If you want that classic independent business customer service treatment bring your vehicle here. Owner Jeff Ewan is a hard working, honest guy that always puts his customers first. I love his straight forward no b.s. work ethic. If you need brakes, shocks, a lift, custom suspension or just some questions answered these guys will point you in the right direction. Top level service every time.

Fair, honest, friendly, with character. When it comes to jobs like auto repair, if you re not familiar, it can be worrisome that you re seen a mile away to be taken advantage of. Not here!! You re treated like family, like a newly driving daughter. They ll take care of you and your suspension and alignment needs. Do not hesitate. They re highly trusted and valued!6-stars

Was given a price too fix my front brakes and it was only $36.99 for the pads at AutoZone and my -in-law help me put them on and he even checked for any leaks, none! Everything was fine. So if you have money and you have done business with him in the past your ok, but if you look like you're poor or homeless stay away from this business, you will be treated by what you like you look.

I m amazed at the great work every time I go to Hunter Brake & Alignment. They do quality work at reasonable prices and don t rip you off like other stores have done to me. I have become a customer for life with how good they treat my vehicle. I always tell my friends to forget about those other tire shops and have Hunter Brake do the brakes & alignment instead. Rick & Jeff are both really knowledgeable. While they can be slow to answer the phone sometimes - being a small shop with limited staff- they really do give accurate time commitments to have work completed. They are simply an amazing value and quality workmanship in an automotive world that isn t always easy for the consumer. I really believe in this company - as they have serviced my vehicles over a dozen times in the years I ve been going there .

Jeff is great! He was able to get me in this week for a much needed alignment. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and quick! I totally recommend Hunter Brake and Alignment in Eugene!

Rick is a prick.I walk in for my alignment, my 3 year old toddler in tow, and Rick asks me if anything is wrong with my car. (Obviously so, or I wouldn't have scheduled an appointment).I tell him yes, my car is pulling to the right. He then directs me to look out the window, and condescendingly mansplains to me what road crown is, and how all cars will pull to the right. I've been driving for 22 years...I know what a car should drive like. I inform him of this and he says he will take it for a test drive himself to see if there's anything actually wrong with it. Sure enough, every single number on the diagnostic chart was in the red. Not only did I severely need an alignment, they also found i need a wheel bearing for another $400+, which he called to tell me about but never admitted I needed the alignment.Due to my interraction with Rick, I have already found a different shop to replace my wheel bearing (for much cheaper!), because I refuse to be talked down to and have someone mansplain to me how roads and vehicles work.I have informed both people who referred me to Hunters in the first place- (the tire store I purchased my new tires at right before the alignment, and my brother in law who is a mechanic and often recommends them. Rick's rude and condescending way of treating me was enough to ensure I'll never return to Hunter's, nor will we bring any of our 4 vehicles there again. Not the kind of customer service you'd expect from the co-owner of a local establishment.

Great set of guys, they had a cancellation and was able to do my alignment quick, easy, and at a fair price. I didn't realize how bad it was until they showed me, they do good work and have the best looking Great Dane I've ever seen!*Closest alignment shop to Discount Tire on West 11th.

Rick was very dishonest and told me that my vehicle could not be aligned. I took it to another shop and asked them if there was any problems aligning it. They said no and got it done no problem. Rick still charged me a $100 and said he could only adjust the tow. I would not recommend him to anybody and recommend staying away from him he scams people.

Did half work they said they were doing and left suspension bolt loose which caused all the work ans alignment to be redone at a reputable shop. Was told how seriously dangerous the car was to drive and they 2nd shop was shocked the car made it safely to their shop. Absolutely incompetent and no costumer service or integrity.

Took our Subaru in twice for a "clicking" sound while turning. Owner told us there was wrong with it. Finally, I took it to the Subaru dealership and got the bad axles replaced. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Came in for alignment. Rick had my truck on the rack for no more than 5 minutes and was done. $120 even though the sign behind him says $100. He Answered the phone while I was there and was so rude to a customer it was shocking. Afterwards I got new tires put on and they showed me that my tie rod ends were shot and my lower ball joint was so bad it had almost dropped out. I told them I just got a 5 minute alignment and Rick didn t say anything about the bad ball joint and they were shocked. I definitely got hustled by Rick because he was clear to me and the customer on the phone that he wanted to leave early that day, although it wasn t even noon yet.

I went in for an alignment after replacing suspension and tires on my '08 Outback. They scheduled me right away, turned it around in 30 minutes, and there was no pressure to have more than what I needed done. Just high quality and speedy service, and they gave me a great deal that beat all the other shops I called. Jeff is friendly and professional, and made me feel like a returning customer even though it was my first time in. Strongly recommended.

I was surprised by the level of friendly customer service, knowledgeable staff skill, and professionalism I was provided when I took my wife's car in to have them give her car an alignment. The price was the lowest in town! This is one of those rare events where you don't get what you pay for; you'll get more than expect.

Heck yes! If your vehicle is having alignment issues- these are your people. I initially went to the place where I purchased my tires. They told me I needed shims and the service plus alignment would be $230. I called Hunter to get a price comparison. Jeff started asking me excellent questions and I could tell immediately that he understood my car situation far better than the other crew. He pointed out that they wouldn't even be able to use shims with my disc brakes. He did a full alignment and got my van in spec. for $65. That doesn't include the free advice and time he gave me when I wasn't even his customer. It's a unique experience when you come across experts in their industry- not to mention awesome people skills to boot. I highly recommend their service and I will be back.

