I've known this car service business for years. They are personable, reliable, fairly priced, dependable and solution oriented, always looking for the appropriate resolution to any automobile issue. They will take the time to explain the options. Excellent service! There are few I'd trust my immaculate 2007 XC70 Volvo with. Thanks Ed, staff and mechanics!

I was extremely pleased with the service I received. I had a concern about a noise I was hearing in my car. It turned out it was a very minor issue they were able to address. They were very honest and didn t over charge me for the diagnosis. This will be the first place I take my car in the future.

I have been very fortunate to have found Eugene Car Care. I have an 1988 Volvo 740 & a 2006 XC 70. No one wanted to work on the 1998. This repair shop can still get parts and does an excellent job of keeping both of them running smoothly.

They did a great job completing all the repairs I asked for. Very quick, even when working with a more difficult car with some midwest corrosion. Kept me updated through the whole repair process. Great shop for Subaru repairs!

After $750 tuneup my car would suddenly die for no reason. Took it back in and they charged me an additional $75 to tell me they weren't sure why.

Eugene Car Care has top auto technicians and superior service, but what makes it most special is the owner, Ed Meza. I've gotten to know Ed over the past year, and respect him for his drive to serve customers. And his community. Trust and integrity great traits for anyone, and what you want to see in the owner of a local business.

One evening, my car developed a piercing screech when reversing. I showed up to Eugene Car Care at 7:30 am the next morning, without an appointment, and they graciously agreed to inspect my car. They found and resolved the problem quickly (a small rock lodged against my brake pad). They did not even charge me for the service. I would greatly recommend them to everyone. It is wonderful and rare to find such an honest, conscientious and experienced mechanic shop.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I took my car to my regular mechanic twice to have them diagnose a problem. Both times they guessed incorrectly so I took it to Ed at Eugene Car Care. Ed was able to figure out the problem immediately and repair it the same day. He saved the broken part so that he could better explain what happened and how it was repaired. Not knowing a lot about cars, I appreciated the visual. The repair charge was very reasonable and the repair was done by the time they said it would be. I will definitely bring my car back to Ed for any future repairs. Thank you, Ed and Maureen!Service: Engine repair

Ed Mesa of Eugene Car Care is awesome. The first mechanic I've had that gets the job done without any snafus. Never a shock when I receive the bill. Would and have recommended to family and friends. Have been going there for years, and have never been disappointed.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Very impressed with this service and business! I had repairs done on my car and got a quote for cost. When I came to pick up my car, I was told that when they got inside they realized a $400 repair + part they had ordered wasn t needed. So they appropriately repaired it without this extra cost. They could ve easily repaired this anyway charging me the cost of the part and the labor. As a woman this has happened to me more than once with car mechanics, and it gets really tired. The ethical business model they practice is refreshing! Also they offer $50 off for first time customers. They realized I wasn t given that with my first visit and gave it to me when I came to get my oil changed. The fact he remembered me and once again, was ethical in applying his discount meant a lot to me. In a world where money grabbing and unethical business practices is rampant, a car mechanic company that doesn t do this is so refreshing. I won t go anywhere else!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Oil change

The kindness and professionalism of Ed and his team of people were unsurpassed. I didn't know there were still such decent people in business. Not only was Ed solid and calm when I came in shaken from my car accident, but he walked me through what steps I should take with my insurance. He explained what was wrong with the car in a thorough, non-condescending way, and showed me what would be good to take pictures of. When we found out that my insurance wasn't going to cover the damage to my car, Ed went out of his way to find used parts to reduce the cost to me, cutting off 1.5 K. When the parts took a long time to arrive and he noticed I was struggling with the bus and rental cars for work, he loaned me an extra car until mine was done. When there was an issue with the power steering after the car was returned to me, he had it reprogrammed for free in the time that it took for us to have a lively conversation in the office. I can't thank you guys enough. I'm new to town and don't know many people, and I'm a younger woman with no experience with cars - someone that would have been easy to scam. Instead, I was treated with respect and compassion. I won't be taking my car anywhere else as long as I'm in Eugene.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment

I find it difficult to find a car repair shop with whom you can build a trusting relationship with long term. My experiences over the years have have proven that statement to be true. When a friend recommended Eugene Car Care as a place to have routine service completed on my Subaru Legacy, I was willing to give them a try. The people were friendly and the service advice was up-front and geared towards long-term ownership of the vehicle, which is what I need, as buying a new car is just to expensive right now. I have never actually completed a review on Google before, but I would recommend Eugene Car Care for any Subaru owner out there.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I ve been servicing my Volvo at what I consider to be a very reputable business Eugene Car Care (formerly Swedish Engineering) for coming up on two decades. I ve never had issues of communication, or theft. Ed and his crew of Volvo Certified Mechanics are straight up and honest, competent and courteous. Their reputation precedes them. 287k and still going in my 2001 Volvo S60 Thank you Eugene Car Care. :)

I took a car in that I was getting ready to sell just to make sure everything was okay with it before I sold it and the level of professionalism was amazing. I called for an appointment and they got me in the same day, did a entire inspection and gave me a list of things that needed done as well as things that could be done. They also gave me a print out with what the car would be worth so I had a starting point for selling it. They were AMAZING!! I highly recommend Eugene Car Care!

Had a few really great experiences with Eugene Car Care, and if you own one of the types of cars that they service, don't take it anywhere else! I brought my 2011 Forester in for a 2nd opinion after getting a quote from Kendall to fix a loud rattling. Kendall said the catalytic converter was loose/damaged and needed to be replaced. Eugene Car Care looked it over and found a missing bolt...$4. Rattling is gone and the car is running amazing. Can't thank these guys enough for their honesty especially during these tough times!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Ed helped me find a great used Subaru after my old car died. He checked it out with a fine-toothed comb and negiotated a fair price. This was an invaluable service because I'm car- illiterate and would have ended up with a lemon if it hadn't been for him! Love my "new" Subaru!
