I was quoted almost $1,300 for power steering problem. I took it to Affordable they fixed the problem for $140 7 months ago still going strong no problem. go somewhere else!!!

The technician got my car ready on time. They needed to buy a part and do more labor than expected on the transmission, but informed me first and asked for permission to do the work. Receptionist was able to answer my questions over the phone. Easy to make an appointment in a timely manner. Really appreciated getting a ride to and from work since I work locally. Each person I had contact with was professional and informative. I am pleased to have a local mechanic I can trust.

Perfect car repair service. They're upfront, give a written estimate and call if there's anything iffy showing up while they're looking at my car. And if there's something they can't do (I drive a VW and that requires special tools for some jobs) they're honest about it.My only regret is that I have to take it to the dealership for those 'special tools'. The Car Doctor is so much nicer to deal with. And much more reasonable prices!

I am new to Dallas and have been looking for a local service/repair place. I took my car in last week for an oil change. They also diagnosed the cause of an ongoing issue with a drive belt that shredded without an apparent reason, removed the hidden rock that was causing the problem and put in a new part. I could not be more pleased with their professionalism, skill and courtesy.

I was one of those annoying customers that did not plan to go out of town well and my vehicle was way overdue for service! The shop got me in that day, looked my car over closely and eased my mind for my travels, and made a few recommendations to address. I will gladly return and next month I plan to bring it in for a fuel injection cleaning.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Went in for a diagnosis as my car was flashing the check engine light and showing cylinder misfires when read. The car ran fine, was just a little rough on startup. They diagnosed an oil leak and found my oil to be dangerously low, hence the cylinders misfiring and several other not good codes. They did an oil change and the car began running way worse than it did when we dropped it off. It was shaking and the engine was very loud and touchy and was horrible to drive. They said I had damaged the engine beyond repair and my only option was to completely replace the engine. They said there was little hope of finding an engine for my mini cooper and i m probably better off scrapping the car. I took it to another mechanic and they found that a hose had been knocked loose during the oil change, which was causing the engine to run so horrible. He reattached the hose, and now the car runs fine. There was a leak which we needed to find and patch but the car was only made undrivable through the car doctors complete negligence. Telling me I need an entire new engine rather than double checking their own work and finding a simple mistake that was affecting the drivability of the car. I ll never go back, and I can t recommend J s Mechanic Shop more for actually taking the time to look into the issue and find a fix rather than just overcharging to swap parts like the car doctor. I d give zero stars if I could, it s just so disappointing.

I had a light on in my car that was draining my battery. They tested my electric system and found it. Only charged me for testing could have done a complete electrical redo. Like many other reviewers I had a less than pleasurable experience. They promised many call backs and never did. They also asked for more add'l hour and 5 hours later they still were not done. Like charged me for something I had a coupon for it was for a diagnostic ,man told me that was checking everything from front to back they said they found a small oil leaking oil. Pan,they put dye in oil and told me to bring it back in a week. I did,then she told me 217$ for diagnostic charge. I told her about the coupon but that didn't matter I had to pay to get my car.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection
