They were very honest about my 2010 Subaru that needs a lot of work. They took pictures of everything and we had a good conversation about if the repairs should happen if we were to keep the car. Again, a lot of upkeep that was missed by other shops, including the dealer. I appreciate their honesty.

I have gone to East Amazon in the past for a standard oil change on my 2012 Toyota Corolla and I guess they did an OK job. However, I wouldn't recommend using them if you happen to be a woman with little or no knowledge of auto repair. I had the same experience as Shoofy (who also posted a review on this site). I needed a transmission fluid drain done and the person I spoke with said that the transmission filter needed also to be changed and he was going to charge me over $500 for this service. That's money I can't really spare. I spoke to a Toyota technician and he told me that my model car doesn't even have a filter, it has a screen. Also that the work the Amazon tech was recommending wasn't necessary. Their pricing is more expensive than the average so I won't be returning to East Amazon Auto in the future.Service: Transmission repair

Best mechanic shop experience EVER!!! They were up front about what my car needs and the cost. Understood that I can't get another car anytime soon so fixing this one is my only option. Worked out a timeline with me going from "needs done now" to "can wait" and a cost estimate for everything. Would HIGHLY recommend these guys!!!

Efficient work, reasonable costs, excellent customer care. Went in for a repair/part replacement on my civic, but they also happen to be a less expensive option for oil changes than your typical chain w/ an included inspection for leaks. Definitely feels like you're in good hands. Kinda feels like this is that holy grail you're looking for when you ask someone in town if they "know a good mechanic".

This is my go to whenever I need maintenance done. I've taken several different cars here over the years and have always been very happy with the price and the quality of work done. They've been able to get me in pretty quickly every time I've called and they're always very friendly. Dave is great at giving detailed explanations so you understand what is wrong, or what they recommend, even if you aren't a car savvy person.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Dave takes great pride in walking through the process of each car and wants people to be confident they know what is going on with their car when they bring it in, what needs to be done, what does not, what is most important, what can wait. They take great care with your vehicle and he leaves a rose on your seat. They are car Dr's and you want to take care of your car so it will last and be safe for your family. They are trustworthy and certified mechanics so you know they know their stuff! This is really a bonus to have a mechanic show that will be honest. I had two places tell me I needed certain repairs around $1200 and I was worried it was a safety issue. I had heard from so many people in my group that Dave was trustworthy so I took my car there and after a thorough inspection I do not have a safety issue and do not need that repair! I have a list of things to work on so I can plan and do them as I can. This is invaluable and I so appreciate Dave and the crew at East Amazon!! Then he places a rose on the seat of your car! I recommend them to everyone I know that mentions needing car work! A place that will be honest with you that your money would be better spent getting a new car rather than dumping money into a pit that needs as much money put into it. That is a great thing and will help you save money in the long run.

Professional, efficient, and great work! When I first called Dave got me in within 2 days (it was a 2 week wait other places in town!). He had my car diagnosed within 1 hour and new starter ready to go by noon! I thought I needed my serpentine belt replaced as well (thats what the oil change people told me) but Dave was nice and honest and told me until it had 6 cracks or 6 inches of damage it is still safe, save my money!A few days later my car had starting issues again so I called back and he had the next problem fixed in 72 hours and again did not overcharge me.Did I mention he puts a rose on your drivers seat when its all done? What a kind touch! Thank you, I have found my new mechanic in Eugene and would highly recommend to anyone!

SO HAPPY w/East Amazon Auto Service! I had 4 service lights lit up on my dash, all related to the braking system. RATS had chewed through my wiring (and also my back seat, but that s another story) and Dave had to remove my back seat to get to the problem area. I ve included a picture of my affordable bill, so you can see for yourself. They do so much RIGHT here! The affordable hourly shop rate, the rose left on my front seat, how kind Dave was and how he explained everything to me, and the beautiful Chocolate Lab named Callie who gives the best customer service ever Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic

Thank you David, Crew and your big brown beautiful puppy!! My little old Ford Ranger runs so smooth since I picked her up from your shop. She feels like a new truck (well almost) Because of circumstances I had let maintenance on my vehicle go until all those mystery noises needed attention. Wonderful service, quick turnaround, complete diagnostic evaluation. Though I was not able to have everything done at once, they informed me what was the most important---so as the $$ (from my ship) comes in I will get the additional repairs done. And The Rose....well what can I say!! What a wonderful surprise. Thanks again. You are my mechanic from here on out!! Good job!

Took my 2008 Ford Focus in for an Engine Mount Vibration Inspection "without an appointment" and during lunch hour!I had implied to him that that I have some sort of vibration coming from the steering wheel and foot pedals. There are also loud rattling noises coming from the engine compartment.The mechanic I met there was extremely polite and he even went out of his way to take a look at my Engine Motor Mounts "without" any shop labor charges.This shop appears to be not busy at the time. He went through the motions of having me starting the car for him.At the end of inspection, he had "confirmed" that there is a movement in the engine compartment associated to all three engine mounts and he recommended that it will be needed replacement on these Mounts in the near future.I'll be willing to take my car in for more services in the near future.

At first I feared going to any mechanic because of the reviews but east Amazon Auto really didn't have any bad reviews at all. called last week and got an appointment for today. They went through everything found all the problems that was there, but they were able to fix all of it and in a very timely manner at a very decent price. They were respectful, decent, have a clean building, clean shop. The work got done quickly. What needed to be done was itemized clearly and thank you for the rose on the seat. I did not feel confused or take advantage of or left out everything was explained thoroughly and I appreciate them. God bless these folks.

I have had cars serviced at East Amazon for many years and have always been very happy with the service and advice provided. They always check in and provide solid info about what needs doing now, what can wait, and what is optional. Great work, solid advice, fair prices. Dave and the rest are great.

Deceptive, pricey and SexistTrue, this dealer charges less for diagnostics than some other auto repair shops, but they doubled the charge for parts and tried to get me to pay for additional service I didn t need right away; all or nothing, with a hefty total. I am a woman and first time vehicle owner with no knowledge of car mechanics. When I had my male friend talk to him, the guy agreed to charge me only for the immediate issue but said he wouldn t insure it. If you went to a doctor, wouldn t you want an explanation for your procedure and to know your options? This guy did not give me the explanation he offered my male friend, nor did he itemize the breakdown until I asked.I headed to Autozone, bought the parts, and my friend did the repair . I learned something new and will go for good service next time.

Dave, who owns East Amazon Auto Repair may not always have good news for you as he says, but he is honest and trustworthy. As a woman, having an auto mechanic that I can trust is very important to me. Dave and the East Amazon group have maintained four different cars for me over the past 20 years. They are always thorough, professional, and friendly. I have appreciated their advice and recommendations, and my cars have remained healthy. None of my cars were sold or traded-in due to mechanical problems. And be sure to ask Dave about his pigs and pork products!

Five stars from me. I usually do work myself but recently have had to divert from that approach. I took a vehicle here for an oil change and was happy with the clean results, the customer service and the knowledgeable staff. It is true that an oil change is not much to go by -but I would say it is enough to get a feel for if a shop means well or not. This is a good clean little shop that I think means well and does good work.

Get all the details before going. Scheduled my appointment in advance and just said I needed a maintenance check and some oil. There were no other questions so I assumed they would take care of me. I woke up early to get there, only for them to tell me they couldn't give me a ride because I didn't ask and because they don't drive to West Eugene. Couldn't get my car serviced, so I had to schedule somewhere else instead. I'm sure they are good people, but it would help them out to clarify things with the customer beforehand. I want to support local business and hope that next time they will get all of the details worked out ahead of time.

I suppose they get an extra star for the quality of their work being fine, but after I got back my car from them with a new problem, instead of trying to work with me to figure out what happened they instead insisted that the problem was already there when they got it and apparently I m a liar. Definitely recommend looking elsewhere.

I woke up yesterday morning like any other morning before work. And come to find out my car won t start. It started the day before but today it just won t.I get it towed to East Amazon Auto repair and within a day of checking things out they figured out exactly what was keeping my car from starting.A faulty Starter Interrupter Device from the dealership we bought the car from was the culprit.The issue was fixed in record time. And my car is back to purring again.I will bring all my car needs here in the future.The rose on the seat was a definite plus picking up my car.Service with a flower!Jedi

this guy has no idea what he is doing. Twice Ive had other auto repair shops say e amazon mis diagnosed and charged for stuff that was not necessary. exactly what you do not want in a mechanic. some of the reviews are obviously fake,

Had my AC fixed here. When I called for an estimate, Dave chatted with me for a long time about replacing my condenser, which I already knew needed to be done, and warned me that he was likely within 10% of any other shop and that I should get it done by somebody that I trusted. My car was ready with a rose by 3 PM the next day, for 12% less than another place had quoted me. Needless to say, I trust these guys now.Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

While visiting from out of town, my car completely died. It was towed to East Amazon Auto Repair, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. Despite countless hours working on the car, they only charged me $95 and left a yellow rose in my car to boot.

East Amazon Auto did a great job fixing my truck, and have it running better than it has in years. Did not exceed their quote, did a great job explaining what they were fixing, with no pressure to do unwanted extra work.
