Jake, internet sales manager, went above and beyond to put me in a truck I absolutely wanted. He was always upfront, honest and had an optimistic attitude at all times. I initially didn't believe the negative reviews and then had the opportunity to experience it myself. This is in regards to the service department specifically. I had scheduled my Stinger for a diagnostic one week in advance. Over the course of a 12 minute phone call, I was told that they would have availability to take a look at my car, ride services would be offered since I scheduled in advance, and that if a repair was confirmed, there would be a possibility of getting a service loaner. One week later arriving at the dealership, Jennifer Lopez told me the complete opposite. She told me there were no shuttle services, no service loaner for my vehicle even if the repair was confirmed, and ultimately, they lost my appointment. After that, she tried to insist that I called the wrong dealership. I pulled out my phone and proceeded to call the number in which we were greeted with a "thank you for calling Ron Tonkin KIA." She then proceeded to give up and say "I don't know what to tell you." She took down my number and said that the recorded call will be used to train the call center. No solutions and no alternative suggested for my situation, only frustration. I'm having a hard time believing any of the the 5 star reviews with the service I received. This was definitely the worst dealership service I've had to date. I wish I could say otherwise.

I can t thank the team at Ron Tonkin enough! Jared was so great at reaching out with updates when he found the car (with the color and trim) I wanted. Aimen was so genuine and knowledgeable while helping make the car buying process easy. And Jennifer was a ray of sunshine in the finance department! She went above and beyond to help me get the lowest rate on my loan. Everyone was so professional and gave great service.

Excellent service on my first visit after buying a new Sportage. Travis Crawford is a great service rep. He patiently answered a lot of questions for me. Very knowledgeable and professional. My vehicle was in and out within the estimated time.This may be the best auto service department I ve ever used. The waiting area facilities are also top notch. I will be returning to Ron Tonkin for all of my upcoming services.

Tyler connected to us quickly and efficiently on a purchase of a used Kia here. We had called to ask if the car was available and it was being seen by another customer. Tyler quickly called us back after the customer was finished. He was not pushy, not salesman-y, but rather Tyler was professional and respected our privacy, and was patient with us as we hemmed and hawed on the purhcase. Good on them for stocking up their snacks - my daughter accompanied us on the purchase and the snacks kept her occupied and patient.

Just had our 2021 EX K5 in for the 30000 mile service Christian was our service consultant and was absolutely amazing!! I like the fact that they remember us and always make our wait time comfortable. Dealership is very clean and everyone is very attentive to our needs.

Steve helped me get exactly what I was looking for, and Jennifer in finance got me 3 whole points off what my previous lender had said their interest rate would be. I never felt pressured, Steve was honest about what he could and couldn t do, and he worked with my hectic schedule. I came over between meetings to see the van, then I sent my husband over, then I came back, then we came back together to get it. It was the exact shopping experience I wanted and needed to have, and the team here made it possible. Everyone was nice and accommodating and looking out for one another. It s a nice environment. I love my new-to-me Honda Odyssey. It s exactly what I wanted. I recommend Ron Tonkin Kia, they ll work with you.

What a breath of fresh air. Since buying my Genesis (not from these guys) I haven't had a single good experience with a service department. Took my car in to Ron Tonkin today for the first time, and Jennifer was outstanding! She committed (loosely) to an hour. At the hour mark, she came and found me to apologize for being late and to inform me that they were vacuuming my car and that it would be pulled out shortly.It's rare to find a place that treats your time and your car with the level of respect I experienced today. Great Job Jennifer and Team!

Ronnie T's is a great place to buy a vehicle. The sales person Jarrod, did a good job explaining everything about the vehicle. There plenty of vehicles to choose from. They were out of creamer, so I had to drink.my coffee black while I waited. Overall, they got the transaction completed quickly and smoothly. The dealership was clean and inviting.

I have a long drive to get to Ron Tonkin but it is worth it. I bought my car in for its first service and it was a pleasure. From the first moment where I was confused where to drive my car for service and a young mechanic stopped what he was doing and walked me and my car to the service line to being greeted and comfortably seated in the lounge by Kristen (who kept me updated all along) to being greeted warmly by the two salesmen who sold me my car in May, 2023 Taylor and Aimen to driving out less than an hour later. This is a well run, first class organization. I am so very happy I bought my car there. It is a Telluride and I LOVE it.

I am completely in-love with my new Kia Sportage X-Pro Prestige and the staff at Ron Tonkin Kia have been nothing but STELLAR since the day I reached out to them! The General Manager, Greg Whiteaker, was referred to me by a neighbor and he got me in touch immediately with Jacob Linn who took THE VERY BEST care of us! Jacob was so patient, kind, professional and non-pressuring. The sale was speedy, smooth, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I also recently had it serviced for our first oil change and Travis Crawford in the Service Department was wonderful as well! He, too, gave me a warm welcome, got me all checked in, and the car was done and ready quickly. The free carwash they throw in was a nice touch as well. I highly recommend these folks at Ron Tonkin Kia! Top Notch customer service!

I m really disappointed about the service I received from the dealership on my last two visits there. On December 13th I brought my vehicle there to be serviced and I was told that my check engine light was coming on due to rodent damage and it wasn t covered under warranty. Unfortunately, things like that happen, and I don t fault that dealership for that , but I felt that the service technician, or the lady who processed my order was being kind of sarcastic about the whole matter and didn t really seem to show a lot of empathy at all. Also, that cost me $2100 out-of-pocket that s bad enough. A month later my motor blower blew out on my air conditioner and my heater so as a result, I was not receiving any air or heat. Bought my car to the dealership there on 24 January and they told me when they call me when they diagnose the problem. The technician told me that he tried calling me to let me know what the issue was but nobody ever called me. That was not a true statement. They then said they d order the part for me and almost 3 weeks later I haven t heard a word from them. This is despite leaving a message to have them. Call me back and let me know what was going on. Did dealership had no problem calling me regarding my part when it wasn t covered under warranty and they were getting money for it . I realize that sometimes people get busy, but I just don t like being lied to and being told that somebody called me when they didn t but honestly I don t think I would buy a vehicle from this dealership again. I will probably look to having my car serviced at the Portland location that opened up instead of taking my car to Gladstone.

I always love getting my car serviced at Ron Tonkin Kia. They are one of the few places I've been to that provides accurate wait times and punctual service. They are great at going over everything with you and my car always runs much better after I visit. Shout out to Travis and Jennifer for making my experience even better!

The crew at Ron Tonkin Kia in Gladstone Oregon are both professional and friendly. Christian was extremely helpful in not only getting my car fixed in a timely manner, but also gave me a great tip on car maintence I can do myself! I can't imaging taking my car anywhere else.

I d like to start off this review with saying if I could ve put zero stars I would. I came to this dealership looking to buy a Kia telluride I emphasized to the salesman Blake a younger man, that I do not want more than 2 banks to check my credit because I already knew my credit was good. They agreed later I found out that they had pulled my credit from many banks without my permission, absolutely plummeting my credit. I do not trust this establishment nor the employees and if you re looking to get a car DO NOT GO HERE. I hope nobody else is a victim to these scammers at this dealership.

This is my second vehicle I ve purchased from Tonkin Kia and both were absolutely amazing experiences. Our salesman Jakobe was top notch, knowledgeable, and got us exactly what we wanted and I can t say enough good things about Rebecca who has handled the financial side of both purchases and she is absolutely amazing. They both went above and beyond to get me and my husband into exactly what we wanted.

Take caution when buying a used vehicle from Ron Tonkin Kia. They assure you multiple times that they ve throughly inspected the car for any potential issues prior to purchase. Once we purchased the vehicle, we took it to an independent mechanic who immediately found a completely worn wheel bearing which caused some odd wear on the tires ($800 for the wheel bearing and $1,700 for new tires). We reached out to Ron Tonkin to see about getting help with either all or part of this expense as it should have been identified in their mechanics review of the car if they did it as throughly as they claimed. After reaching out consistently for two weeks and never hearing back, we were finally told to screw off .even after giving them our business. They would not even cover the cost of the bearing part minus labor, a mere $300. Overall, I would explore other options than Ron Tonkin Kia if you want to feel secure in a car purchase.

Two words: Boy's Club. My partner and I went to Ron Tonkin buy a car after spending the past month or so at other dealerships narrowing down the decision. In comparison to the other places we had spent time at, the atmosphere at Ron Tonkin was palpably negative. At previous dealerships, even when we had clearly been in a browsing vs buying state, the manager *always* stopped over for a quick hello. Yes, this is a very obvious sales tactic, but also appreciated when you're making a huge purchase decision. Not once did the�manager at Ron Tonkin even glance in our direction during our 3 hours there, let alone give a wave or any form of acknowledgement. He sat in his office with a small group of other male workers in a way that can only be described as boy's club behavior. All that aside, when we got into the financing office, the final sale price had mysteriously increased by several hundred�dollars, despite a number already having been agreed upon (and signed off on) by us and the sales rep. It just felt shady all around. Whatever negative stereotypes/assumptions you may have about the car buying experience, you will very likely experience them here.

