I recently went to High Country Automotive for much needed repairs on my SUV and needed a reliable mechanic nearer our home in Crescent. We found High Country Automotive to have great reviews. The front suspension was in disrepair, we also had a complete tune-up, oil change and a front and rear suspension replacement with Rough Country 2" lift kits and have been enjoying a very smooth air-ride experience since. High Country Automotive is not only very reliable, they take their time to go over all the details of the repair before and after, even a few small details were taken care of that I missed. They gave us excellent prices on parts and their work is impeccable, we most highly recommend them! Don't go anywhere else if you want good dependable work, knowing your vehicle is road sound and safe for your family to travel in, High Country Automotive is a business that takes great pride, integrity in their work and take care of their customers as family. Support your local business or even if you live the jext town over, don't get caught up in cheaper, less expensive mechanics, bring your vehicle to these people who already charge bottom prices in parts but they provide the very best service in repairs!

Where does one start On wednesday night Thursday morning around 1am I hit a huge rock in the middle of no where driving from Vancouver Wa to Klamath OR. There was no service so I had to drive my car a bit till I finally got 1 bar of signal (that messed my rims even more). I knew everything and everyone would be close as it was the middle of night/morning. The next day we call a towing business (I believe his name was Gary) very kind gentlemen to take me to the nearest tire shop. To my blessing I was taken to HCA where I met Lena and Shawn. From the minute I step into their property I was treated with kindness, respect, empathy, love and words just would never describe the magnificent souls I got to encounter. The entire day they spend shopping arounds for my rims and tires to have me back on the road as soon as possible. Its hard to find Jeep 2017 rims (I have encounter this in the past) they didn't give up to also find a decent price as they understood this was an unexpected accident and I was limited with funds. They made sure I had a warm loving home to lay my head for the night and had something delicious in my tummy. The hospitality was just out of this world, not seen too often these days, but Shawn and Lena went above and beyond and I didn't just feel like their customer I left feeling like I made family. I will for sure be seeing them again and definitely recommend them to anyone in or out the area. To top it off my car feels better than when I had it before the accident. He made sure I left with a safe vehicle by testing it first before I got in it. Again words cant describe how beautiful thoughtful kind of humans I got to meet that Thursday morning.I am beyond grateful for Lena and Shawn and family. I love you all and feel so appreciated. Highly Recommend!! On our way home to Eastern Oregon Our car got a flat just outside of town. Shawn used his automotive skills and put a tire on it for us after work hours! so we could be on our way home safe! Stellar service and amazing staff! This shop is absolutely the best! Shawn went out of his way more then once to help with our recent mechanical issue. I have known him for a while as our kids are in school together, but this was my first time having to use his services. He took us to the car that broke down on the side of the road from the school after a function they had. He then towed the car to his shop and took us home. We needed a clutch, flywheel, and trans mount. He got it all done in under a week. When the vehicle was done he had his lovely wife Lena come pick me up, then pick my ex up so we could go get the car! I can not recall ever having a service provider make me feel more like they cares and deserved my business. I will be taking all my vehicles to High Country from now on!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

10 stars!Absolutely the best experience I ve ever had at an auto shop.The owners treated me like family, they got me back on the road within hours after a tow truck bent my tie rod something horrible. Went it expecting to be stuck for a few days, and nothing short of a miracle was performed on my car.If you re broken down or stuck near Crescent - I d highly recommend stopping by High Country Automotive for honest and impeccable work.Thank you Shawn + family!!!

Quick and friendly service. Drove into a snowbank and got stuck. They got to me in less than 30 minutes and were able to pull me out without issue. Tried calling multiple tows in the area but none were able to help except for Sean.

10 stars! The crew at High Country Automotive were amazing! They helped me dig my car out of soft snow and pushed it back to stable ground. They went way beyond what was expected. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They helped this stranded motorist get back on the road when no other company could. Thank you so much!

Shawn and his family were amazing I totalled my car and for under 3000 dollars, after all heck from insurance and towing he got me on the road did work above his shops generall ability treated me amazing and communicated every second. hidden fees. These guys went above and beyond to help me address the service engine light that unexpectedly came on while I was driving my van yesterday headed from Bend to the Bay Area. They were proactive in getting started, transparent about what was needed and also didn't mind me asking questions about their processes and the parts (I'm trying to learn more about car mechanics!!), overall just extremely gracious and also fun to hang out with! The owner's wife even went and picked up the part needed for the repair!!! Price was extremely fair and I feel so much gratitude for their efforts in helping me get home safely. I would absolutely come here again for any repair work needed and maybe even to say hello :) Thanks again guys!!

The guys Shawn and Bruce definitely know what they're doing. Eager to get the job done and send there customers out safe. I am from Redmond and have been taking all of my vehicles here for a long time for tire needs and mechanics need. Highly recommend the guys.

Shawn was awesome. I don't normally give reviews but he went above and beyond to ensure I could make it home the same day my car broke down. The alternator went out. He ordered the part while waiting for me to get a tow to his shop. He then worked with me when my tow company kept delaying their arrival time. When we finally got there he got the job done in short order and had us back on the road in no time at all. He and his team were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend his shop and my experience was fantastic.

Main point- Came to help when no one else would.I had myself stuck in a large snow bank, and was trying to find a company to help get me out. I was struggling to find a someone that would come out to where I was and help me. I called High Country and they came out very quickly. My truck would still be sitting there if it weren t for these guys. Can t recommend them enough

We pulled into High Country Automotive early afternoon on Friday July 16th with an odd noise in our 1998 Minnie Winnebago 7 hours into day 1 of a 10 day road trip.Within 10 minutes, Shawn and Bruce diagnosed the problem as a fried engine AC Compressor. They called around and the best they promise was getting the part in on Monday or Tuesday. They advised returning to Bend as there was more options. Shawn let us use his hot spot (our TMobile reception was not working) and after 30 minutes of calling repair shops in Bend, we determined that High Country was our best option of getting back on the road.Shawn recommended an RV park (owned by his landlord) down the road about a mile. Shawn called the next morning (Saturday) to let us know that the part was in and by mid afternoon had us back on the road.Can't say enough good things about High Country - honest, professional and going the extra mile!!!Service: Engine repair

Fuel filter dead.I m trying to write how they helped me and how they fixed it.First of all, I was In California. Bought this truck in June? Then recently headed north to Oregon. Am a single retired woman planning on Traveling now. Stopped and my truck wouldn t restart. Jumpstart did not help. AAA couldn t help because even though I have premium account, there couldn t find me. They need an address. They couldn t even find the train station I was at.I told them I would look on my own. I found high country autiomotive in Creacent. I was 15 or miles away. I talked with them. Got the truck started because they thought it was the fuel filter. I got it started and was able to drive it to their shop.And then they fixed it. Amazing shop! It makes me want to live here. Amazing! They do amazing work!on Hwy 97 in Crescent. Amazing help!

These guys were amazing, and really seem to take pride in their work. They fixed a bad oil leak, and got me back on the road as fast as was possible, all for a fair price. High Country Automotive go above and beyond what normal mechanics have ever done for me. They will notify you of any issue and not just the matter at hand. I grateful for this as 2 mechanics before them in different towns completely ignored an important piece of the driveline that was snapped in half.Their prices are fair for a remote mechanic and they have been available after hours as well.I highly recommend using their shop for any mechanical issue you have, or even just an oil change

Diamond in the rough! They have the skills, speed and tools to get the job done! They are totally fair on their pricing way exceeding my expectations. They can fix just about anything that runs on gas, diesel or propane and when everywhere south is booked out for months they have available this week! Located in Gilcrest it is just a short trip over to them to get your toys, trucks and tools running their best. Much better than running out to Redmond or Bend and then waiting weeks. Bring your everything to these guys and you won't be disappointed!

Great repair shop. Had an unfortunate disaster where my rim imploded on itself going down the highway causing my tire to roll away from me after the sudden implosion sheared off all the studs for the lug nuts while i was 8 hours away from home. High Country fixed it the very next morning at a very good price including them driving their own personal vehicle to pick up the needed parts. Nothing but good things to say about the repair shop in the small town of Crescent, Oregon.

The owner and his employees go above and beyond what is required of a mechanic shop. I will always bring my vehicle to him. He is the best encounter I have come across within 500 mile radius. He explains everything in detail and is fair with pricing especially being a remote mechanic shop

my partner and i were roadtrippin when our manual sedan stopped shifting gears. our fears were compounded by how all the shops in bend and la pine were packed and we'd likely have to break the budget staying at motels waiting to know what was wrong with the car. we took our chances on this place, and we were really glad we did. they had us come in right away and diagnosed the problem which ended up as nothing serious. that same day they were able to put the car back in order, and we were back on our merry way. kudos to shawn and the crew.

I worked with Sean over the phone to get my son's car repaired and he went above and beyond so much so that I paid him $50 more than he billed me! You can tell he is a hard working guy, trying to make a small business work and I respect that and appreciate his honest and hard working approach to his business.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO LA PINE!! After 4 days of I ll let you know what s wrong with your car tomorrow I finally just showed up at the shop and waited 2 long hours during their business hours for anyone to show up.... Only to find out that they hadn t even tried to figure out what was wrong with my car! Had a freaking excuse for everything!! Wrote me up 1400+ dollar quote on the spot and I said screw it and towed my car somewhere else. Now I ve got a 400 dollar quote to fix the same issue..... Oh and did I mention that the issue in my car is often caused by incorrect oil viscosity and guess who changed my oil last!? These guys!Maybe it was a fluke, but I definitely left feeling lied to, screwed over, and like they had just tried to scam me!

Took my jeep in and had shawn look at it. He did some work on it. Super happy with the service all the way around!! He is supwr fair on prices amd backs his work!! I highly recommend this place!! I wont tale my cars to anyone else!

They helped out my friends when they were broke down on the side of the road with a shredded belt in one vehicle and then went to their shop and fixed their head gasket and water pump on another vehicle.

Helped us out after a chunk of wood pierced our tire after all the other shops were closed, and we were a long way from home. Reopened for us, patched the tire and got us back on the road. Thank you guys so much!
