Super fair, and good mechanics. They won't try to overcharge you just because you are a woman, I know thats a big fear with mechanic work. But these dudes are honest and fair. Quick too.

I took my recently purchased Chevy square body in with a list of relatively minor repairs. They only sort of took care of one of those, and another issue they found. But they said another part would be $400 (I found it for $40) and they couldn't find another part. Although there are work arounds, they weren't interested in fixing anything else, even though I was willing to pay. Found another place that was actually interested in helping... and getting paid.

So far so good I believe that I can trust these people as he's been honest with me so far Valvoline oil change or the ones that sent me to Tom's Auto I can't tell you how many times I've been lied to and taken advantage of over the years so I feel very fortunate to have found somebody that I feel is going to do good by me being a single senior citizen one has to be so careful I believe I found a gem of the community

I brought my car in here about a year ago. They did the work same day and charged me a very fair rate. I have more work that needs to be done and this is where I plan on going again.

My vehicle broke down over the holiday and I thought it would be stuck in town a while, so I scheduled a rental. Knowing my situation, the folks at Tom's made time to look at my car, realized it was something they could quickly remedy, and got me back on the road before I could even get in the rental! Amazing service and kind people. Thanks again for all your help.

I had to send in my car last minute for a possible blown head gasket and broken hatchback door before I went on vacation. They had no problem with leaving my car there for three weeks while I was gone. Turns out that it wasn t a head gasket issue and they also were able to fix my back hatch without ordering a new part. They could have totally taken advantage of ordering parts and racking up a bill since I was out of country but they were very honest about everything. I ended up paying $180 instead of $1,600+. They took great care of my car and had outstanding service. Honest mechanics like this are hard to come by. You guys are awesome. Highly recommend Toms Auto Service. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Special thanks to Jared, for going above and beyond. Thanks guys!

We were driving through on a long road trip and our check engine light came on. We called several shops in Grants pass hoping we could get our car looked at and all were booked out. Tom's was able to run a diagnostic and help us confidently get back on the road in a very short time and inexpensively. Thank you so much!

Tom was an honest man of integrity. Far as I've seen, his son is no different. Excellent work ethic is displayed by his employees. Fast work, professional conduct, and a fair price. I highly recommend this shop.

While on our trip from California to Portland and back to California. our serpentine belt started screaming on our Sequoia. My wife jumped on google and came a crossed this listing. She called them and the guy said he could possibly take a look at it so we rolled the dice and stopped. Of course right on que the belt went silent about 2 blocks before the place. The gentleman stopped what he was doing and came and inspected it for us. 15 minutes of his time and it made us both feel better knowing it wasnt anything serious. When we asked him how much his we owed he said nothing. Of course I still shoved some money in his hand cause it made the rest of the 300+ miles that we drove that day feel so much better. Thank you kind sir. Definitely use this business if your in the area.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I needed to get my headlight replaced. I searched around town. Several places wanted to charge me $150. I know it s something I can do myself. Please guys took me in pretty much right away. within two hours it was fixed! And they only charged me $49! Super grateful and highly recommend go in here if you need help. I feel like they really understood what I was going through. Kind of stressful for such a little light. Thank you thank you

I took my car in to have and electrical issue diagnosed. Ultimately they could not tell me exactly what the problem was. But they did tell me that for sure I needed 2 new window motors and a switch. They said they tested the motors independently and that they were faulty. They also said a switch was faulty. They then quoted me 600 to fix that part. I opted to buy the parts on my own and do it. Once i got the parts installed i quickly realized that i had been scammed. Once I replaced the "bad parts" I still had the same issues. Even though they told me that they tested the motors and switch independently. All of the parts they quoted me 600 to fix were fine. They either lied about doing the tests or they lied about the results. The very service I paid for was a diagnosis and they told me with certainty that these parts needed to get replaced. End of story they were wrong about every aspect of the diagnosis and then wanted to charge me 600 to still not fix the problem.Service: Electrical

Had a radiator leak problem while traveling in Oregon. Located Tom's Auto Service for a repair in Grants Pass. Jared, Jeff etc. were professional and efficient in addressing the problem and getting us successfully back on the road and home. Most appreciated.