Called to make an appointment to get my car worked on. Saw some other reviews critical of their attitude but others said they do good work. Looking for somewhere I could trust to start taking my cars when needed. Called to get a quote from someone named Rick, he wasn't pleasant on the phone but though maybe had a bad day.Called back again to ask a question and spoke with Rick again, he was rude, has an attitude, and probably should not be talking with customers.By the reviews I've read, sounds like others had similar experiences. The other person everyone seems to like, I can't judge their work as I didn't get the chance. I like to give smaller shops work but went back to the big names and had a great experience.They were also the most expensive price compared to 2 others I called. Would have paid it if not for the attitude.Won't try them again.

I have never taken my auto here before and I was referred from my fiance' and he had heard it advertised over the radio station and has had previous experience, (about 3 or 4 years ago) had taken his classic mini cooper here to have an alignment done, and was pretty happy with the work that they did and explanation of the job that was done.So let me just say this. I will NEVER take my car here again.Rick, needs to have an attitude adjustment. He never greeted, explained, nor thanked for my business. And just announced my billing amount. Even though he chatted with my fiance' about the problem that was going on with the tires when he was doing an alignment.Also, he did explain to other customers (and they were all female) what the problem on their vehicle was while I was waiting in the lobby for my car.Now, that's not fair is it?If u want to discuss your problem with your car, I suggest ask for Jeff. He will treat you kindly and will explain the problem and thank for your business.

We used Hunter for an alignment while visiting in Eugene area. We were met for our appointment quickly, our truck was on the rack and being worked on within minutes.The alignment is perfect, we drove over 4800 miles and it runs true! Great value for the $ and the service was excellent.

I just left Hunter brake and alignment and I had to write a review due to how professional the owners Jeff and Rick handled a situation. I walk in for my appointment and I watch a customer go off on Rick. I quickly find out this customer came to get an alignment on his Lexus SUV. He insists that his vehicle was misaligned and he wanted to get it checked . Turns out he was out of alignment and Rick told him so. Rick comes back a few minutes later and is ready to ring the customer up for the labor and the customer blows a gasket. Customer starts saying I never said you could work on my car and then changes his stance to well I thought it was free . Turns out the customer got an alignment there before and was under the impression he bought some magical life time warranty. He insisted the car had only been parked and he just got it checked...2 years and 4 months ago. The guy then has the audacity to haggle with Rick over the work that was done. Saying he shouldn t pay the full price of an alignment, but he d willingly pay half. Rick and Jeff stayed cool and level headed (it was getting so bad I wanted to intervene and give the guy a piece of my mind, but I didn t) and Rick said that s fine if you don t want to pay. I will pull the car back on the lift and put it back to where it was. Customer starts going crazy and getting heated saying that they have no right to ruin the perfect alignment on his car! Jeff and Rick did all they possibly could have to make the customer happy. The customer left without paying but told the guys, I will be back, not because of the service...but because of the quality work you guys do. Jeff and Rick stayed as cool and a cucumber when I would have lost it. After the customer left they gave me a great alignment. I couldn t ask for better service or staff. Would HIGHLY recommend Hunter Brake and Alignment.

I had a awesome experience here. Rick was running the counter AND doing the alignment was awesome. He even found other things wrong with my truck and showed me. Super chill guy and cool to talk to i will be coming back from here on out instead of lazy les schwab for my aligments on all my and my families and friends vehicles. If you think he has an attitude maybe just maybe you could do both his jobs? Give him a chance he really is a nice guy.

I own Get Wrenched Mobile Repair and always send my customers to Jeff for alignments but today he took care of my wife s personal rig. They knocked out an alignment with no appointment for me in about two hrs and their prices are great. This is why I take my vehicles and tell my customers to take their vehicles to these guys they are quick and do it the right way. Thanks again guys for knocking that out so fast!!!

Honest hard working guys. Had to get a lug stud replaced after the dummies at discount tire broke it. Jeff was great. I would recommend them to anyone. It's funny the reviews about "the desk guy" having bad customer service. You must understand that they are multitasking and I can understand if they are just trying to get straight to the point, I wouldn't take it too personal.

I had my brakes worked on at two different shops before going to Hunter and neither of them fixed the issue.I went in to Hunter in the afternoon to schedule a time to have them fix my brakes and they told me they could have it done by the end of the day. They diagnosed the issues with my brakes, provided great customer service by checking with me before performing the work and explained why each piece needed to be done.The work was done with plenty of time for me to get my pickup back in the same day and the cost seemed reasonable. The issue finally seems to be resolved and I'll defiantly go to them for any brake issues I have from now on.

I paid to have my alignment done here for $90. It took 30 mins. I was suspicious that he got it done so fast and provided no explanation. I went to Firestone and had a free check 60 mins later. They said according to their equipment, nothing was done to my alignment. I went back to Rick and he accused me of trust issues and told me Firestone has the faulty equipment and refused to even recheck his work. l would recommend staying clear of Hunter Bake and Alignment.

DO NOT GO HERE! This place would not know customer service if it came and bit them in the butts. I went to get new brakes and while they installed those fine, they broke all four of my hub-caps because they removed them wrong. They're customer service is sub-par at best and clearly did not understand what the hell they were doing. On top of all of this they did not even know how to work the card reader properly in order to pay them (which I regret doing). I will never go here again. Rick is also the absolute worst and should not be working on cars.