If I could give them 1 star I would.As bad of an experience as I could have imagined in dealing with a car dealership.My daughter's Kia engine died, clunking, lots of steam, etc. I called Tonkin because that is where we bought our other Kia. I figured as a previous customer we'd get a little better attention.I explained what happened and that I thought it was a head gasket based on how it sounded. (skipping once on every rotation).I was told they would check it for a warranty repair but would need to charge me $200 to do that. I told them the diagnostic fee was fine, but I didn't want to pay to have it diagnosed if the head gasket would not be covered under warranty. They convinced me to bring it in as they would only say what was covered under warranty after they looked at it. Everything so far is OK, but this is where the nightmare started.I scheduled it for an inspection on December 20. Dropped it off on the 19th. After a couple failed attempts to contact them for a status update, I finally get a text on December 27 that they are still diagnosing the car. OK, it's the holidays, so even though I gave it to them well before, I can deal with some vacation time delays.After hearing nothing for 2 weeks, I started reaching out on the January 9th. It took until the 10th to actually talk to someone other than a barely English speaking answering service that all service calls are routed through.When I finally got a hold of the service person, they told me the head gasket was blown and that caused the engine to seize. Um, the engine wasn't seized when I dropped it off 4 days after it died, it still turned over easily when I dropped it off.I was told that head gaskets aren't covered under the extended warranty. Only the connecting rods are covered. I asked them to look into it further and explain to me how they could check for a connecting rod failure if they engine couldn't turn over. I also asked them to check the battery level to see if that was why they couldn't get it to turn over.I was told the next day that they got my diagnosis mixed up with another car and that the engine wasn't in fact seized, that just the head gasket was blown.At this point, I've had enough dealing with their poor service and not even being able to know which car they are working on and not knowing enough to tell the difference between a seized engine and a drained battery so I decide to come pick the car up and go elsewhere.Once I get there and pay my bill, the weekend service manager goes out to get my car. I thought he was just looking to see where they stored it, but then he comes back in and asks, is this a theft repair service that never got completed? Um, no, it's a blown engine, I just need you to show me where it is so I can load it onto my trailer."Well, your car has been broken into and the ignition is damaged."So, we go out to look at it and the entire shroud around the column and metal pieces of the ignition switch are all over the floor."It looks like your car is a victim of the Kia Challenge where thief's are breaking in to Kia's to try and steal them. We have a bunch of cars in our shop that we are fixing because of this challenge. You'll have to file a claim with your insurance to get this fixed"So, you're telling me that my car was damaged while on your lot with a "challenge" you know is an issue and somehow it's my responsibility when I left it in your care?OK, well, tell me how much it will cost to fix this?Now, two weeks later, I have to call them again to get an answer for the cost of repair and I get the answer "we were waiting to hear from you on what you want to do." I want to do what I asked you to do 2 weeks ago. I want you to tell me what it will cost to fix the ignition and steering column shroud."Ok, we'll have to get back to you on that."Last time I ever deal with Tonkin auto group for any vehicles whether it's a Kia or anything else.Totally pathetic.

I had a great experience buying a Kia Soul in February and it was time for my first service appointment. Travis was great at explaining everything to me and keeping me informed. It is a comfortable waiting area and I am so pleased not only with an outstanding car, but competent and approachable employees that I trust. The paperwork was an extra bonus explaining all the inspection checks.

Jake Ryan and Donovan Spilka worked together to help me find an awesome used truck. The truck wasn t even at Kia but another Ron Tonkin lot, but that didn t stop Donovan from personally showing me himself, he could of easily passed me off to another sales consultant as their was no deal made yet and they could of both been losing out on higher dollar sales, not to mention Jake taking time out of his family vacation to make sure everything went smoothly. True example of Selfless teamwork their at Ron Tonkin Kia!Thanks again Jake and Donovan for helping me feel very comfortable! Hands down easiest and most relax car deal I have ever experienced!

I always have a great experience when coming in to service my 2020 Kia Niro Ev. Everyone is super helpful, friendly and I never feel pressured or awkward. Service took under an hour and I enjoyed a cup of coffee while waiting. Jennifer is fantastic, always ready to answer any questions, and assist with any service needs. I appreciated the info that Aimen gave me on the EV9, which I'm hoping will be my next Kia Ev.
