Fast shipping and customer service is excellent. They take your calls and return voice-mails. Emails are also prompt. I highly recommend Bumblee bee to anyone with a 1st gen Insight. I'm glad I finally have my Insight back on the road with a working HV battery

Super happy with a Bumblebee Beeline battery for my 2001 Insight. Leah and Eli were super helpful with questions and support before and after purchase. Battery arrived about 3 weeks from purchase date. Install video made it super easy and the results are fantastic. The Beeline option allows stock level of performance at an affordable price. Highly recommended!!!

I am deeply disappointed with the experience I had with Bumblebee Batteries. My battery replacement failed about one month after the warranty expired. Instead of addressing the problem or offering a proper investigation, they provided a canned response simply suggesting I purchase another one of their batteries. I've tried to keep the conversation going to find an amicable resolution and they stopped responding.The timing of the failure, right after the warranty expiration, raises concerns about the quality and reliability of their product. The lack of customer service and the company's unwillingness to look into the issue further has left me feeling undervalued as a customer. The suggestion to buy a new product without addressing the underlying issue is both dismissive and disappointing.Overall, my encounter with Bumblebee Batteries has been marked by complete disregard for customer satisfaction and a lack of willingness to address legitimate concerns. I hope that by sharing my experience, others can make informed decisions and consider alterative options.Update: This update is in response from the owner.While my review has prompted a response from the owner, they still have not responded to my direct email about the warranty issue that I sent prior to this issue. Despite my attempts to reach a resolution through email, they have not acknowledged or addressed my concerns regarding the warranty expiration and subsequent product failure. While I appreciate the offer to investigate the matter and find a resolution, the lack of communication raises doubts about their commitment to satisfaction. It's disheartening I had to resort to posting a public review to elicit a response rather than through direct channels of communication.In the time since my initial review, I took the initiative to replace the battery elsewhere due to the urgency of the situation and lack of timely assistance.I will update this review if Bumblebee Batteries eventually addresses my concerns regarding the warranty issue and provides a suitable resolution.

Service was fine, until it came to the CORE deposit refund. Seems that Bumblebee has been taken over by Green Bean- and they refuse to fulfill the contract to refund the deposit as was stated in the original contract.

Ordered a replacement hybrid battery from these guys for my '04 Honda Insight. Thanks to their 20 minute YouTube installation video (and some heavy-lifting help from my best friend) this gal was able to replace my own battery in one afternoon. My car is now better than ever! I thought my car needed an entirely new battery (which it will in the near future and I'll go to Bumblebee for it), but they read the codes and turned out it needed a new fuse and fan for my hybrid battery. They had both on hand and installed them in about an hour. Unbelievable customer service and beyond reasonable costs. Highly recommend for hybrid battery issues.

My original battery finally gave up the ghost: My 2002 Insight's battery gave died after 18 years of service, with 127,000 miles on it. A previous owner had tried grid charging and everything else, but the battery was dead. Sad and non-recoverable. The folks at Bumblebee not only sold me a rebuilt pack with the 3-year warranty for a Good Price, but were also able to help me affordably procure MCM and BCM modules to replace the ones damaged by the previous owners' poorly installed grid charger. My order was delayed a few weeks, but Bumblebee was super up-front about the reasons, and the battery arrived, was installed, and we're back to getting amazing MPG in Denver! Hooray.The new battery arrived in a wonderful, easy-to-use returnable packaging to take the old battery back for rebuilding for another customer. Swapping out a hybrid battery is certainly a reasonable amount of effort, but not impossible for someone with basic mechanical skills. Truly a great company modeling the finest in service for keeping hybrids going. I hope they're around in another 18 years when this car needs another new pack!

I was so impressed with how the staff provided lots of helpful information. After checking it out they told me I didn't need to replace my battery, that the hybrid engine was just low on oil which made my battery misbehave. Haley was super helpful and friendly. I bought a battery from bumblebee a few years ago and also had a positive experience.

Customer service was very good. Haley drove out to trouble shoot an error code after installation of a reconditioned battery that was actually a different problem caused by a dealership mechanic. Problem was solved and the hybrid battery works great. Thanks for going the extra mile (actually many) to help out a customer.

