This place was a nightmare!!My truck was making a clunk noise and so I brought it in . They put springs on and said that s what it was, the install was backwards and bolts were not the right fit and not torqued to safety . After terrible communication and poor service, I reluctantly brought my truck back. The owner worked on my truck and still a pad was put on crooked and bolts not torque down to safety.This experience was so stressful and costly. In the end they never did figure out the noise. I took my truck to an honorable shop and he found that all my truck needed was lube for the yoke! I m so glad we now have a dependable honest help but I wouldn t advise anyone to come here as it was a complete and total nightmare at worst auto!

They took advantage of my daughter's good nature. She paid up front to fix her transmission. But after that, they couldn't get it to run right, so they kept putting her off for over a month. I had to go in to figure out what it was going to take to get it going. The owner said I was trying to tell him how to run his business. They still charged her more just to release it. We drove a couple blocks to Kelly's, who had it running in less than an hour. It was only a loose wire connection. Pathetic customer service.

I brought my car here for a turn signal to be fixed. Another shop quoted me 140.00 and said they would need the car all day. I only have one car and live out of town so I thought I would have to add a car rental to the original quote. Drew fixed it right away, no waiting and didn't charge me anything for his time. I am going through a really difficult time right now and meeting with kind people really lifts my spirits. Because of his generosity, I know I will be a loyal customer in the future. There was another young man working with Drew, but I didn't get his name. Thank you so much!

Thank you Cory and Sarah. Im so thankful I found a shop I can trust. I really appreciate that you listen to my concerns and don't make me feel silly when I don't know what's wrong. And I honestly can't thank you enough for helping my senior mom when you knew her budget was tight. I highly recommend you to all of my friends, family and clients!

I ve spent several thousand dollars with this outfit. I paid for a new alternator and alternator belt and fix my gear shift. I paid 700.00 for both, my alternator belt broke in a week,and gear shift still leaks. I brought this up and they literally told me to have it towed ? So if you want to waste money go to Squatch garage!

Great people and amazing work. I've taken 2 cars to them, one of them caused a lot of trouble. But they were very professional and got the job done with amazing quality. Would definitely recommend them. 10/10

Cory is a lifesaver! He noticed I was trying to change a flat tire and stopped to assist. He had all the pro tools on him, changed the tire, took the time to make sure the spare was aired up, and gave a few suggestions on where to find tires in the area. Guys at the shop did everything they could to help me get my car back to Eugene. Unfortunately just wasn t in the cards for my vehicle. They went above and beyond. Honest, professional and actually care for their customers. amazing service. Thanks again.

I have been bringing our vehicles to Best Auto off and on for years now. I am so grateful for the work done here. I have always had positive experiences each time going. Work is done well and timely. He is honest and always tries to get the cost down if possible (even without me asking). That has always felt so considerate to me. We've used Best Auto Service for work on several of our vehicles for years and have never been disappointed. Cory and his team are conscientious, considerate and do just plain ol' good work, competitively priced. I was on a road trip heading home to southern CA and my Toyota truck overheated just outside of Grants Pass. I called and Corey was such a nice guy. Despite being after hours and completely booked for days he was willing to squeeze me in. I towed my truck there in the late evening and by the next morning I was on my way. He gave clear detail of what went wrong, fixed what was necessary to finish the trip home and he suggested what other repairs to do I get back. This made it feel super genuine and honest and I can t comment enough how friendly he and his staff were. Wish I had a mechanic like him where I live. I was just fortunate to breakdown near his shop.FYI The shop now goes under the name Squatch s garage. Good people.

In town, 600 miles from home, a headlight quit with heavy snow forecast.The tire store recommended nearby. (The tire store, Les Schwab in Grants Pass, took care of tires, chains, etc but not my less-than-simple car headlights). Best was booked up for few days but repair for another had to spend and skipping lunch got me going!No appropriate pics, but here is a cuddled in the car waiting!

I sure miss Chip and crew. By far the Best. Since sold gone down hill. It's just my experience and expectation of a power steering fluid leak and replaced the pump with a silly noisy one. After many efforts still noisy. Said I needed to replace the rack an pinion. Nope no more leak. Up sale for the numbers. Just to bad.

I would be remiss, if I didn t mention the excellent service provided by Best Auto on Hillcrest in Grants Pass Oregon.As a pretty good car mechanic myself, I know a lot about what it takes to service or fix a car. Unfortunately, at this time I have neither a car lift nor a very well supplied shop area.Hence, relaying on other has become necessary. I normally hate this because I am always forced to deal with shady, illusive mechanics that provide a great deal of Run-a-round and talk , but very little results. In summary: I know I m going to pay several hundred dollars, I m not going to see my car for a week and I m not really sure my car is going to get fixed correctly.Several years ago BEST Auto service on Hillcrest was recommended to me.Since then, I have had no less than a rear wheel bearing replaced, a new head gasket installed, new fuel pump and various emission controls issues.All of these issues have been repaired quickly and completely. Communication was always forthright, the service was always courteous and the price was fair.

Had a horrible experience. Our car came back with several door dents and we had to have another mechanic fix the problem that they said they fixed and didn't. We were charged over $1000. Corey was very unprofessional.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I've taken my older cars here for the last year or so. A family-run shop with a polite, can-do attitude. They helped out with a few obscure problems with the car that other shops might not take the time for. Chip is ASE certified. The mechanics are hard-working and honest. I rarely write reviews, but I'd have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

About to bring my 3rd vehicle there!!! That should say it all. Very fair prices, great work and Chip is always willing to explain the problem. And to go a bit further, when the repair I need is pretty simple, he tells me what the actual problem is and tells me I can do it myself! That always saves me money. Ok, Best auto is simply the best in southern Oregon, that's my opinion!!!

Second time going here and wow what a mistake I left feeling more uncertain about my vehicle then when I brought it in. Since picking up my car I've had to replace 2 hoses due to ruff handling of the parts. And now there's a new noise all within a few days of picking it up. Save yourselves the stress and money in the long run and go elsewhere to a reputable company.

All I can say is make sure and check your maintenance manual for your car before taking your vehicle here. They said for my 30,000 mile maintenance service that I needed the transmission fluid flushed. Unfortunately I didn't check my manual ahead of time and learned after I got home that it didn't need to be flushed. Paid for service that I didn't need, and they lost us as customers. Shame on you Best Auto. You're definitely not best.

Replaced my alternator fast and effictively. They were professional and I actually felt safe leaving my car there. Most mechanics I always feel like I'll get my car back missing parts, but not here.

Brought my car in to have a broken bolt replaced was quoted $40 got a call the next day saying it was done and it was $96, I told them that that was a pretty high jump and reminded them I was quoted $40 she said she would call me back which she did a short time later saying they could do it for $60 as they had done some adjustments. So I pick it up and paid th $60. A half block down the road things got screwy and long story short the adjustments they made was to flip my alternator belt inside out and loose. It is my opinion that they are very unprofessional and will do unauthorized work and charge you for it with no prior notice. Client beware!

Had a fuel pump out in my Dodge Ram pickup. They were very fast in fixing it, the receptionist was friendly, the price was decent and the truck runs great!!! I highly recommend this place!

This is the worst shop in grants pass hands-down do not go there quoted me $580 to fix a leaky water pump and one day kept my van for 5 days wouldn't return calls I had to call them and keep up on everything go to get my van when they call me five days later and guess how much the bill is $1,800 to change a waterpump and replace two bullets that they broke doing the work$1,800 to change a every shop I called in town said that was ridiculous and excessive I will never go to the shop again do not take your car there you will regret horrible business for the community worst experience ever !!!!!!!!!!!Service: Auto water leak repair