I went to Kelly automotive shop first and they charged me for something I didn t ask to do. I decided to go to toms because I should have supported my local business instead of going to a over priced unable to figure out the problem that s simple instead charging you a ton of money when Tom knows what is wrong and fixes it for an very inexpensive price. My a/c wasn t working and Kelly s cost me $200 to tell me I had a bad compressor they over charged me because I had only asked them to check for links $39.99 Tom gets right to the point of the problem and gives a price and it s so much cheaper and better service here you need to support local businesses

I have to tell you about these guys. They worked on my 2005 Chrysler 300. They treated me like a family member. They put a ton of work into the car, trouble shooting a electronic issue, they put a minimum of 6 hours into this car. Im not going to say how much they billed me, but NOT 6 HOURS WORTH SIGNIFICANTLY LESS. I have had cars in the past that were going to shops twice a year and I HAVE NEVER been treated so well. These guys are incredible honest and up front with you. They charged me, Treated me, like a close family friend. Im sooooo blown away by them its not even funny. All car recommendations I make in the future to friends and family will go to these guys. Jim is an amazing guy, Tom would be so proud to see how he treats his customers. Jim thank you so much for everything you did for me. I really do feel like you went beyond you fields customary practices to help me. Seriously man Thanks so much for everything nobody else would have billed me and done everything you did on my car the way you did. I truthfully appreciate everything you did for me. THANKS THANKS THANKS

Tom's automotive is by far the best place in Grants Pass if your looking for honest, knowledgeable, fast auto repairs. I had an issue with my Ford Windstar that I couldn't figure out I did all the "shade tree" checks and couldn't figure it out took it to a mechanic on 7th St and they said they weren't sure but they were going to need to do a block test next ($100) and go from there so I brought the van home took it to another mechanic on Williams hwy who said cracked head was "likely" the issue.....a friend said take it to Toms reluctantly I did.....I got a call a couple hrs later and was told it was the coil pack (which I tested via multimeter and plug fire test and it passed) he told us what it would cost and he could get to it in a couple days. The price was affordable and we haven't had a problem since...not only did they do the work right I got a lesson on how to tell by the spark color whether it's the coil pack....awesome work guys.....thanks again you have a loyal life long customer

Pretty busy, so it can take some time to get your vehicle checked out. But the people are great, good prices and work hard to help you out. Only people I take my car to and I recommend them to anyone in need of a solid, honest, mechanic.

Seemed to have a super friendly staff however I took my vehicle in the get A/C fixed before my trip to San Diego.They hooked it up to test and see where the leak was they found it immediately. I was told after the hose was replaced it should work. I picked up my car and didnt test it yet due to the cooler weather in Oregon. Drove down to San Diego where it was hotter and had my 7th month old and 8 year old with us. Turned it on and it didnt work at all after paying over $200 and expecting cool air. Called and talked to someone and they said it should have worked immediately but it didnt and told us to bring it in after our trip. We brought it in and they hooked it up again just to find out there was another leak in the systerm and this one was way more costly than the first well over $600 in work. At this point I was very upset that the mechanics didnt test to see it was working before releasing the vehicle to us and went on a long trip just to discover that the ac still didnt work and having to suffer in the hot weather with children. This raises alot concerns for me like do they test their vehicles after fixes before they give them back to their owners? Taking the money and running pretty much.I can no longer trust them working on my vehicles again.

When everyone we called told us they were a month out and the job would be $160.00 Tom's auto said" come on in!" They charged $70.00... wow so I would definitely recommend this guy!!

I took my pickup there a while back for what I thought was needed was a clutch replacement. Got a call later telling me it wasn't necessary yet. No charge even though it took some of their time to look it over. They could've done it and charged me without me being the wiser. I will be going back when it is time to replace it, though. They won a customer.

No one in grants pass had the capacity to see my car today during an emergency. I called over 6 different auto shops trying to see if someone could look at my car, I was with with someone who has special needs on a work assignment and needed to get back to Roseburg.It was a miracle today, they had me come in looked at my car and had it fixed in an hour, otherwise I would have been stuck in grants pass overnight and would have had to find a place to stay. Shout out to The guys who worked Friday morning 11-1:30 on 08/27 they were the real deal.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic
