DECEPTIVE SELLING PRACTICES Costco sells tires claiming an 80,000 mile warranty.What they don t tell you at the point of sale, is that you have to use the warranty within five years - otherwise there is no pro-ration!When confronted about it, the manager stated that it is all explained in the warranty paperwork.The only problem with this is that you don t receive your warranty paperwork till AFTER the tires are installed!While I was standing there discussing this with the manager, they used the same presentation on a prospective customer standing at the counter luckily I was able to tell him before he purchased, and he ended up going to a local tire store.Bridgestone had zero interest in making this right.So, long story short, we paid $900 for 80,000 mile tires, and got 42,000 out of them

Had my tires balanced and rotated here Monday. Given a prior issue with a different Costco Tire Center I had explained to employees, I had another experience I was not satisfied. I specifically requested they address and ensure the proper air pressure were verified. When I drove away, I could feel the front tires were over inflated. The TPMS Readings were 10 pounds higher than they were supposed to be. I went back to Costco but there was nobody at the counter. I went to self inflation area and corrected them myself. It's really sad every time you have something done, you have double check and correct poor work. It seems so simple. Balance Rotation and ensure pressure is correct. But here we are again with Costco Tire Centers. Hopefully the lugs were torqued correctly.

Sadly, after decades of using Costco Tire Centers for all may tire needs, their service has gone downhill. Trying Goodyear now. So far, excellent service. Tires installed look to be similar price and specs.

In terms of customer service the staff at the service desk, it is severely lacking!We went in for a simple tire repair as we picked up a bolt right in the middle of the tire on our drive that day. We called ahead as it was on a Sunday and we were about 35-40min from their location in Eugene. The initial call was pleasant and professional and they had an available time slot that fit our schedule. We had given them all of the information requested on the truck and they were also informed that our tires had not been purchased through them, we were assured that this was not a problem as it was just a flat repair. Upon arrival they proceeded to tell us they took the wheel off and noticed we had wheels spacers, which was false. When we confronted them of their false claim they became extremely rude when it was visually pointed out there were in fact no wheel spacers. The service writer fell back on the fact we didn't purchase the tires from them. We stated that we were told that it was not a problem when we called ahead but the service write just gave us a dirty look and refused to continue the when they had already charged us for a flat repair. They eventually refunded us our money and we went on our way. If you're looking for help from this service center, it would be in your best interest to call someone else if you value your time.

Visited the tire center for the first time today to get a tire rotation, repair, and nitrogen air fill-up. I was pleased with the excellent customer service, explanation, and friendliness. Everything took about 2 hours, which was fine I as spent that time shopping and eating at Costco. Will visit again!

I tried calling, three times, to have my tires rotated. I finally just went in and talked with them and scheduled an appointment the next day. They are busy but always courteous helpful and extremely accommodating. They apparently have a shortage of workers, unable to hire people to fill those positions. I guess the secret is out that their car tire sales have been in outstanding feature in quality of the product. I'm very pleased with all of my car tire purchases.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I went in last week for a new set of tires to be ordered during a sale that they had going on. They told me that they had no tires available but to come back next week for a new sale and gave me a quote for 2 different tires. I come in today and apparently the guy last week quoted me for two different sizes of tires. Both of which were out of stock! The guy today tells me oh too bad you didn t come in last week, we had a sale for this other set of tires I told him that I did and the guy last week told me he was out of stock. So then todays guy tells me that he has this set of tires in stock. So we get them ordered and when he goes to check me out, he says oh, actually I put the discount on from last week, which was wrong so it s actually this amount. ($150 more than originally quoted.) I asked him if he would be able to honor that price since I just came in last week for a quote and they told me they didn t have any availability and that he just quoted me with the discount. He turns and says we ll I don t know! With a big attitude and walks in the back and comes back with the answer Nope. This is the price you can either pay it now or go somewhere else and pay it. This is such horrible customer service. Our interactions before this last part we re great. He started out nice, and just snapped. I m very disappointed and will never be recommending Costco Tires to anyone! Horrible customer service and both interactions were giving wrong information.

The price was pretty good, the service is S L O W !!! I went back with a nail in my tire and was told it would be a 2 HOUR wait just to get in the shop. I left and spent $20 to get it done in 45 minutes. I went back in today to get a screw out of my tire, I had a 7:00 pm appointment, it took them an HOUR and 15 MINUTES to take care of this one! This is the LAST set of tires I will buy at Costco! End of story.

Guys and gals that work there are awesome! I gave them a low review because they are extremely understaffed. It took 3 hours to put on new tires and 2 of those hours was my car in the parking lot waiting to get into the bay for them to work on it. I would plan on spending at least a couple of hours here if you are getting new tires and don't be mad at the employees because they do try and help as much as possible

The negative reviews are true. These guys are not interested in repairing tires or honoring warranties. They only care about is selling new sets of 4 tires. I brought in a tire that picked up a nail and went flat. I bought the tires there so I wanted to give them a chance to provide the service on it. It took them 4 hours to call me back and let me know the tire "was unrepairable." And "your truck is 4 wheel drive, so you need to buy 4 new tires." I've put my truck in 4 wheel drive once in 3 years, in the snow. Since I wasn't born yesterday, I picked up my tire, drove to Les Schwab's on Harlow, and they plugged the tire, installed it, and put my spare tire back under my truck, FOR FREE. I love Costco for shopping, but their tire center is a sham. Go elsewhere.

Great prices and friendly, knowledgeable staff, but they are woefully undermanned at the service counter. Expect to wait a long time dropping your car off or picking it up. I waited 30 minutes to pay for my tires in 30 minutes to pick the key up when I was told that it was done. They simply do not have enough staff at the counter to handle the number of customers that are waiting for service.

Absolutely ridiculous. More than 2 weeks ago, one of the tires on my Subaru went flat. Since I got my original set from Costco, I went back there to get a replacement tire. The technician told me they don't have my tire in stock. He ordered one tire for me and told me they should arrive within 3-5 business days.A week goes by, I don't hear from them. So I call them...again and again. They NEVER pick up the phone, nor do they return messages. Even when I call Costco's customer service desk, they can't get ahold of anyone at the tire center for me.The second week goes by, I still don't hear from them. So I go into their office in person. All they can tell me if my tire has not arrived and they don't know why. They would attempt to call the manufacturer to check on the order, but I walked away empty-handed. No answers to anything. I haven't been able to drive on the freeway because the spare tire doesn't allow me to drive over 50 mph. I'm supposed to travel to Portland from Eugene this week.I went to a different tire shop and come to find, you can't just replace one tire on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. You have to replace all 4 tires or else the tread depth will be mismatched. This can cause further problems with your vehicle in the future.The technician at this other tire shop took a look at my flat tire and told me it was actually repairable. They fixed it for free and sent me on my way. I don't even need to pay for a new tire(s). Costco Tire Center never even bothered to look at my flat tire or point out that you can't put one new tire on an AWD vehicle.Absolutely awful service from them. I don't know what's going on with that department. But they need to get their act together. Maybe it's because they're the only Costco in Eugene so they don't care about quality, since they already have the quantity.

Great experience here. I had a Costco pair of tires that had a complicated puncture in it. They poured extra time and energy to repair it the best they could. I m super happy with the service and will gladly return to this tire center.

I asked them to throw my new tires onto new wheels I had. 4 1/2 hours later they put the tires on the wrong wheels and I had to pay $70 somewhere else to fix their oversight.They damaged ALL of my wheels they touched, with my repair quotes at $500 to repair the set!Despite meeting all of their requests, Laura the adjuster called to tell me that she deemed themselves innocent on the matter and said they won t take any responsibility.That was a real shock, as I and my family have been executive members for a long time. I have grown accustomed to Costco taking customer service seriously.I learned today, that Costco is now as sleazy as the worst of them. The 1 star rating says it all.If the BBB can t make this work I will see Costco in Small Claims Court soon.Don t go here unless:-You love to circle endlessly for parking.-Like to wait 3 hours or more (4 1/2 for me) for Tires-You Like the thought of all of your rotations and other required tire service also taking forever.-You like people who don t follow directions-You like the thought of them damaging your wheels-You enjoy the feeling of Costco (adding insult to injury) insinuating that you are dishonest and taking absolutely no accountability to correct the damage they caused.Costco has clearly lost their way by letting this train wreck of a store continue.If you still shop at Costco Tire after reading this, then you deserve what you get. -Update: After the BBB was involved, Costco sent me a courtesy check of $70 to pay for me having to remount the tires elsewhere on the right wheels.Costco however continued to refuse all of my offers to negotiate on the wheel damage, until the end. The judge delivered justice and made them buy my wheels for the price it will take me to purchase new wheels and they are to pay another $100 for my court fees.I ve learned my lesson, don t go to Costco for tires or wheels!

Got a screw in our tire driving through the parking lot at 530pm on a Sunday. Tire center.closed at 6 and the ONE guy working-Ryan-was working on another car. Though he was a little worried about the timing, he was cordial and took great care of us and we were out the door at 6pm onnthe dot. Thank you, Ryan. We are Grateful.

Good service and very cheap. We had a screw in our tire which was really bad. They got us in and out, and on a Sunday! Thank you Costco crew and Chris for a great job.

Even with an appointment horribly slow, always a long wait! No proper area for customers to wait. Employees try their best but seem short staffed or a mix of some employees that don't care. Be wary buying or utilizing Costco Tire take your money, time, and business elsewhere.

I wondered why the reviews were so bad. Out of the 4 times i have dealt with the tire center each time has taken me over 3 hpirs for something that should take 45 min max. Currently been sitting waiting for an air pressure check/fill for 45 min. I keep calling being told they will be out yet nobody is coming. I will not be getting tires here again.

Great prices, and the staff is very competent in the limited services they offer. But, don't expect coddling and hand-holding. If you or your vehicle are high maintenance / special needs, you'll be happier elsewhere.

Every time I rotate my tires one is out of balance. It's been driving me crazy this time, but I simply dont have the time to go wait for an hour or more to get it balanced. Ugh!! Otherwise, Got what I paid for. Good service.

Reserved a WED 3pm appointment. Confirmed the tires size and make (reserved them). When my wife showed up at the appointed time- no appt in the books and her tires were reserved for someone else. Sent away empty handed. GO SOME WHERE ELSE.

This location has double reach gas nozzles. It can reach around a E- series on the opposite side.Staff is very efficient!!

It took one hour to remove a nail and patch the hole. There wasn t even any cars in the service bays when I got there. I have never had to wait that long for a tire repair at other shops.

Had a set of tires mounted that I did not purchase from Costco. Very couteous and fast. Cost less than anywhere else in town.

Very nice helped me get a patch in a tire on what appeared to be a very busy Sunday! Patch was free and they stayed a bit late to get the tire back on. It was much appreciated!

They only service the tires off the shelf. Don't ask for anything more. Couldn't help me thought I would save everyone the wasted trip.
