alignment could be done because the size of the rim.