Got a replacement battery for my 2001 Honda insight back in the spring. It worked great but recently I got a fault with the new battery. They were fantastic. Shipped me out a replacement battery with no questions asked. They even paid shipping which I did not expect. It is nice to see a company that stands behind their product. I will always use them in the future.

I own a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. I drove it into the ground. Bumblebee Batteries sent me not only a new battery but the used parts I had destroyed. I get 43-47 miles to a gallon with over 320,000 miles on the car! Hybrid Shop of the Carolinas in Charlotte installed battery and parts. Great experience.

It's been over 2.75 years since I purchased the new Prius hybrid battery for engine on 2010 model. My prius still charges to full with no issues. This manager made extra effort to accomodate my situation with time, Starbucks coffee, and guarantee clause. This is how we thank them: by not forgetting their good work after nearly 3 years.

Great, knowledgeable people who know hybrid batteries! Took my Camry hybrid there when the hybrid cells failed and they gave me great service and a great deal. Definitely recommend them over dealerships or anyone who doesn't specialize in hybrid batters.

Swapping out my old weak battery with a new performance one was way simpler than expected. Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge will get it done. The battery is working very well and I'm seeing more acceleration torque and MPG than ever before. If you DIY definitely consider Bumblebee!! My 2009 Civic Hybrid had already received the firmware update which basically disables the CEL when the HV battery goes bad, but it was very obviously failing because the car would often 'recalibrate' constantly. It's seriously a night-and-day difference in performance now that the new one is installed.

The crew at BumbleBee Batteries was amazing. I called them the day before and they prepped a BeeMax for my 2000 Insight. I stopped by the next day and they installed it while I waited. It took less than 2hrs to restore my Insight to tip top hybrid driving shape. Plus I got to hang out with the office cat, Bubba. That afternoon I started my drive back to NC, 3,300 miles over the next 4 days and their battery performed like a dream. These folks are the best at hybrid batteries. I will be back next time I need another battery.

Called to get quote and ETA on 1/25 said it would only take a day or two to build as they were not busy, which was fantastic since I needed it ASAP. Placed order on 1/29 told it would take 7-10 business day. Not ideal, but I understood they must have got more orders in. Received the battery on 2/21... 23 days later. I was unhappy with the lack of communication and extra time it took to get my car up and running. Sent the old battery back on 3/4 (mind you same state and it gets there next day) and didn't get my core refund until 3/20. I had to call them as apparently the refund had fell through the cracks? The battery itself is working just fine and the price was better than anywhere else, but I am very disappointed with the customer service.

My wife has a 2002 Insight which had a dealer installed re-manufactured battery that was installed June 2006. The IMA light light came on in August of 2016 so it delivered the normal expected life. After viewing the installation video from Bumblebee and getting a quote from a local mechanic I decided to do the job myself. We ordered it on Thursday at 5:30 pm and it arrived at 10:30 am Monday.The battery was even better packed than what the video showed. No bubble wrap, just dense foam blocks. You use the straps to remove the one that says "Remove" and then you can pull out the new battery and later drop in the old battery. As in the video you just use the tape that they provide and seal up the box after filling out the warranty letter. The return label is on a FedEx peel-and-stick label so it really can't be easier.The install was just as the Video shows and it did clearly mention the important steps where you need to pay attention, like where the Torx bolts go since they do have the same thread as the hex head bolts. I took a couple of pictures while working but eventually realized that the video really did cover everything so the only install tip is to make sure you have a way to watch the video during the work and just keep stopping it and backing it up to make sure you don't skip anything.

Noticeably better performance and mileage in my Civic Hybrid, plus a 3 year warranty. All told, it was about $500 cheaper than what my dealer wanted for a refurbished replacement battery.

This was my second Prius battery, for my 2007 Toyota Prius, the staff is nice and they communicate well with you. Service is pretty quick, even though I left it overnight.

12/12/20 update-I ve increased my rating up to 4 stars.This is because they ve since improved their customer service with me and decided to help me out and not ignore the concerns I ve had with their product.Thanks BB...............................They will sell you a battery that will not last the amount of time they claim. Then after you try to reach customer service for help, they will ignore you. Unsatisfactory customer service and I ve been very patient with them.
